• Andrew (10/5): Great spot when passing through - Great spot to stay when your traveling through and need a quick rest shower and something to eat. Walking distance to some nice restaurants. Staff were super friendly and the room, although kinda dated was clean and well maintained.

• MARIA LAZIL (10/5): - It’s a delight to stay in this place where it’s located just right at the corner of the highway. Owners are very helpful and friendly. Affordable and accessible to all travellers. Room is clean, only that it didn’t have a hair dryer and i took shower late. Anyways, no big deal. I recommend this motel.

This fit the bill and had a big enough room for 2 adults and 4 kids. It isn't much to look at but the rooms were clean and the service was friendly. It served our purpose.

• tracefo (8/5): Good value for the money. - The hotel was good for a stop on the way home. It was nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. The owners were very sweet and willing to help in any way. The pool needed a facelift and the room was dated but it was fine for a stopover. The mini fridge and microwave were great. The beds were very comfortable.

• William (10/5): Superb - The world needs more motels like this. Great location, price, clean, well kept, cozy, friendly owners, and with good character and personality. After booking (long in advance) I let them know I would be a late arrival on that particular night, and Lily's timely communication on the lead up, attention to detail, and kindness was a welcome and wonderful thing, especially after such a long trip. Grateful, and would recommend this motel enthusiastically.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Motel des Erables - If you need a room just to sleep at a decent rate that is quiet and clean this is the motel to stay at. This is a no frills Motel. Wifi was weak (but we had the 2nd last unit at the end of the motel) and limited cable TV channels. Bed was comfortable.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Charming - Certainly the best independent motel I've visited in a long time. I arrived very late and had no phone service, but it didn't take long for the manager to unlock the office door and check me in. He was very friendly and spoke flawless English, and made me feel very welcome immediately. The room (10) was clean, with a new bed with a pillow top mattress. The TV and fridge worked well, although it's time to defrost the freezer. The very retro bathroom was small but functional, and the amazing water pressure in the shower would be illegal in the States! Free wifi worked well. Close to the A-20 but not noisy at all and I felt safe. Next time I visit Montréal I'll definitely pass on the expensive places closer to the city and stay here again!

The baseboard heat radiator and the refrigerator are noticeably distressed in appearance. The room was clean, but the bed cover was stained. The price was good, and there is a Provigo supermarket within walking distance.
• chantal (8/5): Quick stop off the hwy - Stopped for the night on our way home from our trip. People were nice, the room was clean, had a TV, A/C and comfortable bed. The stay was fine but the place could really use some updating. The floors in the room looked new but everything else was pretty dated. The outside too could use some work. For the price it was really fine.

• Linda (8/5): Friendly Owner, Very Accommodating - We really enjoyed talking to Lily the owner and her husband. They were very friendly. Her son offered to go swimming with our 8 year old daughter so she wouldn't have to swim alone. Following the swim, they invited her into their home for ice-cream and a movie. The room was what one would expect for $69.00 per night. It was a clean, comfortable bed and quiet place to lay our heads. Lily and her husband upgraded our room to a suite at no extra cost because not all the rooms were full at this time. We appreciated their helpful and accommodating hospitality. Will stay here again on our way to London, Ontario.
• Krista (6/5): Room security - The way that the door to the room locked was so primitive! It's what I had on my bedroom door 20 years ago. On the inside you push the knob in and then twist it. No dead bolt or anything.

While I wouldn't suggest it for an extended stay, it was exactly what we were looking for: clean, affordable, close to the highway. Though old and antiquated in several areas, the owners have done their best to make it a pleasant stay.

The motel has probably been built in the 50's but has been well maintained or upgraded when and where it was necessary . The cleanliness is impressive.
