Brian (8/5): Excellent lodge with character - The Log Cabin Lodge and Suites stands out for its character and comfort. The pictures on this site are not at all misleading about the wood-laden charm of the rooms. The biggest problems during my stay was that the wifi was terrible, which made it hard to check out menus of possible restaurants and features of other places connected with our trip. Nitpicks: The pillows were bit flat, and in the toilets there was a black build-up below the rim of the bowl. You noticed the latter sitting in the bathtub.
Lester (4/5): Unaccommodating arrogance! - Requested a first floor room as we are seniors and cannot do stairs, upon checkin arrogant desk clerk told me first floor would require a hefty up charge. Refused to not charge us if we went elsewhere. We had to drag ourselves up and down stairs. No compassion in least, attitude of desk person was “take it or leave it” said they get negative reviews all the time and they don’t care. A pity because the place is very nice, just uncaring arrogant staff .

Joe (8/5): - I booked this hotel needing a place to sleep and then happened upon a hotel with a zoo! Good surprise. Very friendly staff, super rustic rooms with a fire place and jacuzzi, and that’s the basic rooms. Only issue is the plumbing noises given the construction style, it can wake you up if your neighbor has a shower at 2am. Would stay again though.

The king bed was extremely comfortable! We loved the hot tub in the room was great after a day of riding the motorcycle and then walking when we visited the area! We would DEFINITELY stay there again and refer others !

Ronald (8/5): - Lots of exotic and amazing animals on property.. wonderful staff.. only issues was I rented room for hot tub and fireplace...but fireplace didn't work and heater in bathroom didn't work..and the noise floorboards from upstairs kept us up most of night and up early next morning. For $200 I expected the things to work that should work when paying that much money for one night.. loved place,just disappointed no fireplace.. without some type of discount I'll probably not stay again!

The room was clean. The animal zoo on sight was an added bonus after a long car ride with a child. We would happily book here again.

We upgraded to a jacuzzi room, but the jets didn’t work so it was just a big bathtub. The zoo and log cabin theme was cool though. And the staff was very nice.

Many shops and places to eat nearby. The beds were comfortable too. Very enjoyable stay, other than stairs it was darn good for the money.

Jasvinder (6/5): Regular rooms great, rooms with tubs not worth it - I would not pay the extra for a hot tub/Jacuzzi. 1) You are not allowed to use Salts which means you don't get the healing benefits of a tub 2) The motor for the jets is so noisy that its like a jet engine against your head I would have happily paid for a regular room but would not recommend paying extra for the tubs

Would not book room on first floor, it was hard to sleep because the above room you can hear every time someone walked across the floor. 5:00 am family above kids running across floor and parents walking. Elizabeth (10/5): - This lodge is such a cute little getaway right next to the Living Treasures Zoo, and you even get an admission discount. Everything in the lodge is well taken care of, clean, relaxing, and fairly priced and the staff is super nice!

The first room we were assigned had the chandelier hanging off one chain, the second room the ac wouldn't work and we could only get a little bit of air like it was a fan, the next room was the same with the ac (didn't fully move into it just checked the ac), then the 4th room did have ac. The breaker tripped when we used the microwave at the same time as the tv was on-so no more tv. All of the staff was very nice, the rooms looked very nice, but the room functioning was not the greatest.

Roberto (10/5): Cozy Alpine-style Cottage - What a gem! As I searched for a place to stop on a long journey from Connecticut to Ohio, I discovered the Log Cabin Lodge & Suites, that offered Alpine Lodge style rooms on Hotels.com. I loved it so much that when I drove by again a few days later on the way home, I booked it again, this time the room with a Jacuzzi style bathtub inside the main room. All the walls and ceiling are covered in wood, the furniture is rustic and stylish at the same time, with all chairs, rocking chair, lamps made in wood, probably handmade, each one a little different. Fridge, microwave and electric fireplace are all nice complements for the stay. It's hard to find a cozier place, and affordable! Large free parking and WiFi add to the package, and the staff is extraordinarily friendly, especially Jody. Highly recommended!

Bryan (8/5): - I liked the hot tub in the room. The blackout curtains were very nice. The people upstairs kept walking back and forth across the floor and it was noisy in the morning someone was playing music at 8:30 and we were able to hear it ,so the rooms aren't soundproof. The hot tub was a little dirty I had to clean it before we used it. I turned it on and seen some little black curly hair floating more than a few. So I drained it and cleaned it. Then we filled it up and used it with no problem. The half price on the zoo was nice. We enjoyed it. I will most definitely return here.

Dr. J. Marsh (10/5): - Clean, quiet and convenient. Check in was easy. Parking was easy. Our room was 75 when we checked in and 77 after we walked through the animal park. Staff were helpful and moved us next door with no issue. The animal park was nicer than I expected. We ate at Hillbillies and the food and service were fantastic.
