- Mark (9/5): Great location. Great staff - Great location, convenient for Tokyo Station and Ginza line. Very clean with great staff. Nice on-site restaurant and cafe. Room wax good - maybe would have been a bit small for 2 people though. Expensive -but thats Tokyo prices
- Peter (6/5): Perfunctory but acceptable - Location to station Confusing entrance system
- marjaneh (10/5): - This property is in a great location , very close to all metro and Tokyo Stations. Very close to fining and shopping .

- W5152WOwilliaml (6/5): Great staff service. Great location - The staff service is great. The location is great. The room is ok. The room is very small. The gym is ok. The hotel was restaurant is convenient, and offers really good food and beverages throughout the day.
- mrd4430 (10/5): Perfect location near Tokyo station - We try and stay at Marriott hotels when we travel and we found this great location near Tokyo station. We arrived via the metro and walked to the hotel in the early evening. As Marriott Bonvoy platinum members we received breakfast each morning at the restaurant downstairs called Lavarock. We also had access to snacks and cold drinks near reception in a small lounge area. This was a great amenity as we visited every day after walking around the city and it was nice to come back to a snack and cold soda, beer, juice. There was also ice cream to indulge in during the evening. Our room was a large queen room and it was small as others have noted but it was enough room for us and the AC worked well and kept it cool for nice sleeping comfort. Sightseeing was nice as well since there were several metro stations near the hotel and also the Ginza area for shopping and dining. All the staff we encountered (housekeeping, front desk, restaurant) were so helpful and polite. We would love to stay here again if visiting Tokyo in the future! Thank you!
- Kiyana (7/5): Overall, the staff was super friendly and the accommodations were clean and convenient. - I only needed a room for the night and it was in walking distance to Tokyo Station, which was great The room was very small
- rcepuch (6/5): For crying out loud, LABEL the light switches! - Overall, a good experience and a comfortable room – but with one huge problem: it's impossible to figure out how to turn off the lights in the room. I called the desk TWICE to ask, and both times got responses that turned out to be incorrect (look behind the TV, and check next to the bed). Finally I gave up and plucked my door key card from the slot, which shuts down all electricity to the room. VERY frustrating. (I took pictures of every wall and surface that could have included a switch and have yet to find evidence of one.) It just shouldn't be so hard to find and use basic lighting controls; they should be obvious and labeled!
One more thing about this hotel worth noting: there's another Marriott Courtyard in Ginza, so if you're on foot and relying on your phone's GPS, be careful not to end up at the wrong one (as I did, necessitating an Uber ride to get back on track).
- danielh5 (10/5): Can’t beat the location, worth the expense! - Stayed with our family based on the reviews, including Yellow Productions videos. Great location with easy access to Tokyo Station (which is incredibly huge with food and shopping options). Hotel lobby is on the 4th floor. Friendly helpful staff. Pricey smallish rooms that were clean and comfortable. Small gym. Very good breakfast, discounted if you purchase in advance (was best of our stay in Japan). Weather was rainy during our visit, grateful that the hotel provided umbrellas. Highly recommend!
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- George (9/5): Superb - Great location for a one night stay over to catch the train out the next day. Breakfast was great. Made to order omelet, lots of Japanese as well as western selections. Good location for lots of easy dinner choices.
- DAEsmae (8/5): Walkable from Tokyo station - Chose this Marriott property because it was walkable (about 3 blocks) from Tokyo station and we just needed an overnight stay between flying in internationally and taking a bullet train the next day. Hotel lobby on an the 4th floor. There are convenience stores and many restaurants within easy walking distance, and although downtown, the hotel is quiet. Very clean; friendly staff.
- Julian (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): - Staff were super nice, and I enjoyed the onsite restaurant and bar.
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent proximity to Tokyo Station, Easy 10 min walk. Not too big. Great restaurant at Ground level entrance.
- nicholasmD4097DQ (6/5): Honestly, the price vs value received is not there - I booked a Creators Queen room as a gold member. No upgrade but I was able to get late checkout. On check in I received a cookie and was notified that I could get beverages such as coffee at the front desk which was a pleasant surprise.
I’m sorry but I must be honest in my review that the room itself was quite small. Technically more spacious than a local Japanese business hotel, perhaps, but not much more. I do not expect a huge room from the Courtyard brand and admittedly I booked on a heavily discounted rate. For that reason, I will rate my experience as average however if I had paid full rack rate for the rooms this hotel has I would have found the situation unacceptable. I’m quite surprised to see the other reviews here touting value. Have they stayed in Tokyo or most hotels before? When it comes to Marriott, for just a bit more per night you can stay somewhere like the Westin or the Mesm, Autograph Collection with spacious rooms and much nicer amenities. Perhaps it’s the location but the average nightly price does not make sense to me considering the local business hotel competition.
The hotel itself is quite small. It is 4 floors high with the lobby on the top floor, fitness room on floor 3, rooms on floor 2, and the restaurant and entrance on floor 1. What I can say is great is, of course, the location. The hotel is about 2 blocks from Tokyo station which is likely the most prestigious station in Japan. The hotel is actually right next to Kyobashi station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line which I would actually suggest over JR as it is closer.
I try to give every hotel I stay at a fair shake and enjoy it for what it is. As I stated previously, for the special rate I paid I had an acceptable experience. However, after research, if I had paid the regular rate for this hotel I would have been beside myself. The average price paid vs value received is simply not there when you consider the other options in Tokyo both budget and upscale. It is all for the location? Otherwise I honestly struggle for a reason to desire staying at this particular Courtyard.
- Gops15 (10/5): A great stay with some exceptional customer service! Arigatogozaimasu! - I could not have chosen a better hotel than this for my first visit to Japan for a convention in Tokyo. Located in the the Kyobashi Tower, this was a perfect blend of location, customer service. I arrived just after midnight and the reception was amazing. They were very courteous, quick, efficient to ensure that I get into my room as quick as possible as they understood how a 10 hrs flight felt. The room was a good size by Tokyo standards and the bed was comfortable.
The morning breakfast at Lavarock was a fantastic spread of western, Japanese and oriental choices. The chicken Pho was brilliant. The staff were ever smiling and very happy to serve you. The coffee and the fresh orange juice were amazing. The hotel is about 7 minutes from the Tokyo station and access to station as a breeze.
The staff were also very diligent and proactive when I asked about certain routes to visit Asakusa and Tokyo tower. They provided me with a paper map and marked the stations/ routed to take to save time. The hotel also has an money exchange machine and was a useful touch.
The service consistency of all the staff was amazing and every day was well taken care for. At breakfast on the last, I was chatting with the staff at the restaurant and happen to mention about my train ride to Osaka. They put together a small sank bag for me to carry on the train. While its a a simple gesture, it went a long way to make me feel special.
One of the best hotel stays, Jikai made arigatōgozaimashita!
- YusriSafri (6/5): Good location - Stayed on business trip in late February.
Hotel is conveniently located next to an underground train station and within walking distance to Tokyo Station, so location wise is perfect.
Room is very very simple though, and doesnt befit the price. I was surprised as i woudlve thought i would get a grander looking room at that price.
Breakfast was good with sufficient choices.
- Ken (5/5): Passable - Its location near Tokyo Station. For the price, I didn’t care for the room. Fortunately, it was only for one night, before traveling back to the US. It was clean and comfortable. The colors in the room reminded me of a kid’s playroom, not a decent hotel. I wouldn’t stay there again.
- Lee (3/5): Not worth the money we paid! - Bf was good, staff very friendly Way way over priced! Room way too small for the price we paid ¥750K for 3 small rooms 3 nights 😬
- travelrus (10/5): Great location, wonderful staff - We stayed here for just one night in Tokyo. We arrived at 6am and understandably our rooms were ready but yhr lovely staff checked out luggage and there was even toothbrushes and toothpaste so we were able to freshen up before our full day of sightseeing.
The location is great, just a block from the Tokyo Station so easy access to all the trains. Room was clean, small by American standards but adequate. Staff was lovely
- GSTraveller200 (8/5): Good Courtyard in a Great Location - The name tells the whole story here. However, that name means something as the Courtyard provides a solid choice in the heart of the city with easy access via the station.
The hotel offers a bit more extras with a nice breakfast buffet in the morning at the restaurant below and some lobby snacks for Marriott elites in the evening.
The staff is very friendly and wants to help. The rooms are a touch small from a western perspective but are still adequate and clean.
- Adventure603078 (8/5): Location and value are great at Courtyard Tokyo Station - Location close to Tokyo station and Ginza Metro line are very convenient and make exploring the city easy. The staff are very accommodating and we loved having coffee available 24 hrs a day. As a platinum member, there were also complimentary appetizers in the evening, and self service beer, wine and assorted non alcoholic beverages available anytime. The only drawback of the hotel are the small rooms, but really our upgraded room was fine. The restaurant downstairs is adequate, the breakfast is more basic than other properties, but it was fine.
- ronny256 (8/5): Very good hotel close to Tokyo station - My room was small, even after upgrade. This is the only negative about this hotel.
Staff helpfulness and customer service in this hotel are simply remarkable. My coworker came in the morning one day before the train and they gave me breakfast coupon for him, even though I told them he is not staying in the hotel. If you are platinum or higher Bonvoy member then drinks in the cooler in the lobby area are unlimited 24/7. Breakfast in the restaurant is not great, but quite good. Short walk to Tokyo Station was a big plus for us. Several good restaurants are within 5 min walk.
- richard (10/5): - Great location in between Tokyo Main Train station and Nihonbashi
- Andre (4/5): Not again worse room I've ever stayed in anywhere in the world - The room was like a broom closet definitely not worth the price we paid stayed at the gate hotel by hulic and that was amazing compared to this Room was a broom closet for the price paid it was ridiculous
- nancycA4646ZU (10/5): Excellent customer service from JJ - We stayed here in late Aug/early Sept, when there was a typhoon right in the middle of our Japan trip. The premium we paid to stay at a Marriott hotel was well worth it, given that the hotel reception staff we worked with, JJ, spoke great English, so we were able to communicate our concerns to him clearly. He called the hotel we booked in Kyoto and explained in fluent Japanese that we couldn't travel to Kyoto due to the multi-day train cancellations. Thanks to JJ, our Kyoto hotel did not charge us any reservation cancellation fees, which was a huge relief and savings, especially with all the other typhoon-related impacts on our trip. We are super grateful for his helpful and patient service! [Note that finding someone who speaks English fluently is uncommon in Japan!!]
Otherwise, the hotel is very conveniently located near Tokyo Station and a lot of subway lines. Ginza is a short walk, so there's access to lots of great shopping (e.g., flagship Muji store!). Our room was very clean and compact (just wish there was more space to store bags and other items, e.g., why not create storage space under the beds?). It's also helpful to have a restaurant and cafe on the bottom floor in case you just need to grab some food, even though there are lots of food options nearby, with a 7-Eleven across the street. (Interestingly the little market next door did not have any grab-and-go food.)
One thing to note, which is not the fault of the hotel itself, is that when I had booked this reservation on the Marriott.com website, it did not indicate that there would be extra charges to add a guest to the room. That is not my experience when I book a Marriott hotel in the US, so it was a surprise. I plan to take that up with Marriott corporate HQ directly, since I'm a 1 night stay away from being platinum elite.
- CABerkeleyTravel (8/5): Comfortable & Quiet Stay - We had a pleasant stay at the Courtyard Tokyo Station. The rooms were a nice size, my travel companion was 6'3" and was comfortable in the room. The hotel was clean and the staff was courteous and helpful. It is located within walking distance of the Tourist Information Center, several subway stations, and the Bullet Train,
- Celeste (9/5): Superb - Good hotel, location & with helpful staff
- Murat (2/5): - Unhelpful staff that doesn't care about customer service, never staying there again.
- Barira (9/5): Superb -
- ExplorerBruce (10/5): Great for business or pleasure travelers - A great overall hotel that does a wonderful job tending to your needs. This is a great spot for both business or pleasure stays. The location is absolutely perfect next to Tokyo Station. Plus, it's just a couple of blocks away from the Metro station and Ginza. Everything you need is accessible within a minute or two walk.
The hotel staff was amazing. The personalized gift and note upon checking into the room was a nice touch.
The Lavarock restaurant in the lobby serves as the hotel's restaurant. I can't thank Mercado enough for taking care of my wife's gluten free needs. Mercado was a saint and truly went above and beyond.
The actual hotel room was rather small compared to the usual American hotel room but it was laid out very efficiently and provided everything you needed. I would not hesitate to stay here again and encourage anyone who is considering this hotel to just book it...you won't be disappointed.
- Jasmine (7/5): Good -
- Mukkalimba (7/5): Good -
- Jennifer (10/5): It was a brief stay but conveniently located and nice - very friendly staff and clean hotel. - Location was great because we needed to go to the train station after our stay. Room/hotel was very clean and nice. All the staff were really great both at reception and breakfast. Breakfast choices were plentiful and tasty. Rooms were a bit tiny, but we are just used to more space from staying in US hotels. It was expensive but seemingly inline with similar options in Tokyo.
- Ngai (6/5): Pleasant - Good location
- Blades (9/5): Superb -
- Andreja (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carolyn_and_John_B (10/5): More Than Just a Great Location - But the location is great. This hotel is just a couple of short blocks from Tokyo Station and less than that to a subway stop with access to the sites of Tokyo. The hotel has more going for it than just the great location. Our room was small but neat and functional. The shower was excellent and the toilet was a Japanese treat. Included with the room were slippers and a robe. The robe was more like a large night shirt but was still a robe. For Marriott Platinum Elite and above, a superb breakfast was included and snacks were available in the lobby 24/7. Snacks included beer and soft drinks, chips, candy, ice cream. After 5:30 p.m., smoked salmon and some cold cut were always available. This was an excellent perk! Staff was exceptionally nice and helpful.
- Naoki (4/5): - Few blocks away from Tokyo St, the room is outdated for its surprisingly high price. Not worth the money to get wet in rain, better access hotel is available than this 4 story old hotel.
- Ananthasainan (7/5): Location wise it’s a decent choice . - Good location , accessible to Tokyo station , Ginza and great shopping surrounding .there was a good breakfast spread.dinner and bar was also very good . Size of room , cramped . Refused to allow 1 hour early check in even when a room was available .was a bit disappointing as customer service .
- Ann (7/5): Nice but costly - Location. Helpful staff. Breakfast cafe. Able to forward luggage. Too expensive. We had the same type of accommodation, including location at Kyoto for a fraction of the cost. Plus breakfast was included and laundry facilities were available.
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional - The location was close to the train, the breakfast was tasty, varied and excellent. The staff were helpful. It was a very comfortable stay.
- Richard (3/5): Poor -
- Marlon (9/5): Nice accommodation - Clean and location
- Ananthasainan (7/5): It’s a good hotel - Location , room , facilities . Refused to give early check in by even 2 hours when room was available , in fact they kept my suitcase in the room but gave me the room only if I paid for 2 hours early check in .
- Gail (5/5): Passable - location rooms very very cramped / no room to even open a suitcase
- Ruth (4/5): - It's quite conveniently located. The property, however, is not befitting of the Marriott brand name. The rooms were sparsely furnished and paled in comparison to the Osaka counterpart. E.g., no bathroom scale, no back-rub towel.
- Shanti (5/5): Passable -
- Tan (8/5): - Good size and very clean
- Cesar (8/5): excellent location/ excellent room/ excellent service. - Very clean and convenient and at an excellent location. The staff was friendly. Food service is very limited.
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - The staff are very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is quite clean and the rooms are both nice and nicely spaced. Very close to the station. Nothing
- Alexander (5/5): Passable -
- C (9/5): A quiet centre close to Tokyo station . - Location was good
A more detailed information on how to reach hotel on foot from Tokyo station was lacking. The name of Hotel was not displayed well . Tourist information desk .
Complimentary breakfast.
- Pankaj (9/5): Good - liked everything no shower facility after checkout as my flight was in the night, i wanted to take a shower before I leave for airport, but since the checkout was at 1:00pm in the evening I could not take a shower, It was very Hot and Humid that day and I had a 15hrs flight back to Switzerland.
- Luisa (8/5): - Hotel was in a very convenient area, easy to access, the breakfast options were yummy
- Michael (10/5): - Courtyard by Marriott Tokyo Station is located within a 5 minute walk to Tokyo Station (shinkansen) and a 2 minute walk to Kiyobashi Station (local subway). The hotel is very clean and larger than it looks. The lobby area is quite nice, and I wish I took advantage of it a lot more as there is a nice mini-cafe/reading room set up. This is by no means a large property, but it's location is central. For those who demand a little more comfort than the standard business hotel, Courtyard by Marriott fits the bill quite nicely. For a small fee, they helped me ship my large extra luggage to the next hotel when I returned to Tokyo from my three week trip. Highly appreciated their help. Take advantage of the bath salts they provide!
- Yew (8/5): Ok. - Clean room. The hotel name is misleading and it is not connected to Tokyo Station.
- Feras (5/5): It might be because its Tokyo… but the value for money is not there - Location is excellent… 5min walk from Tokyo station and 24/7 operating supermarkets The value for money
- Gary (10/5): - The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was super clean and within walking distance to Tokyo Station. Thrle breakfast was also excellent. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
- Michelle (6/5): Pleasant - location outdated room interior (+ bright green wall)
- Verified traveler (10/5): Near tokyo station, hotel is small but nice - So the location is a little bit further from tokyo station than i thought, but it is located right next to the subway so that is a plus. Also the hotel is the first 4 stories of the entire building so don't expect the best views. We picked this location mainly because it is central to the shinkansen and also the east side of tokyo, something less chaotic than the west side. Close to shopping at akihabara, ginza, and you can take the chuo line to shinjuku, this hotel is convenient. Like most places in tokyo, the room is quite small, but nothing you can do about it as other hotels will be the same. The place was clean, quiet for the most part (although you can hear things in the hallway once in a while), and the staff was nice and amazing. I am sure there are more hotels closer by but if you want a hotel that is known internationally, then this is not a bad place to choose for the price.

- Tse (8/5): Very good - Staff Price
- Wmelendy (9/5): Great location, clean, and nice rooms. - The location of the hotel was great, just a couple of blocks away from the Tokyo Station. The rooms were a good size for a central Tokyo hotel. The staff was very nice. I would recommend this hotel to any waiting a clean and well located hotel. I wish that the staff had recommendations for restaurants.
- Cesar (8/5): we would go back and recommend because of the lication and the staff - location and staff room was a bit small

- Paul (10/5): - Hotel is conveniently located at the end of the Yaesu corridors of Tokyo Station and a block from the Kyobashi Station. Staff was very helpful and most spoke English. Room was clean with space to have luggage available. No drawers for clothing so needed to have luggage accessible. Desk chair was nice, but did not have wheels so working at the desk required moving the chair. Otherwise nice, comfortable hotel.
- Ivan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ca (10/5): Location is good - Location They don't have 24/7 house keeping as well as they don't keep microwave in the rooms and the trash are too too small
