Guest Reviews
- Moses (2/5): - the is nothing unique about the place, the advert did not say that the Bar was being refurbished, it created the impression the Hotel was closed, Noise issues
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I mean....
If it's raining
And you'd like some shelter
And all the bustops are full
I'd maybe stay here
But if you want a clean room with clean bedding and a clean bathroom
Stay elsewhere
Paid 21 pound
Still felt robbed
- Tarun (6/5): - No staff responded during our stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Rubbish stay - Visit was absolutely rubbish no towels in room bearing in mind hot weather.
Put my phone charger on disconnect fan so had to turn the main switch on the wall. The worst was when leavibg hotel for dining out 2 cars blocked my car from leaving site. They located one but otherone they could not located which left me in the room. Completely ruined my evening. I Personally would not recommend hotel
- Omar (10/5): Very clean and quiet place thanks - My name is omar I really enjoyed the 4days i stayed in oyo indian resturant hotel staff was amazing place was so nice confi and clean very strategic areas theres alot of shops if needed quich shoping like mini tesco off licence shops very secur car park and the people lived close there was amazing and friendly honestly my next business trip oyo will be the place for me thanks all the staff there
- Verified traveler (8/5): - n/a
- Sanjay (2/5): Bad experience - Firstly when I checked in I was charged for room which was already paid. Then went to room no hot water so went to reception to complain but was told that nothing can be done and they don't have another room . So very disappointed. And would like full refu d for the stay.
- Paul (10/5): - Friendly And helpful staff who always make you feel welcome . Great value stay over in this part of London . The bar / restaurant are is a great place to watch sports .
- Filipa (10/5): - It was great. Very clean.
- Verified traveler (4/5): There's another hotel across the road- Stay there! - It's a very short distance from heathrow which was convenient for a late check in - early check out stop over.
However, I resorted to sleeping in my clothes and avoided using the towels due to unclenliness. The towels had been cleaned and had no nasty smells but still had discomforting stains from previous tennants.
The carpet and bathroom were littered in stains and had very clearly not been cleaned or sanitised between guests, which was uncomforting during the Covid pandemic (Detol anti-bac wipes had been left in the room but evidently not used by the cleaners).
I am used to travelling and "roughing it" in various short stay hotels so I was unphased but much of this - the room was cheaper than nearby hotels... but I will be spending the extra money and staying at the travellodge or doubletree next time!
Oh, and there was an exposed wire hanging at the end of the bed, nearly caught my toes on it a few times!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good mini hotel
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Quick check in
The exit alleyway was horrendous and hazardous
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Shower dirty shower scene broken, quilt dirty tv facing towards the windows 0 scores for the room
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Never been in such a joke of a "hotel" if i hadnt had a flight and been very tired i would have left. There was hair in the sink, the chrome tap had more spots than a leopard, there was mould in the corners of the bathroom, furniture in the room was tacky, damaged and old. The bed...double divan base which has clearly been broken. Worst place i have ever stayed in without a doubt.
- Patrick (6/5): Only stay here if you need a cheap place. - Its close to the airport so we stayed here one night. I wouldn't recommend walking around this neighborhood at night with any valuables on you. There is no front desk just an Indian restaurant where the bartender shows you to the room. They copy your ID like a hostel. The restaurant is locked most of the day so you have to enter and exit through the firedoor leading the the back alley. They don't tell you this when they check you in. So my wife and I were very confused the next morning along with another guest. Until we realized that no alarm will sound when we opened the fire escape. Not our favorite experience.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Like in an aeroport filling screen + form scanning ID, for at the end a rotten thing !
Big difference between the description on the website and how it is the room,,,
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great price . Clean hotel . Friendly staff . Happy to back again .
- Arone (6/5): -
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I am still in shock about what I saw last night. The room was disgusting. I could not enter the toilet area. We left as soon as we saw the room. We had to find alternative accommodation that night just to sleep when we both had early starts at work this morning. It was noisy, there was bits of dust and dirty around the bed, tiles were coming off the celling and more than anything the condition of the toilet was beyond words. I am too upset and tired today but when we are able we will begin or enquiries into how to get a refund. It is unfair this was done to us and the frustration it caused is so upsetting.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don,t go there. - Would not stay here again very dissappointing as far ar the restaurant goes it does not look like photos on this site, in fact eat at Dominoes pizza next door O.K for a roof over your head for the night but don.t expect a good mattress .
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Unclean. Blood stains on the bed sheets. Bathroom I tried to avoid using. Unbearably hot. No air conditioning. Faint aroma of mildew. Maybe the worst hotel experience I've ever had.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - To enter the hotel you have to go through the bar which was occupied by noisy loud people, the staff didn't seem to know what they were doing to book us in, they were rifling about through a stack of papers on top of a computer which was in the doorway between the bar and kitchen, they spoke broken english, after taking money off us they tried to show us to the room, had a key and tried every room door in the place before finding the room that the key fitted, we took one look and announced we were leaving and wanted a refund. The place was totally unsuitable. The beds were scuffed and obviously old, the place hadn't been decorated or freshened up since god knows when. A bus shelter would have been more inviting.
- Jacq (8/5): - it's clean (most important!) and I really the owner/publican - very gracious - as were the rest of the staff I met; DELICIOUS fresh food - excellent; the only thing I'd wish for is a (screwed-down!) radio alarm clock (nice to have an alarm & listen the radio, rather than have the TV on) and perhaps a bedside reading lamp, as well as a large plastic 'glass', to be able to drink enough water and it would help to fill up the kettle - typical female! but a lovely, lovely place to stay
- Michael (4/5): - I don't think there's anything I like apart from proximity to Heathrow. It doesn't look like a hotel to me. No signboard, the ground floor is a bar, the hotel is first floor. The entrance from outside leads straight to the bar. No hotel reception. The bar serves the function and the bar man the receptionist. The bar doesn't open till 11am so hotel logders/guests stay outside standing until the bar opens. Terrible set up for long distance international travelers. The room? Terrible. No duvet cover. Rumpled bed sheets play the role of duvet cover, and tied at two ends. The pillows are tiny that you will need minimum of five to have any effect. The small TV is at 90° to the bed and to the chair. To effectively watch it, you have turn your head 90° , leading to neck pain. TV has no cable, just some dry channels. No live football channels or any at all in the rooms. No intercom. Once the bar man closes, nobody to talk to even in emergency. There was even nobody to check me out at 6am. Terrible. It's not a hotel. No complimentary breakfast. No fridge. I almost changed to another hotel on my second day there. I deserve a refund.
- Jessica (2/5): A bad nasty place dirty place - Worst "hotel" ever. If you can even call it that. The first night I arrived I was left out on the street as the staff member due to let me in to my room was drunk and turned off the phone after several attempts to call. After getting in the next day they didn't seem to care. The room was dirty. The atmosphere was tense and I couldn't sleep with the constant flow of drunks trying to enter my room with their keys. Police were called due to fighting outside where my car was damaged. If I had any other choice I would have been out of there. Unless you want a miserable stay without a wink of sleep. DO NOT STAY HERE.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Not what i expected from the pictures it looked very clean and tidy, when we got there there was no heaters working, a portable heater was put in place, the sheets weren't
- Carlos (2/5): - I would not recommend staying here. I came up to the check in desk & they escorted me to the room. Upon walking into my room it smelled like cigarettes. The room was brokem down as the caninets were chipped. They said wifi was available but it did not reach my room which was the second floor. It only works at the bar area. The neighborhood is not great either. I left in a matte of 2hrs
- Ansa (2/5): Very bad service we got we - We have to wait one hour outside for the check in
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Room is too cold and not a proper heating service room is not clean
- Verified traveler (2/5): - No heating, bad manners, dirty place , it’s a pub hotel, uncomfortable stay
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The property was poorly maintained. The closet door was of the hinge. The shower head was broken. The mattress was old.
- Edd (2/5): - The heating and hot water was not working and in November that's not a good service at all!
- Don (2/5): - This hotel not good no body let me inn i pay and i never say inn becouse no body let me inn
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cheap and close to airport - Room is basic but is good for the price. Restaurant food (Indian) is fantastic. Free local bus (111or 105) to hotel and back to airport
- Jerry (6/5): - This is my second stay at VII, the first being two months ago. It is eminently reasonable for the price. The staff are courteous and helpful, but not readily available, as apparently the main focus of the establishment is on the Indian Pub and Restaurant below. This time around was disappointing, as when I got to the room, nothing seemed to work -- the remote, the tv, the wall sockets. It took me two separate trips downstairs and about an hour or so, before the Big Boss came up to investigate. I have a blown knee that needs to be replaced, so negotiating a steep and narrow staircase was painful. There are no phones in the room to call for help -- one has to go downstairs to get someone's attention. TV, when it worked was small, lights are dim, plug-ins to charge electronics are there, inconveniently placed and one had to experiment to see if they worked. Main electrical problem was that the circuit breaker kept tripping. It was cold and there were room heaters there, but I did not plug them in for fear that might launch another series of problems. Checkout in August was through the bak door and into the alley, as there is no hotel receptionist on night duty, and our departure was prior to opening time. This past trip, I left at 10:00 a.m., and there was someone at the restaurant to hail a cab for me.
In all, I stayed there a second time because the price was right and I was already familiar with the immediate neighborhood. I might stay there again, but only as a last resort.
- darren (2/5): Cheap hotel no thrills - Parking is a nightmare and staff not very friendly rooms are a bit tatty
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not good, not good at all. - Hotel was dirty, bed was rock hard, curtains were too short for Windows and half hanging down, mold in the shower, furnishings were old and falling apart and no fans or a/c. Room was so hot that we couldn't sleep, we literally sat there pouring sweat. We had the windows open trying to get air and a smell of old fish and laundry soap combo kept wafting into The window. The rooms are situated over a pub and walking through was uncomfortable as people just stare at you while trying to check in. We left super early and can honestly say it was the worst sleep ever.
- john (4/5): bed had stains - bed stains on mattress, bathroom wasn't that clean, could see old soap stains, out door area stank of ciggerettes which then came through the window, said wifi but could not connect to it as the room was out of reach.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible Hotel - It was awful no coffee or breakfast supplied. Food was way over priced. No lift access and rooms were far to hot and stuffy. The bed was dirty and uncomfortable. Will not be back staying here.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bad quality customer service - The hotel itself wasn’t that bad but bedsheet neededed to be changed also not good customer service at all,I was waiting to checking in and no one approached me even though manager/owner was just there staring,DO NOT USE TOWEL THERE OR ANYTHING EXCEPT THE CHEAP BED.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Dont stay here. I know the price looks good and its close to the airport but it is not worth even $20 a night. The room is dirty, the beds hard, the pillows small and lumpy, no fan or screens on the window. It’s above a pub which means it will be noisy. It’s not in a Good neighborhood. Each night we stayed there was some kind of fight, i thought i would need to call the police. The shower was broken and would leak into the pub below causing the owner to first blame us for getting water outside the shower only to realize the tiles inside were leaking. Not our fault! Also no where to hang the shower head. We checked out a night early and found a better hotel that had much MUCH better service/quality for only £10 more a night. DO NOT STAY HERE AT ALL COSTS
- Walter (2/5): Filthy house - The place has no entrance infront to start with. I drove to the back side of it and there was mud all over the ground at the back. It was dark and our shoes were covered with water and mud. When we got inside there was no one to attend to us and the shared house not a hotel was smelly and dirty. I tried calling the hotel number and no one picked. The owners should never put that as a hotel because its just a shared house. Not fit for clean and tidy people. I can never sleep in that filthy place and wouldnt wish anyone to go through what i went through
- george (2/5): - Common areas a bit dirty. Bed and sheets clean. Room furniture belong to a junkyard. Towel looks clean but old.
Kitchen downstairs clean. Had to wade through stagnant pool of water to leave hotel for Bus station to Heathrow airport. Used Bus 105 and didn’t have to pay anything to Heathrow which was great.
The hotel should be classed an Inn or Airbnb and not a hotel.
The location is good for a layover with very useful eateries and shops within the block.
- Mensha (4/5): Below average - A few maintenance issues with room bulbs missing in ceiling of
Bathroom, tiles missing, some dirty pieces of wood left near toilet for duration of stay. No key given for back door entry after hours. Stain on he base of the bed. Poor locks to rooms key type would be easy to gain access. Cameras in easy reach to be tampered with if that was your intention. Poor room layout for example tv on side wall not easy to watch from bed. Old and dated certainly in dire need of refurbishment
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The service was good and the people in the area was nice and helpful . The room was clean and comfortable. :)
- john (2/5): - I can’t describe my experience. That was the waste place on the earth. It is not safe to stay there and not clean every
- Verified traveler (2/5): Appaling hotel standards - Too much noise from the bar, people smoking and smoke spreading to guest rooms, carpet needs changing, duvet covers needs serious improvent not using sheets as covers. Felt very unsafe for myself and my car which I left parked at the back of the hotel with so many people roaming about the place. Inspectors should check this place and decide if it deserves to be advertised on expedia and other reputable websites. Standards are very poor, it is an eye sore for people visiting the UK or travelling from Heathrow airport.
- arq (8/5): Comfortable stay - Nice location free parking space basic facilities but good for this price
- Meguel (2/5): horrendous experience - The condition of the room upon arrival was disappointing as the room did not appear as it did from the photos. It was totally untidy as if it's never been clean and the smell was also unpleasant. There were only one bath towel provided which I found had a huge hole on one end. There were no floor mate to place on the cold floor. The electrics came off while I was watching TV and it appears they was a gas leak of some sort in the room. This started to make me feel sick so after about an hour of checking in to what was suppose to be a four night stay, I had to check out within an hour. The overall room what not fit for purpose especially when it came to health and hygiene. When I was checking out, I asked for a full refund, the manager said I can have a refund but they will charge for one night which was fair enough. Overall I would never recommend this horror of a place to anyone. They got a lot of improvement to make and should not be on this site.
- VJ (8/5): Good for short stays near airport / low cost - Good for short stays near airport / low cost
Last minute stay between 12 hr flights. Served the purpose well
- Sam (10/5): - Considering the cost I found it to be excellent and the food downstairs was amongst the best I’ve tasted. I can understand bad ratings if people had paid twice or three times the cost, but it was great as far as I’m concerned!
- ian (10/5): Brill - Very friendly
- ian (10/5): Brill - Friendly staff
- Verified traveler (4/5): ok for the price - Ok for the price I guess. bedding clean but carpets are old and dirty. Bathroom od but clean, the same furniture, Would I stay there again? Not sure, you can get better place for this price, like travellodge or ibis budget.
- Meetmgc (2/5): Not fit to stay for logical human being - Expedia ! How did you dare to keep such a pathetic hotel in your records ?? It is not fit in india itself ....... not sure how come UK Govt could authorize such a funny and nasty hotel to be present in this country. This hotel is par below the average.
I had a trust in your site name , with the experience i had with this hotel ,i doubt if going to use your site again.
To start with since from date of booking this hotel and till now ie: 13 days i have been staying in this hotel. Right from the first day TV is not working ...... hotel staff is unware of whether tv has to work or not and staff is not even bothered to hear customer grievances. Reported to owner of the hotel 100 times but even after reporting so many times he is turned to be Deef and dum after bringing in to his attention. Concerns are just begun (wait and watch)over hear yet, Out of these many days staffs are so pathetic , they didnt have tendency to come back to room at least to verify for the said concern. Furthermore , internet takes 5-10 min to open any websites, within this 5-10 minutes it gets disconnected quiet often for no reason & wireless coverage is so poor.
- Frank (2/5): De place was rubbish - If member of Hotels.com ever book in at B.B. or wat do I call de place I will stop using Hotels.com.very rubbish place.pls n pls Hotels.com should always inspect every hotel or where ever they want to book their clients.if not they loose many customers.
- Usman (2/5): - The room was dirty first time going there and last time.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Lack of Constant Electricity - Electricity was set at a max voltage so you can’t have multiple electronics plugged in. Wall heaters didn’t work, and the switches for the brakes had to be constantly turned on again for the space heater to work. Very unethical as it was one of the coldest nights of the year!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Hounslow West - Needs more attention to Rooms. First room offered had no electricity Alternative room had No heating and no clothes hangers in room. Chair was dangerously broken
- Alex (4/5): Basic - I was stranded at Heathrow, and by the time I could get online, this was the only available hotel within a reasonable distance.
It is basic, but the bathroom was clean, the shower was surprisingly vigorous (great) and the bed was comfortable with clean sheets.
You get what you pay for - and for the sum of 35 pounds, it was fine as I arrived at 10pm on a Sunday having been stranded at the airport.
This hotel is best suited to men who would not feel insecure, and a traveling for work.
- Hans (10/5): Business Trip :) - Business trip cheap, comfy, and good food and a beer, what more could a person want
- Hans (10/5): 1 Hour outside London, and a galaxy cheaper - Business Trip, and out of my own pocket, near bus and tube, easy commute into London via Heathrow Link
- hansstolte (10/5): Hilton is across the road, this is £200 cheaper - Great
- Hans (10/5): VII best value for money - Business trip I pay out my own pocket, so cheap, comfortable and warm.. All I need for a good sleep.
- Jason (8/5): - I only use the Hotel for a bed for the night so wasn't expecting a lot from it. Its fine for a one night stay sadly due to the location you are in the flight path of Heathrow and the busy street and I didn't realise till I check out my room had no toilet paper a minor thing. I can really say there was anything bad about hotel.
- Gerard (10/5): Two nights stay - My stay was very nice. It was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. The manager and his staff were friendly and helpful. And done everything to make my stay good. Thanks for that, I will definitely be back. The food was amazing. All fresh
- inspector (2/5): Need a lot of work - This hotel need renovating. It is not to be rated as any star. The staff need training on how to handle customers. The room have Very old funiture and not clean at all (pig sty)
- jennifer (10/5): Loved it! - This was such a great experience!.. Nice folks.. there was a big party going on when i was there so they put me up on the top floor.. it was a nice clean room.. good shower lots of room flat screen tv ... cheapest hotel near Heathrow!!Fantastic Indian food!!
- Sami (2/5): worst hotel ever - never ever again, dirty room dirty bath room, untidy bed with paint on floor carpet worst nightmate ever plz do not stay here,,, rather stay in travellodge
- Verified traveler (6/5): - food in restaurant is very tasty. staff is friendly
- Cosmin (10/5): - I was happy to stay in there
- sangeet (2/5): Very bad experience - Not clean and very noisy
- Russell (8/5): Reasonable and clean - Close to airport and bus stop nearby.
Clean room with restaurant in hotel.
Very reasonable rates. Good for layover from airport
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overral review of stay - Overall it was o.k.. Only two things concerning. 1- No breakfast facility but that didn't bother me. Staff were o.k.. However on two occasions consecutively when I left for my business and returned late in the evening to my hotel room I found the door was unlocked. The room service person either forgot or could not be bothered. That is a breach of security. Fortunately I didn't have anything valuable but found this was quite upsetting. I did bring this matter to the attention when checking out but the lady apologised.
- Paul (6/5): - The room was ok, not for families etc, contractors only I would say and that's pushing it,
- Verified traveler (4/5): The hotel was near airport - The staff where very nice, but This hotel especially our room could do with a very good clean.
- LJ (2/5): This hotel is a joke, don't bother - The worse hotel ever, very dirty, wifi and TV didn't work. Never a 2 star hotel, worse than 1 star motel in South Central Los Angeles. I will advice Hotel.com to immediately drop this so called hotel from their search.
- robert (10/5): Good and Convenient - You want authentic Indian cuisine? Stay here; but, leave your pretensions behind because is also working class. Had a cab booked for an ungodly hour: great service at a good price.
- Arkadio (6/5): You get what you pay for. Room on a budget. - I knew what I was signing up for so no surprise there. Cant say it was bad experience. Old place, worn out carpets and furniture but cheap so there you go. If you want prime quality you have to pay for.
- Reena (2/5): - Hotel staff are very rood. That's why we cancel to stay there. Specially families are not safe because many alcoholics around there.
- Andrew (6/5): - First place the hotel charged me again so I was charged two times and then one of the guy from customer service helped me get my refund back , the hotel shd get the information about the guests if they have paid or no in advance ,
Secondly they did not give me the second door keys to enter the hotel frm the parking side at night since they close the main entrance I was stuck inside the hotel and cud not go out coz I did not have the keys to open the door if I left my home I had some frm swindon to London to meet my friends and this happnd that I cud not leave the place, they forgot to give me the second keys n if by mistake I had to leave the room then I would be sleeping on the streets I guess coz I would not be able to enter my paid room!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Toilet flash was broken no central hitting abalavle.very old mattress.
- Henderson (6/5): Nice hotel close to the airport - It wasn't that bad after all. Nice service. Comfortable room. Great beer. Good places to eat nearby. Ifor you're going from the airport please do not get into strange taxis. They charge you a lot more.
- Gurinder (8/5): Nice room - Was gud
- Rob (6/5): Cheerful & Cheap - This is a quite good hotel if you are looking for a cheap place to stay when working in the area or want to be close to Heathrow airport. It's rooms are fairly basic, but relatively clean & the shower was nice and hot. The food served downstairs in the restaurant is very nice.
- shirani (6/5): Close to the airport - Good service, not very clean place, washroom bad smell.
- Mike (2/5): Awful Awful Awful - If you want to know what living in an East End slum is like use this place - if not give it a very wide birth.
- Poiyamozhi (2/5): please avoid this hotel - i never ever had a such bad experience in my life, very worst experience and no security , no customer service , no room service. the heater was not working in room , it was very chill out and not able to sleep...i was looking for the hotel person to look in to it and arrange some alternate around 11pm but when i was trying to reach the hotel representative , no one was available, all the doors were locked in clouding the reception are and i knocked as much as possible not it was vain , i felt i was alone in the entire hotel and no one was available to help....IT WAS A NIGHTMARE...
- Verified traveler (4/5): Freezing cold - Thick layer of dust on skirting boasts. Key for for that didn't work! No heating in the room. Shower leaking. Shower tray flooded
- Nigel (6/5): Reasonable Hotel let down by poor maintanance - Great Friendly Helpful Staff excellent Budget price. Let down by poor maintenance of the room. Toilet flush lid left open as not working, Shower constantly dripping and the window broken so wouldn't close meaning no double glazing very close to Heathrow runway!
- Nilo (4/5): Not worth the cost or price stated. 10 pounds ok - Wi-fi was soo poor, chair in the room has a broken leg in which I fell off after I first used it, window can not be closed and locked
- Verified traveler (4/5): Run down and in bad area - This "hotel" should not be promoted as such.It is simply poor accommodation above a restaurant.
I would suggest that your inspectors pay another visit and consider removing it from your accommodation list.
- Roney (8/5): Nice hotel... - Enjoyed my stay..but it was a bit noisy when the windows open...
- Steve (10/5): Nice and clean botel. Cheap and close to Heathrow - Staff very friendly and helpful. The Room was very clean and tidy. Off road car parking in London was a great bonus.
Excellent value for money.
Id reccomend this hotel to anyone.
I would visit there again too.
- Neil (4/5): You get what you pay for - Whilst the staff were very accommodating, to stay here means you have to listen to outdoor drinking and not so nice language until after midnight. Great as a bar/restaurant, but rooms very tired and not ideally situated
- Jason (10/5): Lovely food what a bonus - Lovely friendly people very committed to making thing pleasant
- vickie (2/5): Restaurant close to the airport. - I have never been shocked than the day I opened my hotel room. Flies everywhere no air-conditioning no fun in the most honest day. Mould all over worst of all old blanket that was torn and toilet unstable. I do not recommend it to anyone. Not even my enemies
- Ms. Nanis (2/5): Never again - This is one of the worst experience I have had. The owner is very rude. I came with my wife who is pregnant in her last month and I told him, let her in till we finish the booking he said pay first!!! We came from the airport with 3 bags. I asked for help. He told me to do it myself. The room is big and nice but people are shouting all night! No internet connection in the room.
- Dave (4/5): Yuk - £45....worth a paying bit more to avoid....bed clothes dirty, towels worn out, dust in room
- Marcelino (2/5): Very very very very very bad and darty hotel - The most disgastibg hotel ever ever i see in my live honesty it's should be closed ok?
