- Verified traveler (8/5): I like this place. - The room decor is stylish. The staff is friendly. They speak mostly Thai and a little English ... OK by me. It is just a short pleasant walk to the beach ... about the length of a football field. There is a 24 hour convenience store at the corner and there are some nice places to kick back and have a refreshment by the beach. Back to the hotel: The chef is excellent -- We really enjoyed sampling his culinary art. My wife is a chef and she gave it a good review. You have to walk through the open air restaurant to get to the lovely pool, which is ok because there is a bar there, too. It is quiet and very clean. They could supply just a little more coffee in the room, so one can have a second cup if one wishes -- I'm sure they would supply extra with the asking. Our day there was a very nice experience overall. The hotel is tucked into some nice tropical foliage, away from the big expensive sometimes noisy hotels on the beach. If you are driving, there is ample parking in the garage under the hotel. If you want a rocking nightlife, I didn't see much around there, so you might have to inquire if that is your liking. For a place to kick back and relax and to use as a base for exploring this area, it is fine. I will stay there again when I am in the area. dcb
