Guest Reviews
- Ali (10/5): - كانت اقامة ممتعه وطيبه والفندق على مستوى راقي من النظافة والاهتمام ويتمتع العاملين بالود والاحترام والتعاون اتطلع لزيارته في المرات القادمه
- Abdulla (10/5): - Hieno näköala!
- MOHAMMED (10/5): - اقامه طيبه حي متوفر فيه المستجد والمطاعم والمحلات التجاريه بانواعها . فالاقامة جيدة تماما.
- Ali (4/5): - Rooms need real paint and clean job, carpet needs washing, kitchen equipment is garbage and rusty. Serious dust in many places.
Beds and pillows are comfortable and clean though.
Nice and good staff
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to the airport, yet so very far - The main problem with the Oman Palm Suites is that it doesn't have an address! So it isn't picked up on maps, which means a) it takes a very long time to find it and b) taxi drivers have never heard of it. The accommodation was clean, but very tired (broken patched up bathroom door, lamps with no bulbs, sockets that don't work). But it's relatively cheap for the area. No idea what the picture in the listing is.
- Zaheer (10/5): Boetie's review. - Great hotel with great location
- Verified traveler (8/5): هدوء - اقامة طيبة فندق جيد الموقع جيد وسط المحلات التجارية والمطاعم العربية والسوق ويقرب من سيتي سنتر حوالي 5 دقائق بالسيارة
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hotel, great staff. Front desk clerk was super helpful.
- Ahmed Faizal (10/5): - Fragrance, creativity, adornment in every inches of the property. Well decorated with high quality materials
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good hotel with friendly and courteous staff. Very good value.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel bien situé, restauration autours - Le bruit des avions nous a vraiment gené, cependant le petit dejeuné est convenable vu le prix proposé
- Mark (8/5): Bring Your Own Breakfast - This was our second stay here. While the amount of space for a 2 bedroom apartment is so great for the price, this time our room had a weird smell, the bathrooms needed a really good cleaning, and there was ink drawings on the sofa. We also got the breakfast this time and it isn't great. You have a choice of three menu items and Nescafe (even though there is an amazing coffee/espresso/cappuccino machine sitting in the dining room.) It's still a good value but that room on the first floor needs some freshening up. Wifi only works in the bedrooms.
- Mark (10/5): Tricky to find but worth the GPS directions! - It's a bit tricky to find but worth it. The staff was amazing and friendly. The apartment was homey and comfortable, as well as very quiet. We relaxed with our friend then went to separate bedrooms with great bathrooms. We will definitely stay here again and really recommend it!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Hotel was good clean. - To travel anywhere from there was very hard. Hotel had no information pamphlet for tourists. Finding places was literally very hard unless you made arrangements. Very expensive taxi all different prices seems like all were out to grab as much money from you. Oman is beautiful but make sure you have hotel where everything is accessible.
- Hussain (6/5): Accessible and a good sleep - We had one night there before leaving to jabal shams in the morning. The hotel was near the airport and was easy to find and the neighborhood is excellent for your early morning shipping.
If you ever need a fast stop in muscat that will be your hotel.
- Nelson (8/5): Is ok for one night - Ok.
- MOHAMMED (4/5): Its okay foe transi less than 2days at this hotel - Not bad hotel just for transit less than 2 days.
- kim (10/5): Lost of value for money and 5 star service - Was surprised by the value for money , and incredible service , like it was a expensive 5 star hotel !
Big rooms, just cozy , and so well trained staff !
- Saleh (6/5): Relaxing - I have enjoyed my stay and my Arabic break fast was best and good
- Saleh (8/5): Quiter stay - Like the hotel and enjoy ny stay
- John (8/5): Decent hotel in the 'burbs of Muscat - The hotel room we secured was basically like a three-room apartment. It was comfortable, had nice bathrooms and was relatively spacious. The location of the hotel, however is in the far western suburbs of Muscat and not ideal for people planning to travel back and forth to Old Muscat/the nice part of the city. We found it very difficult to find the hotel - which isn't necessarily uncommon for Oman given that barely any street has a name or address - however, it's something worth noting when you're arriving late at night and just want to get to the hotel.
- Osman Awad Abbas (6/5): Trip to Seeb Muscat - it was good
- Phillip (8/5): Nice hotel - Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Molly (8/5): Close to the airport - This is a great place to stay near the airport. The people are friendly and the rooms are clean. There are a few coffee shops in walking distance, and while it is not maybe an exciting neighborhood, it is secure and safe. We liked it enough that we stayed on two different occasions.
- Akli (8/5): - Confortable, clean and well priced. The area was not great if you are looking for a place where you can enjoy the scenery or walk to attractions. There were several coffee shows within walking distance, but selection was limited. Great choice if you want easy access to the airport
- JINU (8/5): - 1st trip not good but ya 2nd one fantastic
- AKASH (8/5): no taxi stand nearby - Good experience
Only no taxi available outside
- Stephanie (6/5): I got robbed! - The hotel is nice enough, but far from the city. You need a car if staying there. Unfortunately on the night of my arrival I went for a jog. I had counted my money earlier that day and when I returned from the jog. Someone had taken $200US from my wallet during my jog.
- Richard (8/5): Convenient one night stay at Oman Palm Suits - Conveniently located close to the airport (bring a sat nav though), with friendly staff. Family rooms are enormous, although ours was noisy from airport traffic. Breakfast was disappointing.
Overall, good value but would not stay for a prolonged period.
- Ian (8/5): Oman Palm Suites Hotel - The accommodation was fine. The restaurant was a bit "burger bar" for my evening taste but the breakfast was good.
- Verified traveler (2/5): It was beyond horrible - Having read all the previous reviews, I thought the place would be okay to spend a night or two in. However, I feel the need to voice a review as this was the most awful place I have stepped foot in.
Perhaps the reviews were shared by some who have had extremely little experience with hotels and decent travels.
The place's location is awful. The "lobby" is full of flies and even has a few bees swarming around.
The whole place stinks of air freshener and the room... OMG the room! a window that one would not even dare to draw the curtains in and it is infested in tiny little flies.
The shower is horrible. Everything about it is just awful. There are things I don't even wish to remember.
The breakfast is not up to you as a guest, but up to what they feel like serving you! And the food is so terrible that it would be best to just order delivery from elsewhere.
All in all, simply horrific.
- Ali (2/5): Worst stay EVER not clean disgusting room - It was a very bad experience. I was etching my body the whole time I am in the room. Very unclean disgusting room. Add to that it is very small and tiny.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Will not recommend this to anyone even to my enemy.
- Cheryle (10/5): Great great value for money - The hotel was great but the staff really made our stay so friendly and helpful The room was perfect. The area was very good overall we enjoyed it immensly
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel for the price - This hotel is a little out of the way of Muscat, but it's close to the airport and if you hire a driver (recommended) it's easy to get around.
- luis (6/5): Tourist beware - The electronic key did not work properly from the get go
The room clean up was slow and had to be called to their attention at 3 pm
The sheets comforter and mattress pad were soaking wet after I made this complaint to the owner. Funny that this happened. He was rude. Full of excuses pompous to the max. Felt sorry for his employee because they try very hard and are super pleasant
He needs a major attitude adjustment
Bad location hard to find ugly neighborhood would not recommend
Give ur money to someone who knows hospitality and the wet bed is inexcusable since the parts that were wet were tucked under mattress not good even the employees could not believe it and were embarrased
- Verified traveler (10/5): Value for money - Great value for money. Nice and clean. Comfortable. Good food in decently priced restaurant.
- abdulla (10/5): Nice hotel - Nice hotel good helpful staff close to restaurant but in Oman you need a car
- Hernandez919 (8/5): A great overnight in a real neighborhood - Stayed here overnight after a dive vacation. We booked a two bedroom suite which was perfect for a small group of friends. The rooms were comfortable and the ACs the best I've experienced in the gulf! Staff was friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Distance - It was far from the clubs and bars but close to mall and airport.
- Mohammad (10/5): Simple, very clean and conveniently priced - Booked via Expedia.com, accurate pricing on arrival with no hassle as my booking was confirmed and expected even without a phone call, without credit card payment.
Only 15 minutes from airport and another 15 minutes or so from down town muscat.
Taxi can be booked from airport at 22 USD (8 Riyals), back to airport is 16 USD (6 Riyals) approx., I liked the certainty even though it seemed expensive, but other factors make it worth it (Just how polite Omanis are, makes you want to pay them even more).
Low cost and very convenient as the room was so meticulously clean, which really is what matters, making is a budget hotel that is as clean as 5 stars.
Arrival at hotel, hand in passport to copy, sign, pay for first two days and given key to room, very quick.
Bathroom simple and clean, their shower water is very strong with both hot and cold water, and their shower has four switches that shoot water from four places (from top, and horizontally from three heights), have to get that in my home!
Room service is very fast, 5 minute response for room needs and 15-20 minute food orders.
Staff are very helpful and will go out of their way to help, I needed to call Dubai and reception offered me her phone to call back Dubai when I ran out of credit.
Cons: not much to complain about, yet they don't have a paid international call phone, which prompt you to either have enough credit or purchase a local mobile like from an external source, other than this I have no complaints.
- Verified traveler (6/5): For better and worse, not a chain hotel. - Greeted with Mango juice upon check-in, which was indicative of pleasant, eager-to-please service throughout stay. Nice space in suites and very fair pricing. Some infrastructure issues like shower leaking on floor, shower water lukewarm and air conditioner with noisy knocking sound. Also awaken during the night by some sort of septic treatment truck and numerous horn calls for prayer. Bill upon checkout very difficult to understand. Location was local neighborhood which even local taxis had trouble finding. Local neighborhood and hotel experience gave a better feel for the country than a chain hotel in a resort location, but had to give up some standard expectations in the process.
- Bazna (2/5): shi********** hotel - its very bad i staed only 5 h to sleep ,the room smiles, the window don't close properly, the AC have loud voice ,,,,,,,
- Omar (10/5): Very Clean Hotel - We rented the 2-bedroom suite, which was very comfortable. the hotel is small but there are many restaurants and shops around it. It was hard to get to the location at first because it is sort of hidden.
- Macarena (8/5): Comfort for a few days - small but close to city center hotel. Not easy to find - close beach about 40 kms. but modern with all the essentials and amenities to make your stay comfortable. staff very friendly and helpful so it is good value for money if you don't crave a pool or the beach
- cb (8/5): Nice hotel - Good facilities and comfort, staff are accomodating, cleanliness is well observed, area is well lighted at night, food is superb!
- Adz (10/5): Small - Was perfect for a room to sleep in.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Best hotel for the price asked - The hotel is nice and the staff are very good and assisting, would strongly recommend it
- Forrest (8/5): One of the better places I have stayed in Oman - Very comfortable, and a reasonable price for a two bedroom hotel room. My one complaint was it is carpeted and my son crawled around on it and his legs were very dirty. So I gave it a lower ratting on cleanliness. It is close enough to the airport, bu not much else. I would stay here again.
- laura (10/5): Excellent service - Hotel is not in the best of areas but the hotel staff are excellent! Breakfast was nice and dinner was great in there restaurant. We got this hotel at a very good price so if you are going on a budget you should book this hotel, beds are sooo comfy.
- john mcgill (8/5): Quiet area, close airport, local feel. - Husband and wife, owners of hotel, are usually around to keep eye on details, and help with any questions. Muscat is spread out, being on other side of town, not a detriment, with highway, and new 6 lane expressway close by. Less traffic, crowds, on this side of town. Surrounding neighborhood has most everything you need, (including a good Iranian restaurant) within a 3 min stroll.
