• Lyla (5/5): Si, me gustó la estancia pero si me hubiera gustando un poco más limpio. - Me gustó la hubicacion, me gustó la alberca y poder caminar hacia la playa. En la habitación tenía un olor a drenaje, cerramos la puerta del baño pero aún salía el olor. El baño no está muy limpio y la cama tenía pelo y poco de polvo.

• Deborah (3/5): Overall, the experience was disappointing, with poor service, unresolved issues, and a lack of basic standards expected - It’s ok for business, if you don’t care location On the day of check-in, within 30 minutes of being in the room, we had to contact reception due to a persistent leak noise that made it impossible to rest. As the issue could not be resolved, we were moved to another room. Unfortunately, during the move, I left a dress behind the bathroom door, which I only realized the following day while packing, as we were scheduled to check out shortly after. When I reported the missing dress to the receptionist, she mentioned that she would follow up and provided a WhatsApp number for further communication instead of contacting me directly in the room or responding to our calls to reception. She also encouraged me to submit a report via an external email address (not a Marriott contact), explaining that missing items from rooms were a recurring issue. I reached out to the WhatsApp number but never received any response. In the new room, we encountered additional issues with the hot water, which was not functioning properly. Throughout these incidents, there were no managers or responsible staff available to address our concerns in a timely or effective manner. The breakfast experience was also disappointing. The selection was very limited, service was inconsistent, and there were no proper plates or cutlery—only disposable, takeaway-style utensils were provided. Additionally, tables were not being cleared or cleaned by staff, and guests were seemingly expected to manage this themselves.

Puedes caminar desde ahí para llegar a cualquier restaurante del Malecón aunque los restaurantes y bares más bonitos están aproximadamente a 1km. No están inmediatos, el beneficio es que no hay ruido y queda fácil la entrada y salida en vehículo. El desayuno está muy bien, vale la pena tomar el desayuno de la mañana. Es muy completo

Arreglaron el área de jardín y alberca, pero no lo limpian, les falta personal. 😒.

• Carlos (8/5): - Rooms have plenty of space and its easy to set yourself up. Overall the hotel was very clean and staff was very attentive. Plenty of parking so I never had to worry about space. Very close to a lot of the attractions. Walls are thinner than I'd like could hear people upstairs and walking/talking on the hall. No room service till after 4pm and menu was very limited. They had bar by the pool but never saw anyone working behind it.

• Jennifer (6/5): Serviceable, but won't be back - We chose this hotel for the location (on the edge of town, quiet, closer to nice beaches) and the value. It was serviceable for our needs and quite clean. There was no hot water available several days we were there (which made showering ... uncomfortable), and no filtered water was available for long stretches in either the dining room or the gym. These felt like dealbreakers, so we'd probably stay elsewhere next time in La Paz.
• Jose (8/5): Un buen hotel con las mejores condiciones - Disfruté muchísimo alojarme en este hotel. El personal fue super amable, la habitación era cómoda, grande, limpia y tenía todo lo necesario para disfrutar mi estancia. El desayuno también super completo. No disfruté la piscina, ni muchos otros servicios pero tenía todo muy buena pinta. No es algo que no me gustó pero, por decir algo, deberías saber que no es un hotel céntrico. Yo tenía coche y para mi no fue un problema.

La persona de limpieza se llevó las toallas y tapete de baño y no los repuso. Yo dejé colgada la toalla para que no la lavaran pero al parecer el hotel no tiene prácticas de ahorro de agua, lo que es increíble tratándose de una zona desértica. Les falta capacitación.

El hotel está muy apartado, el desayuno es muy escaso, en la piscina la gente está con su propias bebidas, con su altavoz, si buscas descansar y relajarte este no es tu sitio.

• José Manuel (8/5): City Express by Marriott La Paz Xhema - la ubicación es perfecta, sin duda tengo hospedajes muy seguidos en el lugar, sin embargo el desayuno, es el mismo todoso los días, por lo que valdría la pena considerar un par de alternativas más de integración de comida o preparación, para hacer más completa la variedad. N/A todo es bueno y casi perfecto para tener semanas de hospedaje en el lugar.

• Ron (8/5): - Property is in a good location. The area itself was quiet. The hotel was a little noisy because of the guests that were also staying there (triathlon in La Paz). The rooms were really clean and updated. Staff were friendly and helpful. The property was getting some upgrades that were under construction and will no doubt make the property much more desirable to stay at. We would stay here again and would recommend this property.

• Tom (6/5): - Stayed for one quick night in La Paz as we travelled further up the Baja Penisula. Hotel was ok, queen beds were smaller than Marriott standard. Property was under some construction/renovation, staff was very nice and helpful, breakfast was good. The terms spartan simplicity best describes this property, on the lower end of Marriott standards. I would stay here again if no other arrangements were available, but would get a room with minimum 2 queen beds if you want a good nights sleep.

• PhattyBuumbuum81 (10/5): Great value stay - Is this a 5 star hotel? No. Is this hotel a great value and newly renovated? Yes! Booked this property through capital one to use up my travel credit. I had read some not so great reviews but since learning the hotel had been recently renovated(I think they are still working on it), we decided to go for it. The location is not bad. It’s about 2km from the very center of town. The malecon (boardwalk) goes by the hotel so you could easily walk, bike, rollerblade into town. Upon check in we were upgraded (Bonvoy member). With the superior room. We had a queen bed and fold down sofa bed(no bars or springs) We also had a kitchenette area with sink,fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. I will add that while there is no closet, there is a hanging bar, a wall mounted shelf, several hanging hooks and abundant counter/ desk space. We had 3 people in the room and we had enough room for all of our stuff. The bathroom sink seemed a little dated, but the shower and toilet were new and seemed to be water saving models. We could see the ocean but we could also see all the cast offs from the renovation job. The pool is nice Nd even the umbrellas are new. Breakfast is included and consisted of: 2 types of fresh fruit that changed daily 2 types of cheese Sliced ham and turkey Corn flakes and Frosted Flakes Plain and strawberry yogurt Cottage cheese Assorted bread and pastries Scrambled eggs Refried beans Fresh salsa Tortilla chips Cheese , cream, cilantro and onions They also had brewed coffee as well as a machine to make espresso. For the ~$150/night this really is a solid hotel and leaves you lots of money for other fun stuff on your vacation.

The front desk clerk recommended we park around back which was even worse. The pool was closed due to maintenance. Definitely something we would never have associated with the name Marriot. I’ve stayed in better Super 8’s. On top of all that our credit card was changed 3 times for the booking.

I suffer from Tinnitus and the mini split was practically vibrating from such much noise and it was not cooling. They moved us to another room, that AC was quiet but never cooled. After spending 3-4 hours waiting… I decided to speak to the manager about leaving. As I stated he was very professional and apologetic but I could not sleep in a hot room.

Free breakfast included. Blackout curtains. Beach right in next to the hotel. La Calavera (to watch the sunset) right in front of the hotel. Very friendly staff. The AC was loud. TV wasn’t working well, both picture and sound were fuzzy. Smell of paint (due to the ongoing renovations).

Room was tiny and ac was very low so it took several hours to cool off. No fan in bathroom. Beds were hard but pillows ok. Not all lights worked. Free breakfast was barely adequate but the coffee was great! I recommend staying at a local hotel. Not good for the price.
