Guest Reviews
- MARY-CLAIRE (8/5): - This place is nice and quiet, though from the street, you do not know where to go to access the property and if arriving at night, its difficult to find. The street sign is hard to see as there's a tree in front. The booking confirmation needs to have photo of the pharmacy out the front with directions to walk down the right hand side.
The apartment I had could do with some extra amenities, face cloths/washers, cups in bathroom, somewhere to hang the pool towels etc.
Overall, it's a great place to stay and staff helpful.
- Curtis (10/5): Everything was perfect! - Everything about this hotel/villas was amazing and perfect. With a 2 story 1 bedroom villa all to ourselves we felt just at home. Beautiful comfy bed and couch, will a beautiful community pool right at the door and air con on both levels it was easy to cool of after you've done some shopping or just done a beautiful beach walk. The staff are also so very nice and help with any enquiries. They got us a wonderful driver Gus Anom, who I couldn't recommend more! 😊
It is also in the best location you can think of close to all shops you could need but with the peace and quiet your looking for too. 😊
Also you have the bonus of a beautiful cat who lives at the hotel her name is Layla. 🥰 We had I minor problem with the hot water on the top level of the villa but that was fixed in 5mins by the wonderful staff. NOTHING TO DISLIKE. 😊
- Ricky (8/5): Good location, big rooms and great price we paid - Good location, big rooms, for what we paid great value. If had to complain, would be beds were hard.
- Matthew (8/5): -
- Shane (10/5): Excellent stay with friendly staff - Self contained units very modern and comfortable. Close to the beach and restaurants
- Anthony (7/5): Good value stay in the heart of Sanur - Great location, hidden from main Sanur strip Very basic…. Toiletries left a lot to be desired
- Debbie (10/5): - was a very nice olace close to everythung and a small pool to come back and take a dip to cool off.
- Kerryn-leigh (8/5): Very good - Lots of space, i didn't even use downstairs, nice spot
- O'halloran (8/5): Pleasant! Refreshingly spacious and clean, trendy aesthetic. - Beautiful outside garden/pool/lounge area. Balcony on top floor (unit is two stories, with the bedroom up top and the living area on bottom). Nice gas stovetop and fridge with a freezer, so I could cook. Provided a tank of mineral water so I didn’t have to worry about going to the store so frequently, although it is conveniently located right behind the pharmacy and many other stores to satisfy most all of my needs. Staff friendly and helpful. Clean grounds. Sewage smell when I took a shower, and water only stayed hot for about a minute then ran cold the rest of the time. I only stayed two nights, so it didn’t bother me too much, however it would have been frustrating for a longer stay. Overall things looked clean though.
- Jan (8/5): I would rate this property much higher if it provided drinking water and extra blanket/s. - Location, spacious, clean No drinking water. No extra bed cover - felt cold while sleeping
- Jan (8/5): Very good - I arrived late and found there was no drinking water.
- Rayaway (5/5): Passable -
- Justine (7/5): Overall was clean and adequate for my accommodation requirements - Good location. Nice towels in bathroom. In the room there was a strong sewer smell downstairs and upstairs just the wardrobe had a bad smell. Bought an air freshener so my clothes didn’t smell.
- Alesia (7/5): Great location but hotel would need some improvements - The location is great! The property could have some renovation. The AC on the second floor almost didn’t work so it was very hot to sleep there. Even though the price of the hotel is not very low there was not even hand soap and enough shower gel. Some hooks for towels could be installed as well. At our last day there we have seen a huge cockroach on the first floor.
- Craig (8/5): Well priced apartment in Sanur. - Nice friendly staff, large apartment and a nice pool/garden area. Good kitchen with all the utensils you need. Nothing really - a bit hard to find (its behind the pharmacy).
- Simone (7/5): Good -
- Ben (8/5): Easy place to stay, location and price were A+ - Pool was a great temperature, with well kept gardens. No soaps/water, which is such a small thing as there is very easy access to so many options to buy these items.
- Tricia (7/5): Good -
- Annika (3/5): Good at last minute. - Good location, available at last minute. Pool was lovely Shower was broken, had to use hand shower. Powerpoint next to bed was coming out if wall. Room smelt of smoke. Toilets didn’t flush well. Stairs were dangerous.
- Roxanne (8/5): Very good -
- Sally-anne (6/5): Nice enough property, well located to shops , restaurants and beaches. - The rooms were large and spacious and clean. We arrived at the property only to be told upon arrival that they don’t accept credit card. I felt this should have been communicated through booking.com prior to arrival. They don’t supply breakfast, bottled water and even though the rooms have a kettle the property doesn’t provide any tea or coffee.
- Monique (9/5): Really generous sized unit. Bed super comfortable, quiet, central location. - Huge and spacious two-story unit. I probably didn't need two levels. The pool was overchlorinated.
- Cotter (8/5): Very good -
- Marianne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marianne (10/5): perfect - very spacious. two floor condo. way more than needed. perfect location. big pool. great staff.
- Aimee (10/5): Upgraded! - We were upgraded to one of their sister villas! Which was amazing! We got a private villa with private pool for the duration of our stay!
- Trevor (9/5): Superb -
- Arief (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eline (8/5): Loved our stay!! - We loved the place! We had the feeling of living in Sanur. People also live here and that was very nice. Perfect swimmingpool! And it is actually a house because of the livingroom with kitchen and upstairs bedroom! Very quiet Kitchen is very basic.
- Mandy (10/5): Exceptional - I was moved to Ellora Villas due to an issue at S'Cape. I was upgraded to a private villa, it was beautiful Nothing
- David (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (9/5): Good value for money - well located , plenty of room in the apartment.Toilet down stairs is a bonus maybe a ladder or stairs into the pool
- Surya (7/5): Good -
- Geoff (7/5): Good -
- Paul (8/5): great value boutique hotel/apartment - very friendly & helpful staff, in a well-maintained property. The only issue was the very hard mattress
- Iryna (9/5): Superb -
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Annabelle (6/5): wouldn’t stay here again - good location and nice and quiet room smelt of cigarettes
curtains didn’t block out external light
AC upstairs didn’t work well
- Anonymous (8/5): it was very quiet calm and plenty of room - it was very. reasonably priced towels ..weee very BBB old , they were clean but looked seagulls
- Natacha Salte (10/5): - Great place with friendly staff and very spacious!
- Anuchai (10/5): Peaceful place! 2nd time around! - Nice place to stay!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is very quiet, only 16 apartments so no mass tourism, close to shops & good restaurants, as well as beach & beach clubs. The apartments are very roomy & confortable with nice big King sized beds.
Some of the apartments could use a little tender loving care. The hotel laundry service was not so good & a bit expensive for Bali.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Loved the staff and how it was central to everything Sanur has to offer. On the main street but behind a cafe so noise wasn't an issue.
It looks really tired needs new curtains, pillows and doona covers which are all stained but clean. We had no hot water and no sooner we went up to our room they were fixing it. It's double story and a beautiful place if it just upgraded to newer items.
- John (6/5): - Large, quiet, conveniently located property that required some
maintenance.
.
- Brian (10/5): Comfortable in a great location. - Great location, back from the Main Street of Sanur. 1bedroom condo with bedroom upstairs. Nice bathroom....lots of hot water! Lighting could be brighter. Lots of closets and storage. Big bed, but hard mattress....pillows could be better.
Nice living area, steps from the pool. Not enough lounges around the pool.
Adequate size fridge, 2 burner hot plate, electric kettle. Missing....coffee maker, toaster, microwave.
Overall, great value.....would stay again ( we might after visiting Ubud and Gili Islands!)
- Michelle (10/5): Little Gem in Sanur! - This is a great self-catering apartment in the heart of Sanur. Easy walk to the beach and all the shops and restaurants. It is located behind the restaurant Cinnamon, so while its near everything, its very quiet.
This unit is HUGE! It is two stories and 1.5 bathrooms with hot water! The pool is a few steps from your sliding door and there is a small but lovely balcony upstairs.
The main challenge with this apartment is that the kitchen is severely under-furnished so cooking was not easy. For example, there is only 1 tiny frying pan so making breakfast was not easy. This is a pet peeve of mine. If you are a self-catering apartment, please stock cooking tools so one can actually use the kitchen.
Beach/pool towels are available upon request each day but be sure to ask early in the morning before they run out. Also note the towels are worn, ripped and stained. Seems they need to invest in some new towels.
The staff was always friendly and helpful. The place is very clean and peaceful. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
- Mark (10/5): Convenience - Excellent townhouse - clean , modern , quiete Good location , the excellent cinnamon restaurant at the front , kitchen with fridge and coffee facilities and bloody good value - not much more I can say really
- Pauline (10/5): - Have stayed at Scape many times and was still good, value for money, over all was pleasant stay staff very good
- david (8/5): great central location for shops and restaurants. - we had a very pleasant stay. it was easy to get around except that parking for our hire car was out on the street and often up to 200 meters from the hotel. the staff were all friendly and helpful.
- Geoff (8/5): Peaceful, quiet, and everything at your door. - Basic apartment that is not maintained by owner, however it is a large 2 storey apartment that is very well cleaned. Bed is firm but comfy. I will return here because of the pool at the door and the atmosphere, its right in the middle of Sanur. Very quiet and peaceful. Would be 5 star if owner addressed maintenance issues.
- Kev & Barb (8/5): Central to most things in Sanur - Overall we found our stay to be very pleasant. Scape is close to most of the things that you need in Sanur. It is reasonable priced and has pleasant surroundings. We went in late July early August. We found the pool a little on the cool side as it does't get a lot of sun, but this didn't stop us or other people using it. The lounge is very deep but we overcame that with the abundance of cushions.
- Garry. (6/5): Ok but a bit pricey for its condition. - The interior is a bit dated, and smells of leaking shower and toilets, but the villa is largish, in a very quite complex, which is unusual for Bali. Very quite, big rooms, close to the beach, on the main street area. Great for a family, nice pool, lush gardens. All in all a good place to stay but a bit pricey for the area and not cleaned the best at any time.
- Philip E. (10/5): Great value for money - Our arrival at 11 pm was no problem. There was staff at the desk to show us to our apartment.
All it all it was a pleasure to stay there. No problems at all. Ok wifi, , good laundry cheap service, rooms cleaned every day. Electricity was included, so you could turn on the aircon any time you felt like it. The kitchen come equipped with a couple pots and pans and an electric kettle. Enough to get by. The Hardy's supermarket is an easy walk away. So is the fruit and veg market. That turns into a food stall night market at 6pm. So, the location is perfect for Sanur.
There are 2 floors to each apartment. 40m2 each floor, so about 80m2 of living space plus balcony and shared pool. The grounds are very quiet. It was a pleasure to stay there.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Spend the extra money and go somewhere lovely! - We intended to stay at this hotel the last two nights of our holiday in Bali. When we got to the hotel the entrance surprised me for it was not at all what I expected!
We were then taken down this dark and dingy corridor to our apartment. Really not a nice feel at all.
On going to the property I was not all impressed. Even though it was clean it had no soap anywhere to wash our hands, the TV in both rooms had barely any reception and no English channels for our son to watch. The pool and outside area to be honest I did not even feel comfortable swimming in.
We went out for drinks and came back to a black out in the hotel ( happens in Bali) after 45 minutes it came back on however none of the lights worked.
After this we went and stayed down the road at the griyan!
- michael (8/5): - Facilities: Tired; Value: Affordable; Service: Polite; Cleanliness: Tidy;
5-10 min walk to the beach
- hae-uk (6/5): Low budget stay - Good points: great location, lovely staff, spacious place, cheap, clean, big pool
Negative points: place is a bit tired and run down. One of air cons didn't work properly, shower water pressure was weak, TV set very old, not digital. Also,? The set up of units is in such s way that there is not much privacy, because people opposite can look into your rooms. So one has to have the curtains active most of the time which makes the place quite dark and stuffy.
- Rhi01 (2/5): Horrible stay - I have stayed before and it was great however it's gone down hill. The shower smells like sewerage and the bed was so uncomfortable. The restaurant out the front wasn't open until late afternoon.
- yorkie (8/5): Scape - Very enjoyable once again, stayed here many times in the past and hopefully in the future. Staff really friendly and helpful.
