Guest Reviews
Complicado hacerse entender.
Le falta mantenimiento al hotel.

- Tanya (7/5): Yes but - Good view of the sea, clean, air conditioning, friendly chambermaid, good location for enjoying Netanya , good breakfast. Helpful maintenance support
Hot water, comfortable, beds. Cramped room, nowhere to hang towels, not enough wardrobe space, rusty balcony chairs. Room shabby.

- Adham (10/5): -
- David (8/5): This was a return visit to the hotel and it was a very pleasant stay. - Very Good Location
- YOSEF RAMON COHEN (8/5): - Good hotel
- Sean (1/5): A scam, photos don't match the rooms. - Absolutely nothing. The photos do not match the room. We arrived at 11pm, saw our room, turned around and checked out. Went to a much better hotel, same price, larger, nicer room and great location and facilities. And the hotel would not reimburse us, they made us pay two days. And Booking.com did absolutely nothing either.
- Daniel (8/5): Very friendly staff. Very good location. Easy to walk to restaurants, shops & the beach. - excellent breakfasts & a great location
- Batsheva (4/5): - The stay was fine and the service is great!
But the room was a bit off
There was a burn hole in the bedding and there was a cockroach running around the room at night
Was unpleasant…
- Monique (9/5): We are repeated clients and we will go back. Great hotel great value! - Location, close to the elevator, and the beautiful balcony facing the sea
- Bernie (6/5): - This is third time we have stayed at the property. It is in poor repair. Things work but the aesthetics are terrible. The lobby is unpleasant, the number was missing from the room door, the bathroom sink was cracked, etc. But the suite was comfortable and clean.
- Shimon (8/5): Very good -
- Prosper (6/5): - I booked the best room that I saw in hotel. Com
But I’ve got very disappointed the shower was so small that I couldn’t clean myself comfortably.
Plenty of space lot of noises the air conditioners was louder. And so on.
- Vova (8/5): Very good -
- Price (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (9/5): Superb - Didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. Location was excellent. The shower wasn't working properly Shower
- David (10/5): - I liked it.
- Lily (8/5): - I like the view and the situation on the beach
For sure I back thank you
- Susan (5/5): adequate - location few amenities
- Vologzhanin (7/5): Good - Fantastic view! The hotel is decrepit
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Saati (7/5): Good location but needs a massive update. - I mean, if you consider the hotel prices in Israel, then this hotel is not a terrible deal. The location is great and any updated hotel in a similar location would probably cost you double. But you definitely get what you pay for... There's no question that this hotel needs a massive renovation. Rooms are built to standards that were probably OK 30 years ago. Room smelled weird too - the maid came and sprayed some freshner after we checked in, but that didn't help.
- Michael (8/5): - Staff was very helpful.
- Shimshon (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anonymous (1/5): Bad -
- Liudmila (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liudmila (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monique (8/5): We will go back - Location and room Not enough light in bathroom
- Bass (4/5): Disappointing -
- Lesley (4/5): Disappointing - The location is fantastic. So close to the elevator to the beach , and to the main square Everything is so old.
The bathrooms need renovating badly
The communal corridors need refurbishment.
- Binyamin (8/5): Very good - Good value for money Close to the beach
- Darshani (5/5): Passable - staff and cleaning and facility not happy
- Philippe (8/5): Établissement familial - Un très bon accueil.
- tatwein (2/5): one of the worst experience so far - shabby room which needs repair. Outlet was hanging on the wall, first time I have seen this in any hotel. Restaurant in basement -shabby. Food disgusting. Dishes not labeled in any languages. No English anywhere. If you have allergy, it's your problem. Food not appealing, actually looked disgusting.
Housekeeping maid has been advertising her sex service by leaving a small naked girl toy on the night table. Is it a brothel?
The only one positive thing was that lift to the beach is really close.
Stayed there April 3-April 7 of 2022
- Tatiyana (2/5): - A run down hotel which needs major repairs. 2 stars .. No safety measures with outlets not attached properly to the wall. False advertisement: no beach equipment, shabby restaurant in basement in another building (????). Food disgusting, not appealing.. Not labeled dishes: what it is, what is made of. If you have allergy , its your problem ... Nothing in English. Housekeeping maid has been advertised herself for sex by leaving a small naked toy girl on night table. Is it a brothel? One thing which actually was true that is located close to beach lift, that's it. Nothing else was good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Recommend it! - Perfect view, near to the shops snd restaurants, good price for value!
- yona (4/5): - An old-fashioned hotel is falling apart with a great location
- gavriel (2/5): Horrible - My wife and I went to celebrate a year of marriage. The hotel is really not 5 stars, it is barely 2, an old hotel with a very bad smell, everything is broken there, water is dripping on the terrace, the food at breakfast is poor. Do not go there !!!
- Leah (10/5): Great Hotel - The stay at the hotel was great. Good price, quality of service, pleasant staff, abundant and rich breakfast. Located in the center of the maritime and a few steps from the beach. Really very good value for money.
- Simon (8/5): Nice stay - The beach residance hotel is unmaned checkin & reception is next door in the residance hotel having said that its no problem. Rooms are clean & comfortable good daily housekeeping safe & secure. Hotel is close to town center & easy access to beach.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice hotel close to the beach and town centre
- soniadsonia (10/5): Return stay. - This was our family's third time at Residence Beach/once at sister hotel Residence. Once again it didn't disappoint. Rooms are a good size and kept clean, with plenty of fresh towels and kitchen area is adequate for holiday needs. Dining rooms have a good food selection. Hotel staff are generally friendly and helpful. The hotel has great balcony views of the coastline and it's beautiful sandy beaches and crystal clear sea, with a beach lift next to hotel. Free beach towels, sun loungers, beach chairs and sun umbrellas are available every day other than Shabbat. Some of Netanya's pedestrianised area with restaurants, shops, etc is within a ten minute flat stroll away, which is great for those with walking difficulties or wheelchair users. This is a great place to return to and centrally placed for travelling around Israel. Hopefully see you next year Residence Beach.
- davidfD6214LJ (6/5): Not bad, not great - First the good news: The hotel location is great, right on the cliffs above the sea.
Bad news: Old renovated hotel that needs further renovation and no real parking.
The check in was in building A next to building B, where our room was. So we parked illegally for 10 minutes while I checked in and then I looked for municipal parking as close to the hotel I could find. The clerk (who was very nice and professional, named "Svetlana"), said that the parking was full and we could park for "free" anywhere along the hotel road. It was hot and this was a royal pain in the rear but I did eventually find parking.
I usually have two scales for comparison with Israeli hotels: One is an international standard for quality and price and then the Israeli scale.
The bottom line is value for money.
Israeli hotels are over priced across the board so if I judge this hotel by Israeli standards it was "reasonable yet expensive" and it passes the test yet with a feeling that you may have paid more than you should have for this property. By the Israeli scale it gets a 3 star rating.
On an international scale this hotel was "OK" but overpriced and it gets a 2 star rating with a 3.8 star price, that is, over priced.
Again, the main thing going for this hotel is location. There is also an elevator outside on the promenade that takes you down to the beach front and this was fantastic.
The room was clean, the facilities aged. We got a "suite" so it was quite roomy. I also asked for a corner room with a balcony as high up as possible and got the corner but not the height. Still it was fine. The sea breeze was fantastic but throughout the night there were roving bands of kids making noise. I could have closed the windows and turned on the A/C but I choose the sea breeze over complete quiet.
Breakfast was just fine and there was an assortment of dishes to choose from.
Overall, this place just passes due to it's location but I probably will not return to it again. If it would have cost ~120-140 USD then it would have been much better but at 170 USD it is too much.
- 487robertaw (8/5): An excellent choice for a small hotel on the beach - The Residence Beach exceeded my expectations based on reviews I read. Check in was efficient and pleasant. Note to foreign travelers, save that little blue slip you get at passport control because you’ll need it with your passport at check in to save on the Israeli Tax, for which you get a refund when you leave the country (it’s 16 or 17%). I traveled with a female friend and we had them quickly separate the beds with a nightstand between them. Our balcony overlooked the sea and was a delight, especially watching the sunset. The reviews were not positive about breakfast, we were there on Shabbat when food service is necessarily curtailed everywhere, and I was very pleased with the variety of the breakfast, it was more than ample. We opted for lunch on Shabbat and were told we could arrive at 2:30 and stay until 3, even though the information states that lunch ends at 2:00. We arrived at 2:15 to find the food almost gone and the wait staff reluctant to serve us, although more food was eventually brought out for us, and several others were also given the later arrival time and came after us. There was some miscommunication there, best to stick to the written time. Their sister hotel, the Galil, has the pool, they say a 15 minute walk, more like a half hour, but a pleasant stroll along the paved promenade along the sea. The Galil is definitely a family hotel and while the pool was nice it was heavily used and full of families with small children. As a committed lap swimmer I managed swimming the width of the pool in the deep end and got my exercise that way. A plus for the hotel was a small kitchenette behind doors at the entrance to the room, with a good sized refrigerator, a sink, a kettle and 2 electric burners, along with utensils.
There were two things that prevented 5 stars, the water in the shower initially ran brown, and then ran dirty, that should have been checked by management or housekeeping. And on Shabbat we used the stairs since we were on a low floor and the Shabbat elevators everywhere are very slow. Once the exit into the lobby was blocked by a large and heavy table top that was hard for me to move out of the way.
We enjoyed being at the beach and having right next to the hotel what they call the beach elevator as an option to the stairs down to the beach. No hotel was right on the water, all are elevated above the sea and along the promenade or away from the sea. I would definitely go there again.
- richard (8/5): - good location and very good breakfast free parking near the elevator for the beach
- gordonG4092GS (10/5): Trip Netanya - What a fantastic place to visit ,great hotel ,customer service first class , the stadlff at beach residence could not do any more ,they made the stay complete forums ,thanks , we will return again in the future
- Travel669826 (10/5): Great time spent in Israel - Very nice hotel, all the rooms have marvelous sea view, with small kitchen that contains all necessary items for cooking. Hotel has ideal location - close to center, in front of beach elevator and at the same time in the quite place. The breakfast was good and staff was excellent (personal thanks to Svetlana on reception who is very attentive)
- soniadsonia (8/5): Returned for a 3rd time! - This 3rd stay for our family at Residence Beach, as previously, did not disappoint. Staff were all very courteous, friendly and very helpful, in particular Duke and the Reception Staff. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped. Housekeeping was of a good standard, with plenty of fresh towels, etc, when needed. We also enjoyed having a choice of dining for breakfast, with either a good choice set menu at Residence Beach, or buffet style breakfast with plenty of choice next door at their adjoining Residence Hotel. The hotel is beautifully appointed, with our rooms overlooking gardens and the sea. The hotel is right opposite a lift down to the beach and it's great that the hotel supplies free clean beach towels to it's guests every day. It's helpful to have a small supermarket nearby and it's only a short walk to a pedestrianised area in Netanya, with a good choice of restaurants and shops. We find the hotel is also particularly well placed for those who have walking difficulties. There is a free, but small, street level parking area for guests, although when busy, it can be difficult to manouver a car in and out. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here this year, as did a friend who we brought with us. Our only disappointment this year was that the hotel no longer had free sun beds/chairs/umbrellas for its guests in an area of the beach and so we had to hire from the beach concession. Perhaps Residence Beach could negotiate a discount for its guests? OVERALL GREAT STAY..... and hopefully see you again next year!
- 319shelleye (10/5): Good enough for a return visit - don't look any further in Netanya - We were in the area for a wedding and wanted a hotel close by to Mishmar Hasharon. Our first encounter as we entered the lobby was to be "greeted" at the reception desk by a woman who has probably never smiled in her life. Not exactly the place to put an employee who is the face of your hotel. But her bitter attitude is her problem and we wouldn't let her unfriendliness mar our stay. This hotel is right on the beach and we had a 6th floor corner room with a lovely balcony overlooking the Mediterranean. Absolutely breathtaking view and perfect weather. Although we have stayed in more elegant rooms, we were most pleased with the price and the overall amenities. Food was delicious at lunch and breakfast out on the terrace overlooking the sea. A little jewel waiting to be discovered!
- Stolearm (6/5): Good location - This is a very average hotel with rooms that needed a good upgrading long time ago. The reception area is tiny, and there are not enough receptionists to help you when you book in or out of this hotel. The restaurant based in the basement, clean and well serviced, but the food is very average. The best thing about this hotel is its location, which is only a minute walk from a lift that takes you to one of the best beaches in Israel. It is also just a few minutes walk from the center of town where you can find good cafes, restaurants, and shops. In my view, this hotel is a bit overpriced for what it has to offer.
- adamazulay55555 (10/5): Very good we enjoyed our staying - The hotel is in a very good location next to the beach and the Kikar. very clean and has a nice crew. We stay in a suite with 3 children and it was big with kitchen and in the morning we had breakfast in the hotel restaurant with beach view very nice
- GilB185 (10/5): for this price the best deal . - at the front desk nick was very helpful and polite.
at the breakfast in both location the service was generous and with a smile.
the room was clean, white lennin and amazing view to the beach,
recommended warmly.
- eligueta2017 (10/5): Great location - comfortable Rooms - Best Breakfast Ever - The hotel is located right on top of the one of the best beaches in the country, the rooms are nice and comfortable with amazing Sea view. The breakfast is outstanding!! There is free parking but space is limited and sometimes a challenge. There are 2 elevators which is a great feature that helps guests.
- 438bernief (8/5): Basic but very nice - My wife and I stayed this week. It is as advertised. It is one of a group of three hotels owned by the same group. This one is next door to the second; the third is a 20 to 30 minute walk.
The room we had was on the terrace level. It was adequate and well equipped with a fridge and microwave. The room owned to a private deck overlooking the beach. It was beautiful and it is this deck that makes the room very special.
The hotel provides chairs and umbrellas that are located on the beach. So, you get a towel from the lobby and walk down to the beach and pick a place to sit and enjoy.
There is no pool at the hotel. Guests are welcome the use the pool at the third hotel located at the Galil. This is the third hotel note above and it's a hike to get there. But the pool is nice and we enjoyed it.
The hotel provides breakfast. There are two options. Guests can take breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel or take breakfast at the buffet in the hotel next door. We opted for the buffet. It is not as elaborate as those provided by some others. But is it is really fine and more that adequate.
Service was fine and staff was helpful. Most patrons were French and Eastern European. We did not run into many other Americans but we felt comfortable and well treated.
- valpal5 (10/5): Clean, convenient and beautiful. - Our suite in the Residence Beach was beautiful. It was quiet and had a balcony overlooking the sea.
We really enjoyed our 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.
- 120Mina (10/5): It's all about the location - The Hotel is pretty plain. The room we had was somewhat renovated but very basic. The cleanness is average and so was the food. Nothing major.
But the location is excellent: Right in fount of the sea. The view from room balcony was magnificent.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Relaxing setting! - We had a relaxing one-night stay in a room with a beach-front view. The room was renovated and very nice, very clean, and comfortable. The lobby of our building had no personnel at all, was not for sitting, and the check-in was in the building next door. The location in Netanya is excellent, close to the center promenade. The meals were in the building next door, and breakfast was sufficient, not fancy, but fine. Shabbat (Friday night) dinner was low quality, very crowded, and food (meat) ran out, an hour before the end of the dinner hour. The dining room was clean, there was enough service, but next time would look for a different location for dinner.
- CherylL718 (8/5): Realxing weekend stay - We stayed for one night in the Residence Beach, and were pleased with our room and the view. The room was recently renovated and comfortable for one night. The refrigerator, microwave and kettle are in a closet, and can be hidden from view. The view was right on the sea and there was a comfortable terrace to sit and enjoy the waves and sunset. Shower was large enough for two, with towels that were mediocre. The check-in is in the building next door, and we never saw anyone in the lobby of our building. The disappointing part was the restaurant next door, which served our building as well. The food for dinner was dismal, poor service, they ran out of meat, and the only when we voiced a complaint, then the maitre-d came over a few times to tell us they would have more coming and was very solicitous, asking if we needed anything. The dinner was an extra fee, so while we would book here again for the room, we would go elsewhere for dinner. There are many hotels in the area that one can book for Shabbat dinner. Breakfast, which is included, was reasonable, and there was enough food. Otherwise, it was very nice!
- friartuck4321 (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay - We stayed for two weeks in an apartment, it was clean, lots of space, plenty of cupboards. The staff were very friendly and most helpful especially the manager Mr Duke. The buffet restaurant offered a wide range of food and we were more than satisfied.
We also ate in the Beach restaurant, service and the food were first class and good value.
We will most definitely stay there again on our next visit to Israel.
- Sfmrk (10/5): Home away from home! - We stayed at the Residence Beach Hotel for 17 days. Firstly, I must commend the wonderful staff of both the hotel and the Davina Restaurant. We were always met with a smile and every request was met immediately and to our great satisfaction. Mr Duke, the manager was amazing! Thanks to all for a very special stay.
Our suite was very comfortable with a beautiful view of the sea. We had a great electric bed and we slept very well each and every night. The accommodations are simple but very adequate with a fully stocked kitchenette. We felt like we were in our own apt.
The hotel is a very short walk to the beach elevator and a short walk to the plazas. What a great location near cafes both on the beach and on the plazas. And just a step outside the hotel is the promenade!
We definitely recommend the Residence Beach Hotel and we will return next time we stay in Netanya!
- adeges (6/5): Dirty, noisy, paternalistic staff attitude, sea views - My wife and myself stayed at this hotel in the mid December for 3 days. The property seems to be a converted apartment hotel with build-in kitchenettes now made unavailable to guests.
Well, Russians seem to be managing the hotel, with respective paternalistic attitude towards - at least - Russian-speaking guests, talking way above what asked for and volunteering useless advice nobody needed.
Hotel has been really dirty, both in corridors and in the room with clearly dated furniture with stains I didn't dare to put any cloths on, let alone to sit in. I have never seen anything like that in what calls itself a professional accommodation, even in motels. That's not a 3 star plus or even 3 star establishment as advertised. Non-existent sound proofing. We liked quietness of the first night a lot b/c just few guests stayed at the hotel and nobody occupies neighboring rooms. However, we reevaluated the situation on Friday night when the hotel was pretty much packed with companies of loud guests. Really bad wifi reception.
The dirt and noise on the last night was partially made up for by great beach/Mediterranean views from the balcony.
Breakfast was acceptable, no more than that. Fixed price buffet dinner at a terrace restaurant was great (please note that a fixed price buffet dinner is normally offered in the basement of the building with a reception - where breakfast is served - which might be a completely different experience).
On the last day we were leaving at 6:15 am and was told that a basic continental breakfast was served in the hotel at 6 am. 5 minutes to 6 am, the receptionist told me: no waitress showed up (on Saturday) and he cannot really help. However, upon my insistence a manager showed up a couple of minutes later who opened a dining room and rolled out all the morning treats, we didn't really have time to eat as a result.
Given choice, I would not stay there again.
- DeborahCh (8/5): Good value for money - This was our second stay here and I can only recommend it if you love the beach. No location could be better and you need no swimming pool, when you have the sea 50 meters away. For those, who keep Shabbat: The lift to the beach can be used on Shabbat!
Room was great, friendly staff, OK food
- shirley (8/5): Nice hotel wonderful views and rooms clean - The best thing this hotel has is a chap called duke on front desk most helpful and cheerful, although we were the only English,as it is well known in France and should be in the u.k.
