• Danny (8/5): Cómoda y bien ubicada. - Excelente ubicación cerca de Universal Studios a tan solo 15 minutos caminando. Las instalaciones muy limpias y un baño amplio con todos sus implementos muy abastecidos. No me gustó que al momento de hacer el check out, alguien de la administración vino a tocar a mi puerta 5 minutos antes de las 10 am, diciendo que ya era hora del check out. Creo usualmente se viene hacer el recordatorio cuando se pasa de la hora del check out. Entiendo que necesitan hacer la limpieza a tiempo para tener listas las habitaciones para el siguiente huésped, o que estén cortos de personal, etc. Sin embargo, creo no era necesario hacer el recordatorio antes, sino en el caso que el huésped se está tomando más tiempo como media hora. Pero en general la estancia estuvo muy bien para un día o fin de semana.

• Daliliah (6/5): Good location, get what you paid for. Run down. - The location is great if you’re visiting Universal. There’s parking in front of your room which is nice. The rooms are run down. There’s patches on the walls and dust everywhere.

• Ally (10/5): Better than the photos show, amazing staff! - The place was absolutely adorable, so much better than the pictures can even show. And there’s parking spots in front of each room and a gate that they close at night you can still get in and out from. Beds were so comfortable, I’m used to hotels being firm with very thin blankets but this one was like sleeping at home. Staff was so friendly and accommodating the whole time, we loved them.

• Erika (10/5): Cute little boutique style hotel tucked off of a main road. - The room here was small, but cozy enough to plop down in the bed after a long day at the parks. The office staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure we had all that we needed, even calling me on my way over to let me know to get there as soon as possible, as the parking lots were almost full! I don't know any hotel that would do this. The rooms are kind of tucked away from the street, so there's not much noise. I'm bummed that I didn't get their names, especially since they remembered mine each time we interacted. The rooms were spotless, which was a nice surprise these days. We were able to walk without shoes without our socks turning a gross gray color. Anyway, I could go on. Bottom line, for the price, location, and atmosphere, this place is a steal. Will absolutely stay here again next time we're in LA! No complaints. Everything was great!

• Margaret (1/5): FALSE ADVERTISEMENT - The layout of the room and that it was a corner room. I made a reservation expecting a vintage exterior cottage with its own garage so I don’t worry about looking for parking. They sent me to the hotel next door with no reserved parking and basic exterior design rooms right next to each other. That hotel has its own page and they almost cancelled my reservation I had to go there in two hours from when they opened the rooms. I had confirmation ahead of time, the didn’t accept my card right when they open. Don’t know if they were expecting me not to make it and cancel my room, or send some people to the other hotel all the time. Complete false advertisement.
• Tamar (6/5): If you want a throw-back experience to the old days of motel stays—with a clean room, thank goodness—this is for you! - Good proximity to Laurel Canyon, studios, etc. Clean room; cold mini-fridge. Designated parking spot next to the room for no extra charge. Room was hardly “deluxe”—no table lamps for night reading, no comfortable chairs, no tissues, not enough room to open two suitcases! Not comfortable for hanging out; a room for sleeping only. Coffee set-up in the lobby was meager, too—no half & half, packaged, unappealing “muffins.”

• Jean-Noel (9/5): - Xavier The front desk clerk was very friendly and joked a lot. The place was clean and it was very convenient to walk to places to eat nearby. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice with plenty of hot water.

They lock the front gate at midnight which adds a measure of safety. 15 minute walk to the metro. Rooms in the newer section were a bit drab and smaller, did not feel they were worthy of the rate, didn’t look the way most of the pictures indicated. They were happy to move us to one of the older rooms.

• Ty (4/5): An affordable stay near Hollywood but in need of repairs and a facelift. - The location and ease of parking was phenomenal! Our host was funny and relaxed. Rooms were recently partially renovated and have nice floors and a decent bed. The shower had great pressure and was warm and sizeable! The rooms are lacking in normal hotel amenities, namely convenient bedstands with device chargers and a smart tv (only cable tv options). The bathroom had a ceiling stained with mold (might have been dead but still visible) and the shower grout had a large green stained portion. The bathroom door did not shut due to damage. The bathroom window did not lock and was big enough for a skinny person to crawl through. The mini fridge was very loud and woke us up multiple times in the night when it turned on.

• April (4/5): Clean and good location, but I wouldn't stay again. - No breakfast or coffee/ tea. Hot pot in room, but no tea or water in room. I've stayed here once before and had a pleasant experience. The staff was friendly, made recommendations and we had a good time. This time around the staff was rude when we arrived early to start the check in process. We had early access 2pm tickets to horror nights and were just looking to process payment and pick up a key so that when we come in late we could just crash. We were not asking to enter the room early. While they did end up accommodating us, it was clear they were peeved and we were huge inconvenience for them. This location will not respond to requests online. The guy was not friendly at check out either. While the room was clean and the location is nice, I would not stay here again. Spend your money elsewhere.

The room was spotless!!! We were especially grateful for the front desk staff. Extra security at night. Excellent location. Simply wonderful experience! We have stayed in several hotels in the greater Burbank area, and the El Royale is now our *FAVORITE* place to stay!!! Looking forward to a visit Spring 2026! Thanks to all the staff & management for everything! ...One more thing...Bed was FabulouS, excellent mattress 😀 Absolutely *nothing* negative to mention. Everything was WONDERFUL!

• Kurt (3/5): Clean and Quiet… but Creepy Vibes and Odd Staff Behavior - I booked this place after seeing it on Reels, where it looked great, but I didn’t check real reviews elsewhere and I definitely should have. The motel is clean and quiet, but the staff acted strangely and seemed to take photos during check-in and check-out without explaining why. Inside the room, there was an unsettling feeling of being watched...nothing obvious, just a vibe that made it hard to relax. Overall, it looks nice online, but the experience was uncomfortable, and I wouldn’t stay again.
