• Graciela (6/5): terrible experience - The property location had clean rooms. During our recent stay, we encountered several issues at check-in. Upon our arrival, we discovered that our reserved rooms were unavailable due to reported problems with the accommodations. As a result, we were assigned to two different rooms and ended up paying more than we had anticipated. Additionally, we found that on-site parking was not provided. Guests are required to park at a nearby Walmart or use a paid parking facility, which is inconveniently located. At the end of our stay, the manager charged us a higher rate for both the rooms and the parking. Overall, these factors significantly impacted our experience. Furthermore, the property was noisy, with music playing until 3 AM. This experience was a nightmare, and the staff did not send an email in advance to notify us that the room we had reserved was no longer available. We only found out about this upon check-in, which was very upsetting. The manager/owner seemed uninterested in resolving our issues. I would not stay here again.
• Taheri (1/5): It is a cheap hotel! - We chose to leave early due to multiple serious issues: • The shower had extremely low pressure and no hot water, making it unusable for my daughter. • The electricity was out for over three hours on the first day, though we were told it would only be one hour. • Parking, which was advertised as available, was not only off-site but also came with an unexpected charge and was 10 minutes away—highly inconvenient. When I expressed concern about the shower, I was told by the hotel staff that the pressure and temperature were “normal in Mexico”—a clearly dismissive and inaccurate response. After we left they made the false and unacceptable claim that we caused damage to the property during our recent stay. This accusation is entirely untrue.
• Kenneth (9/5): Great place to rest up in between enjoying everything Playa has to offer. - Hotel Delfin was a great, safe place to get some rest while not out enjoying Playa Del Carmen. Great location at a great price. Two minute walk to the beach and right on 5th Ave in the middle of everything. Ten minute walk to Walmart. Bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked very well, plumbing was good, nice size very cold mini fridge in room. There was a tv as well but didn’t use it. Internet was solid. Room was cleaned daily and all the staff very friendly and accommodating. I stayed on the top level where the rooms have a nice roof deck overlooking 5th Ave. Would absolutely stay again. Some things that might be deal breakers for people. There is loud club music until 2ish in the morning. I was always tired enough to sleep through it without ear plugs. With ear plugs you would probably still hear it, noise canceling ear buds would drown it out. You can’t stay this close to 5th with out hearing thumping music at night so if that would be an issue this place is not for you. Be aware no elevator if you can’t handle stairs.

The staff is super friendly and professional. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. The curtains in the windows are white and allow day light to get through. In case you like to sleep late .
• Nr (9/5): Great little hotel in playa, great price - Location to beaches/shops/both ADO stations. Room size, fridge coffee machine with coffee. Free drinking water. Gorgeous building..outside plus tiling inside. Nice towels and free soap. Staff lovely and met the owner ! The location was very noisy at night. We were aware so it wasn't a problem but despite being heavy sleepers we didn't manage to sleep through completely. However we were offered a move to a quieter room forv2nd night. which we turned down as were only there2 nights. It wasn't s biggie for us but if you sleep light, then be aware music ends at 3.30am.

Handle for closet came off, door to patio came off, no refrigerator when arrive, no TV in our room. We could have known more of the language ourselves, but front desk / reception did not speak any english :(

• Hau (9/5): Excellent room. Well-furnished with good AC. Modern. Good location. Clean room. - Good location. Three blocks from the ADO (Turistica) station, where buses to Tulum, Xel'Ha, Xcaret and Cancun Airport leaves. But the hotel is a 9-minute walk from the ADO (alterna) statoin, where some intercity buses to Playa del Carmen use, which made it difficult to get to the hotel if you have large luggage. No Uber the area. Taxi is expensive. I spent MXN120 for a 3 minute ride. The road outside the hotel is a walking street, meaning the taxi cannot stop right outside the hotel though the walk is short and manageable. Excellent room, well furnished with air-conditioning, meaning you can close the windows and shut out the noise, which was not very serious as the building opposite is also a residential one, not a pub or a restaurant. A good fridge in the room. Some rooms have microwave. A water machine in the reception area. Spacious room. Close to the beach. I met the hotel owner and she was very nice. The room was ready when I reached the hotel at 11:00 am and they let me check in earlier. Superb! The hotel has no elevator, but the staff helped me carry the luggage up. The bus station is three blocks away, but it is still a little bit challenging if you have a lot of luggage.
• Cihan (7/5): Good hotel, but not silent at all - The cleanliness of facilities I knew that it would be very loud, and it was okay for me because I was very tired. However, I cannot imagine staying there for a week.
• Peer (3/5): Stay away if you have the tendency to sleep at night - The Hotel was clean and the location close to the beach can be convenient. There are 2-3 night clubs right next door so you don't have to go anywhere for clubbing, the music will come to you, if you like it or not. It was super noisy and we were not able to sleep until 3am when the clubs closed. Being blamed for "not having done enough research" and offered ear plugs was the cherry on the cake. We had to move after three days and did not get any refund because we booked through booking.com.

There is no elevator, which was fine for me, but others might find this a detriment. The bathroom window in the shower needs a privacy film on it, as there is another building with windows that face the bathroom window. The room was bright and pleasant.The hotel is right in the middle of the shopping area and restaurants and the beach-an east walk to wherever you want to go. I would definitely book this hotel again.
• BillyV (8/5): Very good hotel on 5th Ave - If you're not one of those pampered people who need to be spoiled then this is the hotel for you. There's no elevator or room service or hotel restaurant but you're right on 5th Ave where you can find all the food & drink you like. You're just a 5 minute walk from the beach and all the souvenirs and entertainment you can handle just outside the door. If you're afraid of a few stairs then ask for a main floor room. This place is in the middle of everything a tourist could ask for. If you're looking to catch a ferry to the island of Cozumel you're just a few blocks from the port.

• Jim (6/5): Hotel in Central Playa Del Carmen - Good hotel in great location in central Playa Del Carmen. Main problem was very noisy into the night from loud music and people in the club next door.
• Verified traveler (6/5): - Das Delfin Hotel ist direkt at 5ten Avenida gelegen. Somit ist die Lage sehr zentral und gut (2 min. zum Strand/ Restaurants/etc). Allerdings ist direkt neben dem Hotel eine Karaoke Bar. Wir sind nicht besonders lärmempfindlich, aber der Lärm durch die Bar war nicht auszuhalten. Man muss hierzu allerdings sagen, dass es bei vielen Hotel an der 5ten Avenida so ist. Aus dem Duschabfluss kam leider die meiste Zeit ein undefinierbarer Gestank (Kloake!?) Das Service Team des Hotels ist super nett. Z.B. dekorieren sie für die Gäste die Zimmer an besonderen Tagen wie am Valentinstag mit Rosen. Der Sicherheitsmann schläft in der Nacht allerdings immer und "wacht" somit nicht so wirklich :) Insgesamt für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ok, wir würden ein anderes Hotel mehr abseits der 5ten Avenida ausprobieren.

• Tony Artem (6/5): To loud at night, hotel surrounds by nightclubs. - We usually stay at all inclusive hotels but this time we wanted to experience the culture of Mexico and let me tell you that was the worst experience so many shootings at night five people were killed in Playa Del Carmen right next-door from our Hotel. The staff was really friendly and very little English, The air conditioner was breaking down couple times, in our coffeemaker we had a dead lizard so make sure to check your coffee maker. The water pressure is really low, sinks were clogged, The staff was really friendly and try to help us with all the problems that we had. So you guys decide what you want to do, Will not come back to this area to stay, otherwise vacation was fun.

• Tamara (8/5): Für Lärmunempfindliche empfehlenswert - Ich, weiblich, war alleine unterwegs und war anfangs nervös wegen der Sicherheit. Das Personal im Hotel war jederzeit sehr hilfsbereit. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral direkt an der 5th Ave. Die Fussgängerzone war tags und nachts sehr belebt wodurch ich mich sehr sicher fühlte. Der einzige Negativpunkt war der Lärm, der von der Strasse ins Zimmer drang aber mit Ohrstöpsel konnte ich dennoch gut schlafen.

Bring ear plugs to sleep.TV has many many channels but only 4 or 5 in English.Real convenient hotel to get in and out of with short halls and small open air Lobby.Fridge in room was great to hold some Walmart groceries and kept very cold for food and water and beer!Staff gave us a late 1:30 p.m.to accommodate later flight.

On the pedestrian only avenue, so you can walk, sit out, and people watch, and right in the midst of every kind of restaurant, cafe, and nightlife, just one block from the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Kevin. The room (#4)was very large and extremely clean, the water was always hot, and plenty of free drinking water. Just a note: the description was for a balcony per room, but there really is only one or maybe two. But you can sit on the bench across the street and enjoy the neighborhood. A bargain!

Em especial ao funcionário jovem que fica lá, não lembro o nome dele, mas é muito educado, conversa e dá dicas para os hóspedes! Wi-fi muito bom e pega no quarto! Fiquei no quarto 2º andar, quarto nº 8 e não foi barulhento, pois tem janela que veda muito bem o som de fora. Dormia muito bem! Localização perfeita em Playa del Carmen. Só não tem café da manhã, mas isso não é problema pra mim! Tem restaurantes muito próximos com café, além disso, na esquina, tem o bom mercado OXXO. O hotel fica a cerca de 3 quadras da praia. A 4 quadras do Ferry Boat para ir a Cozumel. A 4 quadras das Vans que te levam a Vários lugares, como Akumal beach, Xel-há, Xcaret, Tulum, cenotes etc. E fica a cerca de 6 quadras, do Walmart hipermercado. VOLTARIA NELE COM CERTEZA!!!

Hard Mexican beds but I just put the extra blanket under the sheet and all was well. Very helpful folks at the desk. I would stay here again without question.

Lo que si tiene que mejorar son los baños son viejos y podria pasar eso pero, falta mas limpieza y cambiar la cortina de baño por tenia moho y sucias. El trato del personal fue bueno muy amables. El aire acondicionado excelente y tv con muchos canales y internet gratis fue lo que me gusto

• IRINA (8/5): Замечательный отель для активных туристов. - Отель расположен просто замечательно, непосредственно на 5 улице, в гуще туристической тусовки. Абсолютно ненавязчивый персонал, готовый всегда помочь. Безусловно, отель очень удобен для мобильных туристов, не сидящих в номере, а посещающих многочисленные достопримечательности и аттракционы Ривьеры Майя. В номере есть все необходимое и в рабочем состоянии: туалет, душ, телевизор, потолочный вентилятор, кондиционер, кофеварка и принадлежности. Уборка ежедневная. Номера по соотношению цена-качество отличаются и состоянием и видом из окон. Отсутствие завтрака в отеле нисколько не напрягает при обилии кафе и ресторанов вблизи. Море в пяти минутах ходьбы, рядом обменник с хорошим курсом. Самые большие впечатления, конечно не от отеля, а от Ривьеры Майя в целом.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Bra läge - Bra läge mitt i PDC men utan att störas nämnvärt av ljud från omgivningen. Ganska slitet hotell men fungerade ok och personal var vänlig. Saknade balkong.
• Kathleen (8/5): Comfortable, convenient, economical hotel. - Hotel was as prsented in the pictures and write up. Staff was very helpful, responsive and friendly. Location very convenient,...right on 5th Avenue, heart of the tourist district, and a pedestrian street. Our peference was to stay in town rather than in a resort where you are confined, more or less, to the resort property. The location gave us an opportunity to walk around the streets of PDC away from the touristy area, interact with locals,and discover many small, local, restaurants and shops that provided a better experience for us. We were in Room #1, which is next to a small restaurant that played music, but it was off by 10:00. We did say something to the receptionist about the music the 2nd night we were there, and the next day they offered us another very nice room, but we decided to stay where we were and it worked out fine. Very clean, not luxurious, but comfortable, convenient, and economical. All in all a very good experience.

• Alissa (10/5): Great location, nice hotel! - The location is perfect - right in the center where all the action is. But it is quiet enough, the staff is super friendly and helpful, room was clean and beautiful, we got a room on the top floor, with a private balcony and lounge chirs. Free wi-fi in lobby and in the room! Downside is that there is no elevator (top floor with suitcases - not easy) and the water pressure was very low (but that's a general problem in Mexico hotels). Overall - we were really happy with our stay.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Great, simple hotel in prime location - Great, simple hotel at an excellent price! It's in a prime -- albeit slightly loud -- location. Friendly staff, clean rooms, everything I was looking for.
• Mike (8/5): Just what i was looking for - As a single guy traveling alone this hotel was just what i was looking for..... simple, clean and affordable! It is located right on 5th avenue close to the beach and within walking distance of anything you would ever need such as restaurants, bars, shops, nightclubs, or grocery stores such as Wal-mart and MEGA. My room was on the top floor with a spacious roof top terrace with 2 sun loungers, also a table with 2 chairs. It was decorated with plants and had a partial ocean view to see the sunrises and a great view of 5th avenue to people watch. The room was very clean and had a safe for my valuables and a small refrigerator for keeping drinks and snacks in. The maid service did an excellent job and employees at front desk always had a smile on their faces to greet you and were willing to help you with whatever they could. There were water coolers on every floor for drinking water which was nice. The only drawback i could maybe give is if you have trouble climbing stairs as there is no elevator...which i do not so it was perfectly fine for me. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great little affordable place to stay right in the heart of Playa del Carmen. I will be staying here on future visits to Playa!
• Greger (8/5): Bra wi-fi - Bra Hotel nära huvudgatan och två minuters promenad till stranden. Ingen frukost men det går att köpa i närheten. Saknar också balkong eller uteplats.
• william (8/5): clean room on the strip - As in almost any property in PDC you have to be prepared to deal with noise form the street. Room was clean ,however this is a" Mexican Style " hotel and has the hard beds. Noise level was acceptable and the staff were helpful.
• Mike (6/5): Good location - The hotel is right on the main tourist/pedestrian street, which makes it noisy in the evening, but the noise/music ends by 11pm. A room at the back or over side street may be quieter. The staff is very helpful. I printed out my boarding pass on their computer. Only a few speak much English. It is just one block from the beach, which is rather narrow at the bottom of 6th Street, especially at high tide. Excellent restaurants nearby, a variety of night life, tour opportunities. Karen's Steak house has excellent authentic music every evening. It is also 2 blocks from the ABO bus station, and 3 blocks from the central park (and a wider beach) and the ferry to Cozumel Island. Tours are available to nearby Mayan ruins and adventure/water/ amusement parks. Internet is available, but we did not use it.
• Beverly (10/5): Hotel Delfin a good value - The hotel Delfin was a treat for our one night in town. Close to everything, but quiet and very nice. We'd highly recommend it.
• Judy (8/5): Lovely - The hotel was simple but very lovely. Our room had a TV, small fridge and no phone. The attendants were pleasant & helpful. We were right above the main street for shopping & restaurants. Comfortable but not fancy. We really enjoyed it.
• David (6/5): Nothing fancy, but clean and decent. - We stayed just one night. Room 14 is awesome, has an attached private terrace on the roof and you can see the ocean from there. The room was clean and spacious. When I asked a hotel staff for the wifi pw and he didn't know, he ran down 3 flights of stairs to find out for me. Great price for room/location.

• Susan and Steve (10/5): Great find! - Hotel Delfin has many strengths. They include: outstanding location, free WiFi, front desk staffed 24hrs., super friendly service by all staff employees and owners with regards to recommendations for restaurants, tours, etc., Very clean with reasonable pricing. Nice relief from the typical sterile hotel atmosphere, has all the basic amenities and gives a sense of place with character and cleanliness. We would (and will!) definitely return.

Even though on 5th ave, our room was quiet and had a lovely deck overlooking the street but very private. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was lovely and clean
• Verified traveler (8/5): Petit hôtel sympa - 2 nuits passées dans cet hôtel. Placé sur la 5a avenida. Donc, au coeur de Playa del Carmen. A 2 mn à pied de la plage, et à 5-10 mn de la station d'autobus ADO. Chambre spacieuse. Personnel sympa. Par exemple, n'ayant pas de serviette de plage, j'ai par curiosité demandé si je pouvais en louer une et on me l'a carrément prêtée. J'ai pu donc profiter de la plage. J'ai passé 2 bonnes journées dans cette ville.

(10/5): Very pleased... - Great ...nice Hotel...close to everything people need during vacation times...2 blocks from a very nice beach....very closed to restaurants...to shopping ....to grocery stores ( important to buy beer, since they are a must because the heat ) ....quiet rooms...clean....great service...very friendly and accommodating staff......a great place to stay at a good price..... No Parking ,but manageable since there are free municipal parking just two blocks away.....Hotel definitely recommended.
• Gary (8/5): Great little hotel. - Spent 8 days here, mid July '14. Stayed in Penthouse, room 14. Hotel Delfin is very affordable. I used this mainly as a place to lay my head after day long excursions for the first 5 days. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Room cleaned and left with towels artistically placed on the king sized bed daily. Oversized shower looking out to the nice view. Free WiFi available. Small safe and fridge in room. Beach towels available at desk. 24hr desk. Overall very nice stay.

• Tércia (10/5): Melhor relação custoxbenefício - Passei um pente-fino nas opções de hotéis, até escolher este. Muito bem situado, na 5a Avenida. Do hotel se vê a melhor parte da praia! Quarto grande, a equipe do hotel é cuidadosa com a limpeza e com o nosso bem-estar. Fizemos compras no walmart, pertinho do hotel, o que nos garantiu um bom café-da-manhã, já que no quarto tem frigobar. Wifi funcionou muito bem. Rodoviária fica perto, o que torna possível ir a pé. PERFEITO!!!
