- Amanda (10/5): Gorgeous room with great light for reading - Fabulous light for reading, and a reading nook with a table by the window. The whole house was charming, and the owner lovely

- Plaister (7/5): - The location was amazing, so close to the river and some local pubs. Easy access to all local amenities. The accommodation smelled of cigarettes and what made me chuckle was there were no smoking signs all around the house.
- Bethan (10/5): one-night stay, made even more special by a lovely lady who clearly has a real eye for beautiful dec - “We had a fabulous one-night stay at this lovely hotel. The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully presented, and Joy was warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout my visit. Everything from check-in to to check out was excellent, making my short stay feel relaxing and special. I would happily return and highly recommend it to others. Absolutely nothing

- John (10/5): Ross weekend. - Fantastic en suite shower. Great location, easy walk to town centre and good exploring base. Cinema/theatre 5 mins walk away. There's also a nearby parkrun within walking distance. Nothing.
- Neale (9/5): Good price, nice bed, nice room and hot shower. - Room 6, Location was great for my visit. The room was a double and not a single as i expected. The bed very comfy. Tea coffee and bottled water provided although i didn’t use them. Two towels provided and there was hand/body wash in the bathroom with more in a basket on top of the stairs. View was nice too.
Wifi details were explained as soon as i got there and worked fine.
The owner seemed quite pleasant and inquired if everything was ok. I thought it was a little cheeky to state “ on site parking” when in fact it was on street parking…. If you could find a space that is. My visit was in February so most visitors, walkers, dog walkers etc left around 5pm so i moved my vehicle closer to the accommodation later but its not a given. Other than that it was a nice stay. The shower door kept opening while i had my shower so water found its way onto the bathroom floor. The bathroom was small but perfectly usable.
The whole building on first entering had a musty odour but i guess to be expected with its age although on re-entering later in the evening i didnt notice it. The bedroom door was very stiff to open and close, i could see that being an issue for some elderly people.

- Kevin (10/5): Ideal stay for my social purposes - Nice situation and lovely friendly people All good
- Taylor (10/5): A wonderful place to stay - The hosts were lovely and offered any help needed. I was given fresh milk in a lovely jug, on entering in the evening. This was such a lovely gesture. So kind. The house was beautiful and spotlessly clean. My room was beautifully decorated, with tea/ coffee etc on a lovely tray. The view from my window overlooked the river, which was lovely.
There was also a spotless ensuite with a shower.
Available, on the landing, there was a basket with toiletries and a hairdryer. Such a lovely touch and very thoughtful for those who have forgotten these things.
I highly recommend staying at this beautiful place. It is a gem with the most lovely hosts.
- Kaye (9/5): - Location excellent very warm & comfortable and clean, good sleep as it was very quiet. Nothing not to like.
- Martin (9/5): Really good value for money. Friendly owner. - Great attention to detail. Great value for money. Friendly owner. Nothing.
- Peter (1/5): Hugely disappointing - The duvet cover and pillow cover actually smelled quite strongly of sweat from previous occupants! This is something I have never encountered before and I find totally unacceptable. I asked for and was given a different (upgraded) room which was fine. However an apology was not forthcoming and the 'host' was quite rude, offering a series of weak excuses (she doesn't normally take bookings on a Sunday, the price was discounted). But there is no excuse for selling a room with smelly bedding is there? Why not just apologise with good grace?
- Gladys (8/5): - The White House did not do breakfast. Which was disappointing They could do with new pillows
- Andrew (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed my 2 day stay and would recommend the Whitehouse to anyone - No complaints at all

- John (10/5): Very comfortable stay - Perfectly situated for visiting the town. Very comfortable room and friendly, attentive owners. No on-site parking but plenty of options nearby, both for long and short stay (closest in literally across the road).

- owen (8/5): -
- Alastair (10/5): -
- Sarah-Jane (7/5): Good location, beautiful decor, but facilities lacking. - Beautiful house, gorgeous decor and a good location . Our room was very spacious but our bathroom was so small it was genuinely difficult to use the loo and there was no way you were drying yourself after a shower in the bathroom! No breakfast facilities at all. The bathroom was tiny. And I mean REALLY tiny. Hard to even use the lookout was so small.
- Simon (10/5): - Very friendly owner and comfortable with great location next to the river.
- SERENA (10/5): grazie di tutto - tutto bene, bella location, persone molto disponibili. Un bel posto davanti al parco. consigliato

- John (8/5): Excellent location Friendly host Good value for money - Excellent location Superb value for for money Pub just access the road for meals Room was quite small but managed OK
- Hannah (9/5): A great stay in Ross - The Whitehouse was perfect for my visit to Ross for the Walking Festival. It's a comfortable and centrally located guesthouse with everything I needed for an overnight stay. Thank you to Joy for being such a great host and letting me park ahead of my official check in time! Nothing not to like about The Whitehouse!
- Steve (10/5): -
- Angela (8/5): Ok for 1 night stay - Gorgeous old house. Room at the top, very small en suite . Host was lovely. Nice river view. Because of how small the room & en suite I don’t think it was worth £99. Tea tray had 2 coffee sachets, 3in1, no good if you don’t take sugar, 4 milk pods so only good for 2 drinks, we had to buy more. Didn’t know the WiFi code, found it was displayed on a very small tag in the hallway, should be displayed in the room. The bed was very hard.
- Coombs (10/5): -
- Colin (10/5): - Excellent hosts. Very helpful and so easy to talk with.
- Ceri (9/5): - The hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful. Their recommendations for places to eat were spot on. Especially the Old Man of Ross.
- Kerry (10/5): -
- Cecile (10/5): -
- annie (8/5): -
- Helen (8/5): Nicely located guest house with tiniest en suite ever! Friendly host. Lovely view towards river. - Lovely location overlooking the river & fields in a quiet area of Ross. Up hill walk into town. Tea & coffee provided. Bed comfy. Shower room possibly the smallest I’ve ever seen. Not ideal - but shower ok. The room was on the very top floor so could be uncomfortably warm. Fan provided though. Would go for another room if revisit.
- frank (9/5): -
- Gorman (8/5): Friendly, fab location & house. - Location is central and overlooking the river. Pretty, well maintained. Just some info via text on their great environmental initiative of placing all complimentary shampoos, etc in a breakfast on the landing for you help yourself. Info on local breakfast places, WiFi code, etc would be helpful.
- Mandy (8/5): Lovely surroundings, clean , friendly , convenient , good price and easy to find. - The bedding was soft and silky and smelt gorgeous. The room and communal areas were tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The hosts were friendly and accommodating . The White House is right across the road from a huge pub garden, by the river . The food there was excellent. The room was very tiny , with not much room to to put things down.
- Ian (6/5): A good option for a one night stopover but bear in mind there’s no breakfast. - Perfect location very close to the centre of Ross-on-Wye. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Parking on the road was easy. The room, linen and towels were spotlessly clean. Comfy bed. The bathroom in Room 7 was like an understairs cupboard - it was so small and narrow that you couldn’t keep the door shut whilst using the sink and sitting on the loo you bash your knees on the sink unit.
Also no breakfast on offer so bear that in mind. This is a room only guesthouse.
- michael gurd (8/5): None None else - Great location Nothing
