Sian (7/5): Great location. Lovely team. Needs a bit of a spruce - Location- very easy check in and check out and some lovely personal touches by the team (welcome gift, breakfast tea, sandwhich on arrival) Bathroom needs an upgrade. Bed didn’t feel ultra clean.
Arzish (9/5): Boutique hotel which punches above its weight - Enjoyable stay at the Rokxy. Excellent location, decent rooms and fair price point. What sets them apart are the little touches; the team goes to great lengths to ensure that you have a good experience, from start to finish. Freshly brewed tea and biscuits at your door in the mornings, luggage storage after you've checked out, etc. Would definitely stay here again! Rooms are compact.

P8643LZstefand (10/5): A small and charming hotel - The room was very clean and beautifully furnished. The bed was very comfortable for sleeping. The shower and toilet were small, but served their purpose well. The only drawbacks were the lack of storage space for clothes and the unnecessary carpets on the floor. A lovely touch was the tea and newspaper delivered to the door in the morning. The tips and recommendations they sent us by email were also excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent and very quiet. We will definitely come back!

Cocktail on arrival in the evening, morning tea trolley, sandwiches in the room. It was all so thoughtfully done and attentive. My only feedback would be to put small fans in the rooms as it can get hot (small room OR higher floor)… but other than that I had a great stay.

A full size Fortnum and Mason jar of jam, a plate of cucumber sandwiches and a welcome card The room was clean and had everything it needed other than a full length mirror. When I gave feedback a full length mirror was fetched and added to the room Crockery and cutlery were provided and a microwave. The 'dry' mini fridge was free and included water, Pepsi, energy drinks and chocolate. We were in the lobby waiting for our extra person to join us, when Pedro arrived. Pedro is the bartender who set up the bar and made us fabulous cocktails, whiskey sours and rum punch. These were complimentary!!! The next morning, I opened the door to find a breakfast tray with a fresh pot of tea, biscuits and a paper. Unfortunately the email informing of this went to my Spam folder so didn't see it, so the tea was cold, but the staff absolutely would have made me a fresh pot had I asked Luggage was stored for us, nothing was too much trouble These extra touches completely enhanced our stay The staff were fabulous, helpful, professional and friendly

Brilliant to be able to drop my bag in the morning and go back to my room in the evening and have my bag already delivered into my room. Really responsive staff. Having a mini-fridge was great. There were lots of brilliant details, such as providing free drinks in the fridge and a little sandwich; lots of convenient plug sockets; plenty of towels. Being picky, the bathroom/shower were tiny in my layover room but the price was great and it was clean and comfortable, so it was absolutely fine. Could hear talking in the adjoining room.

The whole process - booking thro to access, well communicated by their team with easy entry to a clean, quirky & comfortable room. Some nice thoughts - the welcome sandwich, pop & choc bars in the fridge were nice as was the tea trolley left at the door in the morning. All in all a nice stay & highly recommended, thank you.

The staff were wonderful, and we got a free cocktail before heading out for dinner! When we go back we’ll definitely be staying for more drinks! We were able to leave our bags there in the morning before check-in, which is a luxury for London (not having to haul a bag around!) and they dropped the bags off in our room before we checked in later in the day. The facilities were also brilliant and the whole place was clean and well presented. We will definitely return to stay here again!

Lovely property and room. The room was well decorated and very clean. The staff were tremendous, and all they could to make our stay welcome. Some lovely touches and even a card and gifts for my birthday. The only downside was that the shower room was very small and nowhere to hang clothes in the room. The room was quite small. However, these are minor points and didn’t spoil our stay.

There were some lovely touches too, including sandwiches and drinks in the room when we arrived. Unfortunately the radiator in our original room didn’t work, but the staff were very quick to help and moved us to another room last minute without any hassle. All in all, a nice place to stay for a short trip.

Their staff Pedro went out of his way to be sure we were happy with our stay. All of the staff were very kind & accommodating. Location was great. Other than some neighborhood chatter at night, very quiet. Wish it was clearer on-line when booking what room you will receive. The first room was definitely more updated, but not the decor we thought we'd paid for. The second room, the decor was great, but not as updated, so the bed was not as comfortable. Was difficult to find the door for the second room, not intuitive to find.

And the Fortnum's jam, too! Constant communications before I arrived to help with check in. It was very hot in the room, even with the window open.

The rooms are small, but full of thoughtful amenities. And the staff are the kindest, most helpful I've ever encountered. Pedro especially made us feel more than welcome. It was all a bit cramped, but really, we didn't care. When I go back to London, this is the only hotel we'll be staying at.

Situata al terzo piano senza ascensore, molto attrezzata con accappatoi, frigorifero, macchina del caffè e microonde oltre a condizionatore e TV (tutti di qualità). Molto gradito i sandwich di benvenuto trovato all'arrivo e il tè caldo con biscottini che veniva lasciato dietro la porta la mattina. Tende non perfettamente oscuranti. la mancanza anche di una piccola sedia su cui poggiare i vestiti

My gripes - the room we had isn't in any of the photos, I booked one which appeared to have a bed with access at both sides but ours didn't. Not a major thing but inconvenient. (I'd booked a crash pad so wasn't expecting a huge room, we were given what they called a Super Queen which isn't listed on their website or any of the other sites I looked at) The booking mentioned nespresso capsules - no machine so no capsules. Also Smeg fridges - ours was a similar style but a copy. Otherwise - we were given a ground floor room so although there were a few steps to it and in the room, the lack of a lift wasn't a problem but might be if we were in an upper room. The wifi/broadband was weak (my phone couldn't even find it, although it worked OK once I'd typed in the name) but it meant the TV hardly worked (bufferig/black screen) The jar of Fortnum's jam was a lovely touch although a toaster might have been handy so we could use it! Water and a couple of kitkats in the fridge along with some random cans. Greeted with 2 small cucumber sandwiches, which was quirky, as was the morning tea tray (teapot, some milk pots and a few Biscoff biscuits) but no paper as mentioned in other reviews. We were offered a free drink in the bar but were booked for dinner & theatre so couldn't stay. Everything was very clean and towels were replaced & bins emptied while we were out on Satuday. I wasn't particularly bothered by the number pad rather than an actual key but wasn't sure how secure it was.

Charis (9/5): Great location with access to buses, tube and train. Nice and stylish small hotel - Perfect location to explore London and specially if looking for a good access transport network (tube and trains). Very attentive, lots of details. Clean and stylish We have an issue with the hot water but was promptly solved by the staff The room is compact but includes all you may need for a short stay The King Cross area near by is not the best late at night
pat (7/5): Great welcome and location. Shame about the wifi/broadband and the bed position. - Location was excellent. The welcome was great. Loved having a fridge. Room was a good size. Bed was comfortable. Pillows were huge! Liked the tea tray, although mostly for the tray itself and the teapot as the cups were tiny. Water and other drinks in the fridge was a nice touch. Oh and a jar of Fortnum's jam was an unexpected gift! The WiFi was patchy which also meant the TV didn't work most of the time. I'm sure the room I booked had space at both sides of the bed - the room we got (which sounded as if it was an upgrade by the name) had the bed up against one wall, making it impossible for my partner to get out of bed without me moving too. Microwave would be of use to some but I think we'd have prefered a toaster, especialy with the jam provided. We were on the ground floor (although with steps to and inside the room) but no lift might put me off in future. I also found it hard to get up the step outside.

You will be continually surprised by the inclusive extras! - Over the last few years I have stayed in many hotels in the Kings Cross area with mixed experiences, however the Rokxy Townhouse is without doubt the best I've stayed in. From the communication beforehand, the greeting on arrival and the exceptional room it exceeded all expectations. Then there are the extras and personal touches, all included in the price, none of which were expected or even necessary but all make the experience such a pleasurable one and clearly demonstrate the care the owners take with their property and guests. I would without a shadow of doubt seek out this lovely accommodation again. It may have been an oversight with such attention to detail taken by the proprietor but proper cups/mugs and teaspoons were not provided (but this is so minor in comparison to what was provided)
