- CarriLin (10/5): - Incredible bargain, right in the Village! Very large and comfortable- I wish we could have stayed for a month. Just walk outside and you're surrounded by shops, restaurants, a local coffee house; even a little market right across the street.

- Joe (10/5): Fun Stay - Highly recommend the village in, it’s centrally located in the village where all of the shops and restaurants are. It’s also about a 5 minute walk from the lake.

- April (10/5): - Loved that the entrance stepped right out into the Village area. Had Pizza and icecream couple business down. Mexican and BBQ across the street. Parking was right in back of building with great lighting. We stayed in Grizzle and enjoyed our stay. We will definitely stay again. Loved that we got to walk everywhere!

- KEVIN (10/5): - Great place if you want to take advantage of being right in The Village. You can walk out of the building and grab a gelato from the downstairs gelato and tea store right in the building. We ate at the surrounding restaurants, ate gelato and frozen yogurt, checked out the stores and watched a movie at the Village Cinemas. The Village Inn is dated but very clean and everything worked fine including the wifi. Had a full kitchen with full size refrigerator/freezer, microwave, range, plates, silverware, pots/pans, etc. which we didn't use as we ate out. No central a/c but they have a portable inside if you need it. Portable a/c's are loud so cool down your room before you go to sleep or do what I do when traveling which is bring some earplugs. This isn't a "front desk" type of lodging unit but communication is excellent and timely. I received all of the information I needed via text and email. Room access is via a code that they provide when you text a copy of your ID the day of. When you check out, you just drop them a text. Convenient parking in the back of the building parking lot.

Its more of a rustic lodge stay. With all the things you need and some. Its clean, friendly service with prompt response

Comes with a full kitchen, gas fireplace, parking. Perfect for a family with kids as there was bunk bed available. Portable ac in the living room and a fan in the main room. Your a minute or so out your door to the village.

The layout of the building is great for minimal noise issues. Although these are older units, the rustic charm was a cool vibe and everything was in working order with no issues at all. - Brittany (10/5): - Excellent little gem in the heart of The Village and just a short walk down the main drag to Pine Knot Marina and a cute playground for kids. The management company was very responsive and check-in and parking was easy. The unit itself hasnt been remodeled, and has original 1970's sink and wood paneling but they did a great job in keeping it clean and adding charming cabin style decor. They have every amenity including drip coffee maker, toaster, fridge, hair dryer and bathroom toiletries. I would stay here again and highly reccomend!

- Jennifer (10/5): - Visited this past week. From the get go, the management company was very communicative and reached out to me several times. I was traveling with my dog they were super responsive with all the questions that I had (and for $20 the whole stay for my dog, amazing). Check in was a breeze since the management company emailed and texted me all the instructions. The unit itself was spacious with a full service kitchen (yes, fridge, stove, microwave, pots, pans, dishes, etc.), a separate bedroom and a roomy living room. The place is less than a 10 minute walk to Big Bear Lake and just steps from the main strip with all the restaurants, shops, movie theater, and bars. Eventhough the unit was so close to all the action, it was nice and quiet. Will definitely stay again.

- Stephen (6/5): - Property was a little dated. Shower didn’t stay warm for two people. Nicely located within Big Bear Village. Which made it convenient and walkable.
- David (10/5): - The unit was surprisingly spacious. It was a one bedroom, one bath with the sink area separated from the tub/toilet which is nice. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, dishes, pots, pans, etc. There was a full size kitchen with stove, oven and fridge. No dishwasher. The living room was huge with a sofa and a trundle bed that sleeps two. The dining table is perfect for 4. I suppose one could also use the kitchen counter to eat but there were no seats provided. I would have no hesitation cooking in that kitchen but there were plenty of dining options nearby. The location cannot be beat in the heart of the Village and parking just behind the building. I stayed on a Thursday night. The village was happening but the room was not noisy. I'm not sure whether it would be noisy on a Friday or Saturday night. The hosts had very good communication, and I would definitely stay there again.

- dung (10/5): - This place a hidden gem. From the outside you would never guess that this place was an inn. My daughters and I are staying in room 3 which is called grizzly bear. It’s super spacious with a separate bedroom. You walk out the front door and you are right smack middle of everything. I highly recommend this place.
- Nicole (10/5): Worth the money! - Guuuuys dont let the store front fool you. It's cozy Casual and chill So Much ambiance. We only used it to sleep wish we we stayed for the comfort. Can fit a few people but it was just 2 for us. We met friends and craved the "cabin" feel. It could be more updated but... To each their own. Price was right. They were amazing and they met all my expectations. Super personable and texted when needed! Please stay here and make it known it's super low key chill.

Small kitchen and living room with everything you need to cook, watch TV by the fireplace or people watch from the window overlooking Big Bear Village. Lots of shops and restaurants adjacent.
- Verified traveler (8/5): We really enjoyed! - The location! It’s middle of the village. We walked around with our dogs and enjoyed our stay. Very warm rooms. We really like this place. The owner(?) is ver accommodating. We will be back. Two things we noticed: There was not enough hot water for the bath. The lock system is good but you can hear the other guests’ beeping sounds whenever they open/lock the doors.

We stay at BlackBear and the window outside was spectacular. We see all the Christmas decorations and people outside just having a good time . Room was nice and clean . Except one thing was really off . The fridge ! Man, that fridge is loud ! Need to replace that fridge asap .

- RJ (10/5): - 5/5 Stars - A Cozy and Relaxing Stay! We had an amazing experience at SoCal Vacations - Village Inn at Big Bear! The room was cozy and had everything we needed for a memorable getaway. The fireplace was a highlight, keeping us warm and providing the perfect ambiance for making s’mores. The kitchen was fully equipped, and I was able to use the stove and oven to cook breakfast and bake cookies, which made our stay feel just like home. A heads-up: the smoke detector is a bit sensitive, so be careful while cooking! The hot tub in the middle of the living room was such a unique feature and worked perfectly after a long, cold day exploring. It was clean, the jets were powerful, and it provided the ultimate relaxation. The only minor downside was that it took about 45 minutes to fill, but we never ran into any issues with running out of hot water. However, one thing to note is that the blinds in the corner of the room were broken, so we had to hang a towel over the window for extra privacy while using the hot tub. Overall, this was a wonderful stay, and we loved taking advantage of all the amenities. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a cozy and fun retreat in Big Bear!
- Rudy (8/5): Great space! But... - Really nice and cozy space. Fully stocked apartment like room steps from the village. Good marks all around except for a few things, such as having 2 beds but listed as only sleeping 2 people. We unfortunately had to book another room at a hotel next door for our 2 additional family members. They wouldn't allow more than 2 in the room. Also the couch bed bracket was broken when we got there, still folded out but we couldn't fold it back in. Other than that we had a great time

This is one of my favorite spots, not only because of the homey feel but because the location is central to many shops and entertainment. Keep in mind it's not a 5 star hotel, the rooms have some character. I have stayed here before and would stay again.

They don’t seem to have anyone in the office except for very select hours. I guess they tried to contact us but as we didn’t have phone service, we didn’t receive the text regarding checkin. Thankfully we ran into another guest who had the contact number for the owner and we were able to connect and check in. The place is spacious and very nice! Kitchen is well stocked with most of what you need to cook. No can opener but everything else was good! Would definitely stay here again!
- Ilya (8/5): - Bed is bad and gave my wife back pain. Room code is a 4 digit number and so feels very insecure, there is no latch to close when you are inside.

- Eric (10/5): - The place is in a great location, close to the mountain, shops, and restaurants. Most importantly, it has a kitchen with utensils, cups, plates, bowls, and cookware, so you can save some money and eat at the rental
- Jesper (10/5): Great location - well maintained room - Super location, steps away from the main street in the Big Bear Village. Older property, with well-maintained rooms and new shower/bathroom. We had lots of space, a nice kitchen and a fun "mountain vibe" in the room. My teenagers loved the big space and ability to find a quiet corner.

- JOHN (2/5): Never stay here - It was horrible. The room had a terrible musty smell. The fireplace did not work. The office closed at 5:30 and they were not available except by text and if it was an emergency. The couch was very uncomfortable. The pictures made the place much better than it was. I had headaches and so did my wife. As soon as we got outside they would go away. It was very very disappointing. We left on Saturday at 3pm. We just couldn’t get comfortable.
