- Sigrid (9/5): - Wir hatten ein sehr gutes Frühstück und die Lage zum Tsitsikamma NP war sehr gut- ca. 15min mit dem Auto bis Storms River Mouth. Sehr nette war auch das Cafe Tsitrus mit gutem Abendessen gleich nebenan.

Breakfast was also fine with a small buffet and some option to choose from the kitchen. The place was quite noisy. You could heard some noise from other rooms next or above you. Also the bed felt a bit old.

Hervorheben möchten wir das sehr freundliche Personal am Empfang und beim Frühstücksservice. Um den Tsitsikamma NP zu erkunden, ist der Ort Stormsrivier ein idealer Ausgangspunkt. Die Unterkunft ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Es gab keine Mängel.

- R. Geb. (9/5): - Nettes einfaches Guesthouse mit einem guten Frühstück und dem Charme früherer Jahre. Das Personal ist hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Lage im Ort ist gut, so dass Restaurants fußläufig erreichbar sind. Im Zimmer gibt es einen Kühlschrank. Getränke (Wein, Bier, Soft) konnten vor Ort erworben werden Die Zimmer sind recht hellhörig, was uns aber nicht gestört hat. Die Betten sind sehr hart.

- Veronika (7/5): Würde nicht wieder buchen - Sehr nah am tsitsikamma national Park gelegen. Man hat von dort eine gute Ausgangslage. In Stormsriver ist sonst nicht viel los. Das Personal ist nett. Das Frühstück gut. Die Zimmer sind schon etwas abgewohnt. Der Abfluss unseres Waschbeckens ist nicht abgeflossen. Der Pool war sehr schmutzig, es war daher auch keiner im Wasser. Preis- Leistung stimmt hier nicht.

Das Personal im Guest House und auch im Restaurant Tsitrus gegenüber, das zum Guesthouse gehört, war immer gut gelaunt, auskunfts- und hilfsbereit.

- DMinTransition (10/5): A lovely stay - Very conveniently located just off the N2 but very quiet. We had a comfortable room in traditional African style, with a terrace looking on to the garden. Breakfast was served in an upstairs terrace with a choice of sitting in sun or shade. There was plenty of choice of fruit, cereal, etc plus a good cooked breakfast. The cafe on the other side of the car park was very convenient and we used it several times for tea, coffee and a couple of dinners. We also enjoyed dinner at the big hotel on the village crossroads.
- BRIAN (8/5): Well located in Storms River village. Lovely staff & sister restaurant next door “Tsitrus Café” - Breakfast on the open veranda. Watching the baboon family on the road outside the guest house. Unlucky timing for us because the air con wasn’t working in most of the rooms which made sleeping very uncomfortable & we couldn’t have our original room because of insects. To be fair, Yvette got us settled into the alternative room as quickly as she could (it needed to be changed from twin to double). Victor was super helpful too, organising a fan (too noisy to use at night though).

Very friendly staff, delicious breakfast on the terrace and very close to the National Park entrance. Plus a lovely little restaurant next door. I highly recommend and wish I could have stayed longer!

- Eszter (8/5): Simple, clean guesthouse - We had a short, one-night stay before an early start the next day. The staff were lovely and helpful, and check-in was smooth. Our room was spacious and clean, and the shower worked well. Breakfast was simple, with eggs, muesli, bread, and croissants. There was no espresso machine, so coffee lovers may want to plan a stop elsewhere. Stormsriver itself is very small, with limited restaurants that close early. We had a pizza just across from the guesthouse. Overall, it was okay for a short stay, and the Tsitsikamma National Park nearby is absolutely stunning. We stayed in a ground-floor room that had a noticeable old-house smell... not mold, but that “aged” scent you sometimes get. It lingered a bit on clothes left outside, so we were glad we kept most of our belongings in our closed suitcases. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, but fine for one night.

You can also enjoy pool, views from balcony and really great breakfast. Amazing stay and nothing to complain about. Definitely a must on a Garden Route in Tsitsikamma!!! The guest house is in a great location and it’s easy to walk to the small grocery store in restaurant in town. There is also a little restaurant on the property, however, I did not get the chance to try it. At night, I noticed that there were a lot of bugs in the room. Not their fault (just beetles, one bee, and some ants). When I checked in, they didn’t have my name right or the right amount of people. When I checked out, the lady asked if I had taken self service beers from the fridge which I hadn’t and seemed surprised when I said I hadn’t.

- Steven (8/5): Lovely guest house, shame about the Tsitrus Cafe - Victor the host was very welcoming and friendly. The ensuite room was a good size with air con and a fridge. The pool terrace is adequate with a few sunbeds and umbrellas. Didn't actually use the pool. Private parking in the forecourt. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were really pleasant and efficient. The service in the cafe/restaurant which is physically separate to the guest house but linked to it, is dire and the worst we had in 4 weeks in SA. Totally ignored us after we had sat down and had to be chased for menus, order and drinks. Didn't possess an ice bucket for the wine which was just dumped on the table unopened. Food was very average. Go to the Tsitsikamma Village Inn which is 300m away.

Bed was not so comfortable (worn out)- but we were asked before whether we would prever Kingsize instead of double bed. House is very loud due to thin walls and doors. Schöne Außenterrasse mit Blick auf die Berge zum Frühstücken. Die Ausstattung schon älter. Nettes Personal. Die Sauberkeit im Zimmer ist verbesserungsbedürftig. Auch ein unangenehmer modriger Geruch im Zimmer, wonach anschließend auch die Kleidung roch.
