- Dan (8/5): Old but okay - Older hotel but everything works.
Difficult to adjust the warm water. Sometimes very hot or a bit cold. But it works.
Breakfast a bit limited but ok.
Aircon old but worked well.
Easy to access from main road by car. Not so much within the immediate walking distance.
(8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (1/5): Scam of a hotel with false advertising - Comfortable bed Where do u start...
Booked room with mini bar
Mini bar consisted of 2 bottles water 2 coffee sachets 2 tea bags
No other alcoholic drinks or soft drinks or snacks
Pool is 100m away from hotel n was filthy
Food is limited n better given to a street dog...
Would never ever spend 1 night there again...
- MORGAN (6/5): - Pool a bit far away from hotel.. 100metres walk and everything a bit run down… but on the upside very cheap hotel 😍
- Wannachat (9/5): Superb -
- Talon (8/5): Very good -
- Nickwolff (7/5): A good stay, but pity about the low water pressure and no on-site restaurant. - The suite with balcony was fine in every way. Clean and comfortable. The location was convenient for an event we were attending. Free car parking was available. There were 2 problems with our stay; the water pressure in our room was too weak to be able to have a proper shower. Also there was no restaurant at the hotel which was very inconvenient as the breakfast service finishes at 9.a.m.
- Ines (8/5): Very good -
- Aleksandr (9/5): Superb -
- Ian (7/5): OK nothing great - Only short walk to 7-11 store & a huge market. Unfortunately breakfast was cold eggs, small sausages etc. Seems a common fault in Thailand.
Unfortunately if you don’t ensure shower curtain closed floor is easily flooded…….poor drainage.
I don’t like standing in a bath to shower. Fortunately anti slip rubber mat provided.
Unfortunately only English speaking movies. I prefer a news channel eg Australian or American ABC news
- Michel (8/5): Nice stay! - close from the main lively spot. Not many signs to get there the first time.
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional - Superb hotel. I love it here. Everything was perfect. Thank you
- Ivan (8/5): Very good -
- Vou (8/5): - Decent price and kind of private from the street and markets
- René (6/5): - Slechte douche, werd een zwembad.
- Sandro (9/5): Superb -
- Mantas (1/5): Bad -
- Arunthip (5/5): Passable - Friendly staff. A big swimming pool, not much people. Nice suite room in 9th floor, but noisy location (A big road was so near and soundproof wasn't good). We asked second towel and blanket, must pay more. 70m2 suite we had, but still only one big blanket. Very noisy location. Water pressure was very weak, hard to use shower. Breakfast was very small and poor.
- Mr David (8/5): - A good hotel if you don’t want to stay in city centre. Many food options nearby?
Clean hotel, slightly tired in some areas, but a good safe bet to stay every time.
Staff are good and helpful.
- David (7/5): ok but you can find far better for the same price - staff are friendly and helpful Well have stayed here before and the included breakfast provided now has dropped a few notches , very basic now boiled eggs with rice or toast with jam ,we took one look and went outdoors to eat.
- Laurina (1/5): I didnt stay as its not the place you advertise. - This is awful!! And Im still waiting on my refund.
This is NOT the place you advertise!!!
The staff even say this happens alot and you still havent removed the false photos!! Its not the place you advertise!!!
Total Sham!!!
I didnt even stay and you still haven't refunded me
- Jean Pierre (10/5): Advise - It’s good
- Ashlee (5/5): no dinner in the hotel. no massage facility as advertised, - near to the ashes scatter site. after the shower in the bath tub, the bathroom’s floor was all wet, because the shower head pointed to horizontal direction and bathtub’s edge tilted the wrong way.
A breakfast room’s staff playing phone at a guest’s table wasn’t a nice picture.
- Tzachi (6/5): Requires improvement - Breakfast is very limited and disappointing
Weak pressure in the shower
There is a state of cold water or hot water
- Philip (10/5): Convenient and Comfortable Hotel - We stopped to break up a road trip and also to visit nearby Ancient Siam the following day. The staff was friendly and everything worked well. Because of the lack of tourism, the restaurant and bar were unfortunately closed. But they did provide the included breakfast through room service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): So convenient, we booked a second night. - After staying one night and spending the next day at nearby Ancient Siam, we decided to stay a second night before continuing on with our road trip south. I was able to take advantage of the very large swimming pool for a cooling swim. Also, there is a large market a short distance away where you can get a wide variety of delicious fresh street food day or night.Since we had no need to stop in Bangkok this time, it was nice to just skirt the edges of all that traffic congestion.
- nickal06 (6/5): Fortunately...friendly staff - The staff speaks English at the reception, and are definitely helpful.
The room are still in good shape but the cleaning in the bathroom might be improved.
The 2 aspects that are impacting negatively my review are the following:
- free mini-bar for the first night, just check-out the photo, it's a fake promotion
- the breakfast is at this moment a pure scam as well. Probably due to covid, they can't make a buffet and it is fully understandable, but the customer should informed up front what it will be: a plate and a all-in-one dehydrated coffee. If I knew, I'll not include it.
Anyway...
- cocoman101 (10/5): High Quality and Inexpensive - Visiting Bangkok for KMS course. This hotel was an excellent choice, only 13 minutes from the Kingdom Hall. The outside belies the inside. Outside it's a huge blue block that looks like any other apartment building in Bangkok. But step inside and it's a different story. A large marble reception, restaurant to the right and breakfast room to the left. The rooms are very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. I had a walk-in wardrobe and a spacious bathroom with a wide sliding door - excellent access for disabled people. There was a bathtub with lashings of hot water. In the room was a huge panel TV on the wall. We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent, lots of fresh food and vegetables and lots of choice. Breakfast was good too. Around the area were many convenience stores and a lot of street food. The room was quiet, not affected by the busy main roads 50 metres away. Altogether, for a tad over 1,000 baht, it was excellent. Would use again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Not bad..can consider staying again. Staffs quite polite, and helpful
- leesJ1355IW (8/5): Good stay - We stayed here for 9 nights and found it to be very clean, good internet, good parking and the staff wee very friendly and helpful.
Its a little way off the bts line but its fine in terms of location.
Thank you
- superman_landthip (10/5): good location / value / food / - I come form up country for business and my friend recommend for The color living hotel is good location near by suvarnabhumi airport and good accommodation good breakfast
on very friday they have buffet international is charge THB 499.- per persons very perfect
if whenever i come to my business i think come back to here!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5):
- Sharkattak (8/5): Good hotel - Good hotel
Good restaurant and breakfast room.
Easy to reach the city center by Taxi
Economic and quiet place
Receptionist very friendly and helpful.
Room big and clean .
I will coming back next month .
- Psyvolt (8/5): Friendly staff, comfy rooms - I stayed at the color living hotel whilst getting some dental work completed, and whilst it's not a hotel id stay at if i was a tourist wanting to explore bangkok city (it's quiet a distance away), it was perfect for my needs.
The rooms were of a very generous size, with the room split into three sections. First section been the walk in closet with a good sized clothes hanging area, and this included the room safe.
Next area was the living area with the bed, tv, mini bar fridge and tea/coffee supplies.
And the third area was the bathroom which you could close of to the rest of the room.
The bed was quiet large, and mostly comfortable but was a bit lumpy (but not enough to be uncomfortable).
The hotel had a pool, but was in a weird location that meant walking to another building on the block to use.
The hotel restaurant was this hotels shinning star. All the food items we ordered were absolutely delicious, with the all you could eat seafood buffet been one of the best I've ever been too (inc in buffet: prawns, oysters, mussles, clams, salmon (cooked to order), fish, roast meats, curries, rice, fruits, chocolate fountains, ice creams and custurd cups).
The actual hotel lobby was clean and well laid out, but although petty, reading all the "Dont do" signs plastered on the doors and walls of the lobby isnt exactly what a visitor wants to read when first walking into a hotel (no smoking, no loud talking, no eating or drinking of items from outside, no certain fruits ect).
Check in was efficient and quick, with the preferred room I requested when initially booking the room been given.
Will stay here again when in this area of Bangkok next time.
- annhussey (8/5): very good - The food and staff were very kind and helpful must say the food was excellent and breakfast such a selection of things as well to eat.
You were quite central to things like markets and shopping malls which were also excellent
- Jean Pierre (10/5): Bon hotel - Good
- Jean Pierre (8/5): Perfect - Room is good near everything
Good place
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I was a bit worried after reading the previous reviews, but the hotel was fine, I'd give a rating of 6.7 overall. I was on the 10rh floor which was quiet.
The room was large although nothing special.
The staff were great.
Some incredibly loud Chinese tourists yelling in the lobby which was annoying.
I had breakfast at 8am, everything was cold.
Large pool about 200 meters behind the hotel.
All in all rhe hotel was fine, but at 2000baht a night it was overpriced for the area.
- Jasper (8/5): - quiet hotel far away from the city. live performance at the lobby during the night.
- Nick (6/5): Nice hotel with just a few flaws - This hotel has clean and comfortable rooms, some are quite big, and helpful staff that could speak English.
Inside the room the cable TV has hundreds of channels that I could spend a long time watching.
I was able to use wifi at the ground floor, but it became unusable in my room at 10th floor.
It has a swimming pool but is 100m away from the hotel across a few apartment blocks and no one uses it, so you have to take care of your own safety when swimming there.
The hotel is a few km away from the nearest BTS station so it is better to have your transport prepared, or you will have to take a taxi, which should cost under 100 baht. A large mid to low range shopping mall is next to the station and I could spend time in it.
There are 24 hours convenient stores outside the hotel, and shops and street food stands at night nearby for you to explore.
A major road is right outside the hotel so traffic can be busy at times, it is easy to get a taxi, but also got the noise from vehicles even at top floor.
The hotel also have a lot of customers from a certain large country that makes a lot of noise at the reception area.
- Daniel (8/5): Average hotel - Not bad hotel, staff friendly, room is ok, the place is overrun with noisy Chinese people shouting in the corridors, pushing and shoving in the lifts and thinking they are the only guests in the hotel.
- petw (4/5): Color living hotel - Rooms very old and outdated . I had booked for 10 days. I left after 3. Asked for refund. Was told no. Told to call Expedia. When I called Expedia they had to call hotel to ask for me . Request was granted. Don't know why could have done for me without getting Expedia involved..also it's been 10 days and have not seen refund
- Verified traveler (6/5): So so - Air condition does not perform well and only two electric spots are available to use.
- Tony Dake (8/5): Great & cheap hotel - It is quite a good and clean hotel which is near by my business requirement area which offered all the necessary needs .
- minnie (8/5): - Clean but noisy from the tourists. Parkin area was not good enough.
- Stephen (8/5): Thumbs up - Thumbs up
- GroupDDD (2/5): Hotel have rooms at back alley - I stay in the hotel "itself" before, it's very nice, clean, large toilets & strategically located.
So, I recommend our group of friends to stay there recently. When we checked in, we are being allocated to another place at the back alley of the hotel. It's not even connected with the hotel. We need to walk out of the hotel, go round the side walkway and not to mentioned being caught in rain & shine. The hotel picture is deceiving. I ask for a change but the reception says we booked through another party ie. agoda & expedia which is cheap. We need to top up almost double the price if we want to stay in the hotel itself. Honestly, the price we pay is about the same for hotel in the surrounding area and almost the same I paid on my 1st time stay there.
I believe they used to be good but because a lot of booking, they open up another "accommodation" which is not a hotel at all.
If you stay inside the hotel itself, good place to stay. If not, avoid !
- mark (8/5): Lazy doorman - Doorman would not come to taxi get your bags .. he stayed in aircon until I got the bags to him.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel with very friendly staff - First room not suitable for staying, staff kindly gave another for extra payment, and again a new (suite) when complained for noice for free, very kind staff and clean hotel.
- Painchai (8/5): - Hotel staff is nice and helpful. The hotel lobby may be too small to handle tourist tours.
- danieltK9914CM (6/5): Avoid tower 2 - Stayed here many times, normally quite good and nice staff... booked this year and it said "Tower 2"...... turned up and it is at the back of the hotel, an old apartment building converted to hotel rooms but some are still apartments, room disappointing, some plug sockets have been sealed up so no bedside lamps (picture below), no light switches by the bed, noisy in the corridors as it's all tiled so any noise travels, housekeeping turn up about 6.30am and their radios can be heard in the rooms so expect to get woken up, entrance to the place is off a scruffy street and feels unsafe at night.... we have stayed here for the last 6 years before we fly back to the U.K. but won't be staying again....
- Verified traveler (10/5): What a view - Very nice place and a bang for your Buck, 25 min ride from the center
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bløff - Jeg betalte for et rom i 4-stjerners hotell. Det viste seg at alt var bløff. Hotellet bør miste to stjerner.
- Johnbmudge (2/5): Avoid - Poor room in a block quite away from main hotel. Room had a kettle but strangely no tea or coffee making facilities, not even cups. No safe in room. Only Thai tv stations.
Paid 279 baht for breakfast but should have checked the food first, had many dishes but all stone cold and inedible!!! All i could eat was Toast and coffee. Asked to see the manager but he was unavailable to deal with an unhappy customer and a refund was refused.
Shame as this hotel was recommended to me but never again
- LarryG392 (8/5): Good location - This hotel is conveniently located near the International Airport. The room was spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom. The buffet breakfast provided variety for different nationalities. The staff were friendly and helpful.
- 54amyp (8/5): Great hotel for the price - We really enjoyed our one night stay here. The room was very clean with modern furnishings and decor. It was also very large with plenty of room to spread out. Favorite part was the large bathtub with plenty of very hot water. So relaxing after a long flight. Wifi was available but very slow. We ate in the hotel restaurant and enjoyed our food, especially the complimentary juice for our first night. The staff was super friendly and helped us with our bags. Only complaint was that the fridge in the room smelled pretty bad. Luckily we didn't need to use it.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Pari päivää Samut Prakanissa - Pari päivää Samut Prakanissa, ystävällinen henkilökunta suht lähellä ancient city ja krokofarmi. Hotelli oli vanhahko mutta siisti.
- Verified traveler (4/5):
- Verified traveler (8/5):
- frodeosvaldl (4/5): Wrong information - On various WEB site it is announced the hotel has Swimming Pool, also on The Color Hotel web showing picture of swimming pool, This is not pool located at the hotel, but is a public swimming pool for hotel and 5 condos in connections to the hotel area. some working girls hanging around the pool
- VivaHawaii (6/5): Very Nice - This is a very nice hotel. The staff are all very friendly/helpful and the room is huge when compared to other hotels at a similar price. The hotel should get an overall rating of very good, but I only put average - that is because of the location. For me, I like to be close to where the action is and have easy access to attractions. The location means it is a taxi ride to any place I wanted to visit.
- PinayT (8/5): Had a restful stay - This hotel is very clean and well-kept. The rooms are spacious, too. Rates very reasonable. I enjoyed their buffet breakfast and they serve either brewed Thai or Allegria (Nescafé) coffee. The hotel staff are very friendly, too. Will stay in this hotel again.
- Mario (6/5): Close to airport - Have stayed before but this time rooms smelt of smoke on non smoking floor.
Management need to pay attention to malfunctioning air conditioning and television.
Cleanliness of rooms could be better if more attention was paid to detail of built up grime and dust behind and underneath beds
- LFC-Dude-88 (10/5): Steve - Great!
I arrived at the hotel at 4pm.
I'm a English Man. That speaks very little Thai (my bad). I found hotel and car park really easy.
As I got out of my car my back clicked and the pain was incredible.
The lady in car park hut helped me to the hotel (thank you) where a guy then got me a wheelchair and took me through to reception to check in. My Thai wife met me at this point as she was in Bangkok already.
The staff on reception were very helpful and the man then took me up to room in the wheelchair. The Room was a good size and very clean. The A/C worked well, as I'd put my back out I didn't see the rest of the Hotel. What I did see was well worth what I'd paid.
The staff were fantastically helpful (thank you)
I will defiantly stay here again.
Over all great stay
- Kierstie (6/5): Decent - Positives:
- Staff was very polite and helpful
- Rooms were big
- Breakfast was AMAZING
- Room service good with good prices
- they have a decent gym
Negatives:
- The towels in the restrooms were VERY old, hard. It felt like those old towels your dog sleeps on top.
- Wifi was VERY slow, basically did not work
- Hotel is in the middle of a poor area, nothing decent around it. You need to get taxi and drive for about 1 hour to get to anywhere touristic.
- TSE FU (8/5): good night market of local foods - The rooms are decent for its price range,
as for location, there is a night market selling all sorts of local foods, right on the same street, and varieties are being found there.
- M3211VFmariob (10/5): Great Value Great Staff - In my opinion this hotel is the best value botique hotel in Bangkok.
conveniently located with excellent staff and quality cuisine.
The reception is always helpful and are good ambassadors for Thailand
I will always use this establishment when travelling to Bangkok.
Well done Colour living.
- ALVIN (8/5): Good stay - Fair and good, reasonable money paid for the room.
- Patty (10/5): Close to airport and good competitive rates - We will stay in this hotel again.
Great staff great value Excellent Hotel
