• Avignon- Two Bedroom Apartment

  Two-Bedroom Avignon Apartment is a modern, open plan, ground floor apartment with stunning views of the vineyards and countryside across Anzac Bay. The apartment is light and airy with a relaxed modern style. Doors open out onto a private terrace with table and chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine and sink. The living area has a heat pump, seating, a wall mounted flat screen HD TV with satellite channels and a DVD player. iPod docking is also available, as well as books, games and puzzles for guests to enjoy. There is a dining table and chairs, and a high chair can be made available if required. The master bedroom can have either a king or two singles while bedroom two has a double bed. Both have their own private bathrooms. A full size sofa bed in the lounge provides extra bedding if required. The apartment is located next to the pool and spa deck with direct access to the large sloping lawn and gardens from the rear terrace. There is parking for one car directly outside the apartment.

• The Bordeaux- studio apartment

  The Bordeaux studio apartment can be a 1 or 2-bedroom suite, dependent on the booking made. The Bordeaux Studio is the two-person booking, it has a king-sized bed. Private bathroom bathrooms, kitchenette and sitting area. The Bordeaux and Guest Room is the four-person booking option. It has the same layout as the Bourdeaux studio and a guest room with a queen-sized bed and a seating area to take in the extensive views over the bay. The bed arraignments can not be made into single beds. Rooms are interconnecting with access through the Bordeaux Studio. Both rooms share the small kitchenette, which has a microwave, refrigerator, toaster, kettle, crockery, tea/coffee making facilities and a table and chairs. The living area in the Studio has a sofa bed and a flat-screen HD TV with satellite channels. Please note that the Guest Room and the Bordeaux Studio are located up external stairs, above the Avignon Apartment. There is easy access to the pool and spa deck as well as the gardens from the bottom of the stairs. A parking space for 1 car is directly outside the studio.

  This small and cozy Chablis self-catering studio is tucked away to the side of the house, accessed via a private gated drive. This ground floor studio is ideal for the more budget conscious. A queen sized bed fits neatly into the alcove with access to the private bathroom which has steps up into the shower. It has a well-equipped kitchenette with a full size fridge freezer, sink and portable oven and stovetop. The living area also contains a futon sofa, wall mounted flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a table and chairs.

Dave the host was very nice and went above and beyond by driving us to the wedding when Waiheke Island Taxis failed to honor our pre-booked reservation and neither called or turned up. The lovely Chablis studio room was very nice and perfectly adequate for two people. The only issue we had was that it appeared that the cleaners had only done a very superficial job and the bathroom in particular needed a good clean to get into the corners and pick up all the stray hair.

Sofa one end of room TV the other, impossible to watch unless sat on bed viewing at an angle. This perhaps a NZ thing but a sink with toaster and microwave is not a kitchenette surely some cooking hob or mini-oven should be included? Little storage space in kitchenette area. No drawer space for clothes. Only 2 coat hangers. Only plastic glasses for pool area but none provided.

• Matthew (10/5): - Nice and quiet location. Only stayed here to sleep before getting on the next ferry in the morning so can't comment too much further. Location is a little hard to find especially in the dark at 11pm but didn't take too long to work out where we were going.

Had all the basic amenities, surrounded by an established garden - the flowering wisteria on the deck smelt incredible! Had a brief interaction with the host who was very friendly and accomodating ☺️ Would have loved to had a top sheet on the bed! Cleanliness wasn’t really up to standard, it was definitely over due a deep clean. Decor and furnishings were a bit tired. The plug-in diffusers smelt too strongly of artificial scent, had to unplug and open the windows on arrival.
• Dana (10/5): It was perfect for a weekend getaway. - The room was lovely with a comfortable bed. Tje host was amazing and even offered to take us to the ferry in the morning. It is a wee bit out of the way. So either pay for the hop on hop off bus or catch a taxi.

Honestly the worst thing was the hill getting here as I had heavy luggage 😂 Taxis on the island are expensive. Once I'd unloaded though it was quick and easy to get to where I wanted to go using the public busses.

The views from the main bedroom were amazing and the kitchen facilities were more than adequate for us as a group of 4 adults. We were met at the main door by the owner who pointed us in the right direction. The room was extremely clean and tidy with plenty of bathroom essentials too. The only suggestion would be to put a curtain perhaps across the bedroom attached to the kitchen/dining area to offer a little privacy in that area. Otherwise the stay met all our expectations and we were extremely happy.

While it didn’t start early it did make it too difficult to sit outside and enjoy a bottle of wine. It would have been nice to be told there would be construction noise before we booked.

Air con, well equipped bathroom with hairdryer. Everything you need for a shore stay. Bus stop and restaurants and shops and Ostend market a short 10 min stroll down the hill. We enjoyed cooling off in the pool! Nothing.

• dane (8/5): - It's a great little gem. The owners are nice and the place is good. But the walk to get there is a bit uphill so if you have mobility issues and you don't have a car it could be a challenge. But if not it's a great place to stay.
• June (10/5): Very enjoyable, quiet and peaceful and very well presented and lovely bedding and comfy beds. - The apartment was lovely and clean and all the necessary requirements for the short stay. We would have used more of the lovely spa and swimming pool facilities had our stay been longer. The apartment was very quiet and private, so this was something I appreciated very much. We appreciated the courtesy car trips we received from Dave I hope I have the name correct. He was a lovely man and took us to a lovely beachside restaurant drove us to lovely winery and provided a commentary about Waiheke Island which was interesting. On our last day drove us to the Ferry. This was terrific and we really appreciated his kindness very much. The steps to the apartment were quite steep and would not be a problem to the younger age group. The milk for 3 people was not enough for the short stay. We could have asked for another carton I expect. The distance from the main activities of this Chalet was a problem we were just lucky that the owner was happy to drive us to some of the places we wanted to visit.

There were spider webs in the stairs and ceiling. The owner was unresponsive when the dishwasher was not working properly. There is no stove.

• Benoy (9/5): This was a beautiful apartment with amazing views on a amazing island, I would recommend this place. - This was a beautiful stay. Our room looked over the lake and hills in Waiheke island and it had to one of the most breath-taking views I had seen on my travels. The small sunroom made watching the view, that much more beautiful. My only complaint was that my partner and I had to walk from the bus station to our room and the walk was brutal. It was a very steep incline and with around 45lbs of luggage, the walk up the hill was incredibly brutal.
