- mike (6/5): - great place and price cheap ubers to local resterants in bucerius no pool loungers no glasss or face cloths in room stayed 9 days and would stay again
- Sharon Julia (4/5): - No mini fridge, no phones, no safe. Not near any shopping and e erywhere u went, u had to get a taxi. The resort was older and the swipe cards had to b reactivated at least 3 times a day. 1-2 days but no more for this resort
- Maria del Carmen (2/5): - Really bad customer service, the lock to my door was not working property. The elevator panel was broken. There is no sign on the main road so it's hard to find.
- Chrisopher Robert (6/5): - Room was very basic. No plugs beside the bed, so the bedside lamps were just for decoration; not operational. Light by the door did not turn off all night. Room was bare, no art or colour. Pool was cold. Breakfast was very limited and not very good.
- Marie (8/5): - no restaurants close. no ice machine in hotel
- Helgi (8/5): Awsome Hotel !! - A great stay for 17 nights and would recommend this place to all !! Super great staff by the way !!
- Phillip (8/5): - .
- Bernice (6/5): - My bad, didn't realize that only a Mexican style breakfast was served, then the restaurant closed for the day. No ice machine.
- Jason (8/5): - Happy Birthday Sis. We got here with no trouble and the weather is good. Little cooler than last year, 23-28. Zaq and Saraarrived yesterday afternoon. On the bus today for about 3 hours to get to Barra de Navidad.
- Jerzy (10/5): - The hotel is very pleasant. Not too big, quiet and very clean, which was very important to me. The breakfast were good, the service was nice, and the area with the swimming pool was very well kept. I am very pleased with my stay. The hotel is worth recommending to others.
- francisco (8/5): - limpieza en camas y toallas muy limpias y regular el cuarto por donde veias .....mucho polvo por esos lugares y consecuentemente sucio o polvosas algunas mesas en comedor ....amables todo el personal con quien interactue.
- Liane Karyn (6/5): - Loved the pool and morning breakfasts. Cockroaches in room.
- Jaime (6/5): - Property is driving distance to the town of Bucerías. We rented a vehicle, so we were able to move around with no problem. The hotel had what we needed A/C, good bed and good bathroom. Very clean facilities. The breakfast was just okay. Coffee was not good at all.
This was a spur of the moment trip and this hotel fit our budget.
- Pamela S (6/5): - The wifi did not work properly in the rooms.
And no place to eat dinner close by. Only a restaurant thats a 15 minutes walk.
- Liliana (6/5): - The pool was the best part. Not much privacy in the rooms. They only offered one key making it difficult for family sharing the room.
- Matthew (10/5): - Very nice hotel. Especially for the price.
Kind of out on its own, kind of in a commercial area. But quick uber ride to bucerias.
- MARK (8/5): - IT WAS A NICE COUNTY MOTEL, WITH A Very Nice Breakfast & Genuine Frendly Staff!! OVERALL A GOOD Experience!!! 👍👍
- MARVIN (6/5): - The bathroom needs sone upkeep. The good thing is the people who work there. RAMON, Rosita were friendly to me
- Aldo Alvarez del (8/5): - Nice small hotel in accordance to pricing
- Reymundo (8/5): Detalle - El Hotel muy bien, desgraciadamente había algunos trabajadores que estaban hospedados y son bien ruidosos.
- Kingsley (2/5): - Breakfast was good but they need to change it up a bit. Staff was friendly but they didn’t seem to care if you were happy or not. Our friends had to change rooms due to moldy surfaces and poor drainage in the bathroom, their room was very humid and their bed felt wet to sleep at night. Location is hidden behind two car dealerships and is not close to the beach. The pool water was cold and they closed it early everyday at 9pm. Another unusual thing was that they only gave us one hotel key during our stay and everyday we had to bring it in to reception for it to work again… it was something to do with security reasons. My family will never be staying at this hotel again, the pictures are nice but very deceiving. One of the nights we came back to the room and there were blood stains on the sheets of the bed. If you are a cleaner there how do you let that slide? Also we had to ask for clean towels two of the nine nights we stayed there. If you are going to Puerto Vallarta for a vacation this is NOT the destination to stay at. Pay the extra money for a better location next to the beach, you will save money in the long run.
- Shabbir (4/5): - Hotel was dated. There was a lizard in my room
- Benjamin (10/5): - Safe
- Alberto (10/5): - Such an amazing hotel with stunning view of the beach
- Alanson (2/5): - I left right after checking in. Rooms not as advertised on website, staff were unhelpful.
- Maria E (10/5): - Las personas de recepción fueron fantásticas, en verdad que nos hicieron sentir en familia.
- Melanie (6/5): - We loved the fact that you didn’t not have to fight for the pool, there could be more chairs instead of 2. Would be great if hotel brought in lounger chairs and offered an outdoor dining area I feel that area would be utilized more. Also if they had a grill or something for people to be able to use, we went fishing and had no where to cook our fish!
There is a large area that is covered beside the pool and is not utilized at all there could be a dining area there.
The breakfast was very good if there was more seating in the dining area, there was a choice of 2 different meats, eggs and fresh fruit and yogurt.
The rooms were cleaned everyday and the staff always had a smile on their face and were all very friendly.
There are no restaurants around so make sure you eat before you return back to the hotel. The La Cormer is a few blocks down the road and is very fresh and has a lot to offer for produce. There also is no fridges in the rooms so don’t purchase anything that requires refrigeration. There is a small vending machine but it offers out dated chips.
Most taxi operators we had did not know where the hotel was so make sure you have it pinned on your maps for the operators.
This hotel is a great price just needs a few more upgrades and offer a little more.
- Paul (6/5): Typical Mexican hotel with a great pool and beds. - The pool was great, the room is small and clean with no drawers to put anything. The bed was very comfortably. Only get one key and it lost its vom everday, so if we came back at night had to get housekeeper to let us in and then have key programmed again each morning. Breakfast was probably great for the locals, but after three days we stopped taking the included breakfast. The price was right for a short stay.
- Isaac (10/5): Todo bien excepto el desayuno - El servicio de desayuno, fue como si estuvieras en la carcel muy mal servicio poca comida
- Mikhail (6/5): - Bedding wasn’t premium, there is no hair dryer in the hotel, there is no phone in room, there are lamps not connected to sockets bc there are too far, cord of one lamp flashed after trying to connect it, no sunbeds, staff is friendly but barely knows English, breakfast menu is narrow, better to eat somewhere else, but there is no place nearby. In the single room there is no bathtub, just shower, where you have to wait few minutes so warm water could run. To stay for the few nights this hotel is okay.
- Christopher (10/5): - The staff here are amazing. Mariana is a gem. I will be back.
- Gabriel (2/5): - Las imágenes no correspondían con las instalaciones.
- Maria (6/5): - Nothing unique
- Chris (10/5): Great price and amazing hospitality - I’ll be back. 98% happy with everything. I think the elevator hated me though. It wouldn’t work 2 of the 4 times so I stuck to the stairs after the 2 scares of being stuck inside of it.
- Salvador (2/5): - Lleno de cucarachas y muy sucio.
- Betty (10/5): - No me dijeron que la alberga estaba en remodelación
- Juan antonio (6/5): No muy limpia - Les falta calidad en la limpieza de las habitaciones,
- Linda (6/5): - I was under the impression this hotel had a restaurant and swimming pool. Neither were available at the sight. We did have an excellent free breakfast.
- Rosaura (4/5): - Food very poor no breads no tortillas only eggs and beans every day
- Iblya (2/5): - Internet not working I. Your room at all,,,,
- Douglas (8/5): - Stayed a week and enjoyed hotel and pool , 10 min taxi ride everywhere , no restaurant or bar on grounds
- Darryl (10/5): - Clean and friendly, I would stay there again. Need to gain a little more Spanish, but got by with google translate.
- Dawn (8/5): - This property is good for a budget hotel. Breakfast was very good every day. The pool needs a new liner, the outdoor bathroom sink is full of dust/dirt. The rooms are sparse but ok. No dtesser, no headboards, only hanging space in the bathroom, so you’re living out of a suitcase. The shower tacks are not clean. But…if you’re ok going in knowing these things you’ll be ok. You need to Uber/Taxi everywhere from here.
- Pablo (10/5): - the workers were very helpful and nice, beds were clean and showers were the best
- Kristi (4/5): - No refrigerator in room. No ice on property. Pool was very small. Staff was not very friendly.
- Tanya (4/5): - Clean rooms. Breakfast only, major construction did not make for a pleasant environment or atmosphere, was never mentioned in the booking, nor discount offered. Checked out a day earlier than expected as did not like the hotel and lack of things to do.
- Gillian (10/5): - This hotel is a little of the beaten path, but truly lovely. The staff were all so gracious and welcoming even as we stumbled through our basic spanish. Breakfast was excellent. The rooms were clean and well air conditioned, with soaps and shampoos provided. Definitly an easy way to start a trip in mexico!
- Dilery (10/5): - All was great, it is very clean.
- Pamela (2/5): - Ni siquiera nos recibieron ni por la reservación
- Clara (10/5): - We like it. Room is spacious but the shower needs a little repair. The employees are nice and courteous.
- Victor (8/5): - Affordable rates, but close to industrial areas and 2 car dealerships.
- maria (8/5): - Muy amable el personal
- Shaye (8/5): - Clean hotel with friendly staff. It was difficult to find a place to eat, as there is nothing walking distance for food or snacks.
- Jaime (8/5): - It was a pleasant stay. Breakfast was served but service a little too slow. Coffee was out.
- Maria (10/5): - Me gusto mucho,es un hotel callado pero el personal te invita a regrsar la persona que cosina extremadamente amigable y buen savor limpio buen servicio en todo el hotel. SI REGRESARIA
- Paul (10/5): - Great place. It helps to speak maybe 100 words of Spanish. Great staff and always helpful. Probably not for the party crowd. We used taxis or Uber. Always convenient to go to Puerto Vallarta or Bucerias. Bucerias is a $5 ride. No lunch or dinner service. No microwave or fridge. For a nice place at a great price can't be better.
- Ani (10/5): - Bathroom walls and floor, were the only place dirty that I didn't like. Had to shower with sandal because of the title had stain. Beside that.. really good place to come back.
- Alejandro (8/5): - included breakfast could be better
- Lilian Maria (6/5): Just ok - I had stayed in this hotel a few years ago and I was impressed by its cleanliness, unfortunately bad repairs and old rooms did not make my stay enjoyable. Also the front desk girl was not very pleasant and I virtually had to beg for ice. Also they offered a free breakfast, but I passed. There were five tables pushed almost together, I guess they haven’t heard of Covid, and a huge line.
I was ok for one night, but I wouldn’t stay longer.
- Humberto (8/5): - Great and confort place
- Humberto (8/5): - Great and clean hotel
With good full Breakfast included
Service was great and smiling
- 291genej (6/5): Good hotel for all basic necessities with friendly staff.. - After picking up our rental car at hectic PVR Airport, my wife and I drove 9 km northwest on congested Rt 200 to the large Walmart, then 4 km farther to this airy roadside hotel (sited behind the FLOSOL RIVIERA Chevrolet dealership), arriving after 4 PM.
A guard took our temperatures before the slow check in with identification, payment verification, signing a no smoking clause, completing a health report and choosing between optional rooms. Their large lone elevator took us to our 2nd floor King #223, all tile with wrought iron furniture and granite tops. Small TV with 25 Spanish channels (plastic covered remote and AC control), switched overhead fan and a cold water bathroom with soap, shampoo/conditioner and 2 nice large bath towels. A shuttered window overlooked a garden that included a nice pool that had closed at 4 PM. Their secure WIFI was excellent.
The 7 AM hot breakfast served in the lobby restaurant included fruit plate then scrambled eggs (cheese, tomatoes) with re fried beans and chiliquiles + coffee.
After 2 flights and tomorrow’s drive to Guadalajara, we needed this no frills 60 room 4 story hotel for basic rest, and it was ideal for paying $52 PrePay.
- Jody (10/5): - I liked that it was comfortable and clean, we have stayed here before, it’s our place to stay the night the day before we fly back to the USA, for the fact it’s only 15 minutes more or less to the airport.
- Alejandro (4/5): - The room had mould on the ceiling. The building was tired & run down. We had to walk to the OXXO for ice. Although the hotel advertises casual dining there is no restaurant, but they offered a reasonable breakfast from $80-130 which we declined. We would not recommend this hotel for the $ paid. Go somewhere else!
- jameswD5420LQ (8/5): Reasonable and decent - This Hotel is conveniently located between Mezcales and Bucerias - right off the highway (200). It is behind the Chevrolet dealership. Nicely kept grounds. The rooms need a little help - but are spacious - both the sleeping area and the bathroom. Towels were a bit rough and we got a couple that we torn. Nice pool. Although there were a few minuses - the cost was very good.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Area sucked not what I expected
I dont speak the language my bad
Staff dont speak english there bad
- Lori (6/5): - Lobby area was A high open sided thatched roof. Would have to taxi everywhere as it’s only neighbours were 2 car dealerships.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - in the room very dirty mirror room, the brush had not been passed, 90% of the workers in this hotel are workers. expensive lunch for little and not well installed. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Serene, spacious hotel with refreshing pool, away from the tourist hub bub. A short ride into Buceria. Nice, full Mexican breakfast. Simple essentials with an elegance.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I didn’t like that the hotel sign was a huge blue “HOTEL” sign. I didn’t even notice the name of the hotel. The words Las Palomas was so small. I ended up passing it a couple of times.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Un hotel bastante aceptable con precios accesibles, cuenta con lo necesario.
- Robert (8/5): Fine for short stay - Basic stay for overnight.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excelente lugar las personas muy amables y cordiales nada q ver con usa
- Deane (10/5): - Lovely, quiet. Great pool, friendly staff.
Minor problems: no washcloths or hand towels, only one large towel for each person. Only one glass for the room.
Biggest disappointment: no restaurant in or near property .
- Cecil (10/5): - amazing staff super helpful and courteous and very very clean and quiet wish they had safe in room only complaint
- Mireya (2/5): - It was too hard for them to change us our bedroom to a double that we had to get another room which was a double and over charhed us at the end we end up changing hotels
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great little place to stop for the night....staff has limited English but we had no problems.
Petra who works at the restaurant was exceptional and went out of her way to help us.
- Christian (10/5): - The staff was very friendly; there were always with a big smile in their face. Rooms were very clean. Overall, it was a great a place to vacation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It’s where the Mexican police stay, so you know your safe
- Dreamer742406 (6/5): Too far removed (a taxi ride) from anything. - I requested two rooms and wound up with one room with a bed and a couch. The place is pretty well built but not well run - yet. And nothing is built around it, yet. No room service, no bar. A bare-bones kitchen for buffets mostly. Maybe in a year or two - ?
- 371stacied (10/5): Great authentic Mexican food - I had the variety of fajitas and chocolate mousse with pistachio ice cream and they were both very delicious! The homemade gucamole served with their colorful tortilla chips was the best gucamole I have tasted! The staff made our birthday celebrations extra special by providing sombreros and little cake plates and birthday songs for our birthday girls! Highly recommended!
- Barbara (10/5): - Great value for a quick overnight, convenient location off the main highway but set back off the road so no noise. very pleasant landscape grounds, staff very kind.
- Carrol (2/5): Do not stay here! - Old hotel behind a car dealership.
Far from amenities. No bar. No dining room. Not even a vending machine! There was a buffet breakfast with coffee in the morning for $120MX.
Desk clerk did not acknowledge us for 10 minutes while she talked on phone to family
- SILVIA (8/5): Simple hotel with great service - Choose upper floor rooms. Lower floors are very musty. Big rooms, simple accommodations. Good bed and shower. Great service. Good food.
- Ginny (8/5): Quiet and comfortable nice layout - Enjoyed the breakfast buffet, disappointed no evening buffet, Felt safe alone, Very helpful management with directions, Would have liked more surrounding development for walking and dining close by,
Enjoyed pool area, Good for a few days of quiet time: seems to be a popular business travellers stop,
- Beth (10/5): Great value in Nuevo Vallarta - Hotel las Palomas was a pleasant surprise. A great value for the cost! Rooms were clean and well appointed, bedding soft and comfortable, facilities well maintained. The lobby, dining area and pool were beautiful. The breakfast buffet is indeed Mexican food, as another reviewer noted, but we ARE in Mexico. I enjoyed a plate of chilaquiles, fruit, and fried plantains, which was delicious. The staff were professional and helpful. It was very convenient, with a bus stop just down the road. I would recommend this hotel without reservation.
- sykseulb (8/5): very good for the price - just needed one night .... this was perfect for that ..clean, comfortable bed, towels, shampoo and soap... the picture on this site that looks like a lobby is also the restaraunt ... food was ok...isolated, so a bit of a walk to the oxxo to get a few beers but not too far .. good spot if you have a car ... pool in the back, nice pictures and sculptered wall hangings on the walls ... good price ($50 CAD) found out that it is cheaper to book online rather than walk in
- Frequented PVR (4/5): You get what you pay for - Pros: room was clean, bed too. Room had AC. Cheap stay.
Cons: you hear everything. Thin walls. There’s these iron chairs in the rooms and you hear customers dragging them across the floor. It’s so skreachy and loud. not a lot around the hotel and it’s on the Main Street. Room are completely minimal. No fridge. No smoke detectors. No Wash clothes. The bugs were horrible. The jungle is right there. The shower leaked all over the floor no mater where I pointed the head. I had no floor mats or rugs. The floor was crazy slippery. Mold. flood-light outside on the ground pointed right into my window. Was on all night. The front desk employees don’t speak much English. light bulbs were burned out. I told them day one. Wasn’t fixed the entire stay. Pool was cold. Have to put door key in wall for room power.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ntt
One night in nuevo vallarta - On the hwy but behind a car dealership so no noise at all from the road. Clean pool, nice yard. Had a light meal at the restaurant here and as good as anywhere. Looking forward to breakfast. Limited English spoken here but we managed. We needed a room for 1 night and this fit the bill perfectly. Staying in the area for 1 or 2 nights, then I can recommend this place. As I mentioned earlier, on the hwy so not close to the beach, perfect if you have a car.
- beachslug1 (4/5): Looks good but bring the earplugs - The hotel was clean, and comfortable. However, the hallways act like an echo chamber so anyone talking comes out very loud. The floors are tile, and if the people above you choose to move furniture all night, you will hear it. The walls are very very thin. We hardly slept a wink. When the morning workers came to clean the rooms (at 6 a.m.!!) they talked and laughed loudly in the echo-chamber halls.
- rhonda (4/5): Just a old place. - Glad it was just a one night stay. Very old and no one speaks English so hard to communicate.
- Petter (2/5): don't care about your reservacion - when I arrived to the hotel I ask for my reservacion and the staff told me that I didn't have one so after I made call after 5 hours they found my reservation . it was no a good experience at all.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Gringo stay - Good value for cost. Elevator was not working so stairs were only option for upper floors - not good for older travelers or those with bad knees.
- Gye Parra (4/5): just for the night - one of the employes opened my rooom's door without knocking, almost caugh me dressing, remember to place the chain lock
- Guido (6/5): Nice affordable hotel - Overall my experience was good, if you are looking for an affordable hotel, not necessarily close to the beach, this is a good option, it is clean, a nice pool, there is a forest area behind the hotel, so expect a lot of mosquitos.
