- Suzan (10/5): Excellent accommodation in Keswick - The Silverdale is a great place to stay! The rates are reasonable, the location is perfect and the hot breakfast is very good.
- Jackie (10/5): No frills, central accommodation. - A two-night stay in Keswick to have a break with family. Original plans to go to the theatre were scuppered due to performance cancellation. The Silverdale was fit-for-purpose, no frills accommodation. Perfect location to be able to leave the car alone for the duration. Excellent full breakfast offered that could be tailored. Comfortable lounge area that we could meet in, separately from our rooms. Easy access with front door key. Off-road parking available but not used (it was easier to park on the road as the access was a bit tight.

- Richard (10/5): - Lovely stay of 4 nights over New Year. The Silverdale is very convenient for Keswick town centre and has its own small car park. The host was very friendly and amiable, the breakfast excellent in all respects.
My room on the top floor was comfortable, with a good sized TV and an easy chair. The electric shower didn't need any fiddling with - just the right temperature straight away, though the shower cubicle was a little tight.
Unusually for this type of guest house, there is a common lounge area with TV adjacent to the conservatory which serves as the breakfast room.
Very much recommended..

Just some extra care needed with cleanliness: the bedding had stains, also the bottom of the shower curtain was all mouldy.
- Paul (10/5): Super stay - Great experience, Mark was a first class host and Mandy's breakfasts were superb.
Bed was very comfortable and the area was quiet so a good nights sleep was guaranteed.

Single room is small with sink in the room, wc closed off with a door and a shower all inside the one room. Comfortable "double" bed and tea and coffee making facilities provided. Bit dated decor but good value for money and good location near to town.
- Susan (8/5): - Welcoming hosts, breakfast was excellent. We stayed for 2 nights in a twin room and I have to say it was a bit of a squash! The en suite was basically the toilet with just room to sit without touching the shower although if we were taller then maybe we would have! The sink was in the bedroom. Despite this the beds were comfy. We had a front door key and were able to come and go as we pleased.

- David (4/5): - No menu for breakfast,no cereals, had to be asked for, only orange juice,my table looked straight into owners private residence,i was moved next day,and the chair had the previous days breakfast crumbs on it,the outside looks like it needs a lot of paint and a general tidy up,£84 a night, more like £45 , highly unlikely too ever return
- Julie (10/5): The Silverdale - Best Brekkie - This is our third time staying at The Silverdale and won’t be our last! It’s a great place to stay in central Keswick with brilliant hosts. The breakfast made with local produce is second to none. We just love it.
