• 438tyf (10/5): Lovely stay at Villa Las Anclas - Great stay at this boutique villa! The family that runs Las Anclas is very welcoming and friendly, and offers up anything they can to help make your stay more enjoyable. The A/C worked excellent , the bed was comfy , the internet worked very well, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you might need. There’s bath and beach towels, soft coolers, recyclable bags at your convenience and the outdoor space and swimming pool are really enjoyable. Very centro and slightly out of the busy area so it’s not loud at night. Had a lovely stay at Las Anclas and 10/10 recommend.

Some of the things we enjoyed about our stay... - The room was nice and clean. - The small kitchenette was perfect for a couple. - They provided a large jug of fresh drinking water. - The wifi worked well. - The AC was spectacular. - The shower water pressure and temp was nice. - There was a safe provided to keep valuables safe. - The pool was small, but perfect for afternoon dips. - The property had a gate which made us feel safe. - The doors were locked with fingerprints so there was no need to carry keys. - The location is in walking distance to ATMs, restaurants, bars, convenience stores, scooter rentals, and shopping (including a spot called Casa Cuzamil that shows US sports like football for those traveling during NFL season). - The staff communication was great leading up to and during our stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable place to spend some time while checking out the beautiful island of Cozumel.

Slightly off the main street traffic but still easily walkable to dive shops, water and restaurants. The rooms were more like individual two-story lofted apartments. Spacious, comfortable, and everything we needed. The outdoor common areas were beautifully decorated, and the pool area was peaceful and serene. The staff here were incredible! Would absolutely stay here again on our next visit.
• Deia (10/5): - We stayed at Hotel Villas Las Anclaves for two weeks. We loved our stay!! The 2 level villa unit was very clean and comfortable. The spiral stairs were manageable, as we have no mobility issues. We made sure to navigate them without sandals, that made us more sure footed. The courtyard was beautiful and kept clean. We used the courtyard cooking area a few times in the morning to make eggs and bacon. The staff was wonderful!! We rented a car and they have a gated parking area right beside our building that was easy and convenient. We loved that it was close to everything but far enough away that it was quiet and easy to walk to eat dinner or get groceries at Chedraui. Highly recommend and will stay here again when visiting Cozumel!!

• sandrags (10/5): Always the best!! - This review is long overdue. We have stayed at Villa Las Anclas many times for a number of years and there is no doubt, it’s probably THE BEST in Cozumel. We have stayed at bigger, fancier places who honestly, do not compete. The staff and owner, Pam are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and exactly what we need. The beautiful courtyard has such a great, cozy vibe with a nice clean, refreshing pool. We can get to any restaurant or club, watch live music or just chill in the square in a few minutes walk from the hotel. We could not ask for a better home away from home. Thank you Pam for always making our stay so wonderful!!

I have lost count on how many times we have gotten off a cruise ship for the day there. In saying that we have done the all inclusive scene and stayed downtown one other time. Villa Las Anclas is our new and forever go to from here on out. It's a small paradise behind a gate. Beautiful grounds,rooms,and people. Wonderful restaurants right on the corner. Walk to everything. You won't be disappointed!
• GratefulDivr (10/5): Excellent Accommodations in San Miguel de Cozumel - If you like to be in town close to the water and yet still feel like you’re “off the beaten path” then Villa Las Anclas is for you. This hotel consists of 7 or 8 spacious suites appointed with small kitchens and separate sitting, dining and upstairs sleeping areas. There’s even an outside gathering area with gas and charcoal grills and a Blackstone griddle. I’ve stayed several places in downtown San Miguel de Cozumel and this will be my new go to. Nigel small pool, with area for divers to rinse off as well as a staffed front desk that has coffee ready every morning and a well-stocked lending library. Shopping, dining, drinking, diving, etc is all within a short walking distance. Also, all the fellow guest I met at Villa Las Anclas were long-time return guests which speaks volumes…

• SciGuyMrD (10/5): Very friendly property - Initially, I hesitated to rate VLA 5 stars because I would not consider it a luxury hotel. The property is a bit old but well-maintained and attractive. Rooms are basic but clean and functional. We had a bit of an issue with tiny ants but I think you would find it difficult to find any place like this in Cozumel that did not. I also was put off initially by the booking process. All my communication was through What’s App and I was requested to make a deposit using PayPal to a personal account. I never received any booking confirmation by email. Not a typical reservation process but all was above board and check in was flawless. In the end, I rated five stars because of the value and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. David at the front desk made sure we were settled and had everything we needed. Drinking water? A five-gallon jug showed up in our room within the hour. Extra bed? Set up by check-in. Extra towels? Sure! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again as a cost-effective, comfortable alternative to the larger resorts.

• todiveornottodive (10/5): Excellent stay - This hotel was fantastic. It's close to the center (and a million restaurants) and an easy walk from the ferry pier. There's a stunningly lush, calm garden path to the suites with a clean plunge pool at the end. Rosie, at the front desk, is extremely kind and accommodating. The actual suite was very nice - kitchenette was clean and had sufficient kitchenware; the shower had an openable window; and the couch was comfy despite it having a concrete base. We stayed in the unit pictured in the photos, and did find the dining room table area to be dark during the day. We moved it to the living room area on the days we worked from the hotel and that worked out fine. The wifi was excellent. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely stay here again. However, I would not recommend this to anyone who has trouble with stairs or needs a railing.

We loved the private pool with built in waterfall. The kitchen was equipped with all the needed utensils, dishes, glasses and silverware for your convivence. We stayed a few days and would love to spend more time there in the future.

• Michelle (10/5): I Wish I Could Live Here! - This will be our stay any time we come to Cozumel!This place was so unique with the cool spiral staircase, loft style bedroom, stained glass, great outdoor kitchen, and so bright and spacious. The staff is very helpful (young man found me a bottle opener one night), organized our day trips with reliable cab rides, and made sure we had things we may have forgotten. We added an extra night here even though we already had reservations elsewhere. Great neighborhood and close by just 2 blocks to the main square and great restaurants all around us. We loved this place ❤️

• danielap0p (10/5): Beautiful duplex with a great garden. - The hotel is situated on a quiet street, several hundred meters from the departing point for one day trips on boat or local bus/taxi. It is a very nice, clean hotel with a great garden. It has character and I think young people will enjoy a lot the duplex apartment.

The garden and pool areas are beautiful. It is very clean and well kept. The only thing that could be improved is the stairs to get to the 2nd floor. They could use 2 more handles.

An eye shocking blue walls front will kind of deceive you, because the villa is decorated with wonderful people, garden, and room facilities. Rossi was really great, but I met another lady who was great as well. The interior garden is like from stories: amazing flowers, decorations, utilities, everything! The room has all amenities you hope for! Besides this, Cozumel is amazing, so, if you stay there, your vacation is going to be nothing less but memorable! I loved every second of it! • Jenni (10/5): Hidden Gem in a busy paradise spot - From the moment we stepped foot in Villas Las Anclas we felt like we were at home. The quiet, pretty, and calming courtyard is absolutely beautiful and although you are near to the town you feel a million miles away in a peaceful and serene place. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable regarding the local area. The rooms are beautifully appointed, and welcoming. The kitchen comes with conveniences you'd have at home like a microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker and plates etc. The bedroom was cool and quiet, the bed fluffy and clean. The bathroom was a little small, but it wasn't an issue really. The water pressure was amazing and always hot. Hotel also provided shampoo, soap and conditioner. There were plenty of towels for in the room and for pool/beach use, too. The pool was small but great for cooling off and there was a rinse tank for our dive gear, so we were pretty pleased with that. We wouldn't stay anywhere else if we were to visit Cozumel again. It truly was a wonderful, blissful and relaxing 5 night stay. We could have stayed forever! As a side note: There are some wonderful local restaurants further back from the main street within 10 mins walking distance, with more reasonable food prices and traditional Mexican food.

• jdm878 (10/5): New favorite - We love the location that is close enough to everything, but far enough to be peaceful. No loud bar is within hearing range nor did we hear dogs barking that bothered us. The rooms are nice size with coffee maker, toaster, microwave, mini fridge. There are plates and cups in the little kitchen as well. Bottled water is available in the lobby and courtyard. Brewed coffee is available in the lobby. The spiral staircase is a unique feature that gets you up to the loft where the bed, tv, and bathroom are located. The A/C works great. The courtyard also has a grill available and a community seating area and a small pool. What impressed us most was the service of the staff. Always there to greet you and call for a cab. I left my phone on the couch in the lobby one morning and Karla took the owner’s car to deliver it to us at Bucannos. Thanks Karla! They will clean the room daily or skip days at your request. We will definitely return the next visit to Cozumel.

• Lucky1979 (10/5): Charming, clean and quiet in a great location! - We had a great stay at over Christmas. The staff was so welcoming and helpful, Rosie was a gem! The villa was extremely clean and well stocked with toiletries and kitchen needs as well as reusable bags for grocery runs. Hot coffee in the lobby every morning was a nice touch, as well as being greeted by the friendly schnauzer Otto. They have a beautiful shared courtyard with a grill, flattop and 2 burner for cooking which we used quite often. The pool was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun. They have a rinse and drying area for scuba gear too. Less than a block from restaurants and the waterfront. There is also gated parking next door ($) which was so nice for our rental jeep. I am hesitant to recommend this place because I want there to be vacancies next time we come!!

• Joyce10202022 (10/5): Our Favorite Cozumel Hotel - We’ve stayed in Cozumel many times and we always stay at Villa Las Anclas. The location, just 2 1/2 blocks from the plaza, is perfect. Walking distance to all the shops and a fantastic choice of restaurants nearby. The hotel is just as perfect. Karla has always been there to welcome us and to ensure all our needs are met. The suite itself is well appointed and so very comfortable. Small kitchen, dining area and living room downstairs with the bedroom and bathroom in the loft. The staff keeps the suites immaculate and I can’t say enough about how comfortable the queen sized bed is. Thank you Karla and all the Villa Las Anclas staff for another perfect visit.

• Julie (3/5): Poor - There was no Windows that could be open. Under any circumstances that’s Important but during Covid times it’s critical. As it was too hot we had to sleep with the air con on. I would not stay again. In fact had we been able to we would of moved.
• furias3 (10/5): Our 9th Year Here - We have never been disappointed once and now it is our home away from home. Karla is just a fantastic manager and makes sure everything goes smoothly during our stay. This is a small, quiet condo unit with 8 individual rooms, each with a kitchenette and large living area downstairs with queen bed and bathroom upstairs. It has a wonderful courtyard and small pool which is perfect for that morning and evening dip. The beds are comfy, the water pressure good and the ac keeps us nice and cool for a good night's sleep. We have stayed at some of the bigger resorts but much prefer the 2 block walk to all the food and bar options not to mention the fun shopping. Let's just say if I was to buy a condo in Cozumel this would be it!

• Verified traveler (10/5): - This property is an unbelievable value: huge two story room, right in the heart of San Miguel, two minute walk from everything, nice pool, barbecue area, and super-friendly staff. They also gave me free late checkout. No complaints whatsoever. I will certainly be back!
• Heejin (10/5): Charming Oasis in the Center of Cozumel - This hotel looks much better in person. The villa is huge, like a real house, but in a gated, safe area with a cute shared courtyard, outdoor kitchen, and a pool. The private house/ villa has a kitchen, dining room, living room on the first floor and the bedroom and bathroom on the second-floor loft area. The Wifi is fast and consistent, making it a perfect place to work remotely. The deco is cute, and everything is very clean. The manager is probably the nicest and the most helpful person I've met. She went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and was always available in-person during the day and on Whatsapp overnight. I had a very unique dog food I needed for my dog, and she posted on her Facebook and called tons of veterinarians and found the same food quickly for me. The cleaning service was also way beyond my expectation. The daily cleaning was very thorough, much better than most 5-star hotels I stayed. And the location couldn't be any better. It's just one block inside of the main promenade area, making it easy to walk everywhere while being quiet. It's like a little oasis in the center of Cozumel. I didn't have a car but it was $6 taxi ride to most of beach clubs in the south such as Money bar, Sky Reef and etc. I strongly recommend this hotel.
• Tonya (10/5): - Very close to the center of town . Many restaurants just steps away . Property was well maintained and gorgeous. Staff was very friendly and helpful . Room was as cleaned daily . We would definitely stay there again .
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Very quiet, beautiful Villa, that was ran by very kind and helpful staff. Met other couples that were staying there and had a community dinner at the outside kitchen with the fish we caught. Love this place and will return!

• Sean (10/5): - Wonderful place to stay in town. Well located and close to excellent restaurants without the mass tourist vibe found along the waterfront. Rooms open directly to the outside courtyard which is nice. Daily service is outstanding. Coffee and Tea anytime. If you are a diver, Aldora divers is outstanding and just around the corner. Very handy. Overall much better local vibe than the large touristy hotel options.
• John (10/5): Home away from home. - Home away from home. Staff, owners and guests were great. We have a house in Corpus Christi that was being repaired. It was great to stay where we could walk everywhere and enjoy places we rarely go because of parking. We would stay there again.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Walking into the courtyard from the street was such a nice surprise. The hotel was very secure and very clean. Our room was perfect. Nice small living area downstairs and then up the stairs to the bedroom and bathroom. Fresh coffee in the morning at the lobby and a great communal kitchen area in the courtyard. The pool was also nice and very well maintained. We would not hesitaste to stay here again.
