• George (1/5): I slept better on the ground in Central America and Vietnam. - We wanted outta there asap after the awful night, so no breakfast. Run, don't walk, away from this place. The main thing they fail to tell you is that every redneck goober 18-28-year-old alfalfa farmer and cherry picker in 3 counties shows up each summer night about 6pm to cruise, show off their noisy and muddy pickups, and generally raise all sorts of hell along main street and a couple of block to east and west. This goes on until after midnight. The beleaguered lady at the front desk, after my 9:30 pm call to ask when it would end, answered, "We never know. Yes, it happens every night. We've talked to the Kalispell police and the city council and they do nothing." Pro tip: Go to Whitefish or stay somewhere else outside of Kalispell, anywhere else. This was the absolute lousiest $400+ room I've ever stayed in, but I'm only 78 so what do I know?

• Tom (9/5): Great old hotel, great staff, wonderful way to start our trip to Glacier NP. - Bteakfast had what I expected and staff helped us leave hotel early. Coffee was great to go . The bathroom was very small, hit my head on the way in.

• Kelly (8/5): It was very comfortable and enjoyable. - The breakfast was delicious the staff super. I asked for an extra pillow and it was brought to our room without a hassle. The decor was very nice and clean. The noise from the streets was quite loud no fault of yours but it lasted all night. I was wishing for a pair of earplugs. Our room was on the street side and cars without mufflers appeared to be racing. Everything else was lovely.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the 24/7 tea and coffee were much appreciated, and the breakfast was incredible (especially the quiche). It felt like I was staying at someone's home, not a hotel. The area was also delightful to walk through, and there are many food options nearby. Thank you to the staff member who kindly let my coworker and I store our luggage after we checked out!

• Rita (1/5): - Property is old and run down. We didn’t get the room I booked because the key didn’t work to open the door and they only had one key. My two options were to down grade my room up upgrade for only 3 of the 5 nights I booked. I went with the upgrade but when getting to the room I saw it was being heated with a plug in electric heater! Completely unacceptable and demanded they cancel my reservation. I stayed at another hotel. Parking is also NOT free. I didn’t like the property at all!

• Cliff (3/5): I will never stay there again. - Not much We paid for a room with a spa bath. It took forever to fill and then I noticed that the "on" button was taped over by management so it wouldn't work. Sounds like false advertising to me.

• Todd (8/5): - Hotel was charming and historic. Desk staff was probably the best we've experienced at anything below 4-star hotel stays. While we appreciated the lobby having both ice water and an air pot with hot water, the room having no fridge or microwave or coffee maker presented a challenge for us as business travels where we needed to get back to the room very late where we could not eat at local restaurants so we had to only have food in our room that we could buy at the local grocery store but not keep cold. We had a room with one king bed and one double. The king bed was fantastic, but at one point we used the double while napping and that mattress was really worn out (like a "V" when you laid on it). Overall we had an A-level experience with this property and for pleasure travel would absolutely stay here again. Just not a place we can use again for business travel.

From its location, the people, its hospitality of great breakfast and ending the day with cookies. The remodel through out is great, especially a very comfortable and clean room.

Furniture was in need of wood touch up. The staff was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. Fresh baked cookies and popcorn every evening. Breakfast was awesome.

• Kellie (8/5): Breakfast and location are great! - They list their breakfast as continental but it featured homemade quiche, oatmeal bars and a coffee cake plus other regular continental items. It was delicious. Location is great. The hotel is “vintage” so weird layouts and creaky floors.
• Shauna (10/5): - Such a considerate staff — we were impressed right from the start. The hotel was so quiet and peaceful, we couldn’t even hear other guests. It’s a quaint place that’s done a wonderful job preserving its historic charm, which really elevated the whole experience. Thoughtful touches made our stay even better — they had cookies and popcorn out for late-night snacks, and after coming back late from a wedding, the staff handed us bottles of water without us even asking. The location is also perfect, right on Main Street, with most things within easy walking distance. Just an all-around great atmosphere and experience.

The furniture and carpets need to be replaced, and the walls need repainting and repairs. For the price we paid, we expected nicer rooms. The staff was very nice, though, and the location of the hotel was great. Went to a great restaurant nearby!

• Douglas (8/5): Comfortable and clean - not modern. - The hotel is nice, but old, and with old you need to accept a few things that aren’t exactly modern conveniences. The elevator is small and extremely slow. The AC units in the windows are of the old style. Also we couldn’t bolt our door because the catch didn’t line up. Overall, however, the hotel is comfortable and clean, and within walking distance to a couple of nice restaurants and stores.

The only downside to this hotel is that 9pm-11pm appears to be the locally assigned time to rev your engines through downtown as loud as you can. That’s not the hotel’s fault or something they can really fix, but if you’re a light sleeper it’s something to be aware of.

• Misty (10/5): Charming, comfortable, and very clean hotel - The Grand Hotel is a beautiful property in Kalispell. The decor and vintage building makes your heart smile and want to stay awhile to take it all in. The hotel is very clean including the room we stayed in. The hotel smells fresh without the use of scented air fresheners. I didn't get any allergies from the hotel. The building is over 100 years old which is so fun! The stairs have a couple of charming creaks which are honestly fun to hear. (You can't hear the creaks from your room.) The room is very clean and comfortable. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The water pressure and water temperatures are great. We stayed in a two bed bedroom on the northwest corner of the building. Early Monday morning the trash collector emptied the outdoor trash bins. It's noisy, but I could fall back to sleep. If you're a light sleeper, I'd double-check with the hotel to find out what days the trash bins are emptied so your sleep isn't disturbed, if you're room is located on the northwest side of the hotel. The service was fantastic, and the homemade cookies and popcorn provided for an evening treat were fun. The continental breakfast is yummy. There was GF quiche, homemade muffins, toast, assortment of cereals, fresh milk, fresh juice, ice water, yogurt, and sweet bread.

• Jeffrey (8/5): - Friendly staff, great location walkable to key places in town. Interesting old hotel with character. Room was ok, not much character, but fine. Recommended.
• Jimmy (10/5): - The hotel is beautiful. The staff was excellent! The breakfast was ok stayed 5 days same thing every day pretty much like the pictures in the Expedia app.. Loved the cookies and popcorn every night. Got the family suite. Plenty of beds (3) for four adults. Wasn't crazy about the slow draining sink or the shower. But overall loved the stay would come back again. P.S. There was a lot of loud vehicles cruising the main Street next to the hotel mostly on Friday night it usually died down by 10:30 or 11:00.
• Kathleen (10/5): - Charming older hotel (opened 1912) that is being carefully maintained. Clean and comfortable. Only caveat is parking is $10 daily not disclosed in Expedia listing.
• Erwin (8/5): - Nicely refurbished historic building. Guests enjoy sitting in the elegantly decorated lobby lounge not only for breakfast. Parking is $ 10/day on public parking next door. Beware of rooms facing Main Street though: Extremely noisy day and night because of traffic…
• Scherer (4/5): Not good value for money - Nice Building Very old installation (bed, shower, toilet, sink, carpets….) For that fare ($300 a night) you would expect a much better hotel

• Cheryl (10/5): Cool Old Hotel - It's over 100 years old but, aside from a very slow elevator (take the stairs), it's very nice. The bed was comfortable, our room had an interesting layout...sort of L-shaped, so our adult son had some privacy. The breakfast was atypical but very good (little dishes of quiche, baked oats with berries, etc.), the eating room was like a museum of Western/Native American art pieces. There was no microwave in the room but you could use the one in the breakfast area, and no fridge in the room either.
• Rhonda (10/5): - Billy was such an amazing host. He had helpful info for our trip to Glacier National Park. Interesting info on the hotels history. He was so personable. Breakfast was made from scratch and excellent. The hotel was very clean and so much charm.

• Vern (10/5): Great location, clean & historic - Hotel is exceptionally clean and service was outstanding. Parking was easy with a parking lot located right behind the hotel. Breakfast was simple but they had some yummy quiche and an oatmeal bake, along w/ breads and jams. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

• Best (10/5): Nice - The girl that checked us in was lovely, very helpful and gave tips on surrounding area. Also mentioned fresh popcorn and cookies to be placed out. Nice to my girls also (teenagers)
• Lynn (10/5): This is a special place. - I liked the location, the history and excellent service. The continental breakfast was a cut above what you normally get. Only negative was the rowdiness of the natives cruising the main drag in front of the hotel. It was noisy but it was Friday night and it reminded me that it is an American tradition, think American Graffiti.
• Dana (9/5): We enjoyed service and location. Would stay again. Also enjoyed art in lobby and history. - Front desk service was exceptional. We had leftovers from a restaurant and the young woman supplied us with a cooler full of i e to keep it fresh. As well, our TV was not working and she came up and did her best to fix, even though, as it turns out, the problem was more than she could deal with. TV could have been connected- but no big deal. We usually don’t watch TV when traveling.

• akilah (6/5): Great staff! - Staff was lovely and the general spaces were very pretty. But our room was fairly average. Unfortunately the street noise was surprisingly loud and light shone brightly into our room all night, despite the blinds being pull. Really poor night of sleep.
