Guest Reviews
- Kazuya (8/5): - They were nice and friendly.
I stayed here to translate to Don Mueang on the next day. It was ok for a few days. It was difficult for me to find a breakfast on the next morning. hehe We can find cafes in MRT station, but I think you have to prepare cash.
- Carl (4/5): - Old rooms
- Kiera (6/5): Handy but basic - This is a very basic and dated hotel, however it’s good if you just want somewhere cheap to stay near the bus station. Staff were friendly.
- Randall (6/5): - Inexpensive hotel. Clean and reasonably comfortable in a convenient location. Reasonable deal for the price
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Near Chatuchak market.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Easy close to MRT - Friendly attitude easy to find clean but bed was a little hard aprt from that all good.
- Chaohui (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Erica (8/5): - The receptionist was very helpful, I wanted to post a letter (local mail) and she said I just need to pay the postage and she would pass it to the dispatch guy to mail tomorrow with their own mails.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - As this is a 1 night stay from the airport to the bus station it is a great place to stop
- Khaki (10/5): - 10-15mins walk to Mochit station.
A stylish cafe is situated opposite the hotel and tasty bbq booths nearby.
The room is simple and spacious without hygiene problems. Just a few insects in this weather.
Last but not least, very very friendly and nice staff helped us with any enquiry.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I stayed in a dormitory room. I was the only one there. Anyway, when I first entered the room it smelled extremely musty. Eventually that subsided. I'm not sure if there was because the air conditioner got turned on or whether I gradually got used to it. The air conditioner was barely adequate, but I slept okay, and the mattress was firm.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Check in was easy. They need a 500 baht deposit which we weren't exactly prepared for, but we're able to figure out. The staff was very welcoming. We were able to store our bags when we arrived at 7am until check in later. The bed was very hard and we had two cockroach guests, but other than that the stay was flawless.
- alexey (10/5): - Not far from bts station, we had window view on railway station so it was a little bit noisy.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I stayed at G9 with nothing but compliments previously.
This time our room was dark, dinghy, needed cleaning and I saw several insects. I was bitten by mosquito(es) during the night. I did not talk with the staff because I arrived late and was too tired; and had to leave early the next morning. I could not get out quick enough to escape the mosquitoes.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - 5 mins from BTS morchit (chatujak)
1 metro station from central department store
- May (10/5): - Good. Staff friendly. Clean room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A good place to sleep. - Great people at the desk. Great shower and wifi.
首先,大堂沒有冷氣,一進去就有股怪味,整間酒店同時間只有1位職員當值,一進房間便聞到一陣臭味,感覺好像很久沒人住,房間內只有床,一個內裡什麼都沒有的櫃和一張桌子,隨即看見桌子和廁所都有一兩隻螞蟻,我們亦沒有多想,一點點總有吧,就算了,放下行李就出去了,到晚上再回來已經差不多凌晨時分,準備要休息時一打開被子,就看到就螞蟻在床上,有活的及死掉的,看仔細數一數,差不多有30多隻,超恐怖,枕頭都有,根本不能睡上去;
- david (8/5): Good location - WiFi was very slow
- Wing Fong (2/5): Dirty Dirty Dirty - Spent hours to kill mosquitos. Many blood stains (from mosquitos) on curtains and wall. The towels are brown in color makes me think the hotel wants to hide the dirt....Very dark walking from the metro and lack of stores and restaurants....Never choose this dirty hotel again.....
- Erica (8/5): Poor wifi connection - The wifi connection was poor..
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean, near BTS station and bus terminal - Good access from/to Don Muean Airport, Mo Chit Bus Terminal. Clean and simple domitory.
(bit far from center of city)
- Verified traveler (6/5): Love the location - The blanket was smelly and there were ants everywhere. Besides that the room was okay and nice shower. I wish they would provide a bottle of water instead of the water machine thing that you can refill in front of the room. It tasted and smelled kinda weird to me. Best thing about this hotel is LOCATION! It is literally closed to everything, BTS, MRT, 7-11.
- Simon (6/5): It's a 23$ room... A bit creepy in a bad location - Blood on the wall, bed very hard, old building (room would need some repairs), no restaurants at a walking distance, creepy hotel inside, however the reception area was goof and the reception staff was kind and useful, although the valet was a bit scary. I will say this however, I paid 23$ for the room. Take out the blood from the wall and it would have been a quality that matches the price.
- Bill. Jenjira (8/5): Satisfied guest - The room was a little dated but it was clean and quiet.
The bed is standard for Thailand but I slept well.
It was a completely satisfactory stay. I found the staff to be nice.
This is the second time that I've stayed here and the other time was good too.
- Johannes (8/5): Very good value - This was extremely good value for money in an extremely convenient location. We wanted to be close to Chatuchak Market and we really were. Staff at the hotel were also super friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Close to Chatuchak market
- Verified traveler (8/5):
- Iris (2/5): Never again! ☹ - The hotel rooms really doesnt look like in the pictures.
Everything there is rusted, full with moll and dirty walls.
Also the location is not one of the best - too far from Chatuchak market and the bts
- Mr. M (8/5): G9 - Enjoyed staying here,great living with the locals experience.staff helpful,felt safe in the area.
- Jean (6/5): Only for those targeting JJ Market - Pros - close to JJ Market, Nice and helpful staffs, with rooftop garden
- the cafe opposite to the entrance seems worth visiting
Cons - Room and bedsheets are dirty, with ants, spiders, bugs and other insects
- the room is too dim, especially in the bathroom
- no fridge
- the only store you can find at night nearby is a 7-11, the nearest massage is around 10 minutes of
walk away
- Jason (10/5): Personal service - The room had all emenities we needed and is very close to the airport and within walking distance of shopping and food. Not your typical hotel, this is residential style living with personalized hospitality.
Kamar lumayan bersih
Tersedia dispenser air minum
Dekat 7 11
Dekat beauty salon
Ke Chatuchak market lumayan jauh jika jalan kaki, jika naik taxi / tuk tuk harus putar balik, jd lumayan jauh jg, dan jalanan sangat macet (kebetulan kami tiba hari jumat sore, menjelang long weekend di Thai)
- Verified traveler (6/5): a bit inconvenient - location is a bit far if u are dragging your luggage from the metro station. A longggg walk to JJ Mall and chatuchak market (30mins). bed is a bit hard. price is good, and the 5th floor has a cool space to chill, surrounding neighbourhood a bit too quiet to walk alone at night. there a few nice cafes nearby but we din get to try due to our short stay.
- mirorose (8/5): Very good and very friendly. - I have a good time here. Also walking distance to chatucak market and chatucak park
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not worth it - Bed was old, wifi was slow
You can get something better for the same price
- David (4/5): Worst experience in over 50 bookings. - Bad check in which ended with receptionist shouting at me. Stupid deposit policy as I was only staying 8 hours and insisted on 300baht deposit which wouldn't cover anything just makes guests feel untrusted and like criminals before they even get in the room. Noisy as right by bst station where they work on trains through the night / Full of mosquitos and bitten to death.
- Ignacio (6/5): Godd for airport+bus stion, but it'll kill yr back - Nice place in a bit of unhappening area. Very good transport links as Skytrain is only 5 minutes walk away and also very close to the main bus station and 20min taxi drive to Donmueang Airport.
Really good if you need to go to the bus station or the airport but your back will pay the price. Mattress is as hard as sleeping on the floor. WiFi very poor in my room, had to go to the corridor to reconnect all the time
- Yuki (4/5): A big sigh.. - My husband nearly lost his wallet containing thousands of dollars and cards. He accidentally left it on the front counter where the staff always sat at cos there were many paperworks scattering over. Quickly, I turned around and noticed that the staff saw it but did not call out to us. Luckily, my husband found it immediately. The bathroom with the single dim light always seemed to have ants. I never brought any foods into the room cos there is no microwave. I had to clean the bathroom before sleeping. The water heater provides little lukewarm water. There is no hair dryer for the Deluxe room. The mattress is very hard but manageable. The location is not very good as it takes about 35mins walk to reach the weekend market and BTS station. At night, the area is rather very dark and quiet so always look out for any motorcycle that go past by.
- Emma (6/5): - Good room. good wifi.
bathroom had hair in the sink and the shower wasn't the best.
helpful reception staff.
we were only here 1 night so not much to report on.
- Ana (8/5): Clean hotel great value - Clean. Spartan. Friendly staff. 7-11 nearby for cheap brkfast. Great value! Chatuchak mkt walking distance. Uber or Grab taxi easily requested online.
- Keith (8/5): Good value for what you pay - Stayed here one night on my way through Bangkok. I needed somewhere close to the northern bus station (Mochit) for an early start the next day. This hotel fits the bill perfectly. It's reasonably priced, rooms are comfortable and clean and you can easily get a taxi from outside the front door.
Staff were very pleasant and attentive both at check in and check out.
Would stay here again if I had similar requirements.
- xxxx (8/5): Satisfaction - Abit far from BTS, Need to walk around 10-15 min. Close to Chatuchak Weekend Market, Chatuchak Park.
Everything Ok.
- Michael (4/5): Bed like a bag of rocks! - This was the only hotel that met my criteria of being both non-smoking and close to the Mo Chit Bus Terminal. I needed a place to sleep so I could catch an early bus.
The hotel was very inexpensive so I wasn't expecting too much. It looked about how I had expected. I thought it would be fine for a single night.
I arrived about 12:30 p.m. I was told that check-in is at 2:00 p.m. Usually places just let me check-in early but not here. It was okay, I was hungry and walked down the street to grab something to eat.
I returned and checked in. The room was fine for one night. I looked out the window and saw that the BTS railyard was next-door. I tried the wifi, I was able to connect but wasn't able to access the internet.
I took a shower and got ready for bed. It shouldn't really be called a bed, it was a box spring without a mattress. Imagine trying to sleep on a bag filled with rocks and you will have an idea of how comfortable this"bed" was. I spent the night tossing and turning as springs poked me in the back, ribs, shoulders, and hips.
If you're looking for a good night's sleep look elsewhere!
- Tan (4/5): Convenient and simple condition for a night stay - No basically items provided like tooth brush, paste and hair dryer. My neighbour commented the container was leak upon fill up water, rough towel and noisy air conditioner but staffs are good and helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Review - It's just a bit far from the BTS and the chatuchak market especially if you have walk all day long and u need go But the staff are friendly and they are able to understand what we request . It's a good staying experience
- Verified traveler (6/5): OK if you are a train nut. - It was cheap because it backed onto the depot and stabling tracks for the BTS, so there was plenty of activity as they parked around midnight and mobilised around 5am, but I knew this as I used to work there plus the sound was quite well insulated.
The bathroom and room size (5F) were good as was the lift. Free hot and cold water machine down the corridor. Convenient little minimart in next block for snacks and a nightcap, but no fridge in room, so for immediate consumption only.
Wifi was poor, would hardly ever connect. TV only local channels in Thai. Bed quite thin and uncomfortable. I got bitten every night, I presume by mosquitoes although I never caught any. Aircon good but noisy and dripped water on the floor. It was a basic hotel, with some hostel rooms, no drinks or food supplied or on sale, staff a bit disinterested, but OK for my purpose as I was not on expenses and it was near where I wanted to be. Mostly students as guests.
- Joshua (4/5): Ok to crash for a night. Dirty room. - Room was filthy. Dirty toilet, gross floor, bug blood on curtains. I don't know if the sheet was actually changed. Nice friendly staff but Internet didn't work until I messed around with the DNS settings which most people wouldn't be able to figure out.
- Norman (6/5): Disappointed in stay at G9 - Staff not attentive.
WiFi didn't work half the time
Coffee (3 in 1 packets) but no way to heat water.
Not great value for the money
Not far from Sky Train - 10 minute walk. Nothing to see near hotel. Had to take the Sky Train to see anything.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (4/5): Just ok - Stayed 1 night because close to mo chit bus station...
Was an ok hotel..pretty basic but good shower aircon TV so was adequate ..
- Verified traveler (6/5): Near Mo chit/Chatuchak Market - Good for a transit stay, if arriving/departing from Mo chit or going shopping in Chatuchak market.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - one night layover travelling from chiang mai to siem reap. comfortable room, would benefit from an alarm clock. beware near mochit bts NOT morchit bus station (taxi is quick and cheap).
- LL (8/5): Hotel close to Chatuchak Market - stayed for 1 night. good place to rest after shopping in market. walking distance to BTS and MRT.
plenty of market on weekends
- Verified traveler (8/5): - People were helpful and friendly, even walked me to bus stop the next morning
- Viet (10/5): budget modern hotel - Short stay for Chatuchak Market and JJ Green Market so the location is perfect. The modern style is spot-on with cleanliness and comfort for staying.
- Hon Fai (8/5): OK for this cheap rate - the hotel is neat, the staffs are helpful and friendly
transportation is convenient, about 10 mins to Mo Chit BTS
but nearby district environment is little bit dirty,
However, we cannot expect too much for such low rate
- Sikie (6/5): Complex feelings - The feeling is complex. Although the room is clean and the staff are very nice to offer tourist information such as transportation guides, the location is not THAT close to Chatuchak market. There are at least 20 minute walk under the hot sun from the hotel to the Chatuchak/Mo Chit Station. And imagine you have to carry all your harvests from the market to the hotel. The distance is quite embarrassing because it is not far enough for a taxi, or close enough for an easy walk.
As for the hotel stay, I will say that it is VERY DISRESPECTFUL for the staff to demand our key to keep at front desk. They don't just keep the key. They went into our room to check if we had switched off air-conditioning or anything after we left the hotel. I feel very insecure.
- TENG (2/5): DONT EVER BOOK TWIN ROOM HERE - No TV in Twin room but have TV in Double or single room, all same price. After confrontation, the Manager said its their layout problem. I realised they had converted their hostel into hotel, turning double decker beds into two single beds stacking 2 straw hard mattresses into one. Mind you, no spring mattress!Extremely Noisy huge aircon. We stayed in room 53 and 54. Got bitten by big mosquitoes inside bathrooms. No phone and water in room, so you have to collect water at the end of the corridor or walk to other room to communicate. My sister in law was freaked out by cockroaches in the room and a panty left in the room when she checked in the room. My son said that the place was like his army bunk in Singapore. The hotel website had misled us into thinking that there is a TV in the room.
- Christopher (8/5): Nice hotel but with some clueless staff - I thought the hotel was in general very good. In the morning I had to catch a cab in order to go to airport. It was early--around 4:30 a.m. I asked the staff member at the front desk to call me a cab, but he for some reason was unable to do this. So he went to the street to hail a cab for me. The hotel is on a side street, and no cab came by and he was unable to hail a cab for me and just walked back to the front desk without explanation. So I walked to the main street and fortunately was able to quickly hail a cab. Still, I found this incident kind of pathetic for someone on the staff of the hotel. It was, if nothing else, kind of bewildering.
- DAVID (8/5): Good hotel, poor neighbourhood... - Helpful staff, clean rooms and functional bathroom. Hot and cold water service in the hakk, with coffee and tea provided in room. Didn't try the breakfast, but available for a small fee. Relatively easy to find from the Chatuchak subway station, blue line. Only real downside is lack of restaurants nearby; we ended up walking for a bit and settling for street food, with ensuing Bangkok belly. Otherwise, good value for the short term traveller.
- Joe (8/5): Great cheap clean hotel on the outskirt of bangkok - If you're after something on the outskirts of Bangkok centre, but want easy links by train back, this is perfect.
Rail and bus are 5-10 mins walk (max),there's a massive park for runners.
Bangkok centre is 20 mins on the sky train.
The room itself was really clean and spacious, but don't expect views from the windows, it's mainly car parks!
They did take a 500bht deposit in cash, but was fully returned on check-out.
- Laila (10/5): A hotel with confortable big room - A hotel just 15 minutes walk to chatuchak market and 10 minutes walk to BTS and MRT station. Not far from Don Mueng airport which cost only 200 baht. Hidden from busy main road which is very good There are small convenient shops near the hotel. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Room is very clean and spacious. But the bed is very hard but ok. Aircond is good but in my room do not have television but it was ok since I returned to room only for sleeping.
- Cool (6/5): Close to Chatucak - Bed is too hard and sledding a side, not comfortable. Toilet cleanness is acceptable. Provide shower gel, shampoo and towel. When you refer to the map on the hotel information, the hotel is actually not located next to the Chatuchak Park. It is behind the train station. You would see a long building about 2-3 storey tall. It is a train stop for service. The guest house is next to the train stop but you could not across the train stop. You must walk on the main street, it would take you about 10 mins, Suggest you to take the motor taxi, about THB 40 and take it less than 2 mins from the BTS .
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad location and poor services. MoChit no place 2 - Hotel is very remote from every thing and places and services. Very hard to find taxi. Must walk 1km to MoChit train station. The reason I picked it due to being close to Don Muang Airport but it was not close. I should have stayed at the airport itself.
Breakfast was hopeless and not worth waiting for. Room was very small, bed uncomfortable and noily due to MRT. Hotels.com should delete it from their list.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice place for transit - Excellent small guest house. Very clean. Wifi, hot water and air conditioning works well. Bed is very firm, which seems to be the norm for other thai hotels. 10 minutes walk to Mo Chit BTS, 20 min walk to chatuchat market. Stayed 1 night for transit and visiting the market on the way to khao yai
- ROBERT (4/5): Very basic - Reception was friendly by the young lady at the desk and she spoke good English. The room is very basic and the mattress could use replacing .Also we noticed the pillows has an odd odour but they were replaced by a nice member of the staff.Breakfast was a disappointment. 2 cold eggs, 2 toast an 2 cold cuts. There was hot water for instant coffee but no cold water or juice. You would have to pay extra if you wanted that. Also someone who I assume was the hotel manager asked us rather abruptly to see our breakfast vouchers after we sat down. This person had a a rather unfriendly disposition .On the plus side , g 9 is close to the subway and only 2 stops from Bang Sue station, so it was convenient for us.The night before we found some good street food nearby but don't expect any English. Luckily my fiancée speaks perfect Thai
- Aziz B. Ismail (8/5): Near to Chatuchak Market and BTS - The most important is the room and the facilities is clean and staff is always ready to help. Need to cushion the hard mattress with sponge.
- Reshan (8/5): Decent hotel with good location - Overall I had a decent experience here. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the MRT and BTS Sky train which made it very easy to move around Bangkok. The rooms were fairly big with good air-conditioning. I wouldn't bother about breakfast as it is 80 Thai Bhat and completely dissatisfying. The staff is friendly and helpful. The WiFi is free but my room was rather far from the router so the connection was very weak and kept disconnecting.
- Mike (8/5): Great, cheap stay - Stayed here to catch the bus the following day and the hotel was great for the night.
- James (8/5): Fantastic service - Not much to do around the area but great for staying one night if you are getting a bus the next day very clean and friendly service
- Alissa (6/5): Had to move - This is a great spot for a one night stay, especially just traveling to Don Muang or for backpackers. However we had a baby and it was difficult stay including very hard mattress, no fridge or english tv and construction noise. The office staff however were really friendly and helpful, even allowing us to checkout early.
- Dustin (8/5): Close to Mo chit station and market - Good place to stay if leaving for Cambodia. If just hanging around Bangkok, there are many other alternatives that would have better service (and a better bed-they are pretty hard.) Great staff however.
