- Angela (6/5): Was thankful motel six was in the area. - I had a twenty dollar off, but lady didn't know how to do that particular one. Or how to use my AARP deduction. But she was nice. Didn't like parking so far away from my room. My vehicle wasn't in view. I need to carry my handicap placard always. And man next to us in room next door, made my daughter uncomfortable.

But, the night staff person was terrible, so we got off to bad start. Bed was extremely lumpy, like an old pull out couch. Glad to leave. Wish I had did research before.

Somehow front desk rented our room and a man was trying to get in after 10pm. We were already asleep and we’re woken in terror. Good thing we had the security latch engaged.

- Greg (9/5): Pleasant stay, after a shakey start. - The front desk personnel were very professional and extremely helpful. The first room had a problem with the heater, it would only blow cold 🥶 air. The temperature that day was only in the low 40's and very foggy. I went to the office and let them know about the problem and was given a different room without any problem.

I asked about the coffee that I was told would be out at 6:00 am, and she stated she just got there and it would be sometime before ready. I checked out at about 6:30 am. No smile or anything, Just unpleasant.

- Giovanna (2/5): I really enjoyed the pleasant sound of the highway flowing past in the . - How can I wax poetic on the Santa Hella Motey 6? We arrived late, the office man checked us in. They charge 25$ for dogs, which is a third of the cost of the room itself. The room was warm! Which is something. There was a dead fly on the nightstand, several other living ones about the place. The mattress was hilariously depressed. Deep craters threatening to take us to the very depths of the box spring itself. I mean, comically inadequate mattress. We were, luckily, traveling with our foldable mattress, so we slapped that sucker on there. It made it somewhat sleepable. For some reason, they put us in the room directly in the front next to the office, so two dudes were going on about something or other around 3am. The dog responded in kind. I almost stuck my head out, but flopped over & continued sleeping fitfully in the bog of pain. The water was hot! The heater worked. No micro, no fridge, no coffee maker. Didn’t try the TV. Located next to lots of fast food & a walking distance gas station. If you’re broke, it works!

- Paul (7/5): Santa Nella 6 stay - Manny at the front desk was great! His customer service is commendable. He went above & beyond to help make our stay as comfortable as possible. The first room we checked into had no heat. Apparently the HVAC system was on the brinks. We addressed it with Manny & he was able to track down a unit with functioning heater. Unfortunately the bed in that unit sunk in when sitting/laying in it. You could feel the wear/springs & the pillows were clumpy. We were just happy to have heat since it was cold that evening.

- michael (1/5): i will never stay here again... i froze but was to tired after long travel, did not take a shower - nothing many issues but the new room they placed me had no heat in 40 degree weather.. bathroom light out... rumbling in walls... this after they had placed me in a room that had been previously used with a used bed and missing towels, etc... there is more but you get the idea.

- Vieda (6/5): - The room was clean, except the showerhead was totally rusted at the base. Underneath the sink in the bathroom needs to be repaired and the light by the bed did not work. It needed the bulb to be replaced. There was no coffee pot or microwave. The hot water took a long time to get hot and then it almost scolded me. There was an old hamburger left in the refrigerator from McDonald’s and the truck traffic noise all night was like sleeping on the side of the freeway.

Only 1 set of towels. Homeless man on other side of driveway opening. I gave the eldery man food. Super noisy ( freeway and i could hear the room next door talking. Tv great. Table and chairs great. Fridge great. No microwave. Coffee in am in office was great. Pool hasn't been in operation for a long time. Some grass areas need to be mowed. 2 feet high.
- Alan (6/5): - Food is within walking distance. The pool is bone dry and awaiting maintenance or refurbishment...non-usable area for guests. The mattress in my room should have been changed out years ago. It was old, tired and worn out. There was a concave depression in it that made laying or sitting there uncomfortable. My room was in the section closest to the freeway. The freeway is right next door! The traffic noise is very loud. If you run your AC fan all night you can drown out the traffic (even Hwy 5 calms down to very little traffic after 12 - 1 am). The shower is a small little cubicle with a cloth curtain. It works fine...just very outdated. When I entered the room, I was immediately greeted by the flies that had taken up residence in this room. I spent the next hour with a washrag as a swatter. Every time I left for a while and then came back to the room, there were new flies to swat! I rented this room over the internet and I based the choice upon location and the pictures provided. If I had seen the location while physically there in Santa Nella, this would not be my choice.

- dtr2001 (4/5): Rough...try and find an alternative - Not what we expected. Yes, it's cheap but very run down. Check in staff slow and unfriendly. Door on our room had been forced multiple times. Room wasn't clean, hairs all over the bathroom. Ice machine not working and pool out of action. Didn't leave our room unoccupied as we didn't feel it was safe. Glad to leave the next day! Only plus, there is Taco Bell and Denny's next door and fuel.

The desk manager was very rude and disrespectful, also rooms reserved were not available and I had reserved a room a week in advance!! So many people rely upon reviews and all I have to say is Be Aware and stay away from this place find some place else more clean and safe. This place is not safe for your family and unsanitary!!

- Daniel (6/5): Duck Hunter Review - Didn’t feel like an $87 stay. It suited our purpose for hunting trip with hunting dog but beds, sheets and pillows definitely need upgrading. There were cuts and holes in the aged bedding including an old cigarette burn. I wish I had paid double for the hotel next to Andersen’s or a different place with better bedding. Otherwise clean room and dog friendly. Windows don’t have screens or open far. Maybe a safety issue but some fresh air would have been nice. They have a decent dog relief area near the front office but no poop bags in the box. We stayed on a Friday night and no issues with noise other than road noise being close to freeway exit.

- Peter (10/5): A Well Managed Property - Asked for a ground floor room, away from street noise and we got it! This is a superior property, with good customer service. We'll stay here rather than properties further down the 5. We've stopped staying at several Motel 6 properties (Carlsbad, Button Willow, Oceanside) because of bad treatment and maintenance issues. I always call to confirm a ground floor room, for we senior citizens, and when one of us gets there, they haven't honored the written or verbal request. Or their promise! And I get lies and inconsisten stories from staff. But, we'll book into this property again. Please take a lesson from the managers of this property and teach it to others.
