- karen (9/5): A relaxkng and thoroughly enjoyable break. - Such a picturesque setting with beautiful gardens. A sense of luxurious comfort and and attention to detail that is lacking in modern hospitality. Exceptionally tasty food. All of this and we could bring our furry best friend to enjoy it with us too.

- Mullen (8/5): - Location was excellent and beautiful Breakfast, full irish was not the best, black pudding was hard and sausages were drab.
- Eugene (8/5): - The hotel runs with the efficiency of a well-oiled machine. The staff are polite and very attentive while the food is to a very high standard overall. Our room was cosy and clean, although the absence of a lift can prove problematic for anyone with a disability.
Well located, the hotel affords easy access to the surrounding area.
Overall, the hotel exudes a homely feel, offering good food, attentive service and comfortable accommodation.
- Iain (9/5): Lovely hotel with an amazing restaurant - Large comfortable room, plenty of space for our dog. Very friendly staff. Superb food. Lovely location. For an awarded dog friendly hotel, it was surprising that there was no public rooms in the hotel where we could sit with our dog, except for a tiny conservatory.

- Black-rover (8/5): Oud Iers hotel.
- Bogdan (7/5): Nice building - The building and surroundings are really nice. For lovers of traditional houses, this is a good place to spend some time. The room I got was smaller than expected.
Heat in the room stops during the night, and windows are not sealed properly.
Breakfast could use some variation. Though, good quality.
Quite expensive for the offering.

- Tony (10/5): Masters of Tradition - Very accomodating as wife a bit difficulty with mobility so organised ground floor room.
Evening meal was superb. Rack of lamb to die for
Breakfast excellent with fresh and local produce available.
We had no pets but is dog friendly and other guests had a dog and were very happy
- Margaret (10/5): - Food, staff and service outstanding Bathroom a little tired, could do with an upgrade but still spotlessly clean
- Rauan (10/5): - Beautiful grand old hotel in a very nice location. Very nice staff. Good restaurant. And very nice for our little dog. Had a great stay.
- Mickel (10/5): Very nice, comfortable and great staff - The hotel is a bit of the beaten track, which is great since there's not going to be much noise. Located just outside of Bantry, you're a 5 minute drive from the town.
The hotel is splendid. It's beautiful, outside and inside. Rooms are big (we did have the Jr Suite), well appointed and charming. We even had a door to the garden, which was great since we're travelling with a dog.
The room even has a top notch nespresso machine... very helpful in the morning.
Breakfast was very good, all inclusive with a buffet and on order any type of hot breakfast, and of course a full Irish breakfast.
They have a very nice and modern spa facility, including seaweed bath.
- Guest (2/5): - Peaceful area. Paid on arrival , when we were checking out we were asked to pay again ( we said we payed ) they said it was ok but after tried to charge our card again . Followed to our car and asked us to come back up , they realised we payed already and thought it was funny . Very unprofessional .
- drw82 (7/5): Nice hotel, great breakfast, could do with a bit of modernisation - Nice location, friendly staff, lovely grounds, very nice breakfast The rooms were a bit old-fashioned, beds much too soft and the room was extremely hot even though it wasn't particularly warm outside
- Michael (8/5): - Amazingly friendly staff - nothing was too much. Good food, particularly the breakfast, well presented. Had the feel of a comfortable country hotel from another era.
- Antoinette (9/5): \it was short but very pleasant. - We had a lovely dinner, it was exellent and thebreakfast was very nice too. Our room was nice with a lovely view of the garden.
- David (10/5): -
- Linda (8/5): A very homely and relaxed place for a break. - The breakfast was superb. There was great variety and the staff were most obliging. It was lovely to have a really hot breakfast and there was no problem in getting more.
We didn't take the dinner option.
The room was lovely and spacious. As we were on a relaxing break, the space was great for us to sit around and feel relaxed. We didn't feel under pressure at any stage during our stay. The tea and coffee facilities were only average. Very little milk provided and even on our second day, the milk wasn't replaced and we had to get our own milk.
- Emma (6/5): - It was a lovely location and the staff were very friendly. The quality of the food and facilities did not reflect the price of the stay. We didn't feel that it presented good value for money.
- Nancy (9/5): - Lovely place. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very good. We also used the spa and had a good experience there. Would definitely stay here again. The rooms could do with a bit of an update. Still very comfortable though.
- Michel (8/5): - Petite salle de bain. Pas de mouchoirs papier
- Vicki (8/5): -
- Rita (10/5): Exceptional - A very enjoyable stay. I had my dog with me and the accommodation was ideal. The staff were lovely and friendly. The food was delicious.
- Adrian (10/5): Lovely - Delightfully old world charm, immaculate gardens, lovely staff, spacious rooms Only on vegetarian main choice for dinner on menu and it didn’t change over our 4 night stay.
- Niamh (8/5): Very good -
- Niall (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eileen (8/5): Lovely relaxing stay - Lovely peaceful location
Lovely food and really nice staff The only thing I didn’t enjoy was dessert pear and almond tart it wasn’t nice very dry

- Orla (9/5): Superb -
- Casey (10/5): - Thank you for a lovely experience
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Mike (8/5): Over all a very pleasant experience and enjoyed our time there - Nice staff, lovely location and lovely spa (we had the sea weed baths and it so relaxing) The food was nice but standard fare. Which is a pity as I was expecting something special based on the reviews. Just a little feedback and don’t want to be too fussy but I was asked how i would like my lamb and I said medium but I got it well done.
- B (7/5): Good - Gardens and surroundings are beautiful Staff were slow with service. Very kind but not so attentive.
Shower really frustrating. It did not fit in the receiver properly so it kept moving from it's position. It was easier to just hold it.
- Anne (8/5): Convenient location. - The location was ideal for trips to Glengarriff and the Ring of Beara. The staff were very pleasant. We visited this property many years ago and found it slightly faded now.
- Noel (7/5): Good - Hotel lovely. Code for front door would not work
- Kathleen (8/5): Very good -
- Andrea (10/5): Lovely place to start (or finish) the Ring of Beara.with a lovely& delicious dinner - Great location to start the ring of Beara with comfy bed and delicious dinner! All was great!
The only watch out is about dinner options.
If you don’t want to drive id like to advise the dinner in the hotel - which was delicious.
The only other walking option is the Mannings emporium, that do tapas in the summer, but you need to reserve ahead (couple of days) as they have only very limited seating options.
Their code is great!
- Bernadette (8/5): Very good -
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Francis (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic evening menu, and breakfast spread. Great staff, very friendly and welcoming. The room was generous. My type of place tbh, family run, I felt at home
Thank you. The option of two rashers instead of one for breakfast, because they were delicious.
- Qixin (9/5): Superb -
- Saukatali (9/5): Superb - Pleasant hotel inside and around. Staff friendly and helpful. Food and drinks great.
- John (7/5): Food very tasty - The food was top class and staff are lovely.
Loved our order for dinner taken as we sat in the little bar having pre dinner drink. There was a skip full to the top and overflowing with building rubbish in the carpark . It looked poor on arrival to this lovel y old building.
The skip should have been removed or at least closed off someway.
The bedroom we stayed in was up on the top floor and centre front of the hotel, but out of our window we could see only a tiny view of the sea, big trees are blocking the view. In fairness, the gardens in the front are lovely but a little bit of trimming needed to open the view up would be lovely. The bedroom we were in could do with a little modern twist even though it's a real old building and kept to feel that way , I think a few modern little changes could make this a real love nest. The carpark at the back was our biggest compliant so that's not too bad. Food is outstanding !!!
- Keith (7/5): Charming hotel that could do with more sympathetic updates internally when investment funds permit - Hotel grounds were lovely and it has great charm internally with original furniture and traditional decor. Breakfast was very good and staff all friendly and helpful We felt the bathroom, whilst clean and usable was in need of update as was the bed
- Susie (10/5): A gem in this beautiful part of Ireland - Just magical. Tradition at its best. Honest in every way. Was a wonderful change from ultra modern fast world
Wonderfully friendly, kind and fun staff. Superb dining.
- Leonie (10/5): Perfect pet friendly stay in West Cork - The staff were incredible - could not have made us feel more welcome. We brought the puppy and they were so considerate of her. Breakfast was lovely and had a vegan option! Dinner was perfect and we were kindly gifted drinks for our engagement. Location is great and scenery is breathtaking. We are looking forward to coming back :)

- Sheila (8/5): Very good -

- Fiona (8/5): Lovely rooms, staff friendly and welcoming. Best asset the hotel has is warm and friendly staff. - Staff were very friendly and hard working. Did all they could to make guests comfortable. Nothing to not like. The hotel just reopened on 12 March, my first night. There were a couple of quirks with the way the sockets for the TV and the kettle which I had not realised but were sorted by staff.
- Katrine (10/5): Fabulous from start to finish ! - From start to finish our stay was wonderful . Gorgeous place , tasteful and homely , gorgeous room , comfy bed . Exceptional staff and delicious dinner . Breakfast was lovely . Spa and facilities excellent . A real Gem . Wr will be back in the Mew Year!
- Niamh (9/5): Superb -
- Dpjross (9/5): Really nice hotel - lovely room with a view of the sea - comfortable bed with a nice bathroom. - Really nice hotel - lovely room with a view of the sea - comfortable bed with a nice bathroom. The hotel has a relaxed "country house" feel with a great bar and friendly staff. We had a cocktail and then a lovely dinner, with great food, wine and service. Breakfast next morning was excellent - my only very small issue was the coffee could have been better. We stayed one night, as part of a few days driving the Wild Atlantic Way - highly recommended. Can't think of anything.
- Ray (7/5): Nice people excellent dinner place was cold bedroom clean bed not so comfortable - Breakfast. Presentation and selection very good
However I had an omelette which was burned black on top would have sent it back but for the pleasant friendly server
Liked the old world style /the staff / The heating in the resturant and public areas was not adequate
Make better use of the fire places to create warmth feeling if fires can’t be lit
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gail (10/5): We loved all the staff, rooms, food, the piano & Seaview’s sitting areas. - Ronin was the perfect host. Eileen was very kind, as was Helen. Justine gave me the best massage I’ve ever had in my life, she’s worth her weight in gold. I don’t know who would ever replace her. And Leemore was very helpful to me & a great Massuer as well. Nothing!
- David (9/5): BRILLIANT - food and service were amazing
- Don (8/5): Very good -
- Kirsten (10/5): The perfect start to my trip - Gorgeous country hotel in a beautiful spot. The hosts could not have been more kind and helpful. The food at dinner and breakfast was excellent. The spa experience was also fabulous especially after long flights
- Mcdonnell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olivia (5/5): Passable - The breakfast was a complete let down and I would have expected a lot more given the price we paid to stay last Friday night for the tour de beara cycle. Great opportunity there for the guest house to attract guests to return for the annual cycle Over priced all in all.
- Stephen (7/5): Good - I liked most everything about the place Left waiting from time to time at the bar but that's all I can complain about
- Kevin (6/5): Value for money,..no..staff were friendly and accomadating - Firstly, thank you for providing breakfast st 7 , I believe 7.30 is the normal time, as cyclists we were up at 6
30 for the cycling event in glengarrif. However breakfast choice was poor, not a lot to choose from and someone forgot to serve me my toast. On arriving to the hotel I was greeted my a mass of pot holes at the main gate...surely the manager is aware of this..needs repair work immediately.
- Gerry (9/5): Superb - staff were extremely helpful and polite lack of EV charging facility
- Niamh (10/5): Lovely stay, exceptional food. Very friendly staff. - Clean, character, spacious Nothing
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
- Marie (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (9/5): Hotel a bit old fashioned but comfy and welcoming. Restaurant dinner was fabulous and breakfast was one of the best hote -
- Gavin (9/5): Stay at Seaview House Hotel - Beautiful surroundings.
Beautiful food.
Exceptional staff who go above and beyond.
Spotlessly clean.
So peaceful and quiet.
Perfect location as a base to tour around West Cork. No lift. Not disability friendly if you book a room on the upper floors and it was a bath instead of a walk-in shower, again not disability friendly. Maybe available in other rooms, so check before booking.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Unique hotel setting, gorgeous views, great food, fantastic service - The staff were super friendly, the food was fabulous for both breakfast and dinner, and we loved our lovely view from our room.
The location is great too for anyone doing the Bantry cycle.
We will definitely be back ! There is nothing we didn't like :-)
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Howard (9/5): Superb -
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb -
- Rachel Hodges (8/5): Faded mid-century glamour in a beautiful location. - This hotel was in a lovely location overlooking the Atlantic Ocean near to the stunning Beara Peninsula - the exploring of which was an unexpected highlight of our 13 night tour of the Irish Republic.
The hotel itself was rather like stepping back in time to the faded glamour of a begone era. I felt like I could have been in an extra in an Agatha Christie novel. It was very charming with beautiful pieces of antique furniture dotted around but don't expect mod-cons and - as hinted earlier - some updating of facilities at this price point wouldn't go amiss. But all in all we had a very pleasant stay topped off by breakfast served in a lovely airy dining area overlooking pretty gardens.
- Adriana (7/5): Good - . .
- Sally (10/5): Lovely unique hotel, individual style, great location and super breakfast - Comfortable, lovely breakfast, great location All good
- Jean (9/5): Superb -
