- Balmer (8/5): Angenehmer Aufenthalt in ländlicher Umgebung. - Wir hatten ein grosses Zimmer gebucht auf der ruhigen Seite der Gebäudes, so dass wir die Fenster nachts problemlos offen halten konnten. Die Einrichtung ist modern und funktionell, Bad mit Dusche und separate WC, Zimmer mit bequemes Grandlit, Schreibtisch und Stuhl. Neben einer kleinen Garderobe leider keinerlei Ablage oder Schrank vorhanden, sodass man die Kleider im Koffer lassen muss. Kein Kühlschrank, keine Glasgläser (nur Pappe). Das Frühstücksbuffet ist liebevoll aufgebaut mit einer ordentlichen Auswahl an lokalen Produkten. Da wir kein Abendessen hatten, können wir die Küche nicht beurteilen.

Bref je déconseille fortement.

- Geri301 (8/5): Decent hotel who take Covid seriously - We have spent one night in the hotel during a motorcycle trip. The hotel is clean and tidy and the service was good and friendly. There is a secluded parking at the back for cars and motorcycles alike. They take the Covid measures seriously. No printed menus, only QR codes, everyone has their own cutlery and personnel wear masks and protection all the time and it is also a requirement for guests. Sanitisers are available all over the hotel. Rooms are clean and nice, with a great view over the mountain. My experience was very good overall, but the 5* rating is spoiled by two things. The insulation between the rooms is very thin so had to cope with loud guests over my room and there were no blinds on the windows, so woke up pretty early as the sun's first rays cam into the room.

- M9714JYannec (2/5): Very disappointing experience - A 3 * hotel with mainly good reviews and I am sorry I can’t join the happy travellers. The overall level was a 2* at best, the staff, except at the reception, was unpleasant , the room very poorly furnished and noisy. As for the restaurant the meal I chose was inedible and the boss did nothing, on the contrary, to remedy to the fact that my plate was left intact. My daughter was luckier for her main dish but her dessert was overly sweet. The restaurant staff attitude was borderline rude. I am very sorry I chose this hotel and shall never return.

- Steve and Ani (2/5): Hotel was closed, had to book a different one - Hotel was closed and apparently no guests staying, despite our room booking apparently being the last available room. Phone number went through to an answer machine each time we called (several times) and answer machine message was only in French and we were unable to understand it. Helpful local man left a message for the managers advising them that we had arrived but no response. We had to book a different hotel for the night. Note that we arrived a full 2 hours before check in time was stated to finish. Received refund following a call to Expedia customer support, but felt I needed to submit this review because 1 week later we have had no contact, acknowledgement or apology from the hotel. Not good.

Was a great choice this was, delightful staff, great room, comfortable bed for a great nights sleep. Wifi reception was poor in the room, but not too bad in the dining room. As too the food offering, wonderful, you actually don't have much in the way of choice for dining experience locally, but that is not a problem. Dinner was magnificent and the breakfast buffet terrific, you will not lose any weight staying here

- b0yangp (8/5): Generally good. - The gentleman working in reception is kind and the room is clean. However, the wi-fi does not work properly. The way to the hotel from Evian is about 20-30 min. Parking place is nice. The furnitures are of vintage and classical style. Overall, it's a pleasant stay.
- lance (8/5): Lovely hotel, good owner and great local shops. - The stay was great but when we arrived on time for our check in, the hotel was kicked and a sign in the door stating ' be back soon '. We had to phone at our cost and wait approximately half an hour before we could get in. After a 560 km journey, this was very frustrating. Also hotel not in correct location in GPS - was sent 3 miles away. Owner was very accomadating and attentive - the service was excellent.

Mes encouragements à l'équipe pour continuer à développer l'hôtel.

I had a great dinner, plenty choice and some different dishes I hadn't seen before. I wish I'd arrived earlier in the day to explore the village, seemed like a very pleasant place.

- Jane (10/5): Exceptional restaurant - This was the first day of our GR5 walk from Thonon Les Bains and our first night in France for 20 years. We were completely wowed by the food and service at the restaurant. We also had a pleasant stay in a quiet room - not huge but fine for our needs. The owner was friendly and the shady deck area the best place for a beer in the late afternoon. Also - we forgot to tell the owner but he has an (unlabelled) photo of a classic New Zealand view on one of the landings. It is of the jetty at Lake Rotoiti in Nelson Lakes National Park.

- Traveler (4/5): Hard and small bed, on noisy street, friendly FD - The front desk/reception was friendly and one person even spoke English, but my bed was hard like rock and too small (small bed is often in France, I know, but...). The room itself was also too small, walls and carpet stained, no mold in the clean bathroom. During breakfast time, the room next door (no doors) was vacuum-cleaned. Horrible noise and experience. Only continental BF with good choice of tasty cheese but for 11 EUR extra.

We had breakfast which was lovely, a great offer of various foods, and beautiful large wooden rooms with loads of character. It was pretty as a picture. The rooms were very clean and nicely furnished with a beautiful view from the balcony. Only fault, we had to wait 45 minutes for our evening meal when there were only 6 of us in the restaurant. Would definitely book again to stay in this hotel.

- Yuval_haLiqudnik (10/5): I have become a returning client.... - I have come back to Echo des Montagnes for the fourth time, and definitively it has become my hotel of reference during my trips to Geneva. I confirm my previous very good judgement. To add something new: this time I had dinner outside, under the canopy of a wonderful and very large tree which gives an additional touch of countryside atmosphere. The cheeses available at EdM are superb, and I tasted a large varieties of them along with an exquisite salad (I think coming from not so far away). Again, the couple who run the hotel is extremely friendly and collaborative. A professional guest who need to telework or check his emails will appreciate the wonderful and very efficient WiFi connection. Geneva can be reached in about 30 min. from Armoy. The prices are very convenient and are a bargain with respect to downtown Geneva, so I suggest to all the people having business there to think of this beautiful accommodation.

- V815FVsteveb (10/5): Great Hotel - A group of 11 of us stayed here for two nights on our trip around Europe. We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff, the rooms were comfortable with some great views over the mountains. The breakfast was good and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Good parking facilities. Situated in a quiet little village quite close to Lake Geneva, Geneva was about 20 minutes drive away. Very comfortable stay, thank you very much to all the staff, we just wish we could have stayed more than 2 nights.
- 47Richard65 (8/5): Very good Hotel - I just stayed here for one night on my way to the Alpes. I had a late arrival but since the booking was confirmed it was no problem.The room is small but fine and, most important, it is clean. The bed is very comfortable. Buffet breakfast is ok but not much variety, you get warm croissants, toast and yoghurt. The staff is very kind and helpfull. Prices are a bit high to my opinion. Overall the hotel is very good.

- NancyC665 (8/5): Great country hotel - What wonderful find in this area. 45 minutes from the Geneva airport without being in a city. Staff was very friendly, food was excellent. Free wifi and plenty of parking. Wonderful way to begin or end a trip.
- Yuval_haLiqudnik (10/5): Difficult to reach but it worths the effort - The hotel is extremely well priced and the accommodation is cosy and very satisfactory. The manager of the hotel helped me very kindly by phone to arrive to Armoy, as one has to find his way to this small village and must not miss the right exit of the highway encircling Thonon-les- bains.I definitively recommend "L'echo des montagnes" and I will return in my future trips to Geneve.
- BillyH762 (10/5): A delightful hotel with excellent service and friendly staff. - This was the first time we had stayed in Armoy and the hotel was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and the food and service in the restaurant was first class. Very sensibly priced, this is an ideal skiing stop over especially if the final destination is the Portes du Soleil. Free Wifi was useful and ample parking. We will be back !!
- Agim27 (10/5): more then expected - I've had stay in this hotel from 6th - 11th of March 2014. This is best 2star hotel I have stayed. Rooms are nice size, hot water and heating all the time. free WiFi in the rooms. Excellent restaurant, perfect breakfast and very good food. Staff is very friendly and English speaking. overall it gives you more then you expect from 2 star hotel.
