• Carlos Fabricio S (10/5): Estúdio bem próximo à praia, completo, muito bem decorado e conservado, com enxoval de qualidade e com vaga de estaciona - É um apartamento tipo studio com uma grande cama de casal e um sofá cama + minicapa com cozinha completa. Utensílios de ótima qualidade. Acabei moda muito bem 3 pessoas ou família com 2 crianças. O lugar é limpo, bem conservado, seguro, com um zelador que está sempre por perto. Enxoval de qualidade e excelentes utensílios de cozinha. São 6 cottages no terreno, cada um com 1 boa vaga de garagem, mas que não é coberta ( importante pois todos os estacionamentos da área são pagos) No local há uma lavanderia com máquina de lavar e secadora por moedas, que é muito pratica e barata ( acho que USD 1,50 por ciclo e o sabão e o amaciante é oferecido gratuitamente) Fica a 2 quadras da praia, da para ir a pé em menos de 5 minutos e cada unidade tem 2 cadeiras e 1 guarda sol para ser utilizado gratuitamente. Tem um Walgreeens bem próximo e um Publix a 5 minutos de carro. Gostamos de tudo !
• Todd (9/5): Awesome getaway from Minnesota cold temperatures. - Awesome manager! She let us in early as everything was ready. Checked to see if we needed anything. Very accommodating. Explained all the rules of the cottages so we did not have any problems. Explained all the things to do in the area ie: grocery stores, bars,entertainment, sights to see,local boardwalk ect. Overall our stay was Top notch. I would highly recommend these quaint nostalgic Cottages. Very well maintained. Would we stay Again? Yes! Absolutely Nothing!

• Labyed (9/5): Heerlijk verblijf! - Heel gezellige cottage, zeer proper, Elaine was super behulpzaam met al onze vragen. Locatie is zeer goed, straat verwijderd van het strand en begin van de boulevard. Voor kinderen ook een leuke speeltuin en speel fonteintje in de buurt. We raden deze zeker aan! Alles was dik ok! Enkel jammer dat er geen vaatwasser was, maar dat is enige minpunt.

• Catgirl (8/5): The Best Cottage in Pompano - The Cottage was quaint and lovely. It was so well kept and was spotlessly clean. Elaine takes much pride in her establishment and it shows. Everything you could think of needing she had in the Cottage. The location was so close to the beach. Very very well maintained. There wasn't anything to complain about. The only thing that was hard for me was the bathroom was very small. I really wish it had been somewhat larger. Other than that it was magnificent.

It was walking distance to Pompano Beach and all the are has to offer. We would absolutely recommend Cottages by the Ocean.

• Kenna (9/5): Relaxing stay at the cottage - Elaine was wonderful and met us the first day to orient us to the property and activities and restaurants near the cottage. She was able to get us in a few hours early as we had a very early flight which we appreciated so much. The property was very clean. You choose your own code for the door so entry was keyless. The air conditioning worked well. It was only a five minute walk to wonderful row of restaurants near the pier. It was a quiet, safe neighborhood. No pool but otherwise it was great.

• Dale (10/5): - The place is very nice! The grounds are beautiful, the cottage I stayed in (queen studio) was clean, well maintained and had a lot of homey touches. Elaine is an amazing hostess! She is very helpful, friendly and creative. Each cottage has its own parking space. The beach is a two block walk and Elaine provides supplies to spend a day at the beach. I wish I had been there for a vacation so I could have taken advantage of all that was offered. There is construction going on as the area is growing fast, but you don’t hear any of it. If I visit area again I’d definitely stay there again.
• Alexander (8/5): Very good - Great location. Good cleaning. The host, Elaine, is very helpful. Kitchen is fully equipped for long stay. Everything what is needed for beach vacation was provided. There is a very strong sewage smell in the one-bedroom apartment bathroom. Also, fees for dogs are very high. Much higher than in all other places.

Cute and on a quiet street, just a short distance to the beach and nearby restaurants. Had a very happy 3 day stay! The bathroom is quite small.

• Stephen (10/5): A great little find! - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cottages by the Ocean and will happily stay again. My wife's first comment when we stepped inside was, 'What a great little find!" While the interiors are obviously a bit dated (which really only adds to their charm) they are impeccably clean and the tropical landscaping is beautifully maintained. Communication from the owner, Elaine, was wonderful. Timely, complete and very personal. Elaine, Chrysie (housekeeping) and Jaime (maintenance) were so helpful, very friendly and genuinely made us feel that our satisfaction was their only priority. Very highly recommended.

The staff were excellent, the kitchen had everything one need to cook a nice meal. The AC, TV, Wi-FI worked very well. Comfortable beds. Beach is just 5 min away, and Walgreens , Publix and restaurants are in walking distance.

I had a small dog and was able to take her for walks in the neighborhood. Not sure why I paid $300.00 a week for housekeeping?

We really liked sitting in the lanai. Plenty of restaurants in area, some walking distance. TV was difficult to operate, low def cable. Heavy rains on day 1. Ocean was too rough for swimming. Surprised that the only free parking in Pompano was on Cottage property.

• Joanne (10/5): Excellent find in Pompano! - Loved our stay at Cottages by the Ocean. This place is so quaint. The cottage is clean and has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. The bed was super comfy and the area was safe & quiet. We enjoyed the screened porch while eating breakfast and the location! It was literally a three minutes walk to a very private section of Pompano Beach. We were also able to walk to the downtown main area with the pier, shops, and restaurants. Really, the location cannot be beat. Elaine, the owner, met us our first night and was very welcoming and informative. She gave us a restaurant recommendation that led to the best dinner we had all week, with a private ocean view right from our table. I can’t remember the name of the restaurant right now, it was right next to Oceanic restaurant. But if you’re headed to Pompano, book a stay at Cottages by the Ocean and Elaine will certainly be able to recommend the beautiful view restaurant to you as well. You won’t be disappointed with your stay here! We will be back :) The bathroom was tight, but fine for the two of us. Would love to have seen a small First Aid Kit somewhere in the cottage. I cut my finger at one point & needed to wrap it in paper towels until we could get a Band-Aid. But a very minor issue.

• Peteler (8/5): 4th of July weekend - It is close to the Beach ⛱️ Had everything we needed . We had our dogs with us and it was convenient to walk them . The way the Cottages are situated makes it private. The AC was a problem as it was not cool when we were in the bed. The ceiling fan is over the couch. So it was cool ther.Very small bathroom. And the TV is a problem,. Hard to figure out. My husband lives to fall asleep with the TV on.So he had problem sleeping.

Welcome instructions were very clear and comprehensive. Anything you could possibly need comes with the apartment (with the exception of coffee, which we should have thought to bring ourselves). Had a great time!

Convenient but quite. The cable TV service was pretty in/out during our visit but not sure where the issue lies.
• Black (9/5): Well located character lodgings in Pompano. - These quirky 1940s cottages are very well located & lovingly kept. The garden area is gorgeous & full of wildlife, access to beach and on foot access to plenty of places to eat. The main bed was supremely comfortable & the period full sized kitchen useful. The sofa bed wasn't brilliant, the porch area needed a good sweep which we did ourselves. The lawn moving & leaf blowing were done at about 9am. I'm an early riser but still like some peace at breakfast time. The gardener then continued doing quieter tasks, it would have seemed sensible to swap the duties around.

The reception/check in at 4pm and check out at 10am but the housekeeping Lady Doan was flexible and very helpful. The only change/improvement that We suggest is to install an a/c unit in the bedroom because in july can be hot. The other is to retouched paint for example in the bathroom door. We Will return. They were very proactive when it came to making our stay as trouble free as possible. I don’t think you can find move value for your lodging budget than Cottages by the Ocean. Would highly recommend it to anyone. Definitely not our last visit.

We realized after our trip that having a pool would have been ideal but the cottage was clean, kitchen area was perfect for feeding small children and the short walk (5minutes) to the beach was just the right amount of steps to unwind and relax.

• S (10/5): Excellent cottages by the ocean - Excellent place for long- or short-term stay, within easy walking distance of Pompano beach. Free parking. These are not hotel rooms, but rather small home rentals. Laundry service is not included, but on the other hand, there's a full kitchen and dining area. The cottage included beach towels and easily portable beach chairs. The CEO went out of her way to be available and to meet all guests personally.

Make sure to talk with Elaine, the owner, for recommendations on all sorts of activities in the area. Cottages is on a secluded side street and very quiet. The place was very clean and well-kept, with a full kitchen, living room, bedroom and bath. Very nice place.

• Mindy (8/5): Nice facility - Nice room with good space and easy walking distance from the ocean.
• Anthony (10/5): We would definitely go again. - Really nice little bungalow. Only two blocks from the beach. Very nice management. I had a issue with a outside light on and texted the owner and she came out herself and took care of it. She lives off site so this was no small thing! Very happy with everything. We highly recommend Cottages.
• Håvard (8/5): Fint opphold - Dette er små hytter med det du trenger. Ligger rett ved stranden, men uten at du kan se denne. Et stille området. Hytta var ren og fin når vi kom, men service var noe skittent, så dette måtte vi vaske selv. Du må selv stå for vask av service og slikt når du er der, samt det du bruker av ekstra håndklær osv. Eieren var veldig hyggelig.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Great little place close to the beach. Very quiet and well equipped. Bathroom could be a little larger, but apart from that everything is quite large.
• Rosa (8/5): Nice, comfortable, quiet, nice location. - Nice little hotel with a small but pleasant pool. Nice neighborhood and 2 blocks from the Ocean. Room is nicely decorated and clean. Air conditioning a bit noisy but it was OK. There is no 'office' attendant, so if you need anything or have a request you have to leave a message and "your call will be answered within 24hrs", and they do, but immediate requests probably would not be handle 'immediately' (I did not have any 'immediate' problems, so it was ok).
• Stewart (10/5): Great location for Pompano and nearby communities. - This was far better than staying at first class hotel but the same price, but rather than aroom, aone bedroom apartment.
• Ove (10/5): Wonderful accomodation in charming cottage - We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful place. Nice and comfortable, cery clean and well equipped. We enjoyed every minute of our quiet, relaxing and very private stay in the charming cottage. Very fine service by the very friendly owner. We are eager to get back and stay next time we return to the area.
• Niki (10/5): Perfect... :) - My daughters and I stayed here since we were participating in the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation 5k. I wanted a place that was small, quaint and not a hotel... this was perfect! It was wonderful being able to prepare and eat meals at home instead of out. My favorite feature was the screened-in front porch. Oh! And we were a block and a half from the beach!! Pompano Beach is a wonderful place to stay- smaller city, but all the amenities of a larger city. Most things are within walking distance and is a safe neighborhood. Even at night. I give Cottages by the Ocean 5 stats and a huge smiley! :)
