Our stay was very short due to a change in travel plans so we did not get to meet Lydie, but the room was set up with a chocolate on the beds and other sweet little touches that were greatly appreciated. No complaints at all. Wish it were a little closer to the Royal Mile because we were tired of walking (after finishing the West Highland Way) :)
• IAN (9/5): very very nice, when we return we will book to stay again - For us the location was great short walk from the train station and the a short walk to the city centre. A great way of seeing different parts of the city. But backed up with a good bus service. Not being able to stay longer

Everything was perfectly taken care of, with a clean and cozy room and above all a warm personal touch. You can truly feel that she welcomes her guests with love and care. Thanks to her hospitality, our stay was extra special. Highly recommended — we would love to come back again!

Unser Zimmer hatte einen tollen Ausblick 😁 Lydie, die Gastgeberin war super nett und aufmerksam, sehr sympathisch! Wir haben für den 2. Tag ein kleines Frühstück dazugebucht, mit Croissants 🥐 und Café, die kamen direkt aufs Zimmer! Das Albyn ist ruhig gelegen, aber dennoch zentral zu kleinen Cafés und Restaurants! Und ca 20 min. zu Fuß ins Zentrum von Edinburgh! Nichts

• Ruud Limmen (8/5): Prettig verblijven in rustige straat, op loopafstand van centrum Edinburgh - We verbleven in een ruime kamer in een zeer ruime woning. De woning was in een doodlopende straat. Het was er lekker rustig. Ontvangst met codes werkte prima. Onze host was erg vriendelijk en hartelijk. We konden onze auto tegen betaling op het terrein parkeren. Centrum Edinburgh is goed te voet te bereiken.

• Anna (9/5): Bubbly host at lovely location with great view from our room - Lydie, the host was very friendly. A bubbly creative soul who I could probably have talked to for hours if we didn’t have a full schedule planned. Lydie provided a list of things to do in Edinburgh which we used in planning. The house felt personal and cozy, clean yet quirky, artsy and a bit maximalistic in decor which I like but the rooms weren’t too full of maxi decor which made it feel calm and nice. Amazing view. Bruntsfield, the nearby shop street was also so cute and nice. Nothing worth mentioning. It was a good stay - even included a discount at a nearby cafe.
• Roelfke (9/5): Top verblijf in mooi en gezellig huis! - Het is een heel mooi huis vol met kunst en gezelligheid. Overal in het huis ontdek je wel iets wat je aandacht trekt. De kamer is heel cosy ingericht. De eigenaresse is super aardig, behulpzaam en gastvrij. Het is ook top gelegen, want niet de drukte van de binnenstad, maar wel de bushalte dichtbij waardoor je er in 10 minuutjes bent en er zijn genoeg ontbijtrestaurantjes in de omgeving. Ook de supermarkt is dichtbij. Kortom een aanrader! niet van toepassing

It is within walking distance (or easy public transit) from the city center. The room was very cozy, well decorated and the bed was super comfortable! Lydie was an excellent host, always very responsive and gave great recommendations for things to do in Edinburgh.

There was also an extra comforter in case we needed it when the weather got too cold. The location was great as well. Just a short walk to the bus stops that could take you to all of Edinburgh’s must see spots. Enjoyed our stay immensely.

Close to lots of bus routes too which meant the car could stay in the car park. A great base for visiting Edinburgh and ideal for Murrayfield which we also enjoyed! Coffee machine / pods were great but perhaps a couple of instant sachets would have been good for a quick drink.

• Carlos (10/5): - O lugar é lindo, muito bem cuidado, aconchegante e confortável. Lydie é uma simpatia, alegre e vibrante. Está lá o tempo todo para o que der e vier. E foi especialmente atenciosa com nossa situação. Uma de nossas malas não chegou e por 2 dias Lydie foi extremamente atuante junto a Cia aérea, nos proporcionando conforto e segurança. Não é para dizer que não gostei. A atenção é para o fato de ser uma região um pouco mais afastada do centro histórico. Nada demais, para nós é até um ponto positivo, pois adoramos caminhar pelas cidades. São 25 min a pé, 15 min de ônibus ou menos de 10 min de Uber. Todas as opções muitos fáceis e tranquilas.

La dueña tiene muchos pequeños detalles y está disponible por WhatsApp. Muy limpio, el baño adecuado. Cerca de bastantes autobuses que te dejan en el centro en 10 minutos. Barrio tranquilo pero con muchos negocios. No es que no me gustara, pero como muchos edificios pequeños y antiguos no pueden tener ascensor por lo que si tienes dificultades para subir escaleras, solicita alguna habitación en el piso de abajo.
