• Jacek (10/5): - Autentyczne miejsce z kanaryjską duszą, duże i wygodne łóżka, mnóstwo retro detali, klimatyczne podwórko z roślinnością, w pokoju również udogodnienia takie tak telewizor, czajnik, kieliszki do wina. Niczego nam nie brakowało. Bardzo dobre śniadania i miła obsługa.
• Lydia Martinez (9/5): - En general la habitación está muy bien salvo algunos arreglos que habría que hacer en el baño. La ubicación excelente, el servicio maravilloso, un desayuno fantástico. La habitación que me tocó a mí tenía algunos inconvenientes en el baño, por ejemplo la tapa del váter estaba suelta y era un peligro. El plato ducha no tenía mampara y cada vez que te bañabas el agua llegaba a todos lados del baño.

• José Javier (9/5): Hotel con encanto en Icod - Hotel céntrico en Icod que era lo que buscaba, y bien comunicado para visitar otros lugares. Tiene un encanto al ser una casa antigua, pero la habitación con todas las comodidades. Muy tranquilo por la noche y con desayuno incluido muy aceptable. Por la mañana temprano se oía gente en la calle hablando, y algún ruido de otros clientes al abrir y cerrar la puerta, pero no es ningún impedimento para que vuelva otra vez

• Kate (8/5): A beautiful characterful hotel with lovely staff - Beautiful old hotel with only 6 rooms, one of the nights it was just us, the staff welcome you and then let you have your stay in peace. It is an old building so it's a bit creaky but very charming and the historical area it is in is very very quiet at night, so even though the windows were old sash style it did not bother us at all. Except Festival de San Marcos night which was great fun to take part in. There's a lovely courtyard and area beyond it where you can sit and read. The breakfast, made mainly by Anna (the main staff member there in the mornings) was lovely and copious. A great start to the day for sight seeing. The beds were really comfortable, I thought they looked hard but then realised they're memory foam so they were super comfortable. We had one of the rooms without balcony, first floor, street side (room 5), but we did have a lovely second area with wardrobes before the bathroom that I think some of the others didn't. If needed there's a nice sitting room as well as the outside space. Depending on the Icod weather as it can be cloudy! We didn't use it though. Although check in was before 8pm, if you arrive later there is a number to call on the door and a gentleman kindly came and let us in and we checked in formally the next day (due to flight times). We had called ahead to say we'd be late. Icod is a great centre to base yourself in to then visit the surrounding area, Playa de la Cruz, Masca (our favourite), Garanchico or even go an hour to the more popular Costa Adeje for the day where it's warmer. We were happy we chose Icod and this hotel. Nothing relating to the hotel really, everything was great really. I even thought it would be noisy with the other customers because the building is quite old but we didn't hear anyone at night, it was great (our room did not adjoin any others on our floor). Parking is a bit tricky, when it says free parking available, it means street parking and the roads near the hotel are one way, also Google maps seems to have a bit of an issue with Icod so we took a while to find it, but once you get used to it it's all good! (our visit was end of April). Word of warning on the hotel name in Google maps - there are two Emblematico hotels in Icod! We accidentally went to the wrong one first.

• CORINNE (8/5): Rustique insolite mais original - Le charme de l ancien et un petit déjeuner très copieux Attention : demandez les chambres à l étage ou celle donnant sur le patio car celle au rez de chaussée donnant sur la rue est bruyante (il n y a pas pas de fenêtre,juste des volets très anciens !) Les draps et la chambre sont faits tous les jours Il faut attendre que l on vienne vous ouvrir Pas de réception 24/24 mais nous n avons pas trop attendu Et la salle de bains est rustique Se garer est compliqué dans cette rue très en pente : je recommande le parking de Mercadonia en bas de la rue à droite

• Neil (8/5): The breakfast is great, and so is the location. - It was a great location, very close to the centre of Icod, the museums and a few bars/restaurants. Parking in the locality was never a problem either. The hotel is perfectly comfortable but not amazing. There never seemed to be staff members around, except at breakfast (and check in, after a phone call). If you needed anything extra, ringing the bell at the front desk went unanswered. The wifi connection is pretty bad, very very slow to load anything - or maybe that was the TV itself!

• Jacques (9/5): Excellent séjour dans une maison typique - Hotel installé dans une maison canarienne d'époque avec de magnifiques boiseries, un patio superbe, des pièces aménagées à l'ancienne avec un décor 1850/1900 . A deux pas de la partie historique de la ville et du parc au dragonnier millénaire. Magnifique suite avec grande chambre, bureau et salle de bains . Très bon confort . Bon petit déjeuner Très bon confort (mais la douche est quand même un peu d'époque...) Pas de vue côté rue. Pas de parking (dans une toute petite rue : attention en été !!!). Pas de réception permanente mais bonne disponibilité du gérant qui se déplace dès le coup de téléphone.

Tiene pocas habitaciones, está bien decorado, con muchos detalles, mucha madera, un pequeño jardín interior muy bonito. La zona de desayuno es muy pequeña, pero acogedora. La persona que nos atendió fue muy amable y atenta. Nuestra habitación, la 1, no tenía ventanas que pudieran abrirse, es decir que eran como puertas_ventanas de madera sin cristal que daban directamente a la calle, a la acera, sin ningún intimidad. Esto es muy incómodo y te obliga a estar con luz eléctrica y todo cerrado, una lástima.

Salle de bains à rafraîchir. Mauvaise insonorisation. Pas de parking mais stationnement relativement facile dans la rue.
• Steffen (10/5): Liebevolle Villa, - Sehr schöne alte Villa, das ganze Haus ist mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Man fühlte sich in der Zeit zurückgesetzt, so macht Urlaub Spaß. Jeden Tag gab es neue Details zu entdecken. Vom großen Balkon aus konnten wir den Teide und das Meer sehen, auch war es nachts angenehm ruhig. Im kleinen, süßen Frühstücksraum wurde uns von der sehr netten Gastgeberin ein ausgezeichnetes Frühstück zubereitet. Viel spanische Wurst,Käse,Gemüse, Obst, Kuchen,Müsli, Jogurt, Marmelade,Guacemole,leckere Baguettes, frischer Orangensaft, es war einfach alles da. Sehr schöner Innenhof. Vielen Dank für alles! Parken war in der Umgebung möglich, Bananenmuseum, Drachenbaum, Restaurants...alles in der Nähe. Es ist halt ein altes Haus, für uns kein Problem.

• Begona (4/5): Gran decepcion pese al encanto del edificio - Buena localizacion y personal del desayuno muy amble Falta de limpieza, no hay personal nunca en recepción y habitaciones muy oscuras. Falta de en el baño ya que las paredes no llegan al techo. Desayuno todo de productos Mercadona, no hay nada casero ni el guacamole. No nos han cambiado las sabanas en 5 días. Haría falta una inversión para tener el sitio en condiciones

• Gill (5/5): The hotel was very disappointing - fewer antiques and more things that actually worked please! - The lounge and garden were lovely. The breakfast was good. Bedroom no 2 was dark and cold. It gave directly on to the street with no glass in the lower part of the window, only wooden shutters, hence every noise from the street felt like it was coming into the room. The toilet seat was broken, despite 3 requests to fix it. We found it impossible to have a shower without getting water all over the flour. There was no ceiling to the en suite so every sound carried through to the bedroom. The dining room was cramped and staff didn’t clear away used plates etc during the meal. The rooftop terrace wasn’t operating.

It wasn't really a hotel, might as well have been an air Bnb there was no one to check you in, you had to phone a number, this wasn't explained before we got there, there is no parking (just on street you have to search for a spot this wasn't explained ) we asked for a twin but got a double, our room was above the breakfast room so we were woken at about 7 when breakfast set up started.

• Annie (8/5): Agréable séjour de 2 nuits - Hôtel de charme au cœur du centre historique d'Icod. Situé au calme, c'est un emplacement idéal pour pour visiter les jolis villages aux alentours et randonner dans le parc du Teno. Superbe petit déjeuner et jolie vue sur la vallée. Nous occupions une chambre en RDC donnant sur rue. La chambre était sombre du fait des fenêtres canariennes en bois , vitrées uniquement en partie haute. La rue fort heureusement était calme le soir. Nous conseillons de demander une des chambres en étage plus lumineuses.
• Jean (8/5): Maison de village typique dans un village charmant - Maison de village typique avec beaucoup de charme. Le village a beaucoup de charme également. Nous somme arrivés le soir du 30 décembre, et entrer dans l'établissement a été long, il n'y avait pas de personnel sur place. Le petit déjeuner était copieux, et la dame de service très sympathique et serviable. Une bonne adresse.

Ontbijt lekker met ei naar keuze, vleeswaren L, kaas, verse jus d'orange en zoetigheden. De douche en wc zijn aan een update toe. Vieze voegen en een versleten wc bril. De glazen op de kamer werden nooit echt goed schoongemaakt. Alle stranden aan de noordkust waren dicht ivm sterke Stroming en golven.

• Anne (10/5): MERVEILLEUX ! - Cet hôtel est dans « son jus » avec ses meubles d’époque et son parquet ciré mais c’est ce que nous avons adoré. Enfin un hôtel pas standardisé, il a beaucoup de charme et de cachet. Personnel adorable. Petit déjeuner absolument succulent, varié, bref : FORMIDABLE ! Je recommande à 100% cette magnifique adresse.

• John (6/5): Not quite as expected…. - The breakfast and staff were excellent. The hotel is very old, more like a small museum. Maybe if there had been ‘front of house’ to guide and explain the various rooms and artefacts this may have worked. In actual fact, we were welcomed by a kind old man who had been sitting in his car outside who was also very keen to take payment. The hotel has been renamed, the sign outside reads ‘ San Marcos’. I think that it would be more appropriate to list as an ‘ aparthotel’, albeit with the excellent breakfast, reception was simply an unstaffed desk. Our junior suite was very dark with windows that could not be held open and a view of the street and municipal gymnasium opposite, whilst I appreciate that Booking.com descriptions are generic, we were disappointed that we did not have the mountain or garden view as described.

Nästa dag har vi frågat om att få annan rum och vi fick med fönster men det var ändå inte ljus på rummet. Balkon mit Blick und Nachmittagssonne Es gibt keine Heizung und wir hatten eine ungewöhnlich kalte Periode erwischt. Zimmer und Betten waren daher abends ungemütlich kalt.
• Doro (5/5): Zimmer Nr.1 vermeiden - Eine sehr freundliche Dame hat leckeres, umfangreiches Frühstück mit Wunsch-Ei und frisch gepresstem Orangensaft zubereitet. Der Obstkorb auf dem Zimmer war nett und die Dekoration und Ausstattung der Aufenthaltsbereiche ist wirklich sehenswert. Es gibt einen kostenfreien Parkplatz ganz in der Nähe als Alternative zu den wenigen hoteleigenen Parkplätzen an dieser wirklich sehr steilen Straße. Das Zimmer Nr.1 hat keine Fenster! Man kann lediglich den oberen Teil der Holztüren zur Straße hin öffnen. Das Raumklima im Zimmer und im angrenzenden Bad ist deshalb nicht angenehm.

• Thomas (7/5): 3 nights in December - Charming historic accommodation. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. Room #5 was big enough and a little bit dark. Had a nice balcony with a view to the sea. All in all charming, but do not expect 5 star hotel amenities. Sleeping room and bathroom are not fully separated (at least in room #5), so you hear everything happening in one or the other room. So only recommendable for couples or close friends.
• Michelle (9/5): Great hotel - Great little traditional Canarian hotel with antiques,hidden rooms and polished floors We arrived by bus early ,check in is 2pm but our room was ready and we were allowed an early check in which was great Our room had a great view and was really quiet There was a safe in the room,a kettle and small fridge Breakfast was traditional European with cheeses ,cooked meats and eggs.Cakes and breads too We only saw one staff member and she was helpful and efficient The hotel is situated in a quiet area but easy walking to the centre of town We found the room a little cool (it was December )and the room would have benefited from a heater Also I’m not keen on shower curtains

Breakfast lovely served by Anna who seemed to do everything!! Very pleasant would recommend to stay here value for money Bathroom room 6. Needs to be refurbished

• Hera (5/5): Geen fijn verblijf - Het ontbijt was goed en de locatie Wij hadden kamer 1 geen daglicht,er was een feest in het dorp tot 4uur snachts roetsen er eerst jeugd later zatte ouderen langs onze kamer op een plank naar benedenwe hebben geen oog dicht gedaan deze kamer moet niet verhuurd worden als er iets te doen is zeer gehorig ,verder was de douchekop defect draait alle kanten op en de wc bril defect maar die plaatsen ze smorgens weer terug zodat het lijkt dat er niks aan de hand is ,maar ik zag in recensies dat deze al heel lang kapot is ,bij aankomst is er niemand, je moet een nummer bellen en dan gaat de deur open, en bij het ontbijt staat iemand die alleen maar lacht daar kun geen klacht indienen, de andere kamers zagen er goed uit maar de kamer die wij hadden was verschrikkelijk

• veronique (1/5): Ça dépend des chambres attribuées - Belle demeure ancienne Chambre n 1 . En bas , juste à côté de l entrée. Juste une double porte en bois sans poignée pour entrer dans la chambre. Dans l obscurité, car ce ne sont pas des fenêtres qui donnent sur la rue mais deux portes en bois avec juste le haut comme des volets que l on peut entrouvrir . Chambre bruyante car donnant sur l entrée commune et bruyante car on entend les personnes au dessus ou dans la chambre en face. On devait rester 4 nuits , on est resté une nuit .

• Maureen (10/5): Typique - Il s’agit d’une demeure traditionnelle, parfaitement entretenue, avec un très joli petit patio. Nous avons eu la chance d’avoir une chambre qui donnait sur ce dernier. Je n’imagine même pas la vue des balcons de l’étage. En fait, la gentillesse et l’attention du personnel au petit déjeuner - attentive à nos envies et discrète. La remise des clefs en direct aurait été plus chaleureuse, c’est dommage pour un hôtel.

• Deborah (6/5): Nice hotel but please get check in information to guests. - Lovely old well restored small hotel Check in was terrible. Expedia gave incorrect information. We were left locked out at 3:00pm with no way to get into the hotel.
• Rob (7/5): Characterful and central - Central and full of old character. Like staying in a locals house. Nobody on site. Like a series of separate lodging rooms rather than a “hotel” but not an issue really, just an observation.
