• Verified traveler (4/5): - Enough space. Right at the first use, the shower head broke. I knocked at some door where I heard noises and reported it. It was dealt with by the time I came back. Now the head had a split through which the water sprang sideways. Deceiving room description and photos: they said windows to interior yard, while they gave to interior shafts; the bedroom one practically gave to an extremely narrow cwment tube. The curtains had to be pulled all the time and it was hard to air the room. You felt like in prison. Stressful check-in conditions, 20 min slots. You miss your slot, you might be waiting indefiniteley, as they warn you in a welcome e-mail. There's no reception desk. You have to call them on the phone to come and open when you get there, as you don't know . They have strict hours for calling for non-emergency situations, or you get "fined" 30€. Up to hem to decide what constitutes an emergency. I had extremely noisy neighbours for one night, I called the contact no and they said they'd intervene. Nothing changed. There's no room cleaning during your stay.

• Faruk (10/5): Sauber, ausreichend groß, nah am Metro - Sehr saubere Zimmer, Küche und Bad. Die Schlafsofa hat uns ein wenig sorgen gemacht, ob es für unsere Kinder (12 und 14) klein sein wird. Dies war aber nicht der Fall. Es war fast so groß wie unsere Doppelbett, also waren auch die Kinder zufrieden. Sonst befindet sich das Apartment sehr nah am die Metro Station La Latina. Stadtzentrum ist in 15 min erreichbar. Die Küche beinhaltet alles was notwendig ist, von Wasserkocher bis hin zu Mikrowelle. Das Bad ist mittelgroß, und auch sehr sauber. Die Handtücher wurden nicht gewechselt, aber für 4 Tage waren 7 Handtücher ausreichend. in der Nähe gibt es ausreichend Restaurants und andere Einkaufsläden. Ich würde dieses Apartment auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Het enige nadeel van het appartement is dat je bij aankomst/vertrek de koffers niet ergens kwijt kan, hierdoor moet je soms uren rondzeulen met je bagage.

The location was fantastic, right next to all the tapas bars of La Latina. • Verified traveler (4/5): - They say the first impression is what counts, well, our first impression was not the at all what we expected. The person who was supposed to do the check in was not helpful at all, she was not willing to honor the time that we had set up for our check in. We knew that we had a triple reservation made and paid for by one person but it was disregarded and because we insisted on it, we were threatened to not being accepted as clients, eventually sometime later we were giving the attention we deserved. The rooms seemed to be in good order except for one that the shower head was hanging and we were not able to keep it in the proper position. One more item of concern was the fact that if you need it help of any kind, it would be very difficult to reach someone to help you with your need, so we didn't even try

Hanno preteso subito la restante quota e una possibile cauzione di 200 E senza rilasciare uno straccio di ricevuta ma solo una copia del contratto con il pagamento 50% della carta di credito. Il bagno piccolo, maleodorante senza finestra e con un servizio di areazione molto scarso. Le asciugamani per 3 persone per 4 giorni per un totale di 5 e infatti dopo due giorni abbiamo chiesto un cambio. in tutti gli altri posti per 3 persone almeno 9 asciugamani (tre a testa) in definitiva deludente
• Yuhee (4/5): - Good: Great location. Quiet at night(except for neighbors' noise from thin walls & ceilings). No early check-in but smooth transition getting in & out. Heating worked well. Requested a electric kettle which was provided. Bad: Terrible sewer smell coming up from sink and shower drainage in the bathroom which stunk up the whole living room every time we opened the door. Called the customer service, they just sprayed air freshener. Called again, they came next day(I assume) and used some kind of strong chemical which made it worse. The sewer smell came back as it was obviously a plumbing issue. Weak or no internet. There were multiple wifi in the building but all of them were very weak and slow. No internet in the bedroom. On the last two days(weekend), we had no internet even in the living room. Called the customer service, nothing was done. We had to go to a cafe. Stayed 4 nights but only got 1 set of towels. You have to request a replacement and wait for the next available maid service. The water heater doesn't heat up fast enough for two people. After my husband took a shower, I waited an hour which is usually long enough, yet didn't get enough hot water to even wash my hair. The bedroom window near the headboard had a see-through curtain only. When the upstairs apartment left a light on, we had the bright light from that window beaming at our eyes all night. No condiments in the kitchen other than salt. The coffee maker is a type of moka pot, not a coffee machine.

• Simon (6/5): Overall very good - There are many good points. The apartment was clean and in great location. All promised amenities were there but I had to request a kettle. The bed was very comfortable. The downsides. The bathroom was so small it was hard to move in. The shower also did not work and if you turn on the bathroom light, a ideally loud sound is constant. The room was very noisy all day, cleaners were not quiet and actually my room was not cleaned throughout my stay. I had no views only pipes and walls.

We had a car and near by parking was around 20 Euros per night (We googled for parking in "Centro" area). There is free laundry on first floor. There is one washer and one dryer Since everyone hang-dries, dryers are rare so I really liked that there was a dryer. Kitchenette was good. We bought few things from Costco for a couple of quick meals. Worked out well.
• Lee (8/5): - The apartment (4A) was spacious, well appointed and comfortable. It contained everything we needed/wanted from an apartment - plenty of cutlery/crockery and bedding for example. The check-in process was well described in the communications we had with the owners and the person that was there to book us in on our arrival (time arranged in advance) was very helpful. The location is excellent - very close to plenty of good bars and restaurants in La Latina and only a short walk to Opera, Sol etc. The Metro is very close and so easy to use to get around the city. We would almost give a 5 star review if not for one issue: The day before we left for home, we rang the number on the information sheet that was left in the apartment. On this sheet, it clearly states that they could ring for a taxi for us to get back to the airport. When we did this, my wife was told "We don't book taxis, try this other number." When we did so, the person on the phone didn't speak English (not their fault) and we were unable to make ourselves understood with our limited Spanish. What exactly was the point of saying they could book a taxi if this is not a service they offered? Apart from this, we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a short-lease apartment in Madrid.

• karien (8/5): Apartment in great location - Apartment is located within a very short walking distance to all the major Madrid sights and 5 minute walk to Metro stop La Latina. Also close to many bars and restaurants. Only small issue I had was the wifi was a little unreliable but was still okay. Apartment was clean and well equipped with all the necessary items and you could use the buildings washer/dryer for free after 3pm daily.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Good location, otherwise so-so - The location is great, lots of bars/restaurants are close and you're within an easy walk of major attractions. It was also pretty reasonably priced. The apartment itself was tiny and dark, and the lack of any basic hotel facilities like reception and baggage storage (their solution: go stick it in a locker at the central train station, which is not particularly close) makes it a poor fit for people arriving early in the morning by air with checked luggage. If you're just in for the weekend with a light bag and travelling solo, then it might work better for you.
• John (8/5): decent place but has a few flaws. - The apartments are in a fantastic area and a close walking distance to the Palace and Plaza Mayor. The check-in was punctual and the rooms were a decent size. I would highly recommend them to people who want a good location within a cheaper budget. My only downside to the stay was requesting a kettle which I never received, other guests being extremely noisy in the corridors at night and one day the cleaners left my apartment door open that i only had to push it to get in. (luckily no one else had noticed this so my belongings weren't stolen) Finally, the wifi isn't great. its very slow and one of the passwords provided was incorrect.

• Alyson H. (8/5): Close to the city centre - We had Apartment F which was perfectly adequate considering the price we paid. The only downside was that the windows in the main room overlook one of the walkways - which means they overlook you. We kept the curtains closed which was fine and it is Winter time but I can imagine that might be an issue in the Summer. The apartment was spotlessly clean and close to the centre of town. As mentioned before you have to check out by 11am and there is nowhere to leave your bags on site, however there is a Lock & Be Free in Calle de Toledo where you can leave bags securely for 8 euros. We would certainly stay here again.
• Andrea (8/5): Good but check small print before you book! - Great location and clean apartment. Close by to La Latina metro station. Close by to restaurants and sights of Madrid. It gets a little noisy outside at night as there is a bar next door. Check the small print before you book. They do not allow late check-in is. We checked in late and was charged €30.

• David (8/5): Nice apartment needs a little TLC - The apartment was was in an old building and whilst it was clean the decoration was showing signs of wear. The staff were very helpful and accommodate our early arrival and late departure very well. The building had been renovated but like many old buildings ongoing maintenance is needed. Apartment fittings were functional, good value.

• Raymond (6/5): - We rented the most basic unit. Looked nothing like what the photos implied - the unit was smaller and all things were a bit older and more tired than we expected. However, all things necessary were there and the front office was helpful. Location is good. We walked to Plaza Major, the three large museums, Retiro Park, Atocha station etc. easily. With the very lively, but seem safe, neighbourhood in the weekend, you can see what some real Madrid living is like.

• N. from Colorad (10/5): Great stay in Madrid - My husband and I rented the appartment for 2 weeks and will highly recommend it. The appartment was very clean, spacious, had full equipped kitchen and bathroom, that had enough space to move around and dress, which is not always the case in Europe. The location is in 10-15 min. of walking distance to Palace Real, Plaza Major, metro Latina, Sol. We even walk to Reina Sofia once with stop for coffee on a midlle. We are in our late fifties and not very fit. Tons of places to eat! Surprisenly enough, it was quite inside, so we could sleep thru the night (worth to mention again, we are in our late fifties, so it is not always the case). Cannot be more pleased with staff. They are very attantive and helphull. It was great stay!

A few minutes walk away there are lovely local Tapas bars and restaurants and there is a real buzz around the place. It does not feel too touristy and has a real local feel about the area. Considering the location, the apartment was very quiet. The apartment is a good size for 2 people with cooking facilities and fridge, although we did not spend too much time in it due to the lovely weather and bars.

• Hon Sang (8/5): A satisfactory stay at Madrid. - I stay 4 nights there. It's in the district I feel safe. Close to Metro, and is within walkable distance to sightseeing spots. Recommended.
• Mark (10/5): 3 night family stay - Stayed for 3 nights for a family break sightseeing in Madrid, located in the La Latina region and close to Metro. Room extremely comfortable and nice decor, kitchen facilities really good although you have to ask for a kettle (no charge), pull out sofa bed for our 2 boys was good and well made, separate bedroom with loads of storage, the thing they could improve on was a dressing area or even just a wall mirror in the bedroom. The only mirror was in the bathroom. Be aware that they charge an extra 30 euros if you arrive after 10pm and don't accept guests at all after midnight, so be careful with flights and also if there is a possibility of a delay, we had to confirm our time of arrival direct via email to the apt office. The reception is manned for most of the day and eve and found staff on the whole to be helpful, the gentleman that greeted us on arrival spoke really good english and was helpful. Young lady as we checked out a little rude. The apartment is located next to a bar and also a theatre, we didn't have any major problems with noise, you do expect some as its a major city, they also empty the bins after midnight on a Wednesday and the bin wagon did make quite a racket for an hour or so but obviously that's no fault of the apartment and they did also warn us on arrival. Overall I would highly recommend this apartment and for the money we paid for a 3 night stay good value for money.

• Fernando (10/5): Best option for a family - The hotel was more than what we expected, everything over the rate and very helpful staff. If you would like feel like been at home, private and very close to where the party born, this is your option
• Heather (6/5): bit disappointed - We stayed three nights in October. Location is great with lots of tapas bars nearby and about 10mins walk to plaza mayor. The apartment was well laid out with good kitchen etc and was generally clean if a bit well used in places, however the shower room had a problem with what I think were silverfish - having to wash a dozen or so bugs off the shower walls and tray every morning wasn't nice. Reported to reception on the first morning who apologised and sent in additional cleaning, second morning more bugs, more cleaning and an offer to change rooms (we declined as didn't want to waste part of our last day i Madrid) but the staff member seemed to suggest the bugs were in the drains and they'd been advised there wasn't much they could do to get rid of them. Shame as other than this and the slow wifi it was a good apartment.
• Ellen (6/5): Well situated - The apartments are in the La Latina district. Good for places to eat,visit and with good transport links. They have everything necessary for a comfortable stay.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - You can walk to anywhere in central Madrid (museums, Plaza Mayor, Palacio Real, Gran Via) within 25 minutes from here and it's all beautiful. It was nice to have the kitchen in the apartments, but the interior rooms are dark. Better for exterior, but then you'd have street noise so it's up to you. Nice touch was the free washer and dryer!

It was very easy to contact the staff and they made sure they were when we arrived. The apartment was clean, welcoming and comfortable with great views. We will certainly stay in Apartamentos Palacio Real whenever we visit Madrid.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect!! - We had the best experience at this hotel! Even though we booked a standard room they ended up giving us a suite at no extra charge. The apartment was beautiful and the view was even better! There was a small balcony with a view of a church. Right around the corner was a great square and there were tons of great bars and restaurants in the neighborhood. Many places to get delicious and affordable tapas and wines. Perfect experience in Madrid!

• family break (10/5): Central location, clean and cheap - Stayed here with family in a family room. Very easy, clean and quite cheap. Really good location in Latin district, convenient for sight seeing or Cafes. Four bedded room better suited to 2adults 2younger children as pull down sofa not large but managed fine. Pleasant staff and would definitely stay again

• Verified traveler (8/5): Madrid with baby - La Latina is a great area of Madrid to stay. We only stayed 2 nights, but would have liked to stay longer. The front desk staff can be curt and unfriendly. We traveled with our 1 year old and paid extra for a crib. The bedroom was cramped with the crib, but it was just fine. It's a no-frills, clean place to stay. Would definitely stay here again in the future.
• Christopher (6/5): quiet and near best tapas - Great location. Less than 5 minutes walk from La Latina metro and the best tapas area in the city are even closer. Only issues I had w the room were that I couldn't figure out how to black out the window (the shade seemed to get stuck). My room was fairly isolated but very quiet. I only stayed for one night but it gave me all I needed....and for a really good value. Staff was friendly. I'd stay again.
