Guest Reviews
- Erin (10/5): - This location was perfect for 5 adults. We walked everywhere so the location was very central. There is an Aldi avross the street for groceries and we had an emergent need for a suitcase and there was also mall across the street.
There is no AC so plan accordingly.
- Melanie J. (4/5): - Property was within walking distance to most attractions in the city centre, and public transit.
The apartment was minimally equipped. The TV screen was cracked and had very poor reception and sound.
The area is grungy and we didn't feel safe entering and exiting the building, as there was a crowd of drug dealers right on the doorstep that we had to get through to the door of the building on a daily basis. The entrance is also poorly lit, noisy, and second hand smoke rises up through the windows.
- Veronica (10/5): - El alojamiento se encuentra en la zona centrica de Dublin, se puede alcanzar el centro de la ciudad a pie y tiene cerca varios supermercados y restaurantes.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - A fiirst floor apartment at Stewart House, which locates above a bar, was allocated to us. We felt very unsafe when we checked in and whenever we returned to it. It's noisy at night, we heard people talking on the street, waken up the whole family.
To our surprise, the place looks completely different from what was shown in the website. Photos being described as "Exterior" in the website are actually not the exterior of the apartment and the apartment is not on Parnell Street. The officer of the apartment company claimed it was the view from the apartment. Neither did we see such view. This is very misleading to us. Our booking was primarily based on what we saw in the pictures.
The water heater inside the shower functions properly but it worked like a noisy engine.
We stayed there for one night and requested changing to a safer place the next morning. We were then relocated to another apartment of the company. Appreciated.
- Angela (10/5): Had goods and bars but great value overall! - Cute, clean 1 bedroom apartment with a washer/dryer, kitchenette that came in handy when my daughter got to the place from Spain and had laundry to do! The couple things that we weren’t too pleased with were the beds were very hard, we couldn’t adjust the room temperature and it was quite warm at night. Also the apartment is located in a very busy corner area that would be very loud at night.
- Meghan (10/5): - The apartment was in a great location close to Dublin city centre. The staff was very responsive. Would recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely stay! - Accommodation was lovely and very central, near supermarkets. May not be suitable for families or female travellers due to the activities happening downstairs (casino and the corner shop, can get a bit rowdy at times). Only complaint within accommodation is the water pressure in the bathroom. Overall will recommend this accommodation!
- Jesica (2/5): - Terrible experience. From the beginning we asked to check in and pick up the keys between 11 to 11:30 pm, when we arrived there was nobody there, we had to call them and apparently the person on call was covering an emergency and we had to wait 30 min outside at night. The neighbours were scary and the flat was next to a shop where young males were smoking and hanging out blocking the flats door. The main door lock was not secure and we felt very vulnerable and in an unsafe situation. Next the washing machine was blocked (by a previous tenant) and didn’t allow us to recover our clothes. We told them we were leaving one day early as it was unsafe and the quality of the flat is bad. It doesn’t look like the photos. It took 1.5 hours for them to send a technician to fix the machine so we could leave the flat. Terrible customer service and obviously I didn’t get the money back for the night we didn’t stay there. Avoid!
- Declan (10/5): - Perfect location, easy check in
Good value
- David (10/5): - Property was actually in Stewart house on Parnell street. Very Central and within walking distance to most tourist sites. Quality of pub food around the ares was superb.
- Britt (8/5): Perfect get away for a good price - Beautiful location right in the center of the city. Apartment has everything you needed for a cozy stay.
- Deirdre (8/5): - Great location! It was a little confusing trying to find the apartment inside the building, and we had to ask a resident, who was really helpful and nice.
- Adrian (10/5): - This place seams more a home than an apartment. The staff is very helpful, they tried all the time that we feel happy. The apartment is located in a safe and quiet zone but close to main attractions and public service.
- Denisse (8/5): - Good location. It’s located in one of the main streets so it can get a little noisy at night, but overall I recommend this place.
- Matthew (4/5): - Liked: Walking distance from attractions. Apartment size was large for a city. Beds were comfortable enough.Close to grocery stores and restaurants.
Disliked: Apartment complex and apartment itself was not well cared for or maintained. Smell was horrible and the hallways are bare and filthy. Dirt lining the sides of the hall. It’s like no one has cared for 5 years and is pleased with just taking a rent check.
Apartment also had a horrible odor. Toilet was not working properly. Shower did not work properly (sounded like an airplane taking off). They were moldy and unkept. Apartment smelled terrible.
Main Street was fine. Side street where we were overlooking was sketchy. Lots of street vendors peddling produce, used electronics and screening at the top of their lungs at 6 am that they are taking bets and posting the bets for who knows what.
I would stay away from this place unless you just want a place to crash near the center, you are young and just want to drink.
- Jo-Ann (10/5): - We actually were moved to a different apartment in another part of the city, Grafton Hall near St Stephen's Green. This was due to a leak in the apartment we were supposed to be staying. The company communicated this the day prior to arrival which was fine as it was a great location, within walking distance of everything. The apartment had everything you needed. The only thing we found was it was very warm in the apartment, no air con or fans. Windows are very old, very noisy at night as it's on a really busy street. Great for couples and groups!
- Ann Saunders D. (6/5): Apartment not as shown - The apartment was not the one pictured. No chairs except for dinning chairs. Not even a chair at the desk.
- Hannah marie (6/5): - The apartment was in a great location.
The beds weren’t comfortable me and my 3 friends only got one pillow and wasn’t really provided tea or coffee and didn’t get any fresh towels either. I think for what we paid we should of at least got a little extra provided for us.
If I was going to come back to Dublin which I will be doing I wouldn’t choose to stay here again
- Keelin (6/5): Worth it for the Price - My friends and I decided to take a weekend trip to Dublin and were pleasantly surprised when we got this apartment for around 100 USD cheaper than anything we could find on AirBnB (as that is our usual choice). The staff were prompt about getting back to me on a later check-in time. The apartment itself was relatively small, but workable for four people. Our room had two twin beds and a pull-out sofa. The beds were very comfortable, however the pull-out was a double at the largest and quite creaky and uncomfortable. Besides the beds we had no issues, and the apartment is extremely well located and walkable to virtually all of the city (excluding the airport of course). Overall the stay was about what was expected for the price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great view and lovely living room. Really spacious for 8 of us. Location for trams, buses and shops was really great all on the doorstep. Check in friendly and helpful. Maintenance quick to respond to issues. Comfortable beds. Dishwasher and iron.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The hot water in the apartment did not work appropriately for two days. Instead of compensating is appropriately, they tried to brush the issue under the carpet. Poor service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This property was close to anything you ever want or need. Within walking distance to all sites.
- Tammie (6/5): Dublin Stay - The picture on your website when I booked this trip was NOT the building that actually housed this apartment. The one bedroom was small with a double bed the other bedroom was fine. One bathroom is NOT sufficient for 4 adults. There weren't enough bath towels for the week, no wash clothes and we had to go buy some of both. There was mold growing around the walls near the windows. The clothes washer never worked and the blow dryer blew cold air only. They never refilled the coffee and tea. For the money money spent it was fine. The location was pretty good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Overall, really great apartment in a good location, close to shopping and grocery. A little loud right by a main road, but manageable. Would have been helpful to have some extra bath towels as well as additional kitchen products (paper towels/napkins/kitchen towels).
- Nancy (8/5): - It looked nothing like this picture. It was very basic and plain. Still, it worked well for our family. The office responded well sometimes and not at all at other times.
- Marvin (10/5): Downtown Dublin - Great location. Clean and all we needed
- Micheal (4/5): Disappointed with the standard - The apartment was very small but appeared far more spacious online. Floors were not clean, the wardrobe contained a broken shelf and clothes rail, windows were dirty, no batteries in the TV remote and light was not working in the bathroom A hotel would have been far better value for money.
- Mark H. (2/5): Misled and Disappointed - The property provided was not the property pictured or described. Some of the issues: barely room to walk on both sides of the bed in one bedroom; no storage space; noisy water heater through the night; 3 extra pieces of furniture clearly just stored in the apartment; committed property had 2 baths, this property had one; nothing provided to make coffee.
- Mary (8/5): - It was in a good location. It was very clean and was comfortable. We had issues with our shower and the handles to turn on and adjust hot water. The colleague was helpful, however, the issue was not completely resolved. It is in need of a plumber to put in a whole new fixture so I am hopeful for the next people staying there will not go through we did. Overall, we had a great experience.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice - A very nice apartment in an excellent location.
- Helen (10/5): A really good way to stretch your budget! - I was incredibly happy with this apartment. We were on a tight budget due to the expemse of staying in Dublin and just being able to do pizza or sandwiches in our perfectly equipped small kitchen was a great saver. There was also a washing machine, and it was so handy. When the shower decided one morning to reduce to a trickle it was fixed before I got back from a day out with just a quick call.
You collect the keys from an office, but you can arrange to be collected from the airport, driven there then driven to the hotel, which I recommend as it's a good introduction to Dublin.
The beds were comfortable, everything clean, lots of towels and if it had been cold extra heaters. This particular place was very handy for both tram routes.
My only complaint was the windows were single glazed and one night some people at the back were having a good party, and you'd hear the bells on the tram dinging, but that was the only thing. I paid a lot less for four than a lot of friends paid for a 2 person room at the conference :)
- James (10/5): Great location, everything you need! - Thé only thing missing was a few hooks or towel bars, but the location was fabulous, check-in and check-out couln't be simpler. I will certainly recommend ghis place ti any friends travelling to Dublin!
- Gabriel (10/5): Great place for a family - The apartment was very spacious. Had everything you needed. The place to pick up keys was easy to find and helpful staff. Also next to a grocery store and a very good restaurant king fisher
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location was excellent, shower drain not working, blown globe in bedroom would recommend
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The space was great, the views were great from the 8th floor balcony, and Common area. A minor issue with damp, as could be seen from the silverfish, that scurried around, however overall it was a great property.
- David (8/5): A little quirky but a good value rental - I would give our flat 8 or 9 out of 10. Our expectation was a 1 bedroom flat with 2 double beds(one as a sofabed) and that's what we got. I believe the group Parnell Square manages multiple flats in multiple buildings, and they try and put people in flats that mostly fit their needs. So I can only comment on the one flat we got, all of the others could be very different). Ours matched our expectations, another renter that arrived the same time as us-went to their flat and then came back and requested something different, and I think Parnell worked with them to change. Our flat was right above the Dominick Luas tram stop so close to everything. This flat reminded me of a the first place I rented after college. It was kind of quirky, not perfect, some things you have to adjust to or get used to. Everything in the kitchen and bathroom was reasonably up-to-date. The apartment building had good security and the area seemed safe. It was right on a main street in Dublin and just a few blocks away from the river and all the other attractions we wanted to see. We were a family of 4 and overall I think we got good value from this rental.
- Summer (4/5): Photos and listing are deceiving - The pictures in the listing show some very nicely furnished and updated apartments however, the apartment we got was basic, at best. We requested 4 twin beds but ended up getting two doubles and a twin. The amenities in the apartment were sparse and, I'm not sure why, but after the first night we were there the cleaning service came in and made up only the bed in the "master" bedroom. They did not make up the bed in the other bedroom nor did they replace towels nor did the return any other day. The blinds didn't work in either bedroom so we had to manually flip the blinds to close them to block out the sun. The people at the check in were nice but we feel like we got the bait and switch with the apartment we received.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Pictures can be deceiving - We booked the hotel for a family of 4. When we arrived at the office to check-in, we were informed that they only had a room for 3 people and that we needed to take up the discrepancy with hotels.com. I said that it should be fine because the picture on the website showed a full couch. The apartment manager shared that the picture was not actually our hotel room/apartment. It was a marketing picture. The hotel did offer to move us to another apartment across town but we would have to pay for our own transportation to the other hotel. We agreed to stay and later wished we had not. When we got to the apartment, the cleaning crew was just finishing up. The strong smell of paint was overwhelming!! They had recently painted the bedroom and the fumes were horrible! The apartment only had one double bed (enough sleeping arrangements for 2 people - not 3 as originally stated). The apartment office did provide a roll-away twin bed but because there were 4 of us, my husband ended up having to sleep on the floor. The bathroom smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke that I couldn't use it with the door closed. The hot water did not work but thankfully my husband was with us on the trip and was able to call the apartment manager and figure out how to reset the hot water heater fuse. Overall, the price of this apartment/hotel was too expensive for the quality of the property. I would strongly recommend to NOT choose this property for your future stay.
- Narendra (10/5): - very conveniently located
- Kimberly (4/5): Don’t go there! - Both elevators were broke for 2 of the days we were there... we were on the 8th floor. The boiler room had a horrible smell that seeped into the rest of the rooms and the floors were gross. So glad to get out of there!
- Morgan (8/5): - Great location. Spotless apartment, short on a few ammenities such as hangers and towels. Overall great stay. Just a short walk from some of the best fish and chips we’ve ever had at the kingfisher restaurant.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location.Basic but good Value! - Everything was perfect!
Really enjoyed the central position of the apartment and the welcoming and fast check in.
The apartment itself had everything we need and couldn’t ask for more.
Only let down was the entrance to the apartment the stairs, the lift and the corridor were in need of a clean and a repaint.
Also a few of the dogier locals hanging outside and in the hallway so have wits about you.
Great value and great location!
Recommend for people who just want visit the city...drop and go and not to spend most of the time in the apartment
- Betsy (10/5): - Great little spot! Much improved staff at check in! All around good spot. Only improvement would be cleaning the floors, and the bathrooms.
- ka lok tommy (8/5): Valued for money and clean with all amenities. - Good location. Close to bus and train and tram stations. Large apartment can sleep 5 adults. Further improvement on blinds to block outside lights and noice will be excellent.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Location was great as were beds and amenities. Kitchen wasn’t updated but functioned for what we needed. Noise from the street is all night long because of the market and seagulls, once we used wax earplugs it was fine.
- Verified traveler (6/5): didnt stay - We didn't get to stay at the Parnell appartments. Apparently there was some maintenance work that was not finished in time so they checked us into a different appartment. Bedroom small with double bed one person had to climb on the bed from the bottom of bed when a couple stayed together as bed was against a wall.
- John (10/5): Give this a try, you wont regret it! - Spent a weekend in this apartment and I have to say it was clean, well positioned, easy access to all of Dublins tourism hotspots and i would thoroughly reccommend it to anybody! The staff were also very helpful!
- Jem74 (8/5): City Centre Family apartment - This apartment is suitable for a family staying in central Dublin, it was clean and had most equipment required. The only thing that was needed would be the luxury of having a dishwasher or if not that a tea towel to dry up! The apartment was fine for a family of 5, a little bit noisy but we were in the centre and had to have the windows open because it was so warm! So maybe an air conditioning unit would be nice. Would recommend and use again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Apartment fine- clean. Basic. Couldn't work tv. Excellent location. Very noisy at night from street- bought ear plugs after first night.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Central Location - Acceptable apartment, lacking "panache" but value for money spent!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good apartments - 3 people stayed in a 1 bed apartment. Good location, easy walking distance to town, attractions and transport. Clean and tidy apartment with good facilities (inc hair dryer). The only downside was the lack of wifi connectivity - we struggled to access the wifi, which made it difficult to plan some of our activities.
