La chambre supérieure avec terrasse était juste parfaite : literie, douche immense, propreté parfaite. Le petit déjeuner est incroyable, différent tous les jours, des produits frais et locaux, un très beau mélange de salé et sucré. Le personnel est aux petits soins, toujours prêt à donner pleins de bons conseils pour les visites. De très belles randonnées à faire au départ de l'hôtel. • Larissa (10/5): Wunderschön gelegenes kleines familiengeführtes Boutique Hotel mit regionalem, erstklassigem Essen. - Ein familiengeführtes Hotel mitten in den Bergen gelegen. Die Zufahrt erfolgt über eine sehr enge Straße, doch wenn man einmal oben angekommen ist, wird man von einem tollen Blick begrüßt. Für jedes Zimmer steht ein Parkplatz zur Verfügung. Das Hotel ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und bietet alles, was man braucht. Jedes Zimmer ist ganz individuell gestaltet und hat einen Balkon oder eine Terrasse in Richtung Süden. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und bietet ausreichend Platz, sodass man selbst am Pool und der angrenzenden Liegewiese Privatsphäre genießen kann. Das Personal ist sehr herzlich und steht jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet, bietet alles, was man sich wünscht und wird bei gutem Wetter auf der Sonnenterrasse serviert. Es gibt sowohl ein Buffet, als auch ein kleines a la cart Angebot. Besonders zu empfehlen ist das Abendessen, das als 4-Gang Menü mit Produkten der Region serviert wird. Wir sind an unserem Anreisetag sehr spät abends (21 Uhr) angekommen und wurden mit einem ausgezeichneten frisch gegrillten Wolfsbarsch überrascht. Sowohl vor, als auch nach dem Essen kann man im Loungebereich (mit Kamin) einen Aperitif genießen. Am Pool gibt es eine kleine Selbstbedienungsbar. Leider lässt sich das Zimmer nicht komplett abdunkeln und es gibt zwar eine Kaffeemaschine auf dem Zimmer, allerdings keine Kapseln.
• Mirabel (10/5): Heerlijk! - Heerlijke rustige accommodatie, via een steile weg omhoog maar prima te doen, ‘s morgens ontbijten op het terras met een super uitzicht! Als je niet wilt eten bij de accommodatie dan moet je met de auto terug de berg af, denk 20 min naar Granada.

• Sarah (9/5): Peaceful boutique hotel with delicious food. - This is a gem of a hotel . It is perched on the edge of the Sierra Nevada with views over a beautiful valley and is very peaceful . The staff were friendly and professional . The food was delicious . We had the set price evening meal on the terrace which was excellent value and they catered for my husband who does not eat meat . The breakfast buffet was one of the best ones we have had with unique and creative touches . We would definitely go back . It is up a steep drive but this is also what makes the view special .

Das Personal und Inhaberin Patricia waren super freundlich und gaben viele wertvolle Tipps. Die Anlage und der Pool waren ebenfalls toll und das Abendessen (auf Reservation) war sehr lecker. Wenige Zimmer, daher sehr ruhig. Strasse zum Hotel ist eng.

O pequeno almoço e o jantar deixaram a desejar - pequeno almoço demasiado simples e jantar dos mais caros e dos que menos ofereceram. Ingredientes de boa qualidade, mas doses pequenas e pouco reconfortantes. O alojamento investe numa imagem sofisticada, mas na prática essa preocupação não se reflete no atendimento. A forma como fui abordado por alguns elementos da equipa (ao contrário da dona, que foi impecável e super profissional) pareceu-me pouco profissional, com falta de etiqueta e de foco no cliente, o que contrasta com a imagem que o espaço tenta passar.

El personal super-agradables, la habitación bien equipada, camas muy cómodas y los desayunos muy bien en una terraza muy bonita. La cena es por petición, no está incluida en el precio. Nosotros cenamos dos noches, la primera noche bien pero la segunda noche regular, consideramos que no se ajutaba al precio. Aunque como descargo debemos decir que nos preguntaros si podían hacernos otra cosa.

• Sommer (10/5): A Truly Magical Stay — We Loved It So Much We Extended Our Trip! - We cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at La Almunia del Valle! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome. They remembered our names, checked in on our plans each day, and went above and beyond to help us organize hikes, activities, and dinner plans. Their warmth and attention to detail genuinely set this place apart! The food was incredible! Fresh, thoughtful, and beautifully prepared. Breakfast and dinner overlooking the mountains was a highlight! And the views… absolutely breathtaking! The hotel sits quietly in the hills near Monachil (a quaint town with some great local spots for tapas!), close to some fantastic hikes and just far enough from Granada to feel peaceful without being inconvenient. We loved our stay so much that we actually extended it — and would have stayed longer if we could! This is one of those rare places where you instantly feel both cared for and completely relaxed. Highly, highly recommend. We can’t wait to come back!

The room is clean, the view and terrace are amazing, and the shower is a very nice extra. The breakfast in the morning is great, with lots of local and freshly prepared options. I can definitely recommend the freshly squeezed orange juice, which was particularly delicious. Dinner at the hotel consists of soup, starter, main course, and dessert. I would highly recommend dining at the hotel; every dinner was different and very tasty. In short, I would highly recommend staying here and I might even come back myself!

Wir hatten zwei Zimmer, eins im alten Haupthaus und eins im Anbau. Das Zimmer im Haupthaus hat mir persönlich besser gefallen, da ansprechender eingerichtet. Sehr schöner und gepflegter Pool-Bereich im Garten. Etwas wenig Parkplätze, wenn alle Zimmer belegt sind.

Breakfast is very good, we couldn't eat outside because the wasps were hungrier than us. The pool is great (very cold) and the honesty bar offers very nice stuff The room is luxury room with Hamam-like shower!! We loved the extra touches of the nuts in the room fresh from the trees!! More of an improvement rather than dislike - I think at the end of the breakfast 10:30, you still should maintain the food as we came to some empty plates on the buffet, as the wasp ate my plate, i couldn't get from the same things we took because i took the last bits..

• Ute (10/5): Ein liebevoll gestaltetes Kleinod inmitten spektakulärer Kulisse - So gut wie alles, mitten in der tollen Landschaft gelegen, mit Blick auf die Sierra Nevada, konnte man direkt vom Hotel aus loswandern. Das Zimmer war klein, aber sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Bett bequem, die Dusche perfekt. Mit der kleinen Terasse vor jedem Zimmer hatte man auch eine Privatsphäre, wenn man draußen sitzen wollte. Eigentlich nur die Straße, die zum Hotel hinführt, vor allem wenn man so ein schlappes Auto bekommen hat von der Mietwagenfirma, das den steilen, engen Weg hinauf nur mit Mühe schafft. Dafür kann aber das Hotel nichts. Das Wasser im Pool war mir persönlich zu kalt.

• Else (10/5): Mooie kleinschalige accommodatie met persoonlijke aandacht in prachtige omgeving - Het is een heel mooie accommodatie, met veel zorg en huiselijk ingericht en met een mooie tuin met diverse zitjes. Wij hadden bovendien een heel fijn terras bij onze kamer. Er is heel veel persoonlijke aandacht, het personeel vraagt steeds of ze nog iets voor je kunnen doen. Het avondeten is fantastisch. Bij het ontbijt kun je van alles bestellen. Niet alles staat op het buffet, maar je kunt het wel krijgen, dit om verspilling te voorkomen. Het is heel kleinschalig en gemoedelijk. En je kunt er prachtig wandelen, meteen vanuit het hotel. Het zwembad wordt gevuld met water uit de rivier en is daarmee te koud om in te zwemmen. Het weggetje er naartoe is heel steil en heel smal.
• Christian (10/5): - Sehr schönes kleines Hotel in nicht zu übertreffender Lage. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in unserem sehr schönem Zimmer mit absolut traumhafter Aussicht. Das Essen hatte eine tolle Qualität und hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Auch der Service war sehr persönlich und gut.

• Claudine (9/5): Magnifique et déception - Hébergement de très grande qualité. Nous avons dîner, c’était délicieux et le personnel attentionné, mais très dispendieux. Notre déception : nous pensions avoir une terrasse privée pour profiter de la vue magnifique, mais notre surprise a été de constater le contraire. En fait, la terrasse est adjacente aux tables extérieures pour les repas, donc rideau constamment fermé dans la chambre (#11) et aucune intimité pour se détendre.

• Rita (10/5): Comfortable, relaxing stay. Staff nformative about the area, things to do & extreme,y helpful - Breakfast: fresh fruit, cooked items on request, buffet table, cereals , breads. Different items on buffet table every day. Dinner: 5 courses, small but beautifully presented and very tasty. Menu changed every day with staff informing us at breakfast what would be on the menu that evening. Allergies, likes and dislikes taken into account. We liked all of it ! The service was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and our host was on hand too to check if we were happy with every thing. We stayed the last week in September when it can be cool in the evening so bring an extra sweater if you want to remain on the outside terrace for your evening meal. (you can opt to eat indoors).

• L. (9/5): Een heerlijk verblijf waarbij gastvrijheid voorop staat! Relaxed en zeer lekker ontbijt en diner. - Een zeer warm welkom en vriendelijke ontvangst. Werd even rondgeleid en verteld hoe alles werkte. Het ontbijt was zo zo lekker!! En ook het 5-gangen diner met mooi uitzicht. En alles heel relaxt. Fijn zwembad met ligbedden. Niks viel tegen. Een minibar zou alleen nog een wenselijke aanvulling kunnen zijn.
• Heidrun (10/5): - Das persönlich geführte Hotel ist eine wunderschöne stilvoll eingerichtete Oase in einer fantastischen Lage. Alle Mitarbeitenden sind herzlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Man fühlt sich sehr willkommen. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen sind von hoher Qualität. Absolute Empfehlung!

• Oleksandra (10/5): It's a serene, peaceful, and wonderfully cozy retreat that feels like a home away from home. I can't recommend i - La Almunia del Valle is, without a doubt, one of the most incredible places I've ever had the pleasure of staying. It's the definition of quiet luxury and a true hidden gem. The owners have meticulously thought of every detail, ensuring the highest level of comfort and hospitality. From the delicious dining options to their excellent recommendations for local activities, every aspect of our stay was perfect.
• Jennifer (4/5): - The hotel is definitely not for disabled guests or those with mobility problems. The paths are in the main just rocks cemented together and very un-even. We had ground floor room and to get to the first floor dining room you have to climb a flight of exterior uneven stairs. There is a flight of steep interior stairs ( also un-even) but the hand rail only covers about 50% of that flight. Even the floor in the dining room is not level and is like polished slate crazy paving. THERE ARE NO LIFTS. There are also several other small flights of STAIRS WITH NO HAND RAILS, like the access to the lower level outside swimming pool, which is surrounded by natural grass. Trying to walk on the paths surrounding the hotel is difficult and dangerous. The breakfast food is rather strange, with strange concoctions of canapés that just don't work. The only hot food is either eggs and toast. For 3 consecutive days the toast was a French stick cut into small chunks however STALE BREAD IS NOT FOR ME. Evening meals are salad,cold soup (gespacio) followed by a small portion of OVERRATED MEAT/FISH accompanied by a small amount of barely warm vegetables. Just the one option, although a vegetarian option was available but EVERY DAY THE VEGETARIAN OPTION WAS NOODLES WITH VEGETABLES. We actually booked out a day early both hungry and disappointed with the whole experience.
• Ute (9/5): Eine Oase der Ruhe mit freundlichem Personal und hervorragendem Essen. - Auch wenn die Anfahrt zum Hotel über die schmale Straße zunächst als etwas abenteuerlich anmutet, so ist die Lage außergewöhnlich schön. Die Aussicht von unserer Terrasse auf die Sierra Nevada war beeindruckend. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Essen mit regionalen Produkten hervorragend.
• Janet (10/5): A wonderful week of complete relaxation - All the staff were exceptional. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The accommodation is very well appointed with every need considered. From the awning on the private terrace to the honesty snack bar at the pool area. The food is delicious at the restaurant and beautifully presented. And of course the panoramic views, peace and tranquility. Not a dislike, but an observation is that the property is on several levels so perhaps not suitable for people with mobility problems

• DR Welch (9/5): A lovely relaxing break in beautiful location. - Food amazing! Have never had such a lovely breakfast in any other hotel. Dinner was a joy and the views from terrace breathtaking. The road leading up to hotel is not for the fainthearted driver.
