Guest Reviews
- ROBERT (10/5): We loved staying in the premium cabin. Will return next year. - Great place, A lot of activities for kids. Food was good. We loved staying in the premium cabin. Will return next year. The dog park was behind us. It was loud at times when multiple pets were in it.
- LillyAnna (10/5): -
- Gemma (6/5): -
- Matthew (8/5): -
- Donald (6/5): - Golf cart rentals and cabins were extremely expensive.
- Autumn (8/5): - Great campground. Quiet and a lot of activities to do. Close to Lake George but away from the hustle. Convenient store on site was super nice to have. I have to say that I did not find it to be very clean. Garbage and mold stuck to the bottom of the garbage can and the beds had a lot of dirt under the sheets. Also, most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept on. Only stayed for 2 nights so it was manageable but wouldn't be able to do it for any longer than that. Would stay again, just for a short visit and I'll be bringing my own lysol wipes next time.
- Stacey (7/5): - We liked the campground and that we can bring our dog. Since last year they cut back on the shuttle times on Sundays. They put in window air-conditioning instead of fixing the wall ones, the portable heater was not warm. The warm water was not warm, barely above room temperature Making showers uncomfortable.
- Malvin (8/5): - No free wifi
- Madison (9/5): 10/10 would recommend, there’s something for everyone here! - Beautiful cabin! Had privacy in the yard that included a fire ring and chairs. Would absolutely recommend to anyone, will be back for sure. SOOO much to do on site! Floors didn’t seem to be mopped very much, otherwise everything was great!
- Sara (6/5): - This is our second year staying here. We want to love this property so much, but we had multiple issues this year with our cabin. I even brought up some concerns including safety and cleanliness and was told house keeping out come back to address the cleanliness and it wasn’t. Cobwebs everywhere, dirty floors. It’s camping, I understand, but to start off that dirty and to bring up the concerns and them not to be dealt with. Will reconsider coming back for a third year.
- Lynda (10/5): -
- Kelly (9/5): - We have gone for the past 2 summers and the kids love every minute of it and always look forward to going back! The only issue which wasn't anyone's fault but was the storm that came through and we lost power for a couple hours.
- Debbie (10/5): Relaxing camping experience in a beautiful cabin with lots to do. - The location was great and we loved the location of our cabin. Our cabin looked recently renovated and was very clean. My daughter loved the loft and our dog enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony every day. We loved the pool and the amenities offered at the campground. We played pickle ball daily. My daughter also enjoyed the beach volleyball, basketball court, and corn hole. There were too many different kinds of bugs that were biting us like crazy. The lake access was small and didn't look appealing.
- Iris (10/5): -
- Joe (10/5): -
- Marygrace (9/5): Superb -
- RAFAL (8/5): - Nice place to staying
- Carlos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Valiantsina (10/5): - Very good
- Crystal (9/5): We are excited to visit again and hope that necessary safety measure are taken in bunk room of cabins - There were a lot of activities on site that kept our kids entertained. The staff at the arcade went above and beyond, they were truly the best part of our visit! The bunk room in our cabin. Upon arrival the molding on the top bunk, which held the guard which is meant to stop children from following off the top bunk fell completely off. ON TOP of my five-year-old son. It was held in with finishing nails luckily, the nails were pointing up when it fell on him and did not fall pointing down and into him.
We contacted the front desk and they sent somebody who secured it with screws and anchors. There should be a safer and more secure option for all of the bunks in the cabins and a ladder to get to and from the top bunk.
Also, there should be a ceiling fan in that room still unsure as to why there is an air conditioning unit and fan in the larger back room and nothing in the bunk room to circulate air
- GIRISH (8/5): - Quite and peaceful.
- Alicia (8/5): Very good -
- Trudian (10/5): - Cabin was nice and clean. We had the basic necessities to cook. It was great.
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Burke (6/5): OK, its always nice to get away - The area was run down, and the prices too high. Kiddie pool closed, rec room closed. $40 for a raft ride for four people was ridiculous
- Andrea (10/5): - Lots of things to do for the kids, my daughter was ecstatic with our stay here
- Alicia (6/5): A perfect little getaway with a few quirks - It was beautiful and a lot to do The air conditioner didn’t work
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was close and convenient to lake george town and it was well kept and clean! Nothing
- Julianna (1/5): Bad - Our cabin had masking tape around the ac window unit and did not cool down the cabin. The central air in the cabin also did not work and the faculty knew, and still put us in the cabin. The whole cabin smelt like dog pee and the loft had a stain. The outlet did not work to charge the golf carts which was $125 a day alone. The golf cart did not stay charged. There was food all over the plates and silverware. We opened up the sofa for bed, and there was mouse poop on it. There was no hot water, and we had to take cold showers. The local people who were seasonal were very unfriendly, and inconsiderate. Would not recommend or stay again.
- Becky (8/5): - The cabin we rented was a nice space for a few days. The premium cabin fit my family of six nice and snug. I liked that the campground had a camp store for when you need to just a few things. That was very convenient. There is a grocery store just five minutes off the property as well. Very close to Lake George Village, which was nice to be so close.
There seems to be a lot to do at the campground however we were there off-season so not much of it was open during the week. The heated pool was a highlight for my kids. They swim, even when it was just 65° out. They loved it!
We ate at the little restaurant on Sunday evening and the chicken baskets we got were very decently sized. The French fries were very good! I was pleased with what we received for the price.
Not that this is the campground’s fault but because of all the rain, the mosquitoes were terrible! My son got eaten alive even with bug spray. So definitely make sure you have strong spray.
The cabin itself seemed clean. There were cobwebs around, but I could look past that and say for the most part, it was very neat and tidy the one issue we had was the coffee maker was disgusting. I tried to clean it, but couldn’t. We found one of the Cleaners and they apologized and gave us a brand new coffee pot to use. I was happy with how quickly this was resolved the space around the cabin was comfortable. Enough space for my kids to play around. It was a comfortable place for a few days!
- Nicole (10/5): - Our four day romantic trip was great..The cabins are very nice and clean with all needed. Pool was warm and nice as well. Would have liked to known the restaurant/bar is only open on weekends, pool should have a little later hours. Dog park is awesome. We would stay again.
- Chaya (10/5): - Had an amazing stay.
The people at the front desk especially sylvia were so kind amd friendly. Everyone was so helpful. The cabins are so clean and well stocked. The grounds are beautiful too
- Malvin (7/5): Good - Lot of broken window blinds in room
- Dante (4/5): - I was very excited for this stay, and I am a simple man when it comes to housing and hotels so I was super excited for somthing like this cabin. The floor was so dirty our feet were instantly black, my fiancee had to re-wash the dishes. One of the cabinet doors on the bunk beds were missing so had to block that so my son couldn’t go in. The mattresses were HORRIFIC. I’ve never slept so bad in my life. And to top it off the bedroom AC had an error message on it the entire time. I get it it’s a cabin in the woods but the amount of spiders and bugs we killed inside there come on now. Won’t be coming back. That’s for sure.
- Zatorski (9/5): Superb - Very nice, well maintained and clean cabin. Nice flooring, walls and lighting, too. It was also very convenient with a full size stove, fridge and a lot of storage space. Two TVs were another plus. We found the mattress and pillows to be amazingly comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay there. The underside of the microwave (above the stove) could be cleaned better. The bathroom fan was too loud. The water heater could be larger; we ran out of hot water after a couple of minutes of shower usage.
- Silvia (10/5): - The place is clean and have everything you need for your stay
- Domingo (8/5): Nice stay, loved the environments, would like to come back for a bit longer. - Great location and good value at this time of the year (May). We really liked the camping, with lost of green. Some things inside the cabin looked slightly run down. Some of the venetian blinds we a bit broken, for example. And the water didn't taste good.
- Mohammad S (8/5): - Very nice and quiet place
- Nancy (8/5): Probably more fun in summer. - Cabin is seasonal so no heat. Cool in October. Adirondack mountains are beautiful. Not much going on as end of season. Great bar and restaurant. Comfortable beds. Cabin is stocked with linens and equipped kitchen.
- Michael (10/5): - Beautiful grounds! Very serene
- Kim (10/5): Was a great family time quite but a lot to do convient to everything - Quite clean a lot to do Nothing
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Timothy (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): - Our cabin was clean and very nice.
- Catherine (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (10/5): - Love this campground
- Kevin (10/5): - Great atmosphere
- Jessica (4/5): Stuck out all night - My family went for the weekend and when we first got into the cabin, the bathroom floor was flooded. I called the office and had to leave a message. No one called back so we went to the office on our way out to dinner. We were told maintenance would take a look. When we rerurned that night after dinner at 8:20 our key card wouldn't work! After several tries we called the office and got an automated message they were closed. I tried all the number oprions and could not connect to anyone, leave a message or find any emergency number. Well... the next morning our key card still didn't work. We drove to the office when it was open and said what happened. Mind you, we also have 2 small children. Without any sort of sympathy or apology (in fact didn't even seem surprised), was told we would get a partial refund and here's a new key. Otherwise the floor is not cleaned as our feet were black after walking on it... but the rest of the place seemed clean. It was comfortable and no off putting smells.
- Sherrie (9/5): A great stay, cabin was perfect and the staff was great. - We liked that we could stay in a very comfortable cabin and still feel like we were camping. There was nothing we didn’t like.
- Pedro (5/5): I stayed in this property due to having a tennis court, but I’ll change to another place next time I’m staying nearby. - They removed the tennis net to totally replace it with pickleball net.
The tennis court lines marking are totally ruined by the pickleball lines. It’s quite confusing.
They wrongly setup the pickleball lines marking, usually pickleball lines markings are perpendicular to the tennis lines markings, not in the same direction to avoid lines markings confusion, better playability and to avoid removing the tennis net.
- Pamela (10/5): Great family trip - I really likes the cabin-amenities and access to tubing/kayaking on site. We also used the pickleball courts. More mirrors in the cabin-full length for outfit viewing. Also soap wasn’t provided -I’m glad we thought to bring our own from home. No hair dryer either-I wrongly assumed there would be one. Had to air dry our hair. Otherwise great-pot and pans, plates etc.
- Keith (7/5): Good -
- Virginia (6/5): - There was limited activities as everything was closed "due to weather". There was no activities for adults, no music (as mentioned on their site), the dishes in the cabin had food remnants on them (including all silverware), the shower ceiling was gross, and the bathroom always smelled of urine. Make sure to bring your own handsoap and other washes as the cabins do not provide ANY essentials. Overall, I'm completely not impressed for the amount of money paid per night and everything being closed during the season.
- Marygrace (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (7/5): Our third stay here, previous 2 times were good. - The staff on all was good. Grounds were very clean as usual, our 3rd time staying here. Restaurant on the grounds as well was nice! Upon arrival the ac in the cabin was off(85 degrees and somewhat humid), Turned it on, unit in bedroom seemed good, living area ac was not really cold but decided to go into town for dinner and hope it would cool down by the time we came back from dinner. living area was still oppressive(HOT)when we got back! An older gentleman came to the cabin could not get it working said he would call maintenance. 10:30 pm was told no one was coming to hibrinate for the night in the bedroom(wife is asthmatic and does not do well in hot/humid condition). It was repaired the fallowing day, but we were already looking to leave if not repaired. Traveling with pets, left towels outside for replacement, were not exchanged the first day we left them out. Exhaust fan in bathroom was very loud did not want to leave on any longer than needed. Cabin could have been cleaner but all and all was ok.
- Sungwook (9/5): Superb -
- Samantha (4/5): Terrible and won’t punish myself again. - Quiet. Located close to the highway. Couldn’t use amenities such as kayaking because lack of staffing, bed linen wasn’t changed, stove was so disgusting that we couldn’t use it, AC was broken and they knew.
- Sandra (9/5): A great vacation - I loved the heated pool, so relaxing.
This place is pet friendly with an amazing dog park.
The cabins were clean and well equipped.
They offer shuttle service to town which is nice.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I wish they had garbage pick up instead of guest having to hike to the dumpster.
The bartenders are very slow when serving guest. They need more training I suppose.
I wish they offered more activities for kids. I was there last year and they had movie nights, S’mores night and a DJ at night for the kids, it was great. I heard it was under new management, I wish they would bring those activities back.
- Manuel (6/5): Not having to make a roast didn't like it because the least is to be able to make a roast there. - The floor wasn’t clean good. In the bathroom was still dirty and the whole floor was not mopped already when we entered the cabin without shoes, his feet were incredibly dirty when he walked in the cabin.
- Kacie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katarzyna (10/5): - We loved the place and we are planning to come back.
- Thomasina (10/5): I had a very nice and relaxing stay. - The park is very well maintained. I loved the doggie park and so did my dogs. I liked the shuttle that takes you to and from Lake George. I didn't like that there were very few benches to sit on at the doggie park and no shade.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Okay - Great cabin. Maintenance and all staff were very helpful and friendly. Pool was clean and warm. Unfortunately, our cabin was located next to the dog park so it smelled and everyone walked through our yard and looked into our cabin as they went to and from the dog park. There was a sign saying you weren’t allowed to go in other’s yards but no one paid attention to it.
- Daryl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maju (9/5): Superb -
- Nicole (2/5): - The kiddy pool isn’t working the cabin was dirty and they had awful Communication skills
- Abdellah (8/5): - Quiet family camp site. Very convenient.
- Flor (10/5): - Enjoyed staying at Lake George Escape, our cabin was more than we expected clean, beautiful will definitely book again in future
- Aleks (10/5): Exceptional - place was clean, location is awesome, planning to go with my family. lots of activities to do. exhaust fan in bathroom did not worked. unfortunately was no hand soap in bathroom
- Margie (9/5): A definite place to go and visit... - I loved that so many options were offered at the facility. Unfortunately, it poured the entire time, so we never got to enjoy a lot of the amenities. Especially the pool. It was closed every time the rain let up and we tried to go. I would have liked to have seen the kiddie pool open. It was under construction. I love that it is pet friendly. It was a good distance from town. Very private. I felt safe, and I liked that you needed a code to enter. The arcade and mini golf were nice. I also enjoyed seeing the amenities by the golf cart. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I liked that we each had our own individual fire pit, and I really enjoyed the cabin. The large microwave, gas stove, and refrigerator were great for two teenage boys. The loft was so cozy. I also loved the setup. The restaurant with games next to the pool was so much fun. I loved that they had showers, bathrooms, and a laundry facility on their property. I loved the natural lighting with so many windows and outlets. Our original cabin had a broken air conditioner. They moved us happily and even accommodated us with a discount. Everything was clean and comfortable. We will definitely come back. If your over 5 foot 10 inches, you will have a hard time showering. Your head will be over the shower head. We kept trying to go tubing, but it was canceled daily due to the weather which is no fault of theirs. The only thing was that 3 weeks prior to coming, the manager had left and was no longer working there. Because of that, the many activities that were offered were not available. It looked like a lot of fun. Hopefully we can go back when they are back up and fully running again.
- Zachary (9/5): Superb -
- Jaroslav (10/5): Excellent choice for nature lovers. - We rented a cabin which seemed to be brand new and super clean. We needed late check in and they have a good system for it. All stuff vere super friendly.
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carmen (10/5): Exceptional - It was a great stay and very peaceful No complaints
- Joseph (9/5): Superb -
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional - The accommodations were wonderful. I have no complaints. I will definitely be coming back. I would suggest however rethinking the location of the giant bear toilet paper holder in the bathroom other than that everything was fantastic
- Villasenor (10/5): Our stay was worth the money - Best part was the dog park!!! Nothing
- Dwyer (8/5): Quiet and comfortable - Loft cabin was awesome!
- Mancyank (10/5): Exceptional -
- Malvin (8/5): Very good - Friendly
- Cheryl (10/5): - Beautiful campground! The cabin was clean and the neighbors were friendly. Went for Americade and will definitely stay there again in the future!
- Joseph (7/5): Overall good experience. - Nice small and cozy Sheets had some dirt and hair in them, cabins are on top of each other so privacy doesn’t really exist.
- Jillian (8/5): Had a great Memorial Day weekend ! - Amenities, lots to do !! Friendly staff & ppl. That we didn’t get to go tubing but that’s ok we will be back when water isn’t so cold .
- Brittany (10/5): Exceptional - Clean! Had just about everything we needed!
Except scissors.
- Robyn (9/5): Superb - I left just before 9am and there was no one to take the key or check out with so I placed my keys in the key box directly outside of the reception building. I received a phone message around noon stating that I never checked out and they didn’t receive my keys yet, and if they don’t I will be charged for another day. I tried to return the call but an automated message said the office was closed and sent me to an 800 number. Once I finally spoke to a human she said it looked like I was checked out in the computer on her end. So I’m waiting to see if they remove the charge. Too bad if it isn’t because I really liked the place.
- Kristy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kayla (9/5): Superb - I thought the price for what you get was great! $93 for a night in a 2 bedroom premium cabin seemed like a steal. Though I know it was during off season. I checked the prices during peak and the price goes up about 3 or 4x that a night. A bit much. The cabin had everything you would need though. Linens, towels, kitchen utensils. It was great. The doors were a bit annoying though because they didn't stay put. The bathroom door wouldn't just stay open while I was doing my hair. I had to put something in front of it to prevent it from closing. Not a huge issue, just a bit annoying. The bedroom door did the same thing but wouldn't stay opened. There were also a lot of carpenter ants. More than I would say is normal. The floors were also very dirty. I don't think they were mopped at all. My toddler and 10 year old had filthy feet just from walking in socks for a few mins inside. The overall cleanliness was really good though so the floor thing didn't totally put me off, it was just another annoyance since the kids either had to keep shoes on or clean their feet often.
The property is huge. Almost a bit too big and it's easy to get lost. We needed our map every time we went to leave. The facilities that we did see in our short stay looked nice. We were able to use the pool since it was open, so that was a huge bonus. Not often do campgrounds have the pool open before Memorial Day. It was heated too and felt nice! I wish we could have explored the whole place but we did not have enough time and not everything was open just yet. My oldest son loved the basketball court though!
The office should have different hours though. By the time we settled in after checking in, it was closed and we needed wood and ice. My husband had to get wood from someone up the street and go to the store for ice. He went to the office around 5:40 pm I believe. Check in is 4, so not much time to get your things in order. Maybe it was just from being off season though! Office hours.
Peak pricing very high.
Carpenter ants in cabin. (More than just a few)
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was well organized. Cabins were clean. All the staff was friendly
- Robyn (9/5): I needed a well deserved decompress and recharge for the next few weeks. The serenity of the property and location of my - Beautiful location and atmosphere! There was a bird’s nest in the door pocket.
The kitchen area was mostly clean, but an old spill was still all down the front of the main cupboard. The water was also pink at first so I didn’t drink it.
Overall it was a great place and I will return.
- adam (8/5): Great Stay - Excellent location. Cabins very comfortable. Needs serious dusting. Service very good. Great family vacation for balloon festival
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (8/5): Wonderful - The cabin was beautiful and very clean. However the only complaint I have is that no hand soap was provided in the bathroom & that's surprising as every hotel provides hand soap for sanitary reasons especially with COVID as well. I had to purchase hand soap so we could wash our hands. Something that cheap should be provided in your cabin rentals. Other than that I have no complaints. Our stay was wonderful. Please provide hand soap in the bathroom in your cabins. No hand soap provided in our 2 bedroom cabin.
- Sonsera (9/5): Can't wait to go back! - I liked how they offered many different things available to do at the facility. Our cabin was comfy and cozy. We also like how versatile it was for people to make their stay comfortable whether you had an RV, tent or chose to stay in a cabin. The location was well situated for us to travel locally for no more than 20 minutes at a time. They were many opportunities we had that gave us beautiful views of the area. It was a little nerve wracking at night because there was so much movement, felt somewhat unsafe with so many scooters and golf carts whipping around. We just knew we had to be extra careful driving.
- Kevin (6/5): Awesome but unclean. - This is a great spot to stay with the family. The "premium" cabin was in great condition... it just wasn't that clean. The bathroom smelled like old urine, at least 2 pillowcases seemed unclean (blood and makeup) and I had to wash dishes before we used them. Only 2 forks available but that worked ok for us. If it was cleaned before we stayed there it would be 5 star!
- Annamarie (8/5): - Please with the resort. There is a mix of RV, tents and Cabins. All within walking distance of pool and restaurants. Our Cabin was clean and quaint. Very dog friendly. I would stay there again
- Sandra (9/5): Nice campground - Many activities during the day. Nice little restaurant on site that had a DJ at night.
I loved the heated pool, the water was amazing. Plenty of tables and chairs to sit around pool.
Little convenience store was priced reasonably, great for last minute things. We stayed in one of the cabins. Upon arrival there was a tip envelope for the maid but there was no maid service. We had to walk to the front office for towels, garbage bags, and toilet paper. Also you have to walk to dumpsters with your trash. Other campsites they do a garbage pick up.
The mosquitoes were horrible, wish they would spray campground.
This campground is a bit pricey, you are not on Lake George, about a 10 minute ride. But still a nice place.
- Angel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Xhemile (9/5): Superb -
- Ventura (7/5): Wet night at Camp with a mouth full of hair - We love the activities and the location. The distance to lake george was great. The bedding in bedroom soak and wet from the air conditioner above it ,made for a very uncomfortable first night, the place not clean,we felt very uncomfortable because the blinds were broken and people could look in and see us at night,we had to sweep up hair from previous renters and wipe everything down ,and dirty coffee pot with grounds left there from previous renter.other than all these things we made it work for us
- William (10/5): - Loved it great time for kids
