- BakitaKK (2/5): 1 star service for 4 star prices - I booked a 12-night stay at Nile Village Hotel, expecting a relaxing 4-star experience (in November 2025) - which is what they advertise themselves as. Instead, I walked directly into a construction zone. The swimming pool was completely shut, and although the spa, sauna, steam room and gym were technically “open”, the constant drilling throughout the day made them unusable. The noise was so loud it could be heard from the road outside the hotel. None of this was communicated before arrival, despite the hotel knowing the facilities had been closed since 1 November. Management offered minimal compensation (three ciders), repeatedly failed to give clear answers, and left me to find alternative accommodation myself before finally agreeing to move me, after I contacted Expedia to complain. The experience was nowhere near what was advertised, and the lack of transparency and customer care was extremely disappointing.

The security was good and they also have ample parking space The rooms need a little touch-up to be value for money. Could do with a complimentary bottle of water in the room

The nice part of the hotel from the pictures is the garden and pool area but these are currently a building site due to renovations which I was not warned about. My ‘Deluxe Double Room’ was right by the road and did not have the promised garden or pool view. The a/c was not working. Once fixed, I discovered the refrigerator was not working. When I tried to call reception to let them know - the room phone was not working. There were broken tiles and damp in the bathroom. WiFi was patchy. Overall poor value for money as this is one of the more expensive hotels in Jinja.

- 381lisef (2/5): Do not choose this hotel!! - Steer clear of this hotel. It has very poor service, disgusting beds and dirty rooms with lots of dust in the windows and under the bed. Incredibly bad food, slow waiters who took forever to serve you. All the staff smiled brightly, but quickly lost their smile when you didn't tip them. All the staff were more or less beggarly. Fortunately, there are better hotels and better places to go in Uganda.

- glynjt (4/5): You pay Extra for Spa Facilities - How a hotel can have the word 'Spa' in it and then charge residents extra for the Sauna and Steam? When booking a hotel through an Online Travel Agency (OTA), such as bookings.com, the hotel pays a commission, so I thought we could turn up and pay the same price. The hotel would also save some money. Not at this hotel! The OTA would charge about 320k ugx, but the reception asked for 520k, a significant increase. When I explained that they would save by matching the OTA price, they couldn't do it. We paid through the OTA, then they treated us quite coldly. Not very professional. The whole check in process took about 25 minutes. The delux room was fine except the shower mixer sprayed you with water. Due to it needing repair, you could not get the water from the overhead. Very few soaps and tea bags were provided. Disappointed that the Sauna was not available without extra payment. You expect to pay for facilities such as massage, but not these when it is a Spa. Restaurant food was ok, but had to be warmed up. Waitress was friendly. Housekeeper was friendly. This has the potential to be a good hotel, if management looks into some of the details.

- Scott (4/5): - I was very disappointed with my stay at Nile Village. I have stayed at this hotel 2-3 times a year for the last few years but this stay was different. I booked 3 deluxe rooms but was given 3 cottage rooms which are $20 cheaper than what I booked. I brought this issue up multiple times but was told they couldn't do anything about it. After checking in too the rooms one family member was moved to 2 different rooms because things were broken. 2 rooms were missing shower doors, there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The food was pretty good and the staff was friendly. But the facilities are not being kept up as well as it should be.
- godesigninc (4/5): Disappointing stay at Nile Village - I was very disappointed with my stay at Nile Village. I typically stay at this hotel 2-3 times a year and book multiple rooms but this visit was different. The hotel has a new manager and the service just wasn't the same. I booked a total of 3 rooms. One family member was moved 3 times due to issues in the room (broken AC, broken shower) the last room was next to the bar and they had to listen to loud music every night until 1130pm. I booked 3 deluxe rooms but was given the cheaper cottage rooms. I spoke with the front desk multiple times about this but upper management never spoke with me about it. The cottage is about $20 USD per night cheaper than the deluxe rooms. 2 rooms had no shower doors, mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The filter on the AC was filthy and blew dust when it was turned on. This place has not been taken care of very well as of late.

This is each and every staff member you meet. Nothing is too much for them, you always get a smile. They are all engaging. Special shout to the Florence & house keeping team , Friday Johnathan with the Waiting team truly exceptional. And the foods and beverage team amazing food & entertainment especially during the new year festival. Truly thankful

There was an internal problem with my reservation, but after some time it was successfully solved. I was apologized for that kindly. A la carte menu at the restaurant is very good and worth of trying. Great massages in spa center. - hotel can organize church meetings with singing on the weekend, so it may not be always a silent environment - no rules at the pool - huge families can dominate the area and personel don't pay attention for that - breakfast are little bit crappy, especially in contract of good a la carte menu - gym room is a total disaster, even dangeours to use - most of the machines are damages or/and without power - not very good water drain in shower - bungalow entry doors need to be double checked if locked properly - no safe in the room

- jx454 (2/5): Cancelled reservation without informing me - I made a reservation and got a confirmation number, but when I wrote to them to note that I would be coming in late, they said that they had cancelled the reservation because others had come in, and if I wanted to ask questions I should deal with the website that I booked the reservation on. This was after receiving a confirmation number for the reservation. If I hadn't emailed them out of courtesy, I would never have known my reservation was cancelled. I found another hotel and will never stay there, because I can't know if my reservation will be honored.

I was greeted with such kindness, and this continued throughout my stay. My room was situated on the ground floor. I stayed at for three nights in March 2024. The room was fantastic. Clean, modern, and had a fantastic view over the surrounding. The rooms were big by City standards. I can’t complain about this hotel. Am not a gym fun, but I wanted to maximize on my experience at the hotel. I tell it was great, and fantastic. All of the facilities were clean and modern. The restaurant meals were sumptuous and delicious. I dined here for breakfast and dinner.” As a hotelier, I could not wait to visit the kitchen. I found the executive Chef quite passionate about his work! Indeed, my stay was perfect – the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are quiet. The waiters really went out of their way to make sure everyone in my family got what they needed, whether it was directions or recommendations. I had a great time meeting everyone and socializing yet when I wanted to, I could get a quiet night’s sleep.” “Hands down the best chicken wings I have ever eaten. My partner and I were visiting some friends in the area and these heavenly wings (and a couple of sides of rice) were the only thing requested. The wings themselves had great flavor and amazing crunch. But really, I think the crispiness of the wings is what makes the wings so good (and addicting). The sauce was a balanced mix of sweet and spicy (very mild, if I had to rate it), which was also great over rice. Amazing food - always perfect, always on point
- Francisco (5/5): Nice until the check out! - The room and the swimming pool The breakfast The cleaning service We get some beers the last night for the room to drink with my wife, but we do not consume all of them. in the check out the manager refuse to take back the non consumed beers because they already were marked as sold on their inventory at the end of the month and their system was not able to put them back again. I had to pay the beer I do not consume and bring them with me. I do not understand why they were not capable to force their countability system! they prefer to charge the customer and get the benefits.

- John (7/5): We had a comfortable stay - I like the arrangement/spatial plan of the hotel where you have an open dinning, bar and swimming pool all located in the central place where most of the hotel rooms face. The staff are very receptive and they attended to all our concerns regarding food.

- 537nissik (8/5): I'd go again - The hotel is quite nice. The rooms are beautiful with your own electrical kettle, fridge and a tv. The roos are impressive 10/10. Though the food we ordered took some time yet it was just ribs. Also me and my family were enjoying a evening swim when some lady who I assume is probably the manager chased us from the pool keep in mind it was just like 6pm.

- Bright (8/5): It's worth the money. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family. - Breakfast was a buffet and very good with both local foods and Western choices. My daughter was happy with the American-style pancakes and syrup as a choice. I also loved the cottage setup. A very good place to stay. The swimming pool was well-maintained and the lifeguard guy was very friendly and welcoming. I don't have anything bad to say about this hotel. The staff, and evening entertainment were great and I enjoyed my stay.

- Null (7/5): Nile village visit review Q1 - The receptionists were very welcoming and helpful. Asking for drinking water to give to my daughter to take her medication but they refused. They gave an excuse of saying that it was finished because they wanted us to go and buy it from the bar. The food and beverage manager was called but just looked at us and he went back. Not helpful at all. The way they do their cleaning around the dining area while customers are still eating, is not good. Cleaners left the floor wet and they didn't even put a warning sign. I nearly fell over. Their health and safety is really bad.
- Adam (6/5): Hotel needs improvements - I would rate this hotel 3* max as many things needs improvements. Not much choice in the morning with breakfast buffet. One of the machine in the restaurant make annoying sound every few seconds. Gym is there but 50% of equipment was broken and we couldnt use it! Rooms are ok but nothing special. Bed mattress hard. Window net broken. No nets in bathroom windows. Fortunately AC worked well. No bedside lamp. No plug in the sink. But most frustrating thing was NO WATER FOR MANY HOURS OR VERY LOW PRESSURE!
