Guest Reviews
- Aina (2/5): - This motel completely closed, I was shocked.
- PhilipC1677 (2/5): Hotel should not be accepting bookings - We booked this hotel for the last night of our Arizona road trip because it was near the airport. After a 5 hour drive through the mountains we arrived at 4.00 to find the building surrounded by a security fence with "do not enter" signs. Fortunately it was early enough to find an alternative. I had been sent an email the day before saying they looked forward to my visit. AVOID.
- Damika (6/5): - Was okayyy, slept fine
- DAVID (4/5): - Looked a bit run down
- Jasmine (6/5): - N/A
- kathrynpB3753HT (8/5): friendly laid back old fashioned with trees!! - I've stayed there is quite a few times and I do so for the price and it's close by convenience stores it's got a lot of nice scenery all around and I like the old fashioned look of the hotel trees it looks like a house it's like a big house very kind people considerate and if there are roaches that's just the way the world works that's life Don't be snobby be friendly and kind and respectful and that's how they are thank you guys

- Tanner (2/5): - Don’t stay here
- Cassi (4/5): - The room never got cleaned and there were bugs and roaches dead and alive in the room and bathroom. The tv didn’t work and they didn’t have any WiFi.

- Shellie (2/5): - We left after 20 min . The curtain was hanging from the wall . The lights were broken . Tv hardly worked . The bathroom door didn’t shut and the smoke detector didn’t even have a battery . I am hoping for a refund . Not even close to stay able
- Luke (4/5): - Towels were small and scratchy, bed linens were rough, the location was rather sketchy (there were homeless encampments nearby)
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't stay here! - They have no Wi-Fi on this property. There's no refrigerator no microwave in the room. My TV was broken. Sketchy neighborhood lots of homeless around the property I was worried about my car in that neighborhood
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Just horrible ppl
- Dylan (2/5): - First room they gave us wasn’t made. Second was made but had stains everywhere. One room on the second floor looked like the bed was shoved up against the glass with a broke window. Dirty place
- Ashley (4/5): - First room door didn’t close or lock properly. Second room had water issues

Unfortunately the room was not cleaned
- fred steven (6/5): - Staff is great, rooms clean, and property condition about average, but it's not the best neighborhood. I've stayed in much worse places. If youre watching your $, this is a good choice.
- Erica (6/5): - The light over the sink did not work. The towel bar was hanging off the wall on one side, there were holes in the curtains and the AC didn't work.
- Andrea (10/5): - 👍
- Carol (8/5): - Clean
- Y1014YRmercedesm (10/5): Excelent - We arrive at 3 am, at the begining, a litle desapoint for my, decision,
After 10 am, the housekeeping theam, start working. And we meet, a laundry person, and Martina, how give to us direction, to hiking places, and our opinion chace 100%, is a old place, so Good housekeeping team, thank for you help
- Leah (4/5): - I didnt mind this motel but at the same time the staff were not the best. I waited 30 minutes to check out and no one came and came and helped me. Ended up leaving and calling them to check out later.
- Jon (8/5): Service with Kindness - Owner was helpful and a kind man.
- James (2/5): - I always feel like a fool when I think I found a fairly priced property, but then see I got less than I paid for. I wish I could show photos to others on Expedia, our lampshade was held together with a few uneven pieces of black tape, pool was out of Breaking Bad, and ice machine was broken, as was the wifi. We are back in Canada now, luckily it is below freezing here still, and we hope keeping our bags on the deck for a few days might freeze the bed bugs. Anyways, my fault, I should have read the reviews
- Geoffrey (4/5): - Sorry, but this property was awful and should not be allowed to carry the Motel 6 name. The total amenities in the room were two towels and one wash cloth, and there were two of us. No coffee maker, no mini-fridge, no microwave, no shampoo or conditioner samples, no plug for the bathtub, water pressure in the sink was low, floors were dirty, minimal bed clothes and walls were completely bare.
- Lori (2/5): - Not enough towels, were mostly small ones. No shampoo, body wash ordered and when asked the staff for one, was told no they don’t have any at all…. This is the first time we’ve EVER been told no shampoo even at other Motel 6s we’ve gotten shampoo :(
- Troy (8/5): - "For the price, this hotel is a great deal. The room was clean and simple, with all the essentials we needed. The location is convenient, close to public transport and local attractions. While the decor is a bit dated, everything was functional and comfortable. It’s not luxury, but it offers great value for money. Ideal for a short stay or budget-conscious travelers."
- davemJ5456RU (2/5): ROACHES - Booked a room for my cousin and disabled aunt for a one night stay in March to shorten their trip to the airport in the morning. Found multiple roaches crawling on the walls. Front desk said they would send someone to "take care of it." They left
- Damion (4/5): - Property was not well maintained
- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible place to stay - Filthy. First room had disgusting stains on the bed, cigarette burns in the comforter and smelled strongly of smoke. Second room was falling apart. A/c unit buttons all broken or missing. Lamp switch entirely missing so had to unscrew light bulb to turn off the lamp. Paint flaking, bed sheet so worn you can literally see through it. Holes in doors poorly patched. Absolute dump of a motel.
- Mary Kaye (2/5): - The property was terrible, a sign inside the door of our room stated to lock the door with the dead bolt for your own safety. There was no shampoo or conditioner, no hair dryer, one hand towel. One of the hard back chairs had bent legs on it. The mattress was not the best and the bed linens were old and worn. There was no coffee maker in the room but there was a small microwave and a small refrigerator. There was a lot of “questionable people” hanging around. For instance, one guy came up to us while we were entering our room and tried to sell us a pair of sneakers??? The property did not have a “good feel” about it.I will never go back there and I would advise others not to go.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Avoid. - Not sure if the floor has been swept in the last three months… Bathroom smells of mold… Bedding stains. Do I really need to go on?
- Jessica (2/5): - I stayed 30 minutes and left. The room smelled like cat urine and was absolutely disgusting. Stained bedding, broken lamps, dirty floor, burn marks on tub and walls, tv remote being held together by tape and didnt work, overall very bad experience. Will never come back. And they wont refund me!
- Amie (2/5): - This place was filthy - here are a few examples:
1 - curtain on window looked like a paint dropcloth with stains all over it
2 - one of the beds had sheets with what looked like huge bloodstains on them
3 - shower floor was dirty
4 - water barely came out of sink
5 - sink drain was clogged with hair and other disgusting stuff
6 - air conditioning vent had random pieces of styrofoam stuck in it
Beyond those things the general feeling was complete disgust, old, dirty, etc. We stayed there knowing it had poor reviews only because it was inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area and we only needed to sleep there before getting on a plane. I would never take a shower there. My kids wouldn't even brush their teeth there. Really gross.
- Kristen (2/5): - This hotel is disgusting. Smelled like smoke even though it was a smoke free room. The sheets were stained and the bathroom was repulsive.
- Verified traveler (2/5): It's just gross. - I've stayed in many older properties that are well maintained - this is not one of them. The sign out front advertises wifi, but the weathered sign at reception says it is not available. No coffee machine. Lamp was broken. Half roll of toilet tissue. No hand towels. Unpainted, patched walls. thread bare sheets so I could see there was no matress cover. Stained bed spread. Walk ways have not been cleaned in years. Non-smoking room that smelled like smoke. And many guests that I would guess are renting by the hour.
- Enriqueta (2/5): Don't stay here - Terrible condition of room.
- Gregory (2/5): - The room was in awful shape. Many things broken or missing
- Paul (4/5): - Sorry, broken tv and unsafe area
- Cere (10/5): Wow Location! - I love this part of Phoenix! This location is so convenient and affordable! Great staff and rooms as expected. Thank you, Motel 6.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Motel 6s are getting worse than I recall. Rooms have broken down fixtures, towels are not fully stocked (no washcloth or hand towels). Bed sheets are stained, tubs are dirty, drain doesn’t work, faucet not securely fastened, heater did not work (was moved to a room with somewhat working heater).
- Diana (2/5): - no Internet, no coffee machine,. microwave no clean sheets. Water is dripping can't brush teeth.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Just awful - Front desk staff very good and very helpful, no Kleenex, no shampoo, only 1 face cloth for 2 people, only 2 pillows, very small room, bed against wall, top sheet was too small for the bed therefore we were sleeping under just blankets, no extra blankets,no WiFi, bed not comfortable, we were told we could leave vehicle for 2 days until we returned that was good, men in parking lot wanted us to let them into our room not sure if security would stop people from harassing customers when they are in parking lot, someone inserted metal into wall plug in this is very dangerous .
- Lisa (6/5): - The bathroom light does not stay on. There are only hand towels for shower needs in the room. One light has a light bulb. Room is dim.
- Miguel (2/5): No hot water - Low rating because there was no hot water available, i didnt Bother requesting another room or anything as it was just for the night, i never Write reviews much less bad ones but no water is super irritating
- Jasmin (2/5): - As soon as I entered the room smelled like cigarettes. The beds weren’t done there was no towels the tub was dirty.
- Brett (2/5): - Shower didn’t get hot, in fact it was freezing cold and unusable. Safety latch on the door was broken/missing. Smoke detector wasn’t plugged in or attached to the wall.
- Charles (2/5): - Found blood in the room and holes in the bedding in a small crampped datk room with a broken lock. Reqeusted money back and was told no. Don't bring your family here. Bottle opener on the sink that could be a plus for you not not for me. Seems like a place where dreams go to die.
- Karolina (2/5): - A lot of things didn’t work, like the shower knob, and there was no hot water. Dirty tub and shower curtain, dirty sheets, it smelled. The hanging rod in the bathroom broke and fell on a sink, there were cockroaches coming from under the bath tub, I killed a couple. Sheets were stained, I decided to sleep in my sleeping bag. I have always loved staying in Motel 6, but this one was the worst ever
- Noorullah (2/5): - No wifi. No room service
- John (2/5): - Old motel needs to be remodeled. 1. floor was dirty, swept but not mopped. My feet were filthy just walking around the room. 2. Desk had no plug. I had to unplug the fridge to use for my laptop. 3. Only 2 towels, no wash cloths or soap or shampoo. Had to use one towel as a floor mat for the shower. Used it to walk around to keep my feet clean. 4. Shower had black over many tiles, several tiles had buckled and I'm sure were leaking water into the wall. 5. Luke warm water, after 15 minutes of waiting I just took a warm shower. 6. Faucet leaked. 7. Free Wifi didn't work and they had no idea when it would be up. No discount for that. 8. No phone in the room. If I had a problem, which I did, I would have to go to the office. Now for the good. 1. It was cheap. 2. Bed was clean. 3. Heater worked fine and quickly. My advice, pay a little more and stay somewhere else.
- Abdalla (2/5): - The worst one
- Jason (2/5): - Many cigarette burns on my sheets and walls. All of my clothing wreaked of smoke just from being in the room overnight. The lampshade was tagged with graffiti, another torn to shreds. May dispute the charge as the room was below any possible minimum standard.
- Duran (6/5): - .
- Jimmy (2/5): - There is absolutely nothing to like. Managed by shmucks. Hands down the dirtiest place I have ever been at.
- Jimmy (2/5): - Read this a few times.
DO NOT GO THERE
A pathetic sh..t hole
- Jimmy (2/5): - Dirty and dirt bag place
- Jimmy (2/5): - Absolutely handsome down the worst place I have ever been at.
Do not waist your money there.
- MARLENE (2/5): - We did not stay here. Floors very sticky . Cigarette burns on bed spread and blanket. Stains on sheet. I went to front desk and asked for new bedding and he said they had no spares sheets or bedding. We asked for refund and he said ok but to also call to inform Orbitz , which we did. Filthy.
- Jasmine (2/5): - There were roaches climbing on us while sleeping. They were in the toilet, in the tub
- juan carlos (2/5): - I didn't like because was everything damage the sink and the light wasn't working and the table was burned and were cockroaches on the bathroom
- Amanda (2/5): - The WiFi was down the entire time
- Marisela (6/5): - Room had strong smoke smell.
- Ronda (2/5): - This property should not be listed on Expedia. It is uninhabitable. Doors do not shut properly. You can see daylight through door jambs. They do not lock, deadbolt ot latch properly. The bedspreads were stained and the room was filthy. I was forced to stay in another hotel, and Expedia has not issued a refund for this horrible room. I am hesitant to use Expedia again.
- Marquita (4/5): - This was the worst Motel6 I've been to all year. If it weren't for the kind staff, i would have raised holy trouble. Just not a good stay.
- Daniel (2/5): - Disgusting.
- MJ (2/5): - i would not stay here again
- Jeffrey (2/5): - Neighborhood a little sketchy, placed was small and smelled strongly of disinfectant. Went somewhere else instead.
- Anthony (2/5): - I've seen okay and bad Motel 6s, when I arrived I knew this one was bad by observing the exterior. When I checked in, I was told the wrong room, and when trying to open the wrong room door, I was met by a man in his underwear. In my room, the bed had hair in the sheets as well as a brown stain. I slept in my jeans on top of the covers. The shower pipes were protruding from the wall, and the tub stained purple. The sign on the door telling me to lock the deadbolt and the chain did not bring comfort. The TV was cracked, lamp shade torn, table trim stripped off, and dirt in every corner. I was woken up at all hours of the night by people shouting on the balcony, motorcycles riding and parking on the sidewalk next to the doors, and several people having regular conversations outside my door at 2am.
I booked this stay as it was $60/night compared to $120. I thought I was saving $60, instead I felt as if I wasted it. I would have felt safer and slept better if I parked in a random residential and slept in my car.
- Steven (2/5): - Tv didnt work even asking for it to be fix still nothing to many homeless around area. Shower was dirty and sheets
- Julie (2/5): - The worse Motel 6. Ive stayed at Motel 6 for over 40 yrs all over the country. This place should be condemned. Staff was amazing. I left and didnt stay. Smoke filled dirty sheets tub was disgusting
- EDWARD (10/5): - I had a very nice stay at your motel. The staff was supportive and efficient. The room was clean and adequate.
The water had to be shut off the morning of Oct 22. I was not notified ahead of time of this outage, or even after it started. Fortunately, I had finished my shower just a few minutes earlier. Keep yourself customers informed, please.
- Dario (6/5): - What I liked was quiet but The guest were too loud to doors slamming Service helpers talking and yelling at each other from one floor to the next, I had No lights working in my restroom so I did not really like it but I still chose to stay one more night, I was too tired to look for another hotel... But I did that first thing this morning....Thank You Expedia...😎
- Mason (2/5): - Literally run.
- Jeremy (4/5): - Burn marks on the tub, uncomfortable beds, never git our rooms cleaned. Checked out early to go stay the night at my friend's house. A lot nicer there.
- Elizabeth (4/5): You get what you pay for - It was an old place, bathroom was not great, tiles falling off edges of wall on floor, tub not clean, -had to clean it myself, front desk made me feel like a criminal- demanding IDs for every guest.
- Eric (4/5): - Upon arrival staff seemed bothered. Then the room was horrible. Stains on the sheets and bed. Stains on the furniture. Drug addicts everywhere. Ice machine didn't work. Beds were super old and uncomfortable. Just a really bad experience overall. Don't stay here unless you absolutely have no option.
- Jon (2/5): - This was the worst motel I've ever stayed in. When I checked in, there were no towels or washcloths in the room. I called the front desk, it was around 9 p.m., and the guy said "Oh. I'll bring some in the morning." I said "No, I want to shower tonight." I had to go to the front desk and pick them up myself. There was one towel and one washcloth. I asked for a second towel, and the clerk made a face and reluctantly gave me a second towel. The. I went back to my room to shower, and there was no hot water. I called the front desk again, and the clerk said "There's no hot water? You'll have to wait until morning." When morning came, guess what? Still no water.
This Motel 6 is abysmal, and so is Expedia for selling me the booking to this dump. I wasn't expecting luxury from a Motel 6, but towels and hot water are not unreasonable expectations. You are apparently horrible at vetting your lodging offerings. You sold me pathetic lodging.
- Susan (2/5): - It was awful. We asked for a refund and left immediately. Felt very unsafe there.
- Karolina (2/5): Dont stay here - Absolutely filthy, Blood on the toilet paper, roaches and hair in the sheets they said they didn't have extra and when i asked for another towel they could only give me one. Shower definitely hadn't been cleaned and there was trash left from the last people.
- Erick (2/5): - The toilet constantly ran towel rack fell off wall when I hung towel light over toilet didn’t work and worst of all room had absolutely no hot water
- Arcenia (2/5): Never motel 6 again - The hotel had no towels no hot water.. they had electrical boxes hanging out the wall.. and I’m a electrician so it bothered me.. so for $85 a nite I would never recommend anyone here at this motel 6 on 52st and vanburen you couldn’t even control your own air because there was no buttons.. lol omg!!
- Onie (6/5): - There’s no hot water
- Catherine (2/5): - The property wasn't open to the public. For homeless use only.
- Johnathan (2/5): - I couldn’t even get to stay at the property. I booked the at the property weeks in advance but when I got there, they told me that all reservations were full and their rooms were sold out. I even showed them my confirmation number but the staff claimed it was a “glitch.” Never got my refund and had to spend extra money somewhere else.
- Daniel (4/5): Never again - Water never got hot, pool was broken, sidewalks were dirty, room key’s kept failing, guests fighting in the parking lot, my greeting from office person was a rude “What’s up?”
- Izayah (10/5): - The area wasn’t bad
- Jared (2/5): - Stayed here on an overnight before an international flight. The bathroom, specifically the tub, had significant stains and dents and scrapes, the walls were covered with a heavy plaster cover over an obvious hole, and the shower curtain needed immediate replacement. There was a guest firing a gun while in the room and the police showed up and then the desk clerk coming on shift at 3 am was arrested for interfering in a police investigation. I’m sure this is a franchise, but Motel 6…do better.
- Kimberly (2/5): - Sheets are stained so whether they were actually washed or not between guests is hard to tell. The lamp next to the bed did not work. The toilet was constantly leaking and a small trash can was put beneath it to catch it. The toilet and shower did not look clean. The small bars of soaps, although packaged, looked like used slivers of soap.
- Tobin John (4/5): -
- Steve (2/5): Stay somewhere else - Rundown and dirty. No washcloths. No water for shower. Key quit working for entry. Went to front desk several times. Don't think they cared. Roach in bathroom was final straw. Tried to get refund through hotels.com. Wasted 6 more hours of my vacation. Ended up just leaving the last day and going to another hotel. Don't Stay here
- Marisa (2/5): - There is a required $100 deposit that was in the fine print. The $100 is not reimbursed for five days!
- Karlheinz (6/5): - Near by the Zoo and Botanical garden
- Roberto (10/5): Just passing through… - The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was helpful, serves its purpose.
- TONY (2/5): - Poor property condition, not even have hot water for showers
- steve (4/5): - The owner does not care about maintenance, fixtures are leaking, lights are flickering, bed is old
