- stevens (10/5): Lovely stay, such thoughtful staff. Really enjoyed our stay and already planning to return! - Stated on booking that it was boyfriend's 40th birthday. Was a banner and note in the room. Dessert at dinner, and birthday wishes at breakfast again the next day by another member of staff. Really touched us how thoughtful everyone was

- Michael (9/5): Arrived tired, settled in quickly, ate well, slept well and breakfasted well. - Room comfortable and warm, and even had 2 small chairs (many places don't do this to our annoyance even when they know 2 people are staying). Evening meal very enjoyable. Breakfast excellent. Only 2 suggestions: 1) another shelf in the bathroom - its amazing how much we take with us to put in the bathroom; 2) a less noisy door for the ensuite bathroom. These are both small details only and don't spoil anything.

- Andrew (9/5): I will return! - Quiet, well maintained, modern bathroom,
Spacious, comfortable bed. PG Tips tea in room? Yorkshire please next time😊
- James (8/5): Excellent but annoyed with room allocation process (not brothers fault) - Breakfast was well presented and ingredients good quality 2 issues
Our room for which I paid in advance cost £175 per night was handed to my brother Andrew on his arrival
When we arrived later I was asked if I was Andrew …
We were obviously then shown to his room which I believe was £150 per night.
The first 2 mornings we were woken with what we assumed were noisy neighbours and invasive bass notes from music played too loud at 7:30.
I later discovered that we don’t have adjacent neighbours to the left and further exploration led me to deduce that the music was coming from below ie the restaurant.
I mentioned this to bar staff on Sunday night and thankfully Monday and Tuesday mornings we had better sleep
- Andy (10/5): Excellent stay - Friendly staff clean room breakfast very good would recommend Nothing
- Lewis (10/5): Gemma made everything excellent for us. - Gemm made our stay all the more better.

- Tony (7/5): Would definitely recommend. - Great location very quiet after the pub closed.
- Philip (8/5): Great pet-friendly accommodation, warm and welcoming pub, gorgeous location - Spacious dog-friendly cottage with very nice decor and amenities. Highly recommended
- Lynette (8/5): Great breakfast and place for overnight stay. - Lovely old out with open fire, friendly staff & locals, bed comfy and very clean with complimentary water, tea, coffee and hand/shower gels . Also has great breakfast options really enjoyed the full English. Room bit tired , carpet frayed little storage. Needs blackout curtains or blind as facia lights on front of pub comes through into room.. Pub is not near anything a local taxi was £20 to go 4 miles up the road and this was the cheapest.
- Nicola (8/5): - Lovely pub with very helpful staff. Beautiful location.
- Sue (10/5): Perfect in every way - Everything was perfect - couldn’t fault it. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional. Lovely to hear the owl hooting outside. Will definitely be back if need an overnight stay while visiting family. Could fault anything

- Justin (10/5): Wonderful short break in great surroundings - Perfect location with superb friendly staff and the food was simply amazing. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.
- Brian (9/5): - Narrow road to the pub
- Rory (10/5): -
- Margot (10/5): -
- Louise (7/5): Cosy bed and breakfast in the countryside - Lovely rooms, nicely decorated with complimentary tea, coffee biscuits and water
Great breakfast - everything you could want in cooked breakfast options!
Staff friendly and helpful Slow service at dinner and breakfast
Macerator pump in the shower room was noisy and came on during the night
Single beds comfortable but a little creaky
- Sheri (10/5): - Friendly, welcoming, and accommodating staff. Friendly locals and beautiful surroundings The cellar fan all night
- Louise (8/5): Very helpful staff in pretty country pub - Our second stay - service at dinner and breakfast quicker this time
Staff very friendly and made a big effort to get our pre-ordered breakfast out at 8 so we could leave at 8.20!
As before, great cooked breakfast options Breakfast doesn't start until 8am! Potentially problematic for anyone with an early crossing at Folkestone and not really 4 star hotel level
As stated above, staff did their best to enable us to eat on the dot of 8 but it was still stressful to have to eat in 20 minutes.
Woken up by the macerator in the toilet/shower room and had to turn it off
- phil (9/5): Great place to stay and value for money - The grounds of the pub were lovely.
Food in bar was good.
Breakfast was brilliant.
Comfortable room with loads of space. Nothing

- Lee (9/5): -
- Daffid (10/5): Great place to relax - Great big room with balcony. The coffee kept being topped up at breakfast. My food was cold at dinner time, massive spiders web in the bathroom, you could hear the music coming from the pub, from breakfast to closing time. The shower tray flooded so we had to pull the hair catcher out.
- James (10/5): -
- erik (8/5): - Mooie locatie, eten en drinken Kamer beetje basic

- Jorgen (8/5): -
- Sandra (8/5): -
- Patricia (9/5): - Quiet peaceful retreat. Service & the breakfast was excellent
- Sally (8/5): comfortable - lovely old building No internet
