Guest Reviews
- Katie (10/5): - Lovely staff and very good spot if you are wanting to go into the centre of Apia via a short walk. Plenty of shops just down the road. It does say paid wifi on the amenities but it is not available. Staff are knowledgeable about good spots for visitors. Only problem we had were the stained sheets but other than that, we had a great stay and would recommend.
- Glenn (8/5): - Fantastic hospitality. No wifi, but it’s not listed as having it available. Comfortable bed, fantastic for the price.
- Melanie (8/5): - The room was nice the bed comfortable. The garden is beautiful. The staff were very helpful and very nice.
- Josaphine (8/5): - Mara & team were great & friendly. Room was very clean & towels replaced daily. Location of property also very convenient & close to main Apia town. Would definitely stay there again.
- Constantin (10/5): - Very nice people nice rooms nice food
- Adrienne (6/5): - Nice hotel if you’re staying in Apia on a budget. Within walking distance to restaurants and some shops. Just a few things to be aware of that caught us off guard. The check in desk is only open for limited hours. My booking information said the desk is open until 4pm, but it closed at 3pm. We made it just in time. You will need 100 tala cash at check in for your security deposit as they don’t accept credit card for the deposit. We were also charged 50 tala for “services” of breakfast and housekeeping, which was not listed in my booking info. I initially paid this, but after looking through all my booking information again to confirm that this charge was not listed to be paid at the hotel, I did ask for it back. We were only staying 2 nights and did not require our room to be serviced during our stay, and the breakfast was listed as free in both the booking and a follow up message. Overall, rooms were clean and the surrounding the hotel is quiet.
- Kelsey (10/5): - This hotel was absolutely wonderful. The staff are all very nice and welcoming. Complimentary breakfast with a couple of options so you can choose what you’d like is great. It’s very quiet at night, but still close enough to downtown to walk. Check-in is super easy. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it.
- Alice F (6/5): - They need to replace show curtains, replace current towels - some of the towels had past stains even though they were unused. The area had things to do, and we kept busy, but the building itself needs updates to better serve customers. The staff was definitely amazing, high spirited, polite, and friendly.
- TALALEU (10/5): - The service at Le Alaimoana was the Best ever!
The Staff was incredible and so lovely… rooms always immaculate and fresh towels provided everyday! Even have a night security….. My Go to place in Samoa…. Well recommended to everyone
- Emily-Anne (6/5): - Although short staffed during the stay (which did have some noticeable impacts), staff were very friendly and helpful.
- SIONE (2/5): - The service is very bad they ripped us off with their cost of Laundry . Very small
Laundry they charge us $100 and the washing is very dirty not smelling and not dry with the amount of money they charged
- Racheal (10/5): - The property was nice, handy to where we needed to meet for conference. Room was nice, just right for us - clean & always serviced by the amazing ladies. If you want somewhere quiet, here was good.
- Jean (10/5): - This was our first time stay
- TALALEU (10/5): - Well recommended to All, will definitely be booking again! Thank you Team Le Alaimoana
- Siniva (10/5): - Replenish daily essentials - toilet paper rubbish cover, air con remote. But highly recommended.
Thank you Alaimoana
- Tevita (10/5): - lovely staff, very caring
- Jessie (10/5): - I like that is located in the heart of downtown capital Apia, easy accessibility to shopping areas, but has a feeling of seclusion nestled amongst trees, beautiful garden as if it is in the countryside, when it is in the town/city.
- Alexander (10/5): - The staff are amazing, peaceful and calm surrounds and close to ammenities
- linleyblenheimNZ (2/5): VERY VERY UNLOVED - This hotel is sadly very unloved. The photos are a lie. Firstly no microwave, no Tea Bags, No drinking glasses, The jug did not turn off automatically, no knob on the Fan control, the curtain broken from its header and dangling loose, the Shower base very dirty. We attempted to bring these things to the attention of the receptionist when we left but she was apparently in town. We could not find the owner. Yes one has to make allowances for Samoan hospitality but too many issues. A little TL:C and attention to details would once again restore this to a nice place to stay. Maybe we will check it out the next time we come. Fingered crossed it will have improved.
- Tatupu (8/5): - Everything was great! It was only the time the pool closes, it was not it! I wanted to swim late night but it closes at 6 lol. But so far, everything was great!
- Jet791258 (10/5): Friendly and Close to Apia City - Really beautiful tall mature tropical plants on whole property. Very nice outdoor eating area and pool. Close to Apia City and very cheap to get there by taxi. Free delicious continental breakfast served by the very pleasant Cook who always had a smile on her face. The unit had air conditioning, ceiling fan, tv, shower, dble bed, table and chairs and fridge with tea/coffee making facilities. Everything was working. I did meet the owner, Mara, however I mostly had contact with the Manager Anne who was always very professional and could be relied on to get the job done. I felt that Anne and her Team were exceptional and always went that extra mile. I would recommend this as a very good hotel to stay in if you are looking for somewhere close to Apia City which also has a lovely outside area to relax in and excellent customer service.
- Eunice (10/5): - The hospitality was exceptional, we felt right at home. The room was spacious and parking was available 24/7. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable safe place
- Marlis (2/5): - The hotel is far from a holiday accommodation place.
The room was very smelly, the BO of the previous guests could be smelled outside through the open window. The sheets were stained - probably washed but still not clean. We decided to move to some other place.
The place is older which is not a problem - if only it was cared for and properly cleaned.
- Jeff (8/5): - Good basic motel style accommodation.
- Arnaud (8/5): - Staff is super friendly.
Good location
- Philo (8/5): - Nice quiet atmosphere…
- Iakopo (10/5): - Close to shop and good location
- Marina (4/5): - Cleaners were friendly but the overall state if our room was abysmal
- Samantha (8/5): - This place is very clean compared to many other hotels in Samoa. Pool is nice. Hotel location is about 10 minutes from the town.
Breakfast is okay but you can't rely on that. Last week they did not have eggs. They provided baked beans and bread.
You need be aware that they go into your room while you are not there and turn the AC off.
- Ruta (10/5): - The staff were so lovely and the breakfast service was so convenient. Such a lovely stay for a short trip. Thank you so much Lē Alaimoana.
- Caroline (6/5): - There was a list of food on the menu but nothing was available accept one dish and it was very expensive - that was dinner. Was very disappointing.
- theresatN9917VU (8/5): Simple and lovely hotel - Good stay for what we needed, if you’re after a resort type of stay then book elsewhere but this spot did the job and the bed was super comfy! Service was lovely, breakfast was free and simple yet delicious. Also got a free smoothie which was perfect for our morning. If you need a night somewhere or in between stays then I recommend this place. It’s near the city and there’s a local shop just around the corner couple of meters away.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Really disappointing. Two days had to chase replacement towels. Breakfast was not good.
- Malama (6/5): - Slow service and poor communication abt the property gate being locked at 10pm.
- Pita and Donna (8/5): - We loved the location and area. Just a few things to help with improvement. The breakfast options and times as it was open too late and not 7am as we start the day early. We didn’t have any face cloths. Overall we loved the place and staff. Thank you.
- 65vaughnp (2/5): Stay Away from this place. - Disgusting. Booked 2 rooms. This was the only place we could find that was available and needed to ve close to town. The bathrooms are dirty. Hair from previous guests scattered around basin and ihside shower. Shower curtain had moss on them, toilet seats worn out. Had jug and cups in rooms but no coffee/tea. The rooms were Loited with insects, specifically ants and island worms. Had a foul smell on arrival. One of our rooms at check in bed was not made up, bathroom had used towels from previous guests. Beds were uncomfortable, two singles pushed together, the base had damaged and are wooden, eaten away by insects.
Breakfast was basic. No love shown or care. Receptionist sour looking. No friendly welcome or approach the entire stay. If you asked for something you were made to feel like a nuisance. One room you needed a stick to turn the air con on. Tvs dont work, no remotes in battery even when mentioned to staff from day 1. We ended up checking out 2 days earlier as housekpeer was my necklace. No concept of hospitality here. I'm surprised this place is sold to people by the liked of 3rd party agents.
- Aito (4/5): - Bad service, dirty towels and not clean
- Maria (10/5): - The quietness and affordable
- Chvlet (6/5): - It was a lovely place! Cosy and accommodating in the sense that it had the necessities, you would need. There is a lot of room for improvement - in regards to updating of the rooms, facility and breakfast options. Other than that, it was a lovely stay.
- Tracey (10/5): - Staff was super nice and helpful
- 443bradh (6/5): Quiet and comfortable - Quiet and peaceful hotel in downtown Apia.
Good location, clean and tidy, with efficient and helpful staff.
Not very busy being the only guest throughout our visit, which worked in our favour so it was a nice little Haven.
Nice leafy and tranquil pool area.
Breakfast and poached eggs were cooked well.
The security staff member seemed to be unnecessary.
My partner is partly disabled and instead of helping with our bags was more interested in getting me to sign documents and worry about the room key, and asked three times to pay for a laundry bill that was paid on delivery of laundry. Other then that the security guard just sat and was overly vigilant which was unnecessary as mentioned before.
This was not really a bother at the end of the day, however the only slight negative component of the stay.
In saying this, the other staff were amazing and helpful. Would recommend if wanting a not fuss quiet stay.
- Talalelei (6/5): - On our first day, The room we booked was very smelly. It smelt of sewage due to the septic tank was left off.
I don’t think they’ve ever used any sort of air fresheners.
We mentioned to the office staff the toilet was draining down slowly, when being flushed.
Response from staff they’l turn the septic tank on now, but that I must mention to their security person to turn it off when he shows up at the hotel.
I had no intention of mentioning it to their security person as it was not my responsibility, furthermore we did not want to return back to a stinky room, after being out all day.
There were also a lot of worms on the flooring in the room, and in the bathroom.
We had to clean it up ourselves.
The woven table placemat on the table in our room looked like it has never been wiped clean, you can tell from drink spillages on it from previous people, what their cleaners did was turn it over to a side u can’t see dirty marks, laziness.
The toilet was very filthy and so is their toilet brushes.
Looks like they’ve never been replaced with new ones ever!
No mini shampoo, or mini conditioner or hand soaps for guests, most hotels prepare these for their guests.
You had to turn the air conditioner off/on by using a stick, probably they’re saving costs to not purchase another remote for it.
I’ve got to say the bed was made. And the Mattress was comfy, other than that nothing special about this place, would not stay here again.
- pearla (4/5): - “King” size bed was 2 twin beds pushed together. A lot of bugs inside the room. Bathroom light did not work. Best thing about this place is the free delicious breakfasts, hot water & A/C. Staff is friendly too. Unfortunately the rooms are not worth the price…. Will not be coming back.
- Iapela (2/5): - The room was so many bugs where my daughter was meant to sleep, sheet were smelly and the couch was broken. Shower curtain was dirty. We didn’t even spent a night there
- Regina (10/5): - Lovely place, staff friendly, the lovely lady that cooked the meals was awesome, she was there from breakfast to then end of dinner, sad we left early in the morning so couldn’t thank her, but she always made sure our meals were lovely 😊
- Sarah (8/5): - Really enjoyed our stay here. The room was exactly what we needed. It was comfortable and clean. Location is great, staff friendly, affordable rates and the only negative (on my part) is that I didnt swim in the pool or take advantage of the continental breakfast which I'll definitely do next time. Thanks for an awesome stay! Will be definitely be back
- Lnl (10/5): - Really enjoyed our 5nights so peaceful and quiet the staff were so humble. It was safe and secure with parking and no one to bother you. I will be booking again with them. Really enjoyed my stay
- Elenoa (10/5): - Friendly staff yet at times are not available for assistance. Overall great place for family stay and cleanliness.
- Lucy (8/5): - Great staff...they put up with my requests...accommodated my needs..Thank You especially to staff there..Merry Christmas and Happy Festive Season Le Alaimoana staff...enjoyed my stay..Thank You and the Security Guard too..Thank You.
- Sophia (8/5): - Nice place & clean although we had to put the rubbish out for it to be emptied daily. Floors weren't cleaned or mopped on a daily either. The price of the food is over the top. Best to eat in town. Microwave didn't work.
- Tali (10/5): - Everything was good, staff, complimentary breakfast, the location was a hide out , but is close to everything like gas station, grocery store, and restaurant. Even the security guard was awesome
- Lucy (8/5): - The staff were really nice...friendly and they were under staffed but did good.
- kahautam (6/5): Worth the money - The room was sufficiently well furnished with bed table and two chairs. There is a working fridge, too. Surprisingly enough, the shower served hot water, which is not guaranteed in South Pacific hotels. Air conditioning is very powerful.
Once again walls were paper-thin and you could hear discussions in the next room.
The place is a bit out of town, and walking distance to downtown takes around 15 minutes. Taxi becomes handy and they are quite cheap.
Their continental breakfast is of good value with staple toast and coffee topped up with eggs, fruits and a fresh fruit smoothie.
There was a problem in checking in at 5 am. There was supposed to be a guard on duty to let me into my room, but nooooo. There was no one at the gate but the gate was left open. I waited at empty reception for an half an hour when a lady rushed downstairs from a room - perhaps she was enjoying a well earned rest.
- Paul (10/5): - We had a wonderful time staying here. Would definitely stay again. Thank you 😊
- Antonia (8/5): - You get what you pay for. Rooms are on the smaller side. No coffee in the rooms, huge bummer. Free breakfast is just wheatbix and coffee. The staff was not very knowledgeable about certain things but friendly. Pool was ok. With the amount flying insects, it is hard to keep it clean so thats understandable. Overall, if on a tight budget, I'd recommend it.
- Aleki (10/5): - Friendly staff. Dining area - comfortable & cool. Convenient parking & close tp town.
- Zeema (10/5): - The staffs were so nice and welcoming and very informative
- Kameria (4/5): - Property was ok
Pool needs to be cleaned every day.
Room was just standard.
Bathroom small as.
Overall not worth 230 tala a night
- Keith (8/5): Affordable and close to town - We had seen a few bad reviews but our stay was actually quite good. Staff were friendly and happy to fix anything that needed attention. Don't expect the 'Sheraton' when you're only paying 1/5 the price.
- Jacque (10/5): - Great service.
Great location
- Daniel (10/5): - I arrived at 2:30am due to a late flight arrival. Security let me in and also checked me into and escorted me to my room. They have a gate that closes I believe at 11pm. The staff are very helpful and kind. The area is very quiet. Plenty of parking space and free. The air conditioning worked! Lighting in the room was a bit dim for me. All essentials were present and taken care of.
- Kate (10/5): - It would have been good to have wifi access
- Moira (10/5): - A little gem hidden away in a busy area.
- Audrey (10/5): - We liked the staff and the locality. We were able to interact with the other guests. It was within walking distance of shops and the main town centre.
Rooms were serviced well and were tidy.
- Emma (8/5): - After being closed during covid things are slowly being revamped- staff are helpful, room are comfy and clean and well maintained.
- Dorothy (6/5): - Location was close to my gatherings.
Staff was excellent.
Frig, microwave, teapot, toilet etc are old
No soap & face towel.
Breakfast always same.
No WiFi
Too infrequent room cleaning ( every 4 days?)
- Deanne (6/5): - Handy location!
- Tony (2/5): - Do not go here for business. Only 1 key per room, often nobody on site. No wifi, no breakfast. No dinner after 6pm and no nearby options. They turn off air cond Whedon you leave room, filthy bathroom, no laundry option
- M (6/5): - Thank you for the hospitality and beautiful surroundings.
- 485krishv (6/5): Needs some love - The good: central location, can walk down to marina and around town very easily. Has plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance.
Room was clean and had a tv, fan, good pressure shower. Pool was alright and did the job.
Security guard was very friendly and was great to have a chat with late at night.
The bad: Toilets needed a good service and better maintenance.
Overall the place is fair for what you pay but if don’t expect it to be a place to laze around. A good base to see Apia if you are in a budget.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful chill place 😍 next time will definitely be staying longer & staff was very friendly ☺️
- 792gillianj (2/5): Extremely disappointing - This hotel is memorable for all the wrong reasons.
On arrival reception did not acknowledge us, no samoan smile, we were obviously a bother to them .This attitude was reflected by all staff but the security guard did try to be pleasant.
The whole property was scruffy and had an unkempt look about it.The pool was dirty, green and uninviting. The breakfast tablecloths were stained and consisted of a jar of weetbix we had to find ourselves and a plate that arrived ( no choice ) with two fried eggs small slice pawpaw and single slice toast no toppings.
Room was minimalistic, no soap shampoo. The bed & shower were ok but felt grubby.Toilet seat secure one side only and needed a clean under seat.
We have run Motels for 30 years so have a good understanding of what is expected & accepted in the hospitality industry. This establishment failed miserably.
Plenty of other places to stay in Apia at similar prices that are far better value.
- Donna (4/5): - Advertised as having wi-fi there was none. Advertised as having push bikes ..none.
Swimming pool didn’t look clean.
Rooms not very clean.
On a positive the kitchen lady Louisa was very friendly and helpful. Samoa is a lovely country
- Jamie (4/5): Not value for money - Although I have stayed in similar guesthouses (can't be called a Hotel) around the South Pacific, this one was disappointing. Despite providing flight details in advance, no arrangement was made to collect me. I had to pay cash at the time of ordering food for dinner and I found a long black hair in one of the meals. The promised King bed was two single beds put together. I paid $140 p.n. but it was not worth it.
- Maegan (2/5): - I lost 800USD in this hotel and my colleagues lost 2 branded perfumes and 200 tala, and the owner was not cooperative when we were coordinating this problem with them. The only time my colleague and I leave our bags (with our wallet) are during breakfast time, where we go down for about an hour to have breakfast. But even then we always triple checked to lock the door when we go down since they have a warning on not leaving our things unattended. Only they have access to our rooms for housekeeping since they have the spare keys. Terrible experience.
- Roman (4/5): - Good water pressure. Hot water as well. Centrally located.
- ROMOLO (8/5): - Great location. Lots of ants in the room, the bathroom could do with some Janola cleansing. The white mugs were stained on the inside and it would have been nice to have some teabags and teaspoons ( and cutlery) available in the room.
The breakfast was ok but having more fruit n samoan food eg pancakes or suafai/ koko araisa would have enhanced their menu.
Thanks
- Tusiata (10/5): - Rooms are very clean. Very affordable and great for layovers or short visits. Location is in town and is in walking distance of restaurants and government offices.
- Lafaele (6/5): - The property location was convenient to town area for shopping and site seeing. I consider it fairly safe place to stay, however noice from other rooms was a problem. The room was fairly clean and provided the very basics, bed, small fridge microwave (didn’t work) and tv. Toiletries for bathroom could be better, it only had toilet tissue, bath towels and no shower soap, etc. normal stuff you would find in all accommodations Hotels. The staff was courteous and very helpful. The morning breakfast they provided daily was excellent.
- Maria Isabel (6/5): - The staff is willing but very limited. There is no manager on site and the cleaning/cooking staff has very limited english, which makes communication difficult. Lights in the room are extremely dim, hot water only works sometimes, there is no remote for the ac (only a switch 8ft up the wall).
That said, the ladies are courteous, the pool is clean and the beds and pillows are nice.
- Ness (6/5): - We (2 adults) booked this hotel last minute to attend a concert at Apia Park (3 minute walk away). It was ok for this purpose.
Room was clean, had aircon that worked and a comfortable king bed. A little dated, but didn’t bother us. We did have toilet paper. Soap looked like it was cut, but not a problem. No tea/coffee facilities in the room but there was a microwave.
The pool was clean and fine to swim in.
Only a few food options to choose from at the restaurant. Luisa who worked in the kitchen was so lovely, checked if we wanted food then would make it and came to the room to let us know it was ready. Just really doing her best as the only one we had seen in the kitchen.
If you are looking for a 5 star resort, this is not it. However if you are more accustomed to budget traveling, this hotel is fine.
Also keep in mind many hotels are still recovering and trying to survive from Covid lockdown. They are doing their best, with minimal staff and resources. Please be kind.
- Leiloa (2/5): - We requested a 2 King size beds and got queen size beds.. they don't know what a roll-a-away bed was. The bathroom wasn't clean and the staff was very unfriendly. One of the room bathroom light was out and had to plug in the night light in the bathroom in order to use the bathroom at night. We had to share the remote control between two rooms on the first day because one of the room did not have a remote control. They didn't move us into the other room until the next day. The worst hotel we ever stayed at.
- Luke (2/5): - Room was filthy, asked 3 times for Kettle in room, never received one, no soap, no toilet paper, continental breakfast was a joke, meals were very poor standards, no room service, had to ask for room service, paid for 15 days in advance and left after 5 days, pool was green etc.
- alessandro_romeo301 (2/5): Horrible - I rented one of the apartments for a while and I got money stolen and I got threaded by one of the waiters. Also, I later found out that the owner overcharged the monthly fee. Also, a colleague got a wedding ring stolen. Horrible place and never again.
- Tikibird (8/5): Peace and Quiet, Near Town - Nice spacious and very clean room. Staff are lovely, always happy to help. I recommend using a Data SIM card rather than the wifi, buy one at the airport or in town. Taxis to and from town are cheap, about 5 tala. AC worked great! The garden is beautiful and area is far enough from the road so it is very quiet. Breakfast with eggs included.
- U6648VVclaudiag (10/5): Perfect base for a Samoa holiday - Le Alaimoana is perfect if you're visiting Samoa for a holiday or work. The hotel is nestled away amongst a beautiful tropical garden with a pool, in house restaurant and bar. The rooms are very comfortable, quiet and absolutely spotless. The air-conditioning is excellent (it gets steamy in Samoa!) and there is a bar-fridge in your room. They provide bikes if you want to go for a ride, and the hotel is located an easy stroll away from the centre of Apia.
Mara (the hotel's owner) looked after us so well, she has an incredible wealth of local knowledge and will give you the best tips on what to do and see while you're in Samoa. Located on the main island Upolu, all the major sites are within easy day trips of Le Alaimoana. They even put on an authentic Samoan Umu for us while we were staying at the hotel!
Fabulous experience. Definitely a must stay if visiting Samoa.
- samantha046 (10/5): Comfy beds, great location in Apia - We had a marvelous stay, mostly due to the kindness of owner Mara whose excellence as a tour guide is unsurpassed. The beds are large and comfortable, rooms complete with microwave, fridge, desk, air con and ceiling fan, etc. located a twenty minute stroll from the city centre, on the road where the colorful local buses run. Taxi into town is only 5 Tala ( about $2.50 Aus). The rooms are very quiet, and ours overlooked the pool and outdoor undercover lounge/dining area. We enjoyed breakfast in the indoor dining area each day, and especially loved the special meal called the umu (traditional fire cooked feast) Mara organised.
Samoa is a great holiday, drive across the island in an hour to discover wonderful beach resorts and jungle landscapes, or wander the shops and cafes of Apia. We look forward to going back!
- Fearless24342071576 (10/5): Great place to stay in Apia! - My colleague and I took a group of students on a Public Health study tour to Samoa (Griffith University, Australia). We chose Le Alaimoana for our stay in Apia, and we were very pleased with our decision! We were a relatively large group of 23 people, which can sometimes be challenging to accommodate. Mara and her team at Le Alaimoana went above and beyond to make our stay smooth and enjoyable. They were very efficient and helpful to assist our group with various needs such as finding transport for the group for day visits, often with very short notice. Their assistance really helped relieve the pressures and stresses from us - the tour leaders.
The rooms were clean and decorated in Samoan style, which contributed to a pleasant ambience, and helped us immerse ourselves in Samoan culture. Staff were very warm and friendly and made us feel welcome. As a part of the tour students had a cook off challenge, for which they were able to use one of the hotel kitchens. We were pleasantly surprised that the staff assisted students with their task! For example, they helped source and arrange table decorations from local plants and flowers, which was very nice of them and well beyond what their duties require.
Facilities available at the hotel are excellent. I already mentioned the kitchen, but there is also an air-conditioned, fully equipped conference room that guests can use for a small fee. It worked really well for us, as students had to deliver group presentations on their tour learnings at the end of their trip.
All in all, we strongly recommend Le Alaimoana, whether you are travelling for holidays with a handful of people, or for work with a large group of students.
- estherapril (10/5): Gorgeous people, gorgeous place! - Le Alaimoana was close to nearly everything (5-10 minute taxi ride), whilst still remaining quiet. The gardens had wonderful greenery, and the management were extremely hospitable. Lovely staff members who became our friends and nice, clean, air conditioned rooms. Great for large groups also!
- fcollins21 (10/5): Best wver - What a fabulous place to stay we came
Middle of the week it was quiet but amazing!!! The rooms are more than enough air con and a fan if you want warmth!! Service was absolutely fabulous ask for Henry he is beyond a doubt the best part about this hotel even though everyone is friendly and warm he went beyond all that to make sure our stay was comfortable and nice!!!
- mainuta_2318 (10/5): Amazingly quiet - Just returned from Apia where we enjoyed our 5 nights at Alaimoana. We were a bit worried about the noise from the main road.....but amazingly once inside our room couldn't hear anything, which led to a very peaceful nights rest throughout our stay. Our room was very large and spacious and so glad the TV was not in the bedroom. Loved the size of the shower stall...much bigger than some of the top hotels, so that was a plus. Enjoyed a nice breakfast in the restaurant, and chatted with the owner. Definitely will be back.
- michaelgC5802WW (8/5): A discerning choice? - Very friendly family run hotel with delightful staff, all of whom seem to know and discretely use the first names of their guests during passing encounters.
Clean, set well back from the road (reasonably secluded) and green (garden) surrounds. Restaurant is a convenient asset for breakfast and other times of needing to eat something while not necessarily wanting to 'go out for a meal'.
Bicycles are available on a complimentary basis (a thoughtful and welcome, 'green' gesture) and ideal for getting around - to the local marine reserve (5 mins) and even uphill to the start of the walk/run up to Robert Louis Stevenson's grave (20-30 mins up and downhill all the way back - 7 mins!).
- mcgoeyo (10/5): Amazing - Myself and my husband visited Samoa in January 2017 for 5 days and we had the most amazing time. Le Alaimoana Hotel just outside Apia was the perfect place to stay. The staff were extremely friendly and very kind. Theyreally could not have done enough for us. The hotel itself was very clean and the food was very tasty. We would highly recommend it-location is perfect 10-15 mins walk from Apia centre and the supermarket is only 2 mins away. Samoa is a beautiful country, we will definitely be back.
- 768DavidC768 (10/5): Great stay and taste of Samoan hospitality at Alaimoana - Had a great 8 night stay at Alaimoana in November 2016. Logistics were great - location is convenient (almost next door to the UN compound, and 10 minutes walk to the waterfront) and the staff were able to arrange transfers and taxis even at very short notice. Rooms are of very good size, have AC and a fan, basic facilities to prepare your own coffee/tea or microwave food. Complimentary breakfast was fresh every day and hot meals on request very good in quantity and quality. Would definitely go back if ever in Apia again!
- HopeFiji (10/5): Business Trip - The staff are very friendly and the service is good. Always willing to assist when we enquire. I like the room, it is clean, tidy and privacy. The hotel is a walking distance to town and very secured in the night.
