I’ve been to this property twice different rooms, and both of the rooms were dirty. They could at least mop and clean the bedding with stain remover. I had to go buy bedding and a mop, and a broom along with other disinfecting cleaning products

• Robert (6/5): - The office was pitch black when I came to check in and had to wait for them to finally show up. The website photos are 20 years old as the place looks really worn out and rundown. The interior lighting was darker than a nightlight, even with all the lights on. Bed was comfortable and air-conditioning was acceptable.

• Charles (8/5): - Overall this was the best place for me to stay. The room was quite large ( 1 king bed) and accommodating for my needs. Its an older motel but its conveniently located at the edge of town so its not quite as busy. It’s relatively quiet; depending on the other guests, and it has large trash cans outside your rooms to avoid bulky trash inside the room. The AC worked beautifully and the staff were very friendly while being professional. I will stay there again when i get back down to that area for certain.

• Teri (6/5): Cheaper rate than most places - Comfortable bed. One level so you park outside your door. Owner/manager is friendly. Mirrors weren’t clean. Overall cleanliness of the room wasn’t as good as last year. Shower head can’t be adjusted. Torn pillow. Plug in the refrigerator looks moldy (pic attached). Two sets of outlets on one side of the bed didn’t work. Booked the king smoking room well in advance however we were given a two king non-smoking room. (We were told that room was occupied.)

• Keith (8/5): Very good - The room was larger, more comfortable and more up to date than I imagined, recently some OYO have been a disappointment. Most amenities were good- especially the AC! I would recommend to others, and I would stay there again on a trip to bird at Choke Canyon! Coffee maker and coffee provided were poor.
• Sarah (2/5): - Their parking is very limited so if your handicap and want to park in front of your room forget it. They do not have a working pool. It is in disrepair. The floors were dirty and sticky in our room. The TV didn't work when we got to the room. The internet was weak. The electricity went out twice once while we were in the room on the 1st day and once while we were out of the room and the a/c was powered off, so we came back to a terribly hot room when it was time to sleep. It was horribly inconvenient. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. You get 3 small standard pillows for each king size bed, two sheets and a small flimsy wool blanket in-between. Forget comfort you won't be getting it here. The drains were clogged with hair and crude. You get one tiny shampoo .25oz and one tiny bar facial soap. Nope, you won't take a refreshing shower here either. I'm never staying here again and don't recommend it to you either. Also when i booked it online it said 70$ with my one key points then it went up when i added people & my pet to my room. But then my people & service dog didn't come and i tried to change my booking before I traveled. They told me to change it when I checked in or it would cancel my room. She still charged me the full price and said her rooms are normally more than $215 that i already got a good deal online and she wouldn't change it. This was a night mare. My parents and sister were also staying here, it was not just my room.

• Latisha (1/5): Bad - I like how big the rooms were and the easy location as well as truck parking. I was sleeping on the first day and a man walked into my room two different time. To get towels? No knocking or anything. The second time I was getting dressed. I had a do not disturb on the door as well. The second day the same man tried to open the door but I jumped up and opened it before him. Same man trying to get towels. This was at 8 am. 8:15 I get a call from the office asking if I was checking out. I said yes. Check out is at 11. At 10:15 I open the door to load my car and the same man is standing outside my door waiting. Like leaning on the door frame. It scared the shit out of me. I felt so u safe and uncomfortable at this property!

The bed linen smelled of cheap perfume and had stains , the wifi didn't work. The floors looked like they had never been cleaned. The doors lock didn't lock and there was a gap at the top of the door.

They were Burning in scents so thought it could be contributing to the smell. Checked in and guy at desk was ok he wasn't very personable but wasn't rude or anything. He did require me to pay $50 pet fee in cash that is not on the website. We got room 114 and went in to get settled for the night. This was about midnight. My husband Immediately got in the shower and my kids and dog started to get comfy. I went to turn down beds (we got a room with 3) but as I turned down the very first one closest to the door there were very visible bed bugs crawling everywhere. I moved a pillow and they fell out. They were big and on the move. I Immediately told my kids and dog to stay off the beds and went to get my husband from the shower. We went back to front desk and I told him flat out " you have bed bugs and we can't stay here" he said "no problem I give tou refund but which bed?" Like he knew already and wasn't going to argue. He knew I had 3 kids and a pet with me and I guess thought he was okay to try and pull one over on me. So sad. He gave me a refund and we found another place down the hwy. Once in the new room and after checking it out to make sure it was clean I went back to booking.com and seen a new review posted just the day before about the same place, same room. These people need to close and fumigate. I feel bad for everyone staying there as there were alot of vehicles parked outside rooms. Stay away!!

Poop in the toilet that would not flush, faucet that didn’t work, stains on the sheets and remote control didn’t work. To the mgmt credit, they refunded that room price. Other rooms were accessible.
• Pamela (9/5): Superb - For a place under remodel, as are most properties are I was afforded a very comfortable and clean room. Furthermore the quality of construction provides a quiet and peaceful stay. If you find yourself in travel just north of Corpus Christie, do not hesitate. Especially those carrying equipment. Very safe. Quality linens, too.

• Teri (8/5): Very good - Clean. All rooms are ground level. Newer remodel. Put the do not disturb hanger on the door however, housekeeping came in every day.
• ronald (8/5): Fair hotel ok for quick one night - The hotel is currently renovating the rooms. The room was nice, the AC the compressor was going out. Very very noisy when it came on. Hard to sleep. Biggest peeve is renovations are never completed when they rent out a room and no-one checks on workmanship and cleanup afterwards. Had shoes on till I went to bed got up bare footed to take a shower bottom of my feet was covered in grout that was not cleaned after laying new floor tile.
• Kim (8/5): - This was just average as far as accommodations go. I cannot comment on the continental breakfast as we did not ever get one. We didn't realize that was offered until the last day. No one made us aware when we check in. The pool was not filled. I don't know if it was still closed for the winter, but I didn't ask. If it is not open all year, the months it is open should be posted in the listing. I was kinda looking forward to laying out. But the weather didn't cooperate any way. The room was clean, just very out dated. The bed was average. Not too hard or lumpy. Not enough pillows for a king size bed. Luckily I never risk it and always travel with my own pillow. The towels were clean, just small and no so soft. The water pressure was nice. No problem rinsing my hair. But the sink had no stopper, make me nervous I was going to lose something down that hole. I have stayed in an OYO hotel in California and was pretty impressed. Not so much with this one. BUT, this town has limited options I guess I would stay again if I had too.
• Noah (2/5): Sleeping in a construction zone! - Stayed 20 nights for work. I am a day sleeper. Motel started a construction project and didn’t notify me. Saws ran constantly during the day. Dust filtered into my room. They should close down until completed work.
