Everything was so beautiful, the food was super delicious =) The rooms were super clean I am definitely coming back The indoor breakfast area (at the back of the pub) could've been more clean and tidy. Me and my husband we both work in the hospitality industry and we have a high cleaning standard. Specially when it comes to food. But besides that everything else was nice

- Angelo (10/5): Lovely Surrey - Everything went well. We slept comfortably and the family room was a good size. There was no shower but a nice bathtub. I liked the fact that the hotel is a mid 1700 building and has all the charm of an old English home. The location is beautiful. The Surrey hills are amazing and not far from the hotel is another small village called Shere which was the set for the movie "The Vacation" with Cameron Diaz and Jude Law. The river Tillingbourne passes right close to the room and I sat on a bench for a little while enjoying all the nature around me. The area is great for walking excursions and bicycle rides. It is also close to Guildford. There was nothing that I didn't like. Whatever minor problem we encountered...and I mean minor was immediately handled by the staff who were and are very responsive and caring. I don't like to complain about simple things that require simple solutions. In too many instances clients do not inform the staff that something might not be working properly. I did and they were pleased to accomodate our needs. They are both efficient and effective.

- Emma (9/5): Great place to stay for the night in the countryside - Located in a very quiet countryside town near the silent pool and albury vineyards. Lovely pub with rooms which were clean and had everything we needed. Good selection of tea, coffee and even hot chocolate. Biscuits are always a nice touch. Check in process was slow, whilst we appreciate it was busy during lunch one woman acknowledged us briefly and just walked off to serve someone else leaving us standing there. It did take a while for someone to check us in and he was lovely and accommodating.

- LOUISE (10/5): Lovely peaceful, calm - The setting, facilities, and food where superb, and the hospitality of staff was exceptional. Beautiful, relaxing rooms, tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. Nothing!! Just would have appreciated a full length mirror in room 5 as we were attending a wedding and a long mirror would have been really useful. Otherwise, everything was lovely.

- Marilyn (9/5): A gem of a country pub - The staff were exceptional. Everyone was friendly and welcoming as well as professional and efficient. They seemed to work well as a team too. Our room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Everything was well maintained and the bedding and towels were of good quality. Robes and a good selection of hot drinks were provided, plus bottled water. The food was delicious, with a varied and interesting menu. Portions were just right, being satisfying but avoiding waste. The draught beers were good too, A wide choice for breakfast was served until 11 a.m. Our room at the front of the pub suffered a bit with noise from the road, which was quite busy in the morning. Obviously not the pub's fault, more a feature of the SE of England.

- Clare (9/5): A lovely stop in a beautiful area with tasteful, well equipped accommodation and delicious meals - We had chosen to stay at the Drummond as it’s convenient to the Silent Pool gin distillery; even without that requirement it is in an area of the Surrey Hills worth visiting. Our room was lovely, with a comfy bed, although not surprisingly due to being a traditional old roadside pub, there was significant traffic noise during the early morning. It didn’t seem to affect our sleep during the night though. There was plenty of choice for our evening meal, with a good variety which should suit most people’s requirements. Veggie Sri Lankan curry and Ham Hock were our choices and would happily return to eat those again! Breakfast was excellent, again with plenty of choice to suit meat eaters, veggie or vegans. We hadn’t arrived in time to be able to make the most of a rare, warm, sunny day and sit outside but plenty of people were. Walks are available from the doorstep and it’s worth following the footpath in the village up to Newlands Corner to enjoy the view. Check in was particularly slow; having been acknowledged by one member of staff, we didn’t take up the offer to be checked in by another. It then seemed to transpire that they were searching for keys for another set of guests. Having check-in for overnight guests tucked around the corner from the main bar area, which only consisted of a laptop on a small desk meant that it was easy for guests to be overlooked. The bedroom was affected by traffic noise, but having read other reviews, we had expected that and for one night it wasn’t a major problem. If you need absolute silence bring ear plugs or request a room facing away from the road.

- Steven (8/5): A comfortable and convenient stay on our way back from Suffolk to our home in the New Forest - The room was comfortable if a little warm so would have been better if it had a thermostat, but as our visit coincided with an improvement in the weather it was a good problem to have! The food was of good quality and the choice was sufficient particularly for my wife who has Reflux so has to be careful. The wine list was much better than a lot of similar establishments and reasonably priced. Staff were welcoming and efficient. Nothing to add

We chose to stay here as we were visiting friends in the area. Our room was lovely and spacious and very nicely decorated. Beds so comfortable and lovely linen and towels. Shower pressure was great. We ate in the pub twice and the food was very good. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We tasted the local gin which was good, and had a great chat with some local people as well. Plenty of car parking. Highly recommended a stay here. Everything was just lovely

Not much - could perhaps do with a secure wifi network for guests staying. I did not want to use the unsecured pub network. For the price, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to give staying guests access to a secure network to stay connected when working away on business, and perhaps a little mini fridge and milk.

- Sheelagh (1/5): Dissapointing, not worth the money spent and will never pay to stay there again. - Location Smell of damp accommodation area as soon as you walk in, tired and dirty accommodation, broken sink plug and window furniture left on sides, no working plug socket nr bed or mirror. Great chunk of plaster off wall, and again where something has been taken down hole left, damp painted over, pull string light no knob and string dirty, grout around sink dirty, bath mat dirty, carpet in room highly stained and dirty!! Room 9a avoid. No internal way to secure door from the inside (unsafe females alone). Also take care step bottom of stairs into corridor. Careful metal ramp if wet outside when leaving accommodation as no night light. Also shop by back door leaves a bin trolley right by entrance to rooms unsightly and when i stayed containing food source ie bottle of milk/other which may attract vermin. All true!

The bar area is also lovely We stayed there as I had a hospital appointment in Guildford and it was easy to get to from the hotel. Unfortunately, I was unable to eat due to a hospital proceedure but my husband did and said it was very good. - Lars (6/5): Een slechte nacht na een heerlijk en gezellig diner - De B&B heeft een gezellig bar en restaurant waar het personeel je heel hartelijk ontvangt en waar je heerlijk kan eten. Wij verbleven in de familiekamer met een aparte slaapkamer voor onze dochters en heerlijke bedden. Ook onze viervoeter was van harte welkom. Helaas was de kamer niet heel fris, plukken stof boven op de kast en aan de zak van de föhn en mieren op het bed. Na het zien van de kleurrijke en lichte foto’s op de website viel dat toch wat tegen. Ook was de kamer heel erg gehorig wat een nadeel is als er ook een heel gezellige bar aanwezig is bij de B&B. Om 02:00 ‘s nachts werden we wakker van onze bovenburen die (op normale toon) nog even de avond doornamen en om 06:30 al weer wakker waren.

Staff at the first breakfast were not great , forgot my order and only brought half of my request. Nothing was written down at rider stage. Found a piece if nail and crumbs when seated at the table. We asked for a quiet room not looking into the road.On arrival this is what we were given. After asking to be moved we were given a room right above the kitchen ventilator that came to life at 7am. The staff member assisting was quite rude and didn’t want to change the room. Agreed reluctantly. Staff on the second morning were much nicer and nothing was too much trouble.

- Chris (10/5): Very lovely post Xmas day stay with a lovely room (2nd stay in that room) and an excellent meal - The breakfast at Drummond was EXCEPTIONAL. All locally sourced and very tasty. Such good produce and without question the best breakfast my wife and I have had in any country house hotel or boutique inn that we have stayed in. Ladies toilets in the pub itself could do with a little TLC.

- Ann (10/5): Rural village pub with beautiful rooms. - Stayed in room 6 overlooking the garden a peaceful spot with an interesting outlook. Chic decor, spacious comfortable room with plentiful supply of teas and nice toiletries. The cheerful staff could not be faulted such a lovely welcome. Breakfast was excellent. The beer selection and cocktails are brilliant. Best of all such a friendly rural village with plenty of walks, a beautiful church and local shop.

C'est mon point de chute pour chaque déplacement professionnel à Guidlford ! Préférez les chambres donnant sur le jardin (du côté du ruisseau), pour le calme.
- Melinda (8/5): Lovely pub, quaint cottage rooms. Just ask for heating to be put on in Winter - Lovely pub, pretty stream. In warmer weather it would be very pretty. Unfortunately we had the worst weather possible, so spent a lot of time inside. Nice sized cottage room, with great breakfast included The room and pub were very cold. We had to ask for the heating to be put on as it was freezing, same in the restaurant when we booked for dinner..I hoped it would be more cozy.
