Guest Reviews
- Anonymous (5/5): Short and sweet; Pretty decent spot for a bunch of teenagers just trying to have a weekend away. - The location was great! Some of the kitchen cupboards were broken/wonky and the spa was out of order which left the freezing cold pool as an only option in winter.
- Maja (5/5): Passable -
- Oliver (4/5): Convenient but disappointing - Beds were comfortable. Air conditioner was filthy with what looked like mould in it, a lot of it. We were worried about using it.
Lots of glasses and plates we pulled from cupboards were dirty.
- Sahajdeep (4/5): Disappointing -
- Joselito (9/5): Superb -
- Jodie (10/5): Short but wish it was longer when I turned up - The view was amazing, it was so Peaceful very relaxing Nothing I couldn't fault this place,
- Foote (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anonymous (8/5): Great location & helpful staff - Close to everything & clean & comfortable Property very dated & the complex needs cleaning up
- Judy (8/5): Very good -
- Angela (3/5): very ordinary - Location was perfect The room was dirty. Everything felt dirty - the air con was mouldy and the tv and tables were dirty and we washed everything before we ate off it as it felt and looked dirty. wine glasses were terrible and not what we expected
- Jason (7/5): Good -
- Kim (5/5): Passable - Location The room was nothing like what is pictured on the website - outdated.
- Stevie (10/5): Great value for money - The apartment was spacious and comfortable in a great location. Dirty cutlery and glasses in kitchen.
- Shishir (6/5): Pleasant -
- Neil (9/5): Superb - Ground level, river front apt with quiet and pleasant views plus a big patio. Roomy apartment with 2 bedrooms, family bath and master en-suite, clean and tidy and surprisingly, large bottles of Body Wash supplied in both bathrooms.
Very short walk (1× block) to the centre of Surfers Paradise, secure, off-street basement parking.
Loved the location and sunrise/sunsets over the river, listened to the Anzac memorial on the partially covered patio with a cup of hot tea then watched an incredible thunderstorm blow through post ceremony.
Modern washer and dryer in unit, handy after caught in a downpour returning from walk to town. Unit (#11) is very dated - maybe 80's and not the sleek modern apartment that was prominently advertised on the website.
Kitchen cupboard doors need hinges fixing and doors hung crooked when opened, no 'dish washer' cleaner available so had to wash dishes by hand, bathroom dated with chipped tiles and dripping tap in ensuite. Small step up to both bathrooms a tripping hazard. Shower door in ensuite very narrow but managed to squeeze through.
Although in need of some maintenance, we consider the fee paid for our stay in unit 11 value for money, the apt 9/10 for it's location, space, views and security. We would book again for future holidays and recommend Surfers Del Rey to others.

- Tahlee (8/5): Great location, fantastic unit overlooking the river. Clean and spacious. Will be back. - Fantastic unit only problem was terrible pressure in the shower and the bathroom tap was non- stop running, it couldn't be turned off!
- Peta (1/5): BAD - Dirty
Overgrown
Grass growing out of patio
Couldn’t open bedroom door

- Chloe (8/5): Fantastic stay for one or two nights - Had all basic furniture and necessities Bit out dated and no aircon or PowerPoints in rooms
- Elle (10/5): Well accomadated and facilities are good, location is great and good value for the money. - It was a lovely stay thank you. None

- Rachel (8/5): We injoy our stay very handy spot for what we wonted to do - It was close to everything we wonted to do and our apartment was clean and well equipped We didn't have the use of the spa and BBQ which was very disappointing as we was there for Australia Day
- Anish (6/5): Ok.. - Good security
Good sit out space No aircon in bedrooms. We couldn’t sleep well
- Kartika (10/5): Great - Great location, walking distance to cavill ave. I can store my luggage before check in, they provided all the stuff that we need for a short stay. The building is a bit old but it was enough for us. Good value for money.
Providing a smaller pan and tissue in the kitchen would be great.
- Qiumei (6/5): Pleasant - great location after hour check in is not clear ... key pick up is clear from the keybox, but email didn't mention the key is for room and need to use the sensor to open other doors, and the front door is push open rather than turning door nob, get me frustrated to enter. And the overall room is not that big as advertised (124m2), feel the actual area is only about 90m2. It is spacious enough for two bedrooms, but the advertised area is misleading.
- Donald (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brando (7/5): Good -
- Dawson (8/5): enjoyable (be better if it wasn't for work so I could enjoy the central location more). - central location, homely feel and secure parking only access was stairwell.
light and fan didn't work in single room
- Paulina (4/5): Disappointing -
- Lavan (7/5): Good -
- Gough (7/5): Good -
- Karina (7/5): Overall was good, excellent location, facilities were nice but could be improved. - The size of the apartment, the location and parking facilities were fabulous. Having the pool area was also nice. The oven was broken during our stay which was unfortunate. The wifi is also not very good quality so we weren't able to stream shows or movies on the TV.
If you have a lot of luggage, you should note there are only stairs.
- Fiona (6/5): Pleasant - Bed was good. There was plenty of room in the apartment.near to the centre of surfers paradise. The building is very dated and the apartment smelled of food I assume from previous guests or neighbours? It needs sprucing up. The decor is a collection of outdated furniture. There is mould on the bed side lamps.. I understand it's peak season but I think it was expensive for what it was. I won't recommend it or return. The host I spoke with was nice and instructions to enter easy to follow.
- Tswift (8/5): Very good - Good river view. Short walking distance to cavil ave, without being in the heart of surfers Outdoor facilities could do with some maintenance.
- Doreen (7/5): Good - Close to attractions
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional -
- Veeravalli123 (8/5): Very good -
- Stefanie (7/5): Good -
- Waimarie (10/5): Exceptional - the staff was amazing we were so late & he was still up waiting for a call , 10/10 a nice little place to stay with friends.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Garth (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ethan (8/5): priced accordingly great location close to everything awesome views and will stay here again - great location
- Corrina (10/5): Great place to stay, nice and close to amenities. - The location was great, overlooked the river, they had a pool area which is awesome. They’re only minutes walk from the main strip. Only thing was stairs, so pack light or have everything packed & ready to move, I made 4 trips to the car haha. Also trying to find the lobby door, would be great if they put “lobby door” signs on the doors so people know how to get to the front if there coming through the basement carpark stair way. Also the host was great, friendly man, didn’t have complaints about us, as we were having a few drinking before heading out, I did go with 2 little party animals and was a bit worried about getting noise complaints, but we must’ve been fine, we’ll I hope so, would definitely stay here again but only for a quiet night out, cause the balconies were too close to each other, so deffs a good place to stay if your a quiet drinker or just need a little break away.
- Carfantan (7/5): Good - Close to beach and shops It wasn't advertised that the jetty was closed for renovations so no fishing. What we were looking forward to with the kids and why we booked this place specifically.
- Sky (7/5): Good - Location was great. Only a 10 minute walk to Surfers Cavill Ave. A little bit run down but you get what you paid for. The rooms didn’t have blankets, just a sheet and at night time it was really cold.
- Neelam (9/5): Superb - Very clean, beautiful view, only 10 minutes walk from surfers paradise beach.
- Chloe (3/5): Poor -
- T. (8/5): Very good -
- Barbara (7/5): Great place for a night or two - The unit was comfortable and well priced. We were walking distance from shops and eating places. The view from our balcony was great.

- Elayne (8/5): Very good -
- Shane (5/5): Passable -
- Sonia (7/5): Facility & Location excellent, Provisions ordinairy - Immaculate unit with all of the appliances Limited guest add ons. Like tea, soap, pool towels etc
- Reg (7/5): We enjoyed our stay at your property and would probably visit again. - We liked that you provided some decent wine glasses. Usually we find odds and sods in this department. May we suggest that you install a shower caddy in the shower? It would make it easier to access soap, etc as there is no facility other than putting this stuff on the shower floor.
- Subin (3/5): Poor -
- Sofia (9/5): Great - We only stayed for one night, instructions on how to get in and out were very clear, location excellent, apartment very clean and had everything we needed nothing
- Lauren (8/5): Nice room, bad area - Room was exceptionallly clean and very well maintained. Beds were comfy, sheets crisp. Staff were friendly and helpful, easy check in and out, room had everything we needed and more. Spa was out of action, location was a bit dodgy for young families, carpark is very hard to navigate, rooms are not in order, angular and narrow parking. Room was noisy overnight, could hear doors slamming all night into the early morning. Fair walk to Cavill Ave with kids.
- Charlie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Evan (8/5): Very good -
- Chloe (8/5): Very good -
- Jill (5/5): Passable -
- Tino (10/5): Exceptional - location was 10/10
- Joan (9/5): Great apartment, would definitely stay there again. - The apartment was huge, two bedrooms, lovely bathroom with a large gorgeous bath. It was spotlessly clean and had a well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable. Nothing.
- Paumea (9/5): Superb -
- Glynis (9/5): Superb -
- Chua (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sok (10/5): Exceptional - Good location, secure carpark, overall, enjoyed our stay.
- Kelly (9/5): As above - Great little place , fantastic price and comfortable. I’d recommend this .
- Deanna (6/5): Convenient accommodation, could do with some tlc. - Location, parking space, balcony was good size, layout. Toaster is broken, fan taped up, stained carpet, mould in shower, no coffee plunger, dodgy cupboard doors,
- Cassandra (8/5): Very good -
- Allyce (9/5): Great location and good value for money - The location is great and the very good value for money. Unit was clean and had everything needed. Was disappointed the spa was out of order.
The unit either above or beside had a dog which was barking a lot so that was a little annoying. But otherwise it was great
- Stuart (6/5): Pleasant - Locations was great quiet area The hot water pressure in the unit was terrible
- Sajina (9/5): Superb -
- Nguyen (7/5): Good -
- Su (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jonathan (8/5): Very good -
- Andrea (9/5): Hidden Gem, clean, modern dont judge a book by its cover! - apartment was clean, modern, fresh, great positioning and view. just couldnt get the wifi working/connecting properly that could be us though. carrying luggage up 3 flights of stairs was a challenge, and carpatk was pokey lucky we had a small car
