Guest Reviews
- Sandy (8/5): Great value for money if you don’t mind every thing being old and tired. - Short walk to the beach and also the Main Street. Very central. Room was very big. The place was very quiet and peaceful. Pool was refreshing (I didn’t use the one next to restaurant) and relaxing. Rooms were cleaned every day and the staff were lovely. The property could do with a lot of upgrading. Rooms are very dark and in need of a lot of maintenance. bed was very hard but I didn’t mind it, bathroom had a shower over bath which was quite slippery when getting in and out but they did have an out shower so I used that after first night I got there. Pool was lovely but could have been a lot better if it was re tiled and the surrounding walls were scrubbed and gardens maintain.
- Donna (8/5): - Staff were lovely and polite. Breakfast was nice. Bath towels need to be replaced as old and shower curtain needed changing or a good clean
- Petra (10/5): - Staff were extremely helpful, always smiling, nothing was too much trouble for them.
Upgraded when the room we were in developed a water leak.
Breakfast was always delicious.
Very quiet except for the roadworks which were ongoing and quite dangerous but should be finished within the next few months.
- Angela (10/5): - Nice private room with courtyard. Very conveniently situated for beach and restaurants
Bath needs re coating
- Sitaram (6/5): -
- Michael (8/5): Overall okay. - Rooms good and clean, bed hard. Location great. Breakfast was poor to average and allowed to run down ie no butter, coffee almost empty, no fruits left etc..
There were room renovations underway which were noisy.
- Dorothy (7/5): - Great location No seating around the pool.
A table in the lobby always occupied by people eating, or by the guests from ground floor units
- Simon (9/5): - Pool area was relaxing. Breakfast was nice. Room with nice private outdoor area was great
L'armadio in camera cade a pezzi.
- Tony (9/5): We were very happy and will book again. - Friendly, cheerful staff. Location. Comfortable bed, Clean room. Good WIFI. We prefer not to have to step into a bath to have a shower, but some people like baths.
- Karen (5/5): - Locatio. Friendly staff Bathroom. Shower bath was terrible.
- Dianne (6/5): Pleasant stay and staff are great, breakfast is basic but sufficient. - The staff were amazing and location is perfect. The larger rooms are very rundown and shower over bath with nothing to hold onto to get in and out was a bit dangerous. Smaller rooms are well maintained but no view on balconies
- Carol (3/5): Very dissaponted would not stay again expensive for what I got - Location only Dark room aircon issues
Shower in the bath on side of wall hand held shower with curtain water everywhere hard to get in and out of the bath without slipping
Safe on the floor hard to use
Paid for Sari Villa put in old villa next door big stair case to climb n lights not on every night
Pool small and needs maintenance
Breakfast bad for Bali
- Marie (8/5): It was nice just for one. Night. I messaged them before arrival to ass an adult to the room which they didn’t do so when - It was nice just for one. Night. I messaged them before arrival to ass an adult to the room which they didn’t do so when we arrived they were shocked. But they managed to set up a spare bed for one adult with no complains. It’s a decent b Villa
- John (8/5): - The staff were very friendly and generally the facilities were clean. They only issues were the lack of selection for breakfast, which was a bit limited, and that better maintenance for the rooms would be good.
- Jodie (8/5): Great place stay for the price - We stayed for 5 nights in this lovely little 3 star accommodations. PROS: The staff were very friendly, helpful and remembered our names. Super convenient to walk most places from here. Beach access via Shanti and the street is just around the corner. The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. Mattress firm but comfortable. Bathroom nice, good pressure and hot! As the property is a more small and intimate facility it doesn't have a massive pool like other places, but this suited us perfectly. Sari Villas is in a nice and quiet setting, a guard at the main entrance makes you feel very safe = A+.
CONS: could be awkward for older or persons with poor mobility getting into the shower as it is quite a step over the bath to access. Breakfast, though included was not great. Eggs cooked to order were okay but overall the buffet could be improved.
- Paula (8/5): would happily stay again ! - Location, staff, size if room.
Breakfast is minimal but I was ok with that wooden flooring around pool was a bit dangerous as lots of boards were loose as were some tiles, i was worried about the senior ladies in our group.
- Karen (8/5): We enjoyed our stay in Sanur. Will definitely return. - Location was excellent in relation to restaurants, supermarkets and beach. Room was good, comfy bed and lots of hot water for showers. Especially loved being able to have a long soak in the bath.
Breakfast was ample and cooked by friendly staff.
- Mira (6/5): Location is good but the furniture a little bit old need refreshment - The location The furniture a little bit old
- Shaun (8/5): - wonderful location and near a great range of restaurants. Short walking distance to ICON mall A small quite hotel. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Down side the pool and stairs could use a safety rail for older visitors
- Susan (7/5): A good place to stay - The location of the hotel is good. It's only a few minutes walk to the beach. The breakfast was excellent. There are two swimming pools however they are quite small. The room was for two people, yet there was only one chair in the room. It would have been good to have had two chairs. The internet was fast and reliable. As above - two chairs in the room, instead of one, would be a good improvement.
- Leanne (8/5): Enjoyable - Very centralised for what I love in Sanur. Staff friendly. I was not there long enough to find issues. The bed a bit hard but that’s my taste.
- Kay (5/5): All things considered our stay at Villa #2 Amansari Villas was enjoyable and relaxing. - Our room was actually in the complex next door called Amansari Villa. After speaking with other guests, we got lucky with our room. Everything worked i.e. fridge, air conditioner, shower, toilet. We didn't use the in-room safe - so small could fit passports and not much else. Kept very clean inside & outside. Cupboard doors wouldn't shut properly, Hob in kitchen was very rusty - but we didn't use it, so don't know if it worked or not. Bathroom was very clean though a few floor cracks and mould on the ceiling, door to outside shower opened only half way. Pool very clean, small but adequate. Lounge chairs have cushions but no tables between lounges, do have umbrellas, BEWARE -tiles around pool extremely slippery when wet. Breakfast is basic - get in early. Access to the beach is not easy. We used 2 other hotels for the 1st few days but their security staff followed use after that. We then walked down Jalan Danau Tamblingan to Jalan Pantai Karang to beach front after that.
- Tania (10/5): - Fantastic location. Very close to everything you need or want. Lovely room and staff. In the thick of it but still quiet. Thank you.
- Felvus (6/5): Tired and needs revamping but good location and friendly. - Breakfast variety was limited but very nice.. great omlettes. Location is great however access to beach is not direct it is via another hotel . Room was cleaned well everyday. Pool near us looked terrible no tiles and stained concrete. Shower over bath. The water went everywhere..
Outdoor shower was terrible. Rusty flap of tin overheard.. Towels were old and grey and very thin. Also a very hard bed.
- Peter (6/5): This is a great value location offering good size and comfortable rooms - The location is awesome. Size of the room is very good and the outdoor shower is an absolute bonus! The doors leading outside need some maintenance
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to stay. Nice and central
- Tania (9/5): Superb - Nice and clean Villa a bit old
- Peter (8/5): Happy with all aspects - Love the staff and location
Pity my room request couldn't be accommodated though understand the reasoning
- Anonymous (5/5): Loved the place. Beautiful people always there to help. Clean rooms great breakfast - Room was huge!!!!
Breakfast I could eat it all day!! Yummo
Location was great middle of everything we wanted to go to No hot water
- Chris N Dan (10/5): - Sari Villa is central to everything. We loved it and will stay again. Staff are fantastic, pool was beautiful, room was clean and serviced every day.
- dave (8/5): - Nice clean reasonably priced short walk to beaches and shops
- David (6/5): Pleasant - Great location Very poorly maintained hotel.
Very bad plumbing.
Undersized / under-rated air conditioning system.
- Charity (6/5): Nice hotel, quiet location lovely staff - Nice Hotel Villa in good quiet location close to beach... Rooms are spacious with private courtyard, has bathtub. Breakfast was ok & coffee good. Staff were lovely & friendly. The rooms are not sound proof, could hear furntiure being dragged about above our room, was very loud. The bed was uncomfortable & squeeked everytime we moved, Airconditioner was very noisy. not enough pillows, small thin. Bathtub was old, the shower curtains stained & windows over the bathtub never cleaned. The shower head broken & took too long for hot water. Alsdo the bathtub is too high & is dangerously slippery especially trying to get out. this concerns me as this would cause accident & injury for an elderly person.
- Annette (8/5): Very good -
- Garry (9/5): I found the facilities good , friendly staff , good price , would stay there again - How central it was to the beach and restaurants Shower in the bath , no grab rails for safety
- Samuel (5/5): basic -
- Carl (8/5): Good on a budget - Overall not bad. Building quite old and could use a refresh. Hot water took ages to come through but pressure good. Breed ok but pillows rock hard. Breakfast enjoyable with good coffee.
Nonetheless an overall comfortable stay.
- Deborah (9/5): Excellent hotel - practically beachfront! - I loved my stay here. The room was very comfortable, and the best part was the location - you could access the beach with a short walk (maybe 5 minutes? maybe less!) through a nearby hotel. Lots of restaurants nearby, yet it's still quiet all the time. The pool and breakfast were also good. Eggs were available every day, made to order. Excellent service from the staff - I had a late flight on the day I checked out and was able to store my luggage there all day. I also used their laundry service and it was one of the best laundry experiences I had in two months of traveling SE Asia. Two things that stood out but still don't overshadow the experience and I would definitely stay again: 1) the bathtub was pretty beat up. It looks dirty at first, but it just needs to be re-glazed. And 2) the balcony didn't have a view; it just faced a building wall. But again, I would still highly recommend this hotel and stay there again.
- Bruno (8/5): Very good -
- Jgm (10/5): Exceptional - Good place
- Jane (7/5): Good - Looked just like the pictures Rooms were very dark
- Lara (7/5): Great location & well worth the money. - The breakfast was good. The location was phenomenal right in the middle of main road & beach. Short walk to both. Would stay there again. Would prefer a room downstairs.
- Tara (9/5): I'm already keen to book again this year - a great location, clean, quiet, nice pool, huge room - Great location, clean, quiet, nice pool, nice simple breakfast, friendly staff, huge room, I loved it. I couldn't tap and pay, you have to pay with a physical card. Next time I'll pay in advance as they charge 3% credit card fee at the property (apparently this is government issued but I'm not sure).
- Mark (10/5): - Great arrive. Nice people. Thank you for having us for the night
- Craig (8/5): Comfortable - Location
- Gavin (8/5): Great value in Sanur - Friendly staff, nice and private location, safe off street location A little dated, but typically Balinese which is nice.
- Jeanette (8/5): We did enjoy our stay but could have been better with a new lick of paint. - We were right next to the pool which was amazing and perfectly clear.
There were so many eateries with so much variety and everything we ate was awesome.
The rooms were a great size and the outside shower was great in the mornings.
The staff were amazing and provided anything we asked for.
I actually asked if our aircon could be serviced as I ha$ been unwell. The guy came within half an our and had the job done very quickly. The rooms were very tired and required updating.
Breakfast was minimal and we often arrived at 8.40 and the fruit and butter was all gone and one day we could only get a plain omelette.
The outdoor shower was great however there was no light outside which meant you couldn’t see.
- Cheryl (5/5): Passable -
- myriam (6/5): - Staff always ready to go out of their way to help in any way and very friendly Leni and Pasek were extremely helpful to try and solve anything that needed fixing,
- Averil (8/5): Short holiday - Great location and nice Bali vibe. Certainly not the most comfortable pillows. Otherwise it’s a beautiful villa.
- Arend (10/5): - Great location
- Yvette (8/5): Good value for money and great location. - Loved the pool, staff & location. Airconditioning works well in the smaller rooms not so much the bigger suites.
Flexibility given to us when we requested changing rooms and for checking out. Didn't like the hot room 4 which was one of the suites. We did travel in the hot build up season though.
- Oldfield (4/5): Disappointing - Good location Both the back and front view were at brick walls
The bed was so uncomfortable. Rock Hard
- Julie (7/5): Good - people were great and always there to help. Great location, so quiet.breakfast ok. While there we had issues with the plumbing. It didn't work. so issue with shower and toilet. solution maybe tomorrow we can get someone in to look at it. Not same as pic's. We decided that it was ok and even though it was not what we expected it was good and friendly staff we'd stay here again for only a few days but once we had the plumbing trouble we've decided against it. And it wasn't just us our neighbours were in the same situation.
- Michael (7/5): Enjoyed our stay have - Central location, pool is excellent, not Olympic size but very comfortable and very clean Aircon hard to regulate, too effective, wasn’t aware it only catered to one adult, however it was comfortable and breakfast wea adequate.
- Alan (10/5): - Location was great. Alvin was very helpful when I needed assistance.
- Pauline (7/5): Good -
- George (8/5): Very good - Location. Helpful staff. Clean and tidy etc Being bit by mosquitoes
- Kay (6/5): nice staff, but would pay a bit extra to stay on the beach with afternoon breeze and outlook - nice friendly staff, rooms very clean. room was upstairs, no outlook from room, just a small courtyard space with high walls, and a couple of not so great plants, small pool with no umbrellas,
- Mark (7/5): Good - Leni & the staff made it memorable with always a smile & nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was delightful with eggs cooked to order by one of the lovely girls 🙏 each morning.....enak sekali.
The rooms are getting a little tired & need a little TLC, although spacious they do lack refinement for the price now being asked. The owners need to consider putting some of that money back in to the upkeep.
😳 Seriously! It was pretty noisey with construction right beside the complex going on until 10pm some nights.
- Susan (7/5): Good -
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Great location. Pool relaxed atmosphere The constant noise from construction site next door.
Bathroom dated, needs some attention
- Peter (6/5): Value is okay for the price and the location excellent. - A wonderful location in the heart of Sanur. The property, like many in Bali post-Covid needs an upgrade. They call it a buffet breakfast, but it's very basic and limited. I stuck to the sunny side up eggs and toast.
- Hugh (7/5): Good - Pool location staff Location
- Bear1976 (8/5): Stay again for sure - Superb location . Very quiet . Beautiful breakfast . Extremely good value for money. Construction next door was a bit loud at times but was mostly through the middle of the day.
- Michelle (7/5): Great location and clean rooms. - Basic breakfast but was OK A shower and not a slippery bath.
- Todd (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rene (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the villa everything was better than I expected. - The room was spacious and clean, I like the private garden terrace I had in the front, had everything I needed The welcome pack didn't have cotton buds which I forgot to bring don't really need a comb, toothpaste kit, shampoo cap or anything else.
- Vanessa (6/5): Great value for money. - Room clean, comfortable bed. Outdoor court yard maintained.
- Andrea (7/5): Good - The noise
- Anom (9/5): Superb -
- Anom (9/5): Superb -
- Sheridan (5/5): Passable -
- Mark (2/5): Sleepless in Sanur - Great location, pool & friendly staff, This hotel is central to the beach, icon shopping centre and many good restaurants & warungs (all price ranges) The construction noise noise next door, some nights it went past 11pm. (Note- this review Aug 2024)
I would not stay here until 2026.
Breakfast kept running out of food.
The room was unclean old & run down, sliding doors didn't open/close, safe was broken, linen & towels discoloured & thread bear.
Shower in bath.
Hard bed (common expected)
Hot water took at least 3-5min.
Basically we could not relax, which was the sole purpose of our holiday
- Kerin (10/5): - The only flaws we noticed were the lack of a functioning plug in the bathroom basin and no hot water to it. For a 3 Star rated hotel it was a great experience. At an age approaching 80, we will seek to return to this place.
- Roger (4/5): No rest - Location, central to everything, large room Noise from large construction site right next door that went on from 8.00am till 10.00pm and maybe for the next 12 months. Breakfast was very limited, cleaning was limited, bathroom needs looking at for older patrons. Air-conditioning was not functioning.
- Nichole (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (8/5): Very good - We were upgraded to a larger room than we originally booked at no extra charge, It was a little old but spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was sufficient. Location was great. Great value for money. Leaving Sanur
- Peter (8/5): Great staff and value for money !! - The staff is very nice and friendly. Good housekeeping the room, bedlinnen and towels are clean and great internet. Location is great; close to the center and the beach. The breakfast is simple but fresh with fresh prepared eggs at your choice.
Sure, for a short stay I can recommend this place if you a budget traveler! Hole this hotel needs an update/ should be renovated. Still it is a good place with a great value for money; you pay for what you get.
- Dawn (10/5): - Great place Great location. Would definitely stay again
- Mike (6/5): - Great location in the centre of Sanur. Rooms are old but ok, shower in bath is difficult getting in and out plus shower rose poor. Breakfast is a buffet served every day cold! Straight from the refrigerator…lol..
- Kim (9/5): We loved staying at Villa Sari and it was great value for money. You can access the beach via the hotel next door which - The property was in a great location and the private courtyard was very useful and made the space feel bigger. The air conditioning wasn’t working to its best capacity. The temp read 17 but it certainly wasn’t that cold.
- tatyana (10/5): - Good location aside but very close to bars, shops etc..
Beach is 100m away, staff are very friendly and helpful
- Dale (7/5): Good -
- Liz (9/5): Best accommodation out of five previous on our travels. Well done to all who made it comfortable and friendly - Our room came with a courtyard which was lovely. Room was tastefully decorated with lots of wardrobe space. Staff friendly and location fabulous. Will be back Bath needs to go and be replaced with walk in shower. That’s it. Great stay
- Basile@ (10/5): Gradation to be of street but close to street and beach - Staff helpful and friendly - went out of their way to help. More green vegetables on the breakfast menu!
- Jack (8/5): Very good - Great location, friendly staff. Good value for money.
- Hadi (8/5): Very good -
- Karl (7/5): Good -
- Monica (4/5): Didn't live up to the deluxe part of the "deluxe villa" - Location was great. There was access to the beach via the resort next door. The fridge was really mouldy, the sheets were stained and the beds didn't smell good at all. Showering in the bathroom meant the water will get all over the floor as its a bath shower combination and the water flows everywhere. Didn't really live up to the deluxe part of the "deluxe villa"
- Stephen (7/5): I had a marvellous time , walks , dining, shopping drinking and relaxing. Not so my wife ! Sick for most of the holiday. - Small , not over crowded. Quiet and relaxing. The Bath ??? Having to step up into a bath to make use of shower ??? Very dangerous for older couples!
- Susan (10/5): Great place to stay. - Great location. Fast internet connection. the room was very spacious!! Wonderful staff. They were very helpful. The pool was very nice too. Each set of rooms had their own pool. Easy to get to the beach from here. Nothing
- Jack (7/5): Good value for money - Location Linen needs to be upgraded
- Melissa (7/5): Convenient and clean. - Great location, quiet, clean and spacious room. Private outdoor area. Comfy bed. Good aircon & plenty of hot water. We really don’t like glass walled bathrooms. Not nice seeing your partner on the pooper. The hotel could put a curtain on the door?
Breakfast was adequate but a bit disappointing. Not much choice & some items often empty.
- Tracey (10/5): Would definitely book this hotel again. - Great location. Central to e every thing. Rooms were clean. Staff were pleasant & helpful. Breakfast was pretty good & fresh, not loads to choose from, but still we were all satisfied. The bed was a little too hard. The pillows in our room were very uncomfortable, my husband described them as “cement bags”, our friends in other rooms said their pillows were fine. The air conditioning in our room was a little noisy, it bothered me as I’m a light sleeper but didn’t bother my husband .
- Sun (10/5): Exceptional -
