hairdrayer too week and old
- 514alpaya (2/5): Kötü deneyim - The hotel staff is implementing tourism service very badly. The staff providing breakfast service should be warned. My young friend who serves drinks in the lobby in the evening, you may be the best person in that hotel. I think tourism services in the world should not vary according to people.

Rooms and the hotel is very clean
Good location
Very friendly and helpful staff (within the limits of the hotel facilities) Unbearable for non-smokers. Although my reservation explicitly indicated a non-smoking room, I was placed in a smoking room. After I complained, the helpful staff immediately changed my room to a non-smoking room. In reality, it was as stinky as the smoking one. The entire hotel was covered in tobacco smoke from the front desk to the hallways and to the rooms. I just couldn't wait for the night to end to leave. I didn't even stay for breakfast as I couldn't take the smell of tobacco smoke anymore.
- Bmr130 (9/5): Lovely hotel, good value and service, staff very helpful -
- tineke123 (10/5): Very nice hotel - Very nice hotel, very clean and lovely breakfast. The staff was very friendly and made us feel at home. We didn't book in advance and we arrived pretty late. Fortunately they had a room available. We especially liked the breakfast, lots of different things to eat....
- 332sanyas (2/5): AVOID AT ALL COST! - This hotel caters to "friends with benefits" with shady faces, and you will do yourself a favor to avoid! The staff is unfriendly, they make you book two nights as they do not allow you to book just one night. The sheets had blood on them and beds had some sort of cover that you would put under a child that wets a bad at night. Overall, horrible stay, unfriendly staff, very noisy, breakfast average, in the middle of nowhere, very expensive for what you get, so never again!
- ig_danin007 (2/5): Scummers - Just run away from them.
It's really nice hotel, but the staff is terrible. I'm speaking about manager and people in charge.
We have booked 3 bedrooms but they weren't happy with the price we originally paid, so they just overbooked us. Imagine the situation when you come on 31.12. in the hotel, and they say you I'm sorry but we don't have your reservation even tho I had booking confirmation.
After waiting in the lobby for 3 hours, they gave us 2 rooms for 5 people (we were 6) and they added one additional bad that wasn't functional, so I basically slept on the floor?! The only reason I accepted this was because it was New Year's Eve and we wanted just to sleep anywhere after we come back from the celebration.
At the checkout, they charged us again?! They even charged me for that additional bed that wasn't functional?!?!? First time in my life I was charged because I slept on the floor.
After I returned home and contacted HRS with who I booked them, I found out that they overbooked us, so I wrote them one e-mail and their answer was "What do you want, we gave you a place to sleep and you accepted it", I mean really?!
Maybe it's a 4-star hotel but the service is terrible, I will rather sleep in 2-star hotel where people treat you nice.
- Diakojohn (6/5): Not a pleasant stay - The hotel seems to be newly built, with comfortable rooms and most of facilities. It’s not in the center of the city and this is clear to the guests by hotel description. However it’s well known to taxi drivers. I had dinner in Hotel restaurant, tastes could say that is on average. Was disappointed me strongly is the breakfast style and menu, as you have to choose and .. order from the menu list (see attached a relevant foto) some very typical choices like yogurt, eggs, etc.. sorry but this is not a 4* breakfast menu and service (no buffet option and we are talking for a 4* Hotel). More ever, if you are disgusting in dairy products then your only option (like my one ) is bread and some Marmelades. What’s also awful is that smoking is not prohibited in restaurant area (actually this takes place anywhere at Serbia) so you are suffering when you have you dinner under such an atmosphere round you, while you are not a smoker.. Another point that was not for taking place in a 4*!hotel, is the fact that you could see aming corridors, all day and all of the night, some cleaning trolleys plus baby cots lefted somewhere on a corner, out of a storage room, no matter if they have to be placed in the storage room, for safety and typical reasons. Couldn’t say it, civilization..
- lebada (8/5): Large room and comfortable bed - I stayed at Hotel Majdan as it was really close to my meeting place. It is not a bad Hotel. Rooms are large and clean , with minibar. Staff was polite and price decent . The breakfast is nothing special and need to pay extra for a good coffee. The staff was nice and polite .
I had dinner at restaurant and food was quite tasty , unpleasant was they did not bring me the bill to sign just put it on my room and I suspect they “increase” it :) so make sure you ask for bill if you eat there
They have parking in front of Hotel free. Area is nothing nice around
- monikailieva26 (10/5): Excellent hotel in Belgrade - We had very pleasant stay - the rooms are clean and large, very comfortable bed, bid bathroom, everything you need. The restaurant and the breakfast were also very good.
A little bit far from the city center, but still good location.
The staff was also very nice and helpful.
- Student_25_happy_ (10/5): For a wedding night - It was a wonderful stay: the hotel is very clean, new and modern. The rooms are very suitable for short stay, bathroom has also good size for its use. We xelebrated a night in the big hall and it brings us only good memories and nice experience. The morning surprices us with a good breakfast choice and quiet atmosphere. I like the night stay and the morning food&the coffee were very nice!
- Din_don_dav (8/5): Very good Hotel! - I Just spent more than one week here for work,Hotel is clean, big rooms and the staff of the restaurant ok!Quite faar from the centre of the city but travelling for work here you find all you need. Breakfast also good but mainly non-sweet items,in total anyway satisfied!Little bit too noisy because often there are parties/ceremony on ground floor.
- timvh86 (10/5): Great hotel for a stopover - This hotel is located near the highway, so convenient for a stopover. I think the parking is guarded during the nights (when I arrived at 8 pm, there was a guard). Nice room and the bathroom has a great rain shower. Good breakfast.
Very friendly and helpful staff. When I checked out, there were some other guests who had problems with their visa and the staff did everything to help them solve this problem.
I'll certainly stay here again.
- AlistairRiddell (10/5): Good hotel, not central - Hotel is located in a rather run-down street with lots of construction going on, quite far from the city centre. But hotel is immaculately new, clean and modern with friendly helpful English-speaking staff. Free parking outside. Good free WiFi. Breakfast buffet was good. Paid £42 for one night on hotels.com.
- mamamojadojaja (6/5): By the freeway - Luxsury hotel with 3 stars for familys or travelers on the road. Clean and cosy rooms. Suitable for events. It is not expencive. Def recommend... Staff is really good. Good money value. It is far from city center about 10min by car and 20min by bus.
- GloriaG82 (8/5): Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, excellent continental breakfast buffet. - I stayed at MAJDAN for a week in January of 2016. Both my mother and I had a very pleasant experience in this hotel. The setting a beautiful, especially the chandelliers and the stairs very elegant. The room was elegant, clea, service prompt. TV programming in almost any language possible. Everybody was nice, the restaurant in the hotel was very good, food was delicious. Ivan, the waiter was funny and a very gracious host.
We especially loved the buffet breakfast, the Serbian products were delicious and cooking was very good.
Perhaps the only thing I did not like ( being from the USA and used to strict laws on smoking in public) is excessive smoking and smell of cigarets everywhere. That was the downside. But that is more on the laws and regulations of Belgrade I guess.
One more thing: There are lots of stray dogs and cats around the hotel and in the city overall. Please feed them when you get a chance) or see if there is a good shelter for them nearby....
- AndreeaHogea (8/5): Nice place, nice people - It's a nice hotel.
It is not located in the center but it is at 5-6 euros away by taxi.
The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was extremely clean and the food was delicious. Breakfast is acceptable but not impressive.
- TamaraGkikas (8/5): Really nice one night stay - We stayed at Majdan hotel for one night during our road trip from Greece. We were traveling with an 8 month old baby, so it was important to us that the room is clean and not noisy. Upon our arrival there was a baby cot prepared for our baby, although we had a traveling bed, so I found this to be a nice gesture from the hotel. Our room was really nice, new with a nice furniture and really clean. It was quiet, so we had a good sleep, although I saw the next morning there were people coming for the wedding, so I guess that many weekends there are parties there and there is no sleep for guests.
One minus was the breakfast. I expected the self service with the variety of foods, but there wasn't anything like that. There was a waiter (very kind and polite) and we had to order food from a breakfast menu, that was very poor and we had to wait for almost half an hour to get the food. The explanation was that there are not enough guests in the hotel and that it doesn't pay off to serve the food.
- 360askj (2/5): Our worst nights in a hotel - A really bad experience.
I normally don't write about hotels, as they only fulfill a few simple purposes; they need to be clean and give me a good night’s sleep. If they have several stars I would expect them to grant an extra service such as a great breakfast or something else. This hotel had 4 stars, but they failed to accomplish the very basics of what a hotel should offer – in short, it was the worst hotel experience I (and my pregnant girlfriend) have ever had. Here is a short resume.
We stayed at Hotel Majdan for 4 nights in total. The first night was fine, but he second night when we got home from a day of sightseeing around 22:30 PM I saw people arriving. I asked the reception if something was going on, and yes, there would be an eighteenth birthday party that night. I laughed slightly and asked when it would finish, at around 24:00, maybe 01:00. I was kind of upset as the music was extremely loud in our room, it was, in terms of sound levels, like a minor party with live music in our room. At 01:05 (music still very loud) I rang down and asked what was going on and the receptionist said the party might go on a bit. I was bewildered, had never experienced anything like this in a hotel. Our walls were like paper and we could hear everything. Imagine how it sounds when 18 year olds are getting together and speaking together outside the door… alongside Balkan live music. This continued… we went down to the reception every hour, again at 02:00, yelling at 03:00, crying at 04:00 and finally being able to sleep at 04:30 when the music stopped – the worst hotel-night of our lives.
The breakfast was nothing special, but that was sort of irrelevant at this point in time. We complaint and got a discount for the following two nights (it is important to note that it was very expensive to shift hotels for the weekend in Belgrade, so we wanted to stay if possible) and the receptionist promised that there would be no more parties till after 23:00 and of course she apologized heavily.
The third night was fine.
The fourth night I will not describe in details, but let us just say that when we got home at 22:50, 10 minutes before the music was supposed to stop, the receptionist apologized and said the music would continue till 23:30/24:00. I didn’t know what to say. At 02:10 the music stopped, around an hour before we had to get up to make it to the airport. There was no compensation.
In short, the worst hotel experience ever and on top of all this the receptionist was being very inpolite trying to explain to me why I should not be complaining; “hey, you are young, why do you bother, it is only music”, “Hey man, money talks, they have paid extra, what shall I do?”, “Personally… I will not do anything” – you probably get the picture.
- christinao90 (8/5): Great staff - We arrived late a Sunday night and there had been a weeding at the hotel. But we got checked in amideatly and went to sleep directly. There were a big comfy bed in the room, a nice and really modern bathroom. The breakfast was nice and when we checked out we got some great tips and suggestion what to do and see in Serbia. I believe that the staff made our stay, nice, helpful and a big smile on their face.
- AnnaPascal (10/5): Great hotel - We stayed at this hotel for two days during a trip in Serbia. It was true value for money. The check in was very smooth and the staff was friendly and explained everything. The hotel and room is very clean, rooms are nice just big enough to feel comfortable. Nice shower and lots of international tv channels. Breakfast was ok, minimum variety, just the basics however the quality was good. The service at the restaurant was very good with friendly English speaking staff. Overall it was a great stay in a very clean and nice hotel. Highly recommendable
