Guest Reviews
- Cliff (8/5): -
- Russell (6/5): Basic but good value - Good value and location. No remote control for the TV. Under the bed has never been vacuumed.
- Sherie Estelle (8/5): -
- Robert (5/5): Agreeable - Cleanliness The stairs!!!
- David (5/5): - Not flashy but good enough for overnight
- Isaiah (4/5): - Close to city Bathroom was not clean,
- Jose Ricardo (9/5): Local ótimo pra passar 1 noite - Estava tudo limpo e no lugar a Cortina do banheiro não estava boa sugiro um box localização excelente perto do Porto e do mirante da cidade Colocar box no banheiro
- Thomas (8/5): -
- Samuelu (5/5): good - location is good suppose to clean everyday but not entirely
- Leo Brychta (5/5): A sleepless night at a disappointing 'lodge' - The mattress was comfortable We booked a double room - There was no staff on site whatsoever to check you in/out or help with anything. There's a phone number you have to call to gain an access code to get your key. There was really loud shouting/stomping and running through corridors throughout the night presumably caused my drunk youths which meant we only got maybe 4 hours of sleep when we had a 5 hour drive the next morning. I even tried to contact staff but to no avail - absolutely no surveillance of the property at night or even during the day sadly. The room was quite small and the bathroom light had a mind of its own and just turned on/off as it pleased. The state of the building at the front really made us feel uneasy from the start. It isn't what the pictures look like. A really disappointing stay sadly.
- Bethany (10/5): -
- Reon (2/5): - Close to airport. Place was falling apart and not as the pictures online.Shower was broken and leaking.
- BelTopper Chai (6/5): - Location within CBD Unpleasant smell in the room
- micaela (5/5): -
- Karen (4/5): -
- Rebecca (5/5): Location made it worthwhile- but would not book again. - Location to the CBD was great. The cleaning staff we met were great in helping us with extra towels and pillows. The bath was not clean and had hairs still in it. Glass on balcony door was smashed and so didn’t close properly. There were some flies/bugs coming from the sink in the bathroom. The chrome cast would not work properly and Netflix could not connect. There was only a single plate in the room, but the room was to hold 3pax (there were two of us… but still only 1 plate).
- NICHOLSON (10/5): ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ACCOMADATION !!! - AMAZING FRIENDLY 🧡 STAFF EXTREMELY CLEAN / VERY COMFORTABLE BED.
& SHOW WAS LOVELY & HOT
- Emilie (1/5): Never again. Window didn’t shut, rotten wood in the bathroom. Photos online deceiving. - The location was awesome The window in our room didn’t even shut, the bathroom was old, mouldy and all the wood was rotting
- Lagalaga (8/5): -
- Chris (5/5): -
- Claudia (7/5): - Location The parking, car park is quite compact so best to be travelling in a small vehicle.
- Dean (10/5): Location, Location, Location - The location was perfect. 2 minutes walk to Courtnay Place. Comfortable beds, great bathrooms. Would happily stay there again. Some parts of the hotel were dated, but it was clean and tidy and didn't detract from the overall visit.
- Kelly (6/5): For the price it was everything you expected - Location and price, shower pressure was amazing and decorations were cool The door between bedroom and toilet Keating coming off so hard to open and close
- Jacqueline (1/5): A nightmare - the room has mold, was very dusty, wallpaper coming off the walls, the bathroom has mold, plaster coming off the wall. The shower basin has a crack and the corner also has mold.
The old carpet gets sprayed with air freshener and also has mold.
I straight away asked for a different room but was told that they were fully booked and that I could have a different room on the last night. They did hover and dusted the room but of course it should have been done before I checked in. That evening I went online to find a different place to go to but because it was a special weekend and already evening I had to spend the night.
The next morning I woke up with a full blown allergy attack, I had to get out of this place and did that afternoon.
- Andrew (4/5): An experience. - Location close to a lively part of town. Free Wifi. Parking affordable. Shops and cafes within easy reach. Noisy neighbours, front desk never attended, no laundry detergent available even to purchase, the only staff member didn’t really understand the requirement. The bathroom was poorly ventilated, only a single noisy fan that you felt shouldn’t be left on longer than necessary. Room felt damp and sheets were cold and damp when first getting into bed. The driveway from the street was very narrow and steep. Front and rear door always unlocked so the simple push button locks on room doors were the only security. Some evidence of mould on door jambs. Shower heat control amazingly poor, easy to get scalding hot water out but not easy to get a reasonable temperature and pressure. A steep stairway to rooms from reception with mouldy smell. Door at the top that opens onto the stairway, quite dangerous to anyone with limited agility.
- Richie (2/5): - Literally everything just broke it was lwk bullshit
- Martin (8/5): -
- James (4/5): -
- Smith (5/5): - Comfortable beds Small compared to the pictures
- Jordan (1/5): We didn’t end up staying as I got nervous about the reviews on google saying there’s bed bugs. -
- Ula (4/5): Great location, comfy enough but could’ve been better - Location was perfect. Our bed was comfy and huge. The body wash/shampoo dispenser was out, the water pressure was good but it was not hot, wasn’t even warm except for moments. The house smelled like weed and was dark, curtains were broken.
- Praveen (9/5): -
- Tim (7/5): -
- graeme (6/5): - I have stayed with you for the last 5 or 6 years mainly about this time. I travel on the ferry and I like the closeness to the terminal. I normally stay two nights but circumstances this time dictated just the one night. I like the large hotel over the road for a meal and a drink. See you next year.
- Peter (3/5): - Great location When I went to have a shower the shower head (at end of flexible hose) was not secured as the holder had been broken by a previous resident. This problem should have been addressed before renting us the room. After complaining we were given another room with a working shower.
- Sandoval (8/5): - that everything was clean, and the peace and quiet. The shower head in the bathroom fell off when you turned on the water... everything else was fine.
- JianPing Liu (1/5): I was so regret for booked this motel. - There is nothing I could say for about this place. This is the worst Motel I have ever stayed in my life. The room is dirty, carpet too old with some smell. Beds are toooo soft. See the picture showing a lot of dust & spider web on the wall lamp.
- ruhul (5/5): - the staff is friendly their shared kitchen is dirty
- Coraly (1/5): -
- Azam (6/5): Good - Room needs more cleaning.
- Nick Reid (8/5): -
- Ales (4/5): Unclean, dirty, everything old, not maintained. The bed was of good quality - location, peace Unclean, dirty, everything old, not maintained. The bed was of good quality
- Colin (6/5): Need to clean better .Had a shower and tray filling up with dirty water because trap not cleaned - Comfortable bed Cleaning maintenance
- Maria (6/5): - The location was within walking distance of the waterfront which was a priority for us. The weather was great and we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were a good size for our needs. The kitchenette was a bit basic for our requirements. However the bathroom was spacious...
- Joshua (3/5): -
- Robert (7/5): - Great water pressure in the shower and the location and price for central city was great
- ross (3/5): - Horrible perfume smell in the rooms, was very uncomfortable on the nose and left bad taste in mouth. Very overpowering.
- Claudia (7/5): Great location close to Courtney Place and Cuba Street but the parking was/is hideous for big cars or trucks 👍🏽 - Location Parking
- Eric (5/5): - Good location, has carpark Carpark is not enough for weekends. Room is a bit old and not very clean.
- James (7/5): - Comfy bed, basic necessities Damage to the place- needs repairs.
- Mark (1/5): Traumatic - Nothing Absolutely terrible customer service. Did not answer their phone or messages and did not get access to our room. We arrived around 2pm and only heard back from staff around 9pm. At this point we had already found alternative accommodation to avoid cyclone weather. Worst experience we have EVER had! Do not book here.
- Matt (6/5): Location is this place number 1 best friend! - Friendly staff helped as much as they could. Location is prime for any events on the waterfront or access to Main streets such as Courtney place and Cuba street. The rooms need a renovation and a bit of a spruce up. Just seems old and weathered.
- kyla (7/5): - The location is superb and you get what you pay for which was just average Staff or reception was not very accessible went to reception a couple times and no one was there so the only real communication you can have with them is through the phone and even then it’s very hard to communicate. Also no tv remote where our room was.
- Mildenhall (1/5): Disappointed - The location was good and conveniently close to the city centre. Our room smelt terribly of smoke to the point of feeling ill because of it and the fridge froze all our food. There was hair in the bath and the water had a strange taste and smell. It also sounded like there were some rodents that visited during the night. It was not a great experience.
- Lily (1/5): -
- Debbie-Jo (1/5): Unclean, leaking ceiling, minimal crockery and we would never return. - The beds in Room 41 were comfortable and more stable than in other rooms. Some areas appeared to have been recently renovated. The location was reasonably convenient. I would not recommend staying here and wish we had chosen elsewhere. Cleanliness and maintenance were consistently poor, with dirty crockery, dust, mould in the bathroom, and a strong musty smell. There were multiple issues including a leaking roof, swollen door frames, non-working lights, minimal kitchen supplies, and significant noise between rooms, making the stay very uncomfortable. They upgraded us to a different room, but the same uncleanliness standards were there.
- Larry (1/5): I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending this to my family and friends. - None Everything
- Don (3/5): - There was mou;ld on the bathroom window.
Manager/Owner was intransigent and disinterested when we phoned to say that to avoid the Credit Card surcharge we would pay by eftpos on arrival or by online banking immediately which was over a week before our booking. I suspect this is in breach of ether Fair Trading or Financial Services Authority regulations or even both and draw it to your attention. We request that the surcharge amount be refunded to our credit card. Better checking in procedure - our arrival seemed to be handled by a member of the cleaning staff.
Had there been reception staff it my have overcome our error in not correctly booking for two nights as we thought we had.
- Stay47253606493 (2/5): Unclean, leaky ceiling, will not return - I would not recommend staying here and wish we had chosen elsewhere.
- Sam (3/5): - The floor is unclean. not suitable to stay with kids.
- Huang (2/5): - Honestly the bed was okay and the customer service was very well Must admit the room it was rotting away not sure how it is even in a livable condition to be very fair. When me and my friend went in it stunk so bad and we were going to put the bottle in the fridge for some cold water and then we saw the mold on the fridge which then we decided not to and the fridge stunk so bad. You definitely need a new fridge and clean better in that place
- Atzei (5/5): - centrale pulizia
- Salem (8/5): -
- Ruessi (1/5): - Nicht wirklich etwas, so verstehe ich die 5.7 Dito
- Seiloni (4/5): -
- Alli (6/5): - The bathroom was private. The room was comfortable and clean. It was close to the CBD. The price was really good. They offered a service where you could leave your bags there if there was a big time gap between check out and the flights out of Wellington, and this was great once communication was established ... but getting them to communicate was a little difficult. The lack of communication. They have a habit of not answering the phone, and when they did answer they didn't really listen to what I was asking. They need an on location map of the facilities to help find the rooms easier.
- Renee (5/5): -
- Radovan (1/5): - the room was damp and smelled like one week wet socks
- Tania (8/5): GOOD SERVICE FOR A VERY GOOD PRICE -
- Alan (2/5): - The location My room do not book room 14 ...right next the the main door to go upstairs noisy asf all through the night..
- mercy (5/5): - Price Parking
- David (3/5): Back to the 60s - Well it was cheap so I suppose you get what you pay for good location. The room had a musty smell but your nose got used to it I suppose until you went out and came back in again ,Stevie Wonder could see the whole place needed a good clean as for the decor it was like a back to the 1960s museum experience ,the TV had to be unplugged to enable use of the kettle ,the window had curtains but there was a side window that had no curtain so subsequently light flooded in in the morning .Oh and the microwave didnt work and there was never anyone on reception to tell .It was like Fawlty Towers without a waiter or cleaner .The sink in the bathroom was badly cracked.
- Jacob (5/5): - Emplacement Poubelle rouillée salle de bain
Fenêtre sur ruelle sans lumière
- Jeremy (6/5): - Simple but comfortable Not much sound-proofing
- Jason (8/5): - I did see a cockroach near the bed which is never a great mark of cleanliness or comfort. They had also forgotten to give me a towel in the room, besides this overall good cheap accomodation for a late night out in Wellington and about what you'd expect for the price.
- KEN (8/5): Good - Location, parking and price Nothing
- brandonwO9181LF (6/5): Nothing bad - Great location. Room was small but it done the trick, it was clean, had a fridge and private bathroom. There was no cutlery in the kitchen and the plates etc were dirty but there is plenty food choices about. Staff were really friendly aswel
- nigel (6/5): -
- Yuan (3/5): Not feel welcome by the owner, and bring stress to us - Has Netflix and good location Honestly won't go back again, no reception in the desk and the reception on phone quite rude on the frist date said is no car park for us when we arrive even half hour early before 2pm check in (although place said frist arrive, frist serve) and we paid and still force to take credit card and photo id, really ruin our holiday frist day mood without carpark. Even if they tell us 1 hour later have extra carpark now, we take lots of stess find car park in other place already, so don't want to use this motel car park any more And the room is dirty, don't mind the room small, but no one clean all the corner area.
- Dennis (9/5): -
- Scott (8/5): - Good stay at a lower priced accomodatuon. Good and fast communication.
- Grant (3/5): Wouldn’t even bother wasting $$ - Location and that’s it The fact that when checking in the receptionist said parking is $15 and there is only 1 park left, Go to park there after midnight and no parking at all. Forced to park on the road. Hit her up this morning upon check out and was told I should have rung to notify. How am I ment to - she said the number is there on the wall another thing she failed to mention upon checkin that the reception area is open over night but unmanned.
Cleanliness of the room was meh! Clearly they doing repair work in the bathroom, clearly the bathroom was not clean as per pic. The premise rubbish skips located right outside the bathroom, smell like someone had a dump and didn’t flush.
Upon checkout, reeked of arrogance and walked away which escalated me further and a higher voice, Unprofessional
- Morton (8/5): -
- Julieanne (7/5): - Location Lower standard than pics show, still clean and warm 😀
- Jacqui (8/5): -
- Xiaoqing (7/5): -
- Charles (5/5): Cheap, you get what you pay for. Fine for a night - It’s is a central city location and is cheap. Clean sheets with a fridge which was nice. BIG building site next door that starts noisy work at 7.30am. Needed to get up early anyway so didn’t mind. Decor was dated and needed a lick of paint but wasn’t as dirty as some reviews have made out. Not much parking space but there is street parking which is free from 8pm to 8am but is about $5 and hour 8am to 8pm.
- Colin (3/5): - The locian The room had no couch and a funny smell even tho I booked a carpark I was told on arrival there wasn't one for me and also there was 2 groups having parties and making alot of noise well into the night
- Ancel (8/5): -
- Ken (7/5): -
- Charles (10/5): - We booked multiple rooms. Easy check-in. Easy to extend date. Spacious rooms. Location is fantastic!!Thank you!! Loved everything
- Charles (10/5): - Nice big room! Best beds ever that you sink into! Big bathrooms. Excellent location. Close to everything.
- Charles (10/5): - Easy check in service! The room was so spacious. Loved how big the bathroom was! Plenty of carpark. Unsure what people meant about it being tight. There was plenty of space to go in and out. Definitely will stay here next time in Wellington Nothing
- Rochele (6/5): -
- Tanith (10/5): - Wonderful for short term visits Nice, cheap, clean
- Emelie (2/5): - The location is great, right in town. The cleanliness of the place is shocking. They have taken on feedback that the walls and ceiling are stained and painted everything but now there's paint on the curtains and on the tiles of the bathroom, just no care what so ever. There was a couple of socks and a couple of cans and a bottle hiding under one of the beds from previous guests, they stayed there the whole visit of 5 days room service did pick up on it. On a more minor note the coffee, sugars etc was never topped up during our stay and we had to ask for extra from one of the cleaners as reception was never open. Over all it was not the cheapest place we could have picked for our visit and we was hoping for more. The pictures are nice but not representative.
- Jacob (4/5): - The floor hadn't been moped in forever my sons feet after moving around in the room were black after a short time
- Crichton (8/5): Great stay but maintenance needed. - The location was great and the rooms were really good for the amount we paid. Room service were great with replacing towels and other appliances. Would stay here again if needed. One of the rooms we booked which was indoors of the reception area had the staunch smell of cigarettes which filled the hallways but that could be fixed by having a door open at all times to air out the facility. Parking here is difficult if you have a car bigger than a 5 seater. We arrived late and had to make our own park after paying $30 to park for 2 nights which I don’t think was necessary considering we had to make our own park rather than having an assigned spot as we thought when paying this “parking fee”.
