- Avrum (10/5): - The suite we stayed in was fantastic. It had two bedrooms and a kitchen and sitting area. It also had two roomy sections of outdoor patio. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a nice little bar at the swimming pool.the only thing it could do better was the pool could use some repairs and a good cleaning.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay! - We had a lovely week at Elounda Garden Suites. The hotel was very clean both in our suite and in the common areas. We had a car and there was always a parking space available and always some sun beds available around the pool when we wanted them. The service was excellent - all staff were very attentive and made our stay very comfortable. The food at breakfast was great with a cold buffet and hot food cooked to order. The music and bar service around the pool made for very relaxed pool days - the cocktails of the day were particularly good! Elounda is a lovely bustling town with lots of restaurants, shops and a great beach just a short walk from the hotel. Just a 10 minute walk up the hill in the other direction are BeeRaki (a craft beer Cretan pub) and The Hope restaurant which are a must - the drinks and food were excellent with welcoming service, definitely my favourite places of our trip.

As we were getting married in Elounda I emailed the hotel before our arrival to make sure it was ok for us to invite guests over who were not staying at the hotel and they were more than happy for us to do so. On our arrival we found we had been upgraded to a wonderfully spacious family suite and the fridge had a complimentary bottle of wine and water. On the day of the wedding, while we were out at lunch, Anna and her helpers, decorated the suite with hearts and rose petals and left a beautiful bouquet of flowers and bottle of champagne which all helped to make our wedding day in Crete the beautiful day that it was. As for the hotel itself, it is spotlessly clean with a nice relaxing pool area and is only a couple of minutes walk from the main town square, restaurants and beach. SOme of our friends also stayed at the hotel and they were as impressed as we were with the rooms, pool area and particularly the friendliness of the staff. A huge thank you to Anna, Mario and all the other staff at the EGS, we would definitely love to stay here again and certainly recommend it it anyone else staying in Elounda.
- BBB (8/5): - Warm and welcoming staff who were very familiar with Elounda town and its restaurants. Pool nice to cool off on the hot days—it would be nice if their bar staff went around and asked sunbathers every once in awhile for drink orders. Good mix of private and public spaces on the property. Rooms were very clean. We weren’t thrilled with the town of Elounda but chose it more as a jumping off place for day trips in the region.

- PATRICIA (10/5): UNFORGETTABLE STAY - Very nice little property in the heart of Elounda. From our arrival until departure, everyone was welcoming and efficient, especially Maria and Anna. Breakfast is simple but high quality local products. The lady who serve breakfast is flexible and does amazing eggs! We were upgraded to a suite facing the pool for our anniversary. A bottle of wine and fruits were waiting for us in the room and a welcome drink at the reception! The suite was simple and functional with a little kitchenette. I would have put a little flat note for the cleanliness that could be improved, especially for dusting furniture on daily basis because i am a bit allergic to dust, but he ho, it was ok. Amenities are at your disposal as well. Pool area are well maintained with a lovely little bar. We would have appreciated a heated pool in April/May/ coz the water was more than chilly. The Greek hospitality went beyond our expectation. We felt very spoilt. This property is a real hidden gem and 5min walk from the village! Thank you to the team for being so attentive to our needs and be so friendly.

- pandr (10/5): Perfect hotel for us - The perfect balance between hotel and apartment. All the services of a hotel but with a small kitchen area which is just right for breakfast or a light lunch. The staff are all exceptional, very warm and friendly but totally professional. Great location with all the amenities of Elounda close by but really quiet. No sea view but lovely views of the surrounding mountains and olive groves. Our room was spacious with two balconies: one with loungers, the other a table and chairs. There was even a small airier, with pegs provided, for drying swimwear, etc. The pool area was clean with plenty of comfortable loungers.

I would recommend this hotel above lots of five star places I have stayed. It really is fabulous. Only negative I can say is the beds aren't as comfortable as they could be but that is a minor thing I would not let that put you off!
- A J Richards (10/5): Spotless, new apartments with lovely staff - Me, my wife and our youngest son stayed here for a few days as she'd always wanted to go to Spinalonga. From the moment we walked through the garden (lemon, orange, grapefruit and olive trees) we loved it. It is new, spotless and perfect for chilling out. We stayed over Easter and the staff and owners put on a special barbecue for the guests to make up for the fact that much of the village was closed. The welcome was as warm as the beautiful weather... The food was beautifully prepared and presented every day and the staff were always willing to give advice or guidance on how to make the most of each day. Absolutely lovely - recommended

Our room was clean and the bed very comfortable and the big bottles of. Shampoo and body wash was gorgeous and the wine in the fridge lovely. Breakfast was amazing. - M (10/5): Service beyond words...AMAZING eperience - It's hard to find words to describe the luxury service you get at Elounda Garden Suites. Our experience was beyond phenomenal, and we are already planning our trip back. Elounda Garden Suites is a small hotel in Elounda with an amazing garden full of flowers and trees and incredible service. It is small and family run, and everything about it is perfect. From the moment we checked in, we were greeted with open arms, big smiles, and a lesson in Greek. Mario and his team are top notch -- it doesn't get better then this in the hospitality industry. The hotel rooms are cozy and perfect. Spacious and charming .They all have two balconies or terraces, Over the pool there is a nice restaurant where we ate brecfast every morning, snacks during the day and sunset drinks are served. There are so many surprises that happen at Elounda Garden Suites to make your stay special. I don't want to give them away.. but they truly made us feel like celebrities during our stay. Mario recommended the BEST restaurants to us every night, and had the best seat in the house waiting for us upon arrival. We want to thank everyone at Elounda Garden Suites for making this the HIGHLIGHT of our stay on Crete Island. We stayed at 2 other hotels in Crete, but Elounda Garden Suites was our favorite - and the one we will come back to. - George (10/5): Feel like your in paradise - If you want to feel like your in paradise then Elounda Gardens is the place to be. It is so peaceful and relaxing with a superb backdrop of the mountains yet only 3 minutes walk to the beautiful town and bay of Elounda. Our room was very spacious and clean with everything you need for your stay with cooking facility's (not that you'll need them) the breakfast you can have in the morning is just exceptional cooked by the wonder Catarina!! Manager Mario cannot do enough for you and makes your stay incredible. Next year we will be staying there much longer can't wait and already booked
- Terry (10/5): Amazing hotel and staff. - Cannot fault anything really about Elounda garden suites the staff are so friendly and really go out of their way to help.The maid service was excellent,beds and towels changed every day and even on the days that we went out late morning we always returned to a spotlessly cleaned apartment.Pool area was very clean although we go to the beach more we sometimes end up round the pool late afternoon and there was always room to chill out.Its the first time we have been to elounda and we found it full of amazing people and some excellent restaurants as well as some very good cafes.The locals are so friendly and always welcomed you with a warm broad smile,everybody is laid back and chilled although they work very hard and long hours they always have a smile for you.The beach was great although I should imagine it gets very crowded in peak season as it's not very big but as we were there in October we never had trouble getting sun beds which where only €2-50 each.

- helen (10/5): Lovely apartments, fab location! - We have just spent a week at Elounda gardens, the apartments are basic but very clean and spacious, we stayed in a first floor room, which are private and very quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful, Mario is always there to answer your questions and give advice on what to do and where to eat. Breakfasts are lovely, especially the omelettes. They are also located very close to the centre, about 3 minute walk. We would definetly stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful week!

Good location only 5 minutes walk from the town centre but very quiet location. Rooms very clean and good size as well as being cleaned everyday. Breakfasts cater for all requirements - good selection and as much as you want to eat. We also had lunches here and they were also very good - fantastic salads - try the Ceasar Salad - fab!

- julie (10/5): Wonderful intimate friendly hotel - We have just spent our honeymoon at the Elounda Garden Suites and can't thank Mario and his wonderful staff enough. From the moment we arrived they went out of their way to welcome us and cater for our every need. The breakfast was delightful plenty of choice and all presented with flair. The rooms were tastefully furnished and cleaned to a very high standard on a daily basis. Mario was very helpful with suggesting places we should visit and restaurants we should eat in. He often liked to surprise his guests with free smoothies or sangria whilst lying by the pool. The pool area was very peaceful and clean always plenty of comfy sun beds and towels available upon request. We asked for a nice room and this was certainly provided we had 3 balconies so could always sit in the sun when we wanted to. Complimentary wine and fruit were provided upon our arrival even though it was a late flight. The location was superb right in the heart of the town but without any noise to disturb us. We would not hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel book quickly to avoid missing out.

- gwen (10/5): Great location, nothing to fault - This was our first visit to Crete, and it won't be our last Elounda Garden Suites was perfectly located, just a couple of minutes walk to elounda, with its wide choice of restuarants and bars. We didn't hire a car, but caught the bus from the airport to Aghios Nickolaus for 7 euros each, followed by a short taxi ride to Elounda at €13 The beach in Elounda is man-made, and not brilliant, but with a hand drawn map, provided by elounda garden suites we found the best beach about 30 minutes walk away, and we arrived there just as a large boatload of tourists were leaving, so had it to ourselves! Our room was spotless, with a safe, hairdryer, two cooking rings and a fridge. We had two balconies and loads of space for clothes. Great towels and dressing gowns, and daily maid service. We even got a gift from the owners when we left Couldn't fault it at all - a great place to stay
- Jackie & Tony (10/5): An absolute gem - This place is an absolute gem. The staff are excellent and very friendly, if you have any questions they are more than happy to assist. The location is great, just a few minutes away from the town centre and beach which means you get the convenience without the noise. The rooms are cleaned each day and of a very good standard, we had one of the few family suites and had more than enough room for two! Those staying tend to vary between the pool and beach so the pool is never very busy. Breakfasts are excellent and there is food served all day. I think this was offered as a 3 Star plus but it will not take long before it becomes at least four stars. I would recommend a stay here before this place becomes more popular!
- chris (10/5): Excellent - If you're after a secluded quiet holiday in a prime location then you've found it. Lovely done suites which are clean and the cleaner every day goes above and beyond to keep them that way. Pool was lovely, people staying there were great and friendly. The staff there couldn't do enough for you whilst staying there, I couldn't recommend it enough

- Linda (10/5): Wonderful hotel close to town - We had a great 2 weeks at elounda garden suites. Rooms are spacious and very clean-fresh towels every day. Staff are so helpful and friendly. They cannot do enough for you especially Mario and George. Thanks!! Will definitely return to EGS.
- Shir B. (10/5): Great hotel in a great location - Excellent hotel, very helpful staff that helped us with all our questions about where to go and what to see. The location is great: in a quite street but only 2 minutes walk from the town center, shops, restaurants and the beach. Parking is limited, but there is a big parking lot about 1 minute walk from the hotel. Overall we loved this hotel, and would come back again!
- Paul & Tim (10/5): Fabulous - Just returned from a fantastic & relaxing 13 night stay here @ EGS. Great location no more than 5 minutes to the Town Square with all the bars, restaurants the beach. The rooms are kept very clean, the bed is more comfortable than our one at home, and great pillows as well which is a rarity in holiday apartments. The pool is a great place to relax, and sometimes we had the place to ourselves, almost like having your own private villa (see pics). And it never got really busy, always loads of sun beds available. What really makes this place special? It’s the staff. Every one of them goes out of their way to make sure you have everything you need, and that all is OK. Starting with Alex, who made sure the taxi was waiting for us at the Airport, to the lovely young lady who kept our room nice and clean. But the 3 members of staff who were always there looking after our every need (mainly wine & beer) and deserve a special mention are, Mario, Katerina and Rena. Mario thank you for being a Front of House star, Katerina thank you for keeping us fed and watered all day and Rena thank you for making our breakfast time very special and hilarious every morning. If you order any drinks from the bar you will be rewarded with Katerina’s famous snack platters (see foodie pics) all complimentary and delicious and when she’s isn’t serving she will be found in the kitchen baking the next batch of lovely homemade cakes and tarts. - Susan (10/5): A very pleasant stay in Elounda - The hotel staff could not do enough for us. It felt like visiting a close relative. It was reasonably priced but wine, water and fruit in the room and a great breakfast. The staff even gave us a present of local produce when we left. The hotel is small but very comfortable and a few minutes from the centre of Elounda. We would definitely use it again.
- Gill (10/5): Amazing! - Elounda Garden Suites is a fantastic place which provides a relaxing stay catered by friendly staff. The room was of a good size, pool area was always very clean and the friendly staff always on call if you require anything. I think the running of breakfast could be improved however the service and quality of food is of a high standard. Overall Elounda was a great place to stay and I would recommend it to people of all ages looking.
- JOC (8/5): Great Hotel - Great location in Elounda, away from the centre but only a short walk to restaurants and the beach. Glad we came here instead of Agios Nicklaos, which was a bit trashy in comparison. Friendly staff - always there to help. Breakfasts were good, but were served from 8.30 onwards - not great if you need to get away early. Room had plenty of space and was comfortable. Nice to have a kettle in the room. Huge television but did not actually watch it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel, excellent staff and location - Really convenient for the town/village and beach, plus walking distance to all the nicest restaurants - do try the Okeanis - fabulous food and not your typical tourist fare. Staff were really helpful - Alex is great - and the rooms and pool are very comfortable, quiet and well looked after. Highly recommended, particularly for a quiet getaway!
- Moira (10/5): Still ...just perfect ! - I stayed at Elounda gardens earlier this year and was a little apprehensive about returning. We had had such a perfect time I worried that, after a busy season, the strain would be showing. Could not have been more wrong. The rooms are as clean and well kept as ever, Alex and his team are still as helpful ...always smiling , always anxious to make sure your stay is exactly as you want it. Katerina's home baking cannot be beaten; the pool and surrounding area as welcoming as before, the whole experience ..just perfect !
- Verified traveler (8/5): good position - We were greated by a very warm welcome from Alex. We new instantly we had made the right choice. all areas were spotless, the pool area looked very nice. Our room was very clean also quite private. the kitchen had very little equipment, but anything we requested was given to us. so to us this wasn't a problem. a few little problems but they were also,resolved almost immediately. My husband and I haven't booked self catering for many years, so this was quite different from our normal 5 star hotels. Having said that, this hotel suited us very well on this occasion. we would recommend this hotel, if you want a small intimate and quiet hotel near the centre of Elounda I recommend this one. The staff were never intrusive and we felt very relaxed.
- Anne (10/5): Lovely apartments in pretty & convenient location - On arrival we had a warm welcome from Alex who gave us some excellent restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. Our apartment was simply furnished but had everything we needed - plus towelling robes and slippers in the bedroom, wine and fruit in the fridge, and three balconies! The suites and grounds were kept spotlessly clean and the gardens were beautifully planted. There were books and games in the bar area and towels for the pool. The suites were in a peaceful location (apart from the occasional barking from the neighbours dog) less than 5 minutes walk from the town centre and harbour. There were parking spaces available. Elounda is a small town in a beautiful location with many good tavernas, several good bakeries and supermarkets. There are some great local walks, boats to Spinalonga and decent roads to the local sights.

- Denise (10/5): Lovely little oasis 5 mins walk from main centre - We had an amazing stay at Elounda Garden Suites. Alex and his staff were fantastic, every need was catered for. There were many lovely little touches like wine and fruit on arrival and bubbly and fruit the night before departure. Breakfast was superb and very well presented (more like 5 star hotel style). We were taken to our room personally by Philip and shown how to work the TV etc. During our stay whenever we ordered a drink or cocktails, the drink was always accompanied by a little snack (nuts, crisps or fruit). Our room was cleaned daily and the towels replaced daily too. We will definitely be back to stay here.
- Verified traveler (8/5): An enjoyable stay - We had a very good holiday and enjoyed our stay. The staff were very nice and so helpful. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels supplied each day. Our only criticism is the kitchenette is so limited it is better not to plan any cooking, but there are numerous excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel is close to all amenities in Elounda and the area is beautiful.
- Ellen (10/5): boutique style suites - Fantastic stay, friendly staff, good quiet location a couple of minutes walk from the main centre. The pool area was clean and ample sunbeds although it was not fully open due to rooms being refurbished. If you did want the breakfast option you could just turn up and chose what you wanted from a huge list and there was always a little extra surprise at the end which was a lovely touch. Only slight negative was our rooms did not have the safe mentioned on the details (but crime rate very low in Crete) and the rooms were not as large as expected from photographs, but plenty of storage and space for 2 people.
