- Mike (8/5): - We loved the scenery, staying in a cabin overlooking the river and nature was really nice. The birds and howler monkeys gave a unique ‘jungle feelling’. The food was really tasty (we enjoyed the fact that they had breakfast and dinner options for vegetarians). We selected this particular resort for the outdoor jacuzzi which was a nice touch to the suite. However, we didn’t like the fact the jacuzzi did not remain hot. The water kept going cold so we only enjoyed one night in the jacuzzi. Also, the food was a bit overpriced for a resort that is within the range to easily locate ingredients and products for them to prepare the food. The prices were in line with private Caye resort prices but the private cayes need to outsource their ingredients and food products which is understandable, this inland resort does not. We’ve stayed at many luxury resorts and this one is definitely on the pricier side and in my opinion it is not a luxury resort. Also, the flies were a problem only at night time because the house keeper left the door open while she was cleaning, so the flies were bothersome in the night and disturbed our sleep. However, it was an overall great stay. We would definitely be back sometime in the future.
- Jeremy (8/5): - Dream Valley has beautiful, well-maintained grounds. Our cabin was spotless, exactly as described, with a comfy bed and excellent hot showers. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. That said, a few things fell short. No ice machine means no ice outside of bar hours, and water provided wasn’t cold — not ideal in the heat. The access road is rough, requiring 4WD when raining. A bus got stuck before our arrival, leaving deep, muddy trenches. Even with AWD, getting in and out was nerve-wracking enough that we considered leaving. The restaurant was disappointing. The menu was very limited, especially for vegetarians, (something we inquired about prior to booking & were told they could accommodate) and overpriced. Service was inattentive — even when we were the only table, our waitress barely checked on us, more focused on her phone than guests. In a setting like that, you’d expect a little more attention, at the very least keeping water glasses filled in a humid climate. Dream Valley has potential, but until the road is improved, amenities like ice are added, and dining service is addressed, it’s hard to fully recommend.
- Brian (10/5): - Wow! Is all that really can be said. The natural beauty of this hotel are what other places spend thousands of dollars trying to recreate. Located on the river banks with nothing else in sight, thoughtfully manicured grounds giving way to the Belizean jungle. You truly can feel away from it all. The hotel offers a lot to do on-site as well canoeing on the river, mini golf, a swimming pool, spa services, hikes around the property and a good restaurant with bar. And they can also set you up for a tour to any one attractions in the area. The staff goes out of their to meet the needs of their guests. We stayed in the Owner's Suite on the far end of all the bungalows with the jetted tub on the balcony style patio overlooking the river. Totally private with a wide open view of the river and nothing else but nature to look. Amazing, highly recommend.

- Karen (10/5): - the location was very secluded and lovely. The two pools were a very nice amenity. It was easy to get luggage in and out of the rooms. The air conditioning was awesome and the Wi-Fi was really fast and consistent. One thing I was disappointed about was the lack of hooks or bars for towels (or wet swimsuits, etc.)anywhere in the room or bathroom. We were in the Treehouse room, so I am not sure if the other rooms had towel racks/hooks. Other than that, our stay was perfect!

- Mindy (10/5): - Dream Valley was beautiful. Stayed in a King room on the river and watched the parrots in the morning and listened to the howler monkeys. We would take a dip in the pool after a full day of activities. Anderson was awesome:). The only thing they could not accommodate us with was a massage. I guess you need to book way in advance. But not a deal breaker. We would definitely go back.

We drove two miles down a dirt road to a gate that looked on the map to be the place completely blind and without connection… calls were not answered, messages were not returned. We had to find alternative accommodation last minute at 7PM on Election Day.
- Kerri (10/5): - Our "cabin" was beautiful! It was a large room with a sitting area and very comfortable bed! The howler monkeys usually sounded a couple times a day. Lovely location on the river and the pools were very refreshing. Carmen was a great host and very attentive. Definitely recommend!

- Jason (8/5): - First night was interrupted by next door neighbour blasting music. Staff dealt with it effectively once we let them know. Wall between the rooms are not sound proof. Beds were very comfortable and linens clean. Accommodations were made for dietary needs and food overall was good. After first night, things became much quieter and peaceful even though the resort was full (as described by staff). Service was excellent. Staff were kind and eager to please. With respect to the grounds, saw that hedges needed some trimming and that would have made things look very well-maintained but overall good rating.
- Autumn (6/5): - Pros: The setting of this lodge is beautiful; right on the Belize river. We heard so many birds at this resort, and even howler monkeys in the morning and evening. It's an extremely peaceful place, and a lovely garden surrounded by nature. Cons: Seemed a bit run-down, electricity kept going out, it's quite isolated and is a long way from any other activities, the restaurant food was terrible but being so far away it's the only option. It was a good 'home base' for use to be away from civilization, but we should've brought our own food. The road to the property is also pretty unkempt, so a 4x4 is recommended especially during rainy season.

There's something about the juxtaposition of sitting in the middle of the jungle at night and dining like you're in a metropolitan city (my compliments to the chef). The rooms/bathrooms/patios are massive, with hammocks, and the pool is clutch. Everyone on staff is sweet and attentive. The road to get there is a little bumpy, but think of it as part of the seclusion and charm.

Absolutely beautiful property, clean and well taken care of. It really was a dream. I stayed in one of the suites that had the jacuzzi on the porch overlooking the river. The restaurant and staff were also wonderful. This was a solo trip for me and actually ran into 2 other single woman there at the same time. It felt very safe so would be a great option if single and not sure where to stay. It couldnt have gotten any better and would love to stay with them again. It even had a smart T.V. which is important while I am traveling alone.

The location is great if you have a car as it is close to allot activities… Art Box, tubing, zip lines and Belmopan. The road in is a little rough but not to bad if you go slow

- Catherine (10/5): Belize Castaways - We arrived unexpectedly with 30 other WestJet passengers stranded due to the tropical storm. The staff was amazing! They made sure everyone was well taken care of. Last minute organized incredible buffet style meals for everyone. They even accommodated sever food allergies for someone in our group. The property is beautiful, the rooms are very clean, outstanding staff.
- Alisa (10/5): - Dream Valley's location is beautiful and the cabins are spacious. We had a rivers view cabin and it was great to sit on the private patio and watch and listen to the wildlife (tons of birds, howlers moneys). Pool is great. 2nd time we have stayed and would stay again.
- Sandra (10/5): - In the heart of a tropical storm Dream valley had an influx of guests they were not expecting. They quickly pivoted and got 45 unexpected guests checked in, planned meals and even had welcome drinks for everyone. Throughout the weekend staff members worked long tireless hours to make sure all guest were taken care of, even though their own houses were in danger of flooding from the storms. We are forever grateful for all of the staff at Dream Valley for taking the stress out of a stressful situation for everyone who came from Belize when the storm closed the airport and accommodations were hard to find. Thank you is not enough! Highly recommend this place for future vacations.

- Michele (6/5): - The staff was amazing! However, the accommodations and the restaurant were very overpriced for what they offer. The rooms are set up weird, with the bed on an elevated area (where all the heat rises to). The couch was uncomfortable, and the TV didn't work right. Maintenance around the property was terrible. The trees are all covered in dead palm fronds and need pruning, and we were locked out of our room for 45 minutes because the deadbolt was rusted and wouldn't unlock. The restaurant is expensive with average food at best.
- Kara (10/5): A gem in the jungle - I stayed in a King room with a garden view. I was looking for a solo getaway where I could just relax in comfort, swim, and eat a restaurant on the premises. From the moment I was greeted by Tania and Darcy, I knew that I could not ask for more. Once I took in the unobstructed panoramic view, I was so delighted at having found this place. The room was beautifully appointed, the bed was super comfy, water pressure in the shower was great, and I was steps from the pool. Air conditioning was much appreciated and needed. This place meets, if not surpasses, the standards of an American traveler. Note: This cabin was further from the main building and restaurant, where there are river views and another pool, but I wanted to save money. I highly recommend this resort if you want luxury in the Belmopan area. I would suggest paying extra for the river view units if you don't want to, or can't, walk up and down a trail path.

- sheena (6/5): - Everything is in USD, which I can't understand since this property is in Belize. The price of food is RIDICULOUS ( mediocre steak for almost $60 USD) and definitely not worth the price. The road to the property is bad, so it's not easy to run into the village for cheaper and better options for eating. If you're staying for a few nights and dint feel like paying $100 US pretty meal for 2 people, then I suggest making other arrangements for eating. Other than that, the property was beautiful and so peaceful. Howler monkeys passed through in the early morning and that was the highlight of our overnight stay! The cottage itself was lovely. It gets a bit chilly in the river valley at night. We couldn't get wifi in the cottage, so it's a great place to disconnect and experience some solitude. The staff were luke warm, at best. We definitely did not get the impression of feeling welcomed and accommodated. I don't think this a place I would return to again.

- Brenda (10/5): Jungle paradise - The drive leading up to the resort was a little rough and we were unsure of what to expect. But, upon arrival, we were in amazement at the beauty of the property and the comfort of the rooms. There was so much to see and do that we wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms were amazing! We loved being able to canoe through the jungle to see the monkeys and all of the different birds. The only major critique is the slowness of the restaurant, but the food was excellent quality.

The location is 10 - 15 minute drive from the main area of Placencia not walking distance. The directions are misrepresented through Expedia and you’re contacted via WhatsApp to have correct address - which is inconvenient if you don’t have it.
