Guest Reviews
- Nadim (10/5): - Nice and affordable price
- Khalid (8/5): - Overall, the service is good and we enjoyed our stay.
- Jakob (10/5): - Was a little unsure about staying here at first but it actually turned out to be one of our favourite of our trip!! Staff were super friendly and helpful! There were 4 of us so having the suite with two rooms and a kitchen was awesome. Breakfast had everything we needed and parking was just across the street. Location was great, only 10 minute walk into the heart of Charlottetown! Felt super safe and clean as well. Would stay again!
- Michael (10/5): - Great value if you’re on a budget. No frills but lovely staff and great where it needs to be.
- Roselina (8/5): - Free basic breakfast of bread, bagels, cereal included which was appreciated. The dorm was clean and roomy woth a kitchen, bathroom, and 2 bedrooms. No hairdryer provided in the room. Free parking in the lot across the street. I would stay here again.
- Kateryna (8/5): - The property has a good student vibe as it is a college dorm.
- Shreyas (10/5): Living Like A Student During Your PEI Vacation - Very handy location, parking availability was very much appreciated, front desk staff were extremely helpful, reasonable breakfast (although space is limited during peak times) was also welcome
- Andrea (8/5): - We have stayed several times. There is a lot of noise from kiddos staying and also a lot of sirens this stay. We also noticed there appears to be a homeless issue at the park next door.
The room itself is no frills. It is however a nice large space with 2 bedrooms, kitchenette and private bathroom. Front desk staff are mostly friendly. Would stay again.
- Robert (6/5): - The property is exactly as described and well located. Be aware that it’s a college dorm. But they offer private rooms. Everything was just fine.
- Patricia (6/5): Glendenning Student Residence - It was a two room unit suitable for two people. There are no cooking dishes unless you request them. It was small and adequate was not furnished very suited to relaxing.
- George (10/5): - Great location.
- suzanne (8/5): - Your listing said laundry, but it was not allowed except during dinner hour. Very m
isleading.
- Shinkwon (8/5): - Breakfast was good
- Marsha Darlene (10/5): - Our stay here felt just like home. We found the service impeccable, the building very quiet and clean and we found breakfast to be fresh. We were most amazed with the late night overnight servuce we received from front desk it was amazing. I believe the ladies name was Erica but could be mistaken. She made my partners night with her banter and conversations. Always felt greeted and welcome here.
- Ben (8/5): - Good value for the price for sure.
- William (10/5): Central PEI loctuon and easy to get to - The place has everything you could need for a longer stay including dishes. Staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable.
- Rhonda (8/5): - It was a comfortable apartment and the breakfast, staff and parking was good.
- sasa (8/5): - Excellent stay close to downtown.
- Simon (10/5): - Tres bon rapport Qualité prix et le.personnel est vraiment agreable.
- Sarah (10/5): - We absolutely loved it there! We will definitely go back!
- Suzette (8/5): - Convenient location to the downtown ,spacious accommodation, large breakfast area and great choices, attending staff very attentive
- Jigs (6/5): - It was difficult to reach the front desk at times to make changes to the reservations. Big breakfast line up. Not enough tables / chairs to sit and eat. Kitchnette had no dishes, pots, pans or cutleries to cook food.
- Mark (6/5): - This dorm room was safe, clean, and had no frills. For the location and ease of free parking it was a good value.
- Marc (10/5): - Great accommodation.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Small appartments are good.
Breakfast is also good.
- MYRNA (8/5): - Stayed in an apartment with two bedrooms and a kitchen. Clean. Safe. Friendly staff.
- Kenton (2/5): - This place was disgusting. Upon entering the room, we were greeted with the horrible stench of body odour and heavily spiced food. Dust bunnies littered the floor throughout the room. When we pulled back the sheets on the hastily made bed, it became apparent that the sheets had not been changed, as pubic hair and body oil stains were all over the sheets, along with hair on the pillow.
When these concerns were brought to the front desk, we were told there was nothing they could do about it, as housekeeping had gone home already (it was 6pm), and management would not return until Monday (it was Saturday). I asked for an air freshener to help mask the odour, but was told that they were “basic” and had nothing like that to offer. We knew the accommodation was basic, but we incorrectly assumed that it would still be clean. Avoid this place at all costs.
- Richard (8/5): - We started off on a bad note. We had a buyer "beware experience."
While the property provides a fridge, stove and micromave, it does not provide pots, pans, dishes, cutlery or other kitchen items to use these appliances, unless you request them (noting their absence after entering the space). Kitchen items would then be available if the property have not already allocated their supply of these items to the other guests who checked-in before the supply ran out.
Prior to checking-in we had reserved space for 2 adults. When we checked-in, the property assigned us a space with 3 bedrooms and advised us that the space was 1/3 more costly. When I showed the property personnel our Expedia booking, they said they had run out of the type of space we had reserved so they "upgraded" us to a larger space, but had neglected to honour the Expedia booking - by accident. After our enquiry regarding the unexpected increase in cost of the space, the property reduced the cost to that of the Expedia booking. It seems that if we had not pursued the matter, the property would have charged us 1/3 more than the Expedia booking.
Otherwise, the property, was very clean and the continental breakfast was very good.
- Courtney (10/5): - This was my second time staying here. The price can’t be beat. The rooms are clean and the two bedroom option is fantastic for the price. Wifi was great and even a quick breakfast option for that price! We will stay again.
- Brenda (10/5): - Very clean, quiet ,and reasonable priced Will stay again.
- Paul (8/5): - We stayed for 2 nights and it was perfeft for a quick 2 night stay.
- Ross (8/5): - Clean and wslking distest to visitor centers
- Pierre (10/5): Great ! I strongly recommand. - Our stay was great. I highly recommand this place.
I wish I had read the welcome card in the apartment when I arrived. I would have known that we can borrow cutlery.
- Cinny (10/5): - Nice stay
- Bich-Thao Thi (8/5): - Breakfast is ok only, facilities is not good enough for us to use, kitchen supplies are shorter!
- Thutrang (10/5): - An old apartment but well equipped, very clean, unbeatable price and great walking distance to the downtown, and all restaurants.
- MUHAMMAD (10/5): - This hostel was good and it's near the downtown.
- Christina (10/5): - Exactly what we needed. Easy walking to everything we wanted to see. Would recommend to anyone.
- Michael (4/5): - As basic as it gets: Bed, bath towel, bar soap. You will not cook here. There are no paper towels in the kitchen nor hand towels or wash cloths in the bathroom. Location is good and we felt safe. VERY NOISY with doors in the hallways slamming but not during quiet hours. Hey - it’s a dorm. You get what you pay for.
- Manish (8/5): - I had good experience at this location.
Very close to downtown
- eileen (8/5): Great location - Great location , good size , staff friendly
- Mariusz (8/5): - Breakfast was ok, ac and some air filtration unit so noise
- Rebecca (8/5): - I really liked the ability to save money by having a kitchen. We were able to eat healthy suppers and make lunches. I did not find the beds comfirtable but my kids did. It is clise to a Tim Hortons, Wendy and a gas station and there is a playground next to it.
- Judy (10/5): - A great place to stay in Charlottetown. Walk easily to the downtown core. Breakfast was good although we wished either the bread or bagels were plain.. both everything didn’t appeal. The staff are fantastic. I bought plates etc as the cupboards were empty but found out after you can get same from front desk. Eat at Maud Marion’s..you won’t be disappointed
- Anass (10/5): - Good place to stay. Will come back for sure.
- Lin (9/5): Superb - Locationis perfect. Price is good. Big room space. Breakfast is too simple and the room for breakfast is small. A lot of person there , you can't easy to get what you want.

- Rhonda (7/5): Love Charlottetown and Glendenning Hall helped make our stay good. - Checking in, parking and the proximity to the harbour were all great. The suite was very clean and both window a/c's worked well too. The light covers on the beds were not enough to keep comfortable over night. A blanket in each bedroom would have been appreciated.
- Tracy (10/5): Exceptional - clean and convenient place for family travel, close to DT.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Free continental breakfast with bagels is an unexpected surprise. Bed mattress is not too soft that provides good support.
- mark (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Ricardo (10/5): - Great
- Janet and Keith (10/5): Our stay - Great value
- Tony (8/5): Very good - location, full kitchen and frige, breakfast
- Lucie (8/5): - The accomodation (2 bedrooms) was good for us as well as the lounge areas to meet with other relatives staying there. The idea of a box with dishes, dish detergent, etc. was also appreciated and the staff at the front desk were very helpful. Parking facility was good and carts for luggage useful.
Too bad the park besides is not as safe for children as we would have expected. Also, the dining room for breakfast is a little small. I personally found the bread and bagels fresh and delicious but I saw quite a few people rejected the bread and putting it back there because of the little pieces of onions that they did not recognized or did not like. Some thought the bread was getting bad with mold. I would also suggest to add plain bagels since many people don't like everything bagels and bread. Otherwise, variety was fine.
- Ann (10/5): Wish we stayed longer! - Breakfast was delicious and satisfying.
A perfect location within walking distance of downtown. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. We wish we were able to stay longer.
- Omid (3/5): Poor -
- Brian (8/5): - Great budget minded property.
- Zhonghong (8/5): - Price is compatible. Nice place.
- Kevin (6/5): - Clean and serves the purpose. I thought by the pictures that the room had a living room type space but it turns out it’s a common area on the floor. The room had 2 bedrooms and a kitchen and bathroom only.
- Brigitte (8/5): - The breakfast area was too small for all the people in the room
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Barbara (10/5): - Glendenning Hall was an excellent surprise and a great place to stay for a few days. Be sure to specify the number of bedroom you need. Each bedroom had a tv and the unit had a kitchen. You can borrow kitchen supplies from the supervisor. There is also a coin laundry available from 4 to 10 pm.
- Yvan (8/5): Très bon rapport qualité/prix - Très très bon rapport qualité/prix, centre-ville accessible à la marche, personnels très gentils!
- S&m (9/5): Nice stay for a couple of nights - Basic but very clean. Perfect Location. Everything is walkable.
- Viacheslav (10/5): - It’s very good

- Jennifer (8/5): Great location fine for just sleeping. - Great locations rooms and beds mediocre Rooms pretty beat up
- Tessa (8/5): Very good -
- Yellowfa (7/5): Great location, good worth of money - Great location, very friendly staffs. the kitchen is a bonus.
Minutes walk to downtown There's a dead crockroach on the bed when we arrived. The bathroom need some works too
- Paul (7/5): Excellent value but some warning about the kitchen situation would have been helpful - Amenities, breakfast, cleanliness, price Nothing in kitchen to prepare meals
- Anonymous (8/5): We would definitely come to stay again.😀 - Breakfast was just fine. Someone was regularly replacing items and cleaning tables.
Our rooms were comfortable and fairly quiet. Good mattresses and bed linens. The air conditioning provided great relief.Towel supply was great. There should have been a regular mug or two or even some bamboo cutlery provided.
- Bondy (8/5): Very good -
- Andre (8/5): - We did have a quiet stay at this location with family. Its a good location to walk around and walk to the harbor. I don’t think anyone can beat the price to stay.
- valerie (10/5): - Consistent standards.
- Tammy (10/5): Great stay and worth the money - Great location,
Good amenities
Easy to get to
- Fay (7/5): Great -
- Kim (6/5): - Beds were very uncomfortable and there were sports teams there that were allowed to run up and down the halls like stampeding elephants.
- prinisha (10/5): - Worth it for the price
- Monica (8/5): It was in a great location.cconnected to the cross island p - I didn’t like the breakfast, although there was plenty of food. I would have liked better bread, real cheese, and granola for cereal. Coffee was good.
- Emily (9/5): Superb -
- Antonio (8/5): Very good - Good location to everything
- Jennifer (8/5): - The breakfast wasn't the best, they had bagels but not much for bread. Overall the experience was good. Nice to have separate rooms. Most places are within walking distance.
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional - Great place and stay A little expensive for a college campus
- Anonymous (8/5): I have stayed at Glendenning Hall in the past and I will stay in the future. - Very clean, comfortable beds, ideal location. Breakfast was plentiful; lots of bread, bagels, juice etc and the breakfast area was constantly being cleaned and restocked. Over all, a very pleasant stay.
- Paul (10/5): - This was a great find. We stayed in a two-bedroom dorm. Each had a window air conditioners that kept the rooms very comfortable. The kitchen had an apartment-size fridge with a freezer section which was great because we had cooler freezer packs to re-freeze.
The staff was incredibly helpful. Check in was quick and easy and the fellow working the desk made a great recommendation for dinner. The young lady who worked the night shift was very helpful as well.
The building was clean and tidy, and there was laundry facilities available. They offered a breakfast bar in the morning - nothing fancy just toast and bagels, coffee, tea and some fruit, but enough to get you out in the morning.
If you are looking for a solid budget option for accommodations you can't do better than this.
- Staines (7/5): Good - The staff, especially the lad who looked after the breakfast room, he kept the place well stocked and clean The fact I had to ask for clean towels and sheets,I was staying for 3 weeks but the apartment was not cleaned once in that time, nor were the bins emptyed
- Lauraine (8/5): Very good -
- Donna (9/5): Superb -
- Irene (8/5): Basic but good - Great for our purpose. 2 full size beds. Kitchenette in room is convenient. Breakfast room is crowded. Coffee, juice, cereal, everything bagel and toast. Yogurt and hard boiled eggs in Fridge. Convenient location.
