Really no downside, except for perhaps the breakfast that was slightly repetitive when you stay longer than 4 days. But, the food itself was yum, and prepared with love. the pool could've been salt water. the breakfast could've been more goan - ross omelette, sannas. for the rates quoted, the boutique hotel could've offered 2 daily shuttles to the beach.

• Yuta (10/5): Serene stay in North Goa - This property is a little slice of heaven in North Goa. If you love to party but also want a peaceful retreat to rest and recharge, this is the perfect place for you. The owner and staff are incredibly warm, always making you feel right at home. The team, in particular, is remarkably attentive to your needs and even your moods. The whole property has a rustic old school Portuguese charm and you feel at tranquil wherever you go. I don’t usually stay in North Goa, but this has definitely become my new go-to spot. The wifi access in the ancestral rooms is a little spotty and they could install an inverter , for long term stays to manage the electricity outages, so I had a little trouble during work calls. You get better network in cafe area. However, the owner confirmed that is a known issue and will be worked upon. I am sure, by the time I visit next time, this is all going to be sorted.

Pool table, swimming pool were used by us and staff was available for all our needs. Enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner. They were ready to even accommodate us in adjacent rooms so that the family got privacy. It was good and to say negative, the liquor options were limited

• sonali (2/5): pl don't go - Honestly apart from the location, this place was horrible. The tiles are full of moss, so please be careful or expect broken bones. The staff attitude is ridiculous. They charge to change your linen, to make your bed, and they don't even give you basic cutlery. The linen is in such bad condition, they are stained and torn. The staff is really weird- you have to beg for basics like a hair dryer etc, and they have no toiletries in the loo Nothing-liked nothing- this place had so much potential- but the bad attitude screwed it up

He talks to you nicely but when there are foreign guests he prioritises them and keeps on ignoring your request. I went to have breakfast at morning and I was waiting for 15-20 minutes he did not take the order.. when I call him out he did responded. So I thought he might have not heard. I got up from the table went to the counter to give my order for breakfast but he didn’t heard it thrice. And I was just standing there people were looking at the face and I felt really insulted and embarrassed and it was my birthday so start of day was something like.. ultimately it’s just that they give priority to foreigners. Not reception but the restaurant service is only for foreigners. Tough we too pay the same amount or whatever is asked

• Julie (8/5): Lovely couple of days - Staff were exceptional, there were a couple of issues, but they were sorted out really quickly. Our room was great, outside shower at the back backed onto something but there was a canopy so no one could look in. The pool was fantastic and kept very clean. A big thank you must go to the waiter Diago who went out of his way to make sure you were looked after at all times. The food was ok, we did eat out a couple of evenings. A couple of resident dogs that were very friendly. Overall we had a lovely time and would love to go back.
