Guest Reviews
- nientsul2026 (8/5): Lee's short stay - Extreme value for for your money ,convenien location for just about everything, atmosphere is good, cleanrooms, service at counter is friendly and quick.
Would use this location again.
- F1130FLallieb (2/5): Keep looking - Don’t stay here! Filthy, uncomfortable beds, dirty sheets and blankets. Hairs in the bathroom. The service was rude and lazy. The location is the only positive thing I can say. Rate this place a -10, keep looking.
- David (2/5): - It was a dump. Poorly maintained. The bathroom was falling apart and the tub was so slippery it was DANGEROUS. People fought in thier rooms so loudly it SCARED other quests. We would never stay there again.
- Doujaco (6/5): Okay for the relative pricing. - The hotel is clean and the front desk staff was nice. The room seemed a bit worn out with a door that didn't close solidly and a security latch that didn't fully engage. For a discount place it was okay and by relative pricing to nearby properties it was probably a competitive rate. It is a long, long way from most restaurants and services and we had to Uber to get anywhere. We probably would have been money ahead to pay more for a nicer place closer to the main dining areas.
- Shykeisha (8/5): - staff was amazing, hotel was clean, and the free breakfast was just like any other at that level. I’ve never seen a yogurt machine before so that was something.
- Deanna (4/5): - The beds were comfortable
- Lorri (6/5): - Property is old and showing it. Shower was not clean and needs to be redone. Hasn’t been kept up at all.
- Natalie (6/5): - No hot water for showers ...barely warm...
- Robbie (10/5): - Good price with breakfast and clean rooms
- Brittany (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay. Everyone was friendly, the hotel was clean and conveniently located by Moody Gardens. Can’t beat the price either!!
- CASTILLO, LUZ (10/5): - Outdated but clean.
Staff were excellent and treated my family kindly.
- Lawrence (10/5): - Do not like remote control for tv.
- katina (2/5): - I didn’t like that the hotel was dirty and had an odor to it. Toilet barely worked, just not a 4 or 5 star hotel
- Wander33137794680 (6/5): Overall, decent place. - Overall the hotel was in a good location close to the beach. My room was clean and well stocked. Staff was friendly and helped when I needed an iron. My only issue was the shower water pressure that was very low, bed was a bit uncomfortable, and I could hear people slamming their doors at night which kept me up. Overall, it was a good hotel for the price and location.
- Robert (6/5): - We didn't spend much to stay here so we aren't too upset about the rooms that need updating or the lack of amenities.
- Robert (10/5): - It was clean and nice. I will be back!
- David (10/5): - Decent price.
- Otto (10/5): - The room had a smell in it upon arrival but I was able to enjoy the room once I let some fresh air in from the balcony.
- Lijun (10/5): - I recommend
- Edward (8/5): Meatless breakfast - They did not service any meat for breakfast, I wish that it was mention on web site. No veggie burgers or something like that.
- Kay (10/5): - Easy to get to places.
- deborahlN2949YO (10/5): Good - Need new mattress and the flooring needs some replacing. The shade on the window did not come down for privacy. The staff was friendly when we checked In and also this morning. They are doing some me renovations and we do understand that. This will be the first time we leave our truck while on a cruise.
- Oluwakemi (10/5): - Close to water park and Moody’s garden.
Also Chipotle is abt a mile away.
- william (10/5): - Frigerator not cold
- B4012YBroberts (10/5): Great digs!!!!! - When I checked in, the staff was very friendly and as a bonus, I got to meet Steve the Halloween spider...lol. Which was the only bug I saw the entire time. Easy walk to the beach (just across the parking lot and around the hotel in front). I could see the waves from my 4th floor widow. The room's deck is pretty big, two can to sit out and enjoy the view with wine and snacks (it’s all about the snacks). They provide 2 plastic chairs.... I brought my comfy folding camp chair...great reading with the sound of waves crashing. Galveston Island brewing is awesome and just around the corner (Tip: sitting at the bar inside you will make friends, but there is lots of laid-back seating outside with no pressure to be friendly). Loaded Fries from Thai Cajun is also next door…mmmmm. I took in a movie at the theater next door as well. When are people going to re-realize how awesome the big screen is, especially with buttered popcorn (which you can put on as much movie time popcorn butter as you want there.... its self-serve… say what!!!! …yes). Jimmy's is next to the hotel on the beach and is a good stop for cocktails and bacon wrapped shrimp after an evening walking the sea wall or beach. With your receipt from the restaurant, you can walk the pier in the evening.... very nice (I am still thinking about the bacon wrapped shrimp and martinis). Dudes, this is not a new hotel but it has been updated, clean, and I will stay here again. It is true that they have eggs and waffles and a bunch of other stuff, but don’t have bacon or sausage at breakfast (except sausage was loaded in the biscuits and gravy). Weird…. But who doesn’t like a little weird in their life. Enjoy!!! Oh, one more handy tip both elevators have a button but they are not connected. Push both buttons for the quickest service…. You will love this place….
- M4585WOjohnc (8/5): Good for the priceless - Great for the price very clean and good breakfast. Good location right off of the beach on the north side of the island close to major activity bbbbbbbbbbbbbb. Bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb
- Billy (4/5): - Bug spray smell was to strong bug legs in the floor
- Joe (8/5): - Great!!
- tanyar675 (8/5): Galveston trip - Everything was clean. Breakfast was very good. Customer service was very good. Gave me coffee when ever I needed it. Grounds were very clean. Would stay again. Pool was clean . Everyone on staff was polite and willing to help. Got shower chair iron iron board on request. 4star
- Loan (10/5): - I will come back 👍
- Michael (6/5): - Room did not look like website. Room smelled weird, we left the balcony door open to clear the foul odor. Shower did not drain while showering, water was up to my ankles. Tub drained very, very slow after shower. Shade would not close. We figured out the next day it was electronic. It had appeared the cord was broke, as it was so short, about 3 inches long! Will not stay here again, it's a disappointing Wyndom property.
- Stanley (4/5): - Rooms were nothing like the pictures shown. You walked into the hotel and could smell the old moldy nastiness. The shower had no pressure and Luke warm water. The staff were the saving grace. They went above and beyond to try to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
- Timothy (8/5): - Safe place
- 358PaulJ (8/5): Great value - Over all great location. Polite staff rooms are ok. We book this room for one night and it’s was very reasonable around £45. So more than happy great bargain. Ok it’s not 5 star but you are not paying 5star money. Very safe nice pool and clean. Would stay again if in the area.
- Lisa (10/5): - It was an unplanned trip.
But the stay was so pleasant thank you. Last minute stay was awesome.
- Frances (10/5): - Always love this hotel. The customer service is on point. We will be back.
- kelly (2/5): DON'T STAY HERE - From the minute I tried to check-in this hotel was a disaster. Nobody was at the counter and there was a sign. This said they were walking the property so that tells me. There was only one staff member for this hotel. I actually had to leave and come back a 1/2 an hour later. And then the staff member was in an office, hiding out somewhere the smell in the room was so overpowering, and there was a dehumidifier in the hallway with a tube running to the room next door to me in the stairwells, there was so much debris that you could hardly walk without getting Sheetrock on your shoes, I did not feel safe in the my room and thus I just left as I couldn't when I tried to reach out to hotels.com, they said to talk to a manager. Well, there's no manager to talk to nobody. There's no phone number directly to the hotel. And there was lack of staff to help.
- Stephanie (10/5): - The staff was very polite and very helpful. The room was clean and our housekeeper Everyday was very attentive and sweet and I was really appreciative of her. The value that you’re getting at this hotel and the location cannot be beat. Breakfast was also really good.
- Blythe (10/5): - Was a great stay..ty!
- Russell (8/5): Nice beach getaway. - It’s in a great location for beach access but the property needs a lot of maintenance. There was a company there working on the property so I believe this will be resolved soon.
- dbrown370339 (8/5): Great location - The location was great. The bed was comfortable. I liked the balcony. The room was spacious. However, when I got ready to leave the next morning. I did see a roach but there was a lot of construction going on
- Adrian (8/5): Last Minute Booking Review - Check in was after 1am. Associate was professional and helpful. Room and bathroom were clean. No stains on the sheets or pillows, carpets, toilet, and shower. The refrigerator was nice and kept beverages cold. The room was on the 4th floor and we had a good view of the gulf. I didn’t get a chance to try breakfast because I slept in each morning. I almost canceled my reservation because of reviews I read. I’m glad I didn’t. I would stay here again.
- Rebecca (8/5): Great service when help needed - We had a great room with a very very loud kid upstairs. The desk clerk helped us move to a similar room.
- sandravX9852TE (10/5): Needed the getaway and it was very restful - Beds were great, plenty of big fluffy pillows, and great service.
Will stay again. The location was not right on the seawall but was positioned where we still had a wonderful ocean view from our balcony. Construction was needed after the last storm, but did not interfere in our stay.
- Felicia (8/5): - Great stay. Property had some damage maybe from a storm or something but it was a good stay. The sign should be a bit bigger couldn’t see it over the trees and bushes
- Sarah (8/5): - Large roaches or water bugs in room on two different days. I dead and the other alive. Also, on at least two occasions the soap holder in the shower area was cleaned and the ice bucket was not emplied and a new plastic bag not inserted.
- Felicia (6/5): - The building had a bad smell caused my husband’s and I sinuses to go crazy.
- MikeJill24 (6/5): Disappointed - We paid a little extra to stay at this hotel thinking it was going to be nicer and cleaner.
We were actually pretty disappointed.
When you walk into the hotel, it smells nice, but when you walk into the room, it smells old and musty and almost mildewish. We even had to go to Walmart and get air freshener just so we could deal with the smell of the room. While we were there, we were coughing and sneezing and the pillows are very hard so I would bring your own. The beds are okay, but they do not provide a thicker blanket or comforter. So if you like to sleep with the AC on at night and you like your comfy blanket, I would bring that to. the breakfast is pretty good But definitely not enough waffle makers. The staff is nice. But there are definitely things that they can work on. I know the appearance of the hotel wasn't up to par and the pool was closed but that is due to the recent hurricane so I can't really blame them for that, Although through our reservation, they could have mentioned the damage that was sustained and the equipment that was outside and that the pool was not functional. We probably would have booked elsewhere. But the inside can definitely use improvement as well. Showers had gaps in the grout and black mold, which is really nasty. They need to understand that people can be highly allergic to this stuff.
- Jonathon (2/5): - It was terrible, smelled like mold and mildew in the room and they refused to change me rooms even when there was a room available. There was black mold every where in the room.
- Jonathon (2/5): Hotel room 302 - It was terrible, smelled like mold and mildew in the room and there refused to change me rooms even when there was a room available. Their was black mold every where in the room
- Omar (10/5): - Room very clean did fish almost all day evrry day.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Completely satisfied with service and cleanliness. Will stay there again
- kguerrero2024 (2/5): Better options available - Needs repairs, problems should have been stated on website (maintenance workers, noise, no pool). There are better Wyndham properties available.
- Chloe (10/5): - Excellent hotel. The workers was great. The only down fall we had during the stay was our room card kept deactivating. Other than that it was great.
- Cheryl (10/5): - Staff were noce. Only thing the renovation of.the hoteloutside. There was paint chips and some holes where men were working and no caution sofns. Other than that it was a great stay
- Maria (2/5): - I asked front desk for an iron and she stated for me to go down and get it. Not good and the stay condition was not stay able. Should call the city to close it down. Not following the city ordinance to have the hotel running.
- LOLA (4/5): - The property is somewhat dated. The fitted sheet was stained on one of the beds. Wi-Fi didn’t work. I requested late check out and, at check in, the agent confirmed my late check out for 1pm. On checkout day, several staff members knocked on the door prior to, at, and after 11a. Breakfast was lackluster. There was not a meat option and the eggs and coffee were watery.
I do not recommend this property to others.
- lwindh168939 (2/5): Building is falling apart - Granted we went after the hurricane but the building was falling apart and leaking a lot of water. The room felt wet and the hallways smelt like weed. I stayed there because I found it online and it was a cheap stay before we got on our cruise ship. Would not recommend.
- Trek52268755284 (8/5): Good 👍🏻 - Pool wasn't available but sister pool was due to the current storms. Very good location, easy access to seawall, beach is right across the street. Parking lot is very nice and secure to park in. Breakfast had a wide variety for everyone's needs. Staff was very friendly and helpful 🙂
- Richard (8/5): - Easy walk to the beach, Nice pool. Good breakfast.
- Richard (10/5): - Was within a short walking distance to the beach. Room was spacious and clean.
- Kip (8/5): - Good place to stay without breaking the bank but still good like an expensive place.
- Rizwan (2/5): - Very dirty horrible b/fast and shower broke down
- lia (8/5): - The view we had of the beach was amazing, and the walk to the beach was very convenient. The staff was very nice as well! Limited options on breakfast, and the building could definitely use an exterior update in a lot of areas. However, my family enjoyed our stay
- Margaret (10/5): Great job Days inn! - Everyone that was polite and nice and courteous to you. They got our rooms quickly and efficiently. They clean. It was a good place to stay
- Johansen (10/5): Great - Great hotel! Quick stop for our family.
- tarawU1261WZ (2/5): HORRIBLE - This is literally the worst hotel I have EVER been in. First issue when we was checking in there was a fire everyone had to go outside. Second issue they charged me twice for 1 room then the manager and front desk girl were rude about it like it was my fault. I tried telling the girl I already paid and she kept telling me it was an authorization hold which I know better gave her my card anyways and sure enough I was charged twice. After spending time with booking to try and get my money back. The hotel then told me I had a double reservation and they then charged me another 100 for a cancellation fee thats why I was charged twice. And you mean to telll me the front desk girl couldn't see in the computer my name twice and she wouldn't ask me right then and there did I need that reservation they wait a whole day later when Im 12 hours away from home and on vacation with my family to charge me another 100. In total this hotel took 500 extra dollars from me when it wasn't even necessary ruining my entire vacation. I wasn't told I had 2 reservations by the girl who checked me in the night before. The manager who is RUDE and seriously needs fired then said yes we did double charge you but you had a 2 reservations and we had to charge a cancellation fee for that. The room was dirty when we got into it there was a hair on the toilet cob webs under the closet where the hangers go no weather stripping around the doors so they slammed shut the refriderator didn't keep our drinks or food cold the rubber seal was worn out. The balcony rail was loose cigarette burns all over the place The pool had the trash can the trash bin and 2 chairs in it couldn't use the pool.Breakfast was a bunch of bread NO meat what so ever. And they try to charge 2 more for breakfast on the website..lol thats a joke. Over all I'd give this hotel a NEGATIVE ZERO if I could. Staff needs replaced with more experienced hospitality employees. No customer service skills at all. Also looks like local bums stay here all the time or peopel house here don't be tricked they are not on the beachfront they are in the back behind other hotels. I'd spend the extra money and book elsewhere. We left our vacation 2 days early due to the unprofessional experience we had with DAYS INN AND SUITES.
- Sheba (8/5): - Out of the way, quiet
- Marie (8/5): - We had a good time. Stay was good.
- Jessica (2/5): - This hotel is very, very dirty and falling apart. The other negative reviews are accurate. The whole hotel smells like mold and mildew. All of our clothing and belongings reeked of mold after just a few hours in the room. I understand that this is a common issue by the coast and I expected a little bit but this was so strong that I could smell it in my hair when I was walking the beach. I bought a candle and room spray to battle the smell but it had zero effect.
When we got to the room we could not get in. Turns out key card/door in our room was broken. Front desk told us we would have to push down, then up after inserting the card and door should open. So you better have 3 hands and move quickly if you want to enter your room. Oh also our TV broke and while that doesn’t sound like a big deal our room was pretty quiet so you could hear everyone around you all night long. I tried 3 separate times to have them fix our TV but kept getting brushed off. We ended up leaving a day early because we could not take it anymore.
Also, Because it was after 11:0am “checkout time” the hotel would not work with me on refunding me the for the night we were not staying it was only 3:00pm when we decided to leave.
I will say the air conditioning was super cold they have it set to 61 and that is great especially after breaking a sweat trying to use the key card. Looking back I think they set it so low to try and somehow help with the sever mold issue.
- Escape553289 (10/5): Great Vacation experience - Nice staff and clean room. No complaints. Will return again. Very close to the water. Can see the beach from the patio. You won't be disappointed. All of resturants are close by. Easy access for walking. First time in Galveston and we enjoyed our one day experience.
- Allen (10/5): - We love staying here
- Lourdes (10/5): - This hotel is really good! It's the first time I stayed here and I am sure, I'll come back in August again.
- 599stellas (8/5): Pleasantly Surprised, not bad at all, good value. - This was not our first choice, reservation glitch at first hotel. We chose this one because of the room rates and availability. We were pleasantly surprised Everything was good! Only wish for coffee maker in room.
Older hotel but very well maintained, housekeeping appeared to be diligent in their job. Room well stocked with towels, soap, etc. Good breakfast selection, but need bacon or sausage for the guys. I would stay here again.
- 344jeraldk (10/5): HIDDEN JEWEL - I am A frequent traveler especially from Galvelston where I leave out for my cruises. This place has got to be one of the best hidden JEWELS in GALVELSTON TX. From the time I booked the reservation, to arriving at the property and the stay was soooooooooo AMAZING for me and my family of (5). Would HIGHLY recommend this property.
- Alexandria (8/5): - It was great thank you but the ice machine only worked on the 4th floor hopefully next time all of them will work
- Kristi (6/5): - It was nice having the pool for relaxing. They were great at accepting my service animal.
It was not good at all when I found HUGE cockroaches in my room. I was totally horrified when I ended up stepping on one as I was bare foot.
- Raquel (10/5): - Comfy stay!
- Carlos (8/5): - Nice and flexible staff
- Shane (8/5): - All good
- Angela (8/5): - The property was quiet, staff was friendly. My room had a deck that faced the ocean.
- Maria (6/5): - Me gustó el cuarto que estaba cerca del estacionamiento
No me gustó el almuerzo y el piso del cuarto
- Aida (2/5): - Tv is not working, phone is not working, the guy that fix the phone doesn’t speak English at all. Breakfast is terrible!!!! All they have is scrambled eggs and breads. Not coming back to stay for sure!
- Samantha C (2/5): - The bed was dirty. Sheets had stains. Bed looked like someone had previously been on it with imprints in the bedding. Hell nah. And they won’t refund me and I didn’t stay there. I was there for max of 20 minutes and left.
- Griselda (10/5): - Great time and lovely stay
- melmat4911 (10/5): Nice location - Staff was friendly. Location was perfect for the beach. Breakfast could use some more options. I was impressed with the price of hotel.
- James (8/5): - Staff acted like big burden for any request.
Breakfast is typical "free" hotel breakfast.
Not the cleanest, but not bad for the $$.
BIG Room!
- mbonwe858051 (4/5): They need to clean up the grounds and get better contractors to do repairs. There was a mold smell in the room - There were roaches on the balcony and the room was not as near to the gulf as the photos make it seem.
- Go10574034098 (2/5): So gross we couldn't stay - This is probably the worst hotel I've ever attempted to stay at. I say attempted because we checked in and checked out as soon as we saw the room. The first thong we noticed as soon as we walked in the hotel was the awful musty smell. We got to our room and the smell was worse. There was mold on the ceiling and base boards and dead bugs on the floor. The bed was damp and there was a spot on the ceiling right above it that was moldy and dripping. There was a whole cupcake on the floor and crumbs everywhere so it was obvious that the room hadn't been cleaned. Don't wast your money!
- Astryd (4/5): Swimming pool was the worst part - The first thing I noticed when I got to the lobby was that it smelled like insecticide, in general it wasn't that bad, the room wasn't the cleanest in the world but it was acceptable, what I didn't like at all was the pool, it was too dirty, inside and out, and we found several sharp objects inside and outside of swimming pool that could easily put young children's lives at risk.
- gloria (10/5): Noisy kids - My stay would have been great but my neighbors upstairs was very loud up until 3am and the the same noise again at 7 am
- wwilso519178 (10/5): Awesome - Awesome all the way around. No problems with check in, room cleanliness, Continental breakfast or checking out.
- Sylvia (10/5): - I liked it all give 5 ✨
- Deborah (8/5): - Excellent view of the gulf coast. Walking distance to waterfront.
- Shonda (8/5): - We stay here every year at this time for our anniversary. Very pleased with the hotel and staff!
- Meagan (10/5): - We have stayed at the Days Inn three times now not spotless but not filthy. Customer service is always friendly and helpful. Overall a decent stay. (:
I disliked the amount of homeless people surrounding the property one in which whom was eating from the outdoor hotel trash can, and cleaning off in the pool. The others made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe by being drunk at the entrance and making inappropriate comments as I had to walk pass them to enter property with my small children.
- Steven (2/5): - The lady at the front desk informed me about the owner's "policy" on service animals. I was told if i left my dog unattended in the room for any amount of time, they would call animal control to remobe my dog. Even if i had the do not disturb tag up. They had a small paper up front stating this. That means if we wanted to go to the pool, the dog had to go, beach, she had to go. My sevice animal is used at night for my condition, not during the day. Looking into ADA violation.
- Lewis (2/5): - The address for the hotel did not take into consideration that the entrance from Seawall Blvd was blocked by construction. No alternate entrance instructions were provided.
On 4/19, the scrambled eggs for breakfast were cold.
There is no placard listing TV stations available in the room.
There is no coffee available in my room.
The kitchen had no TV.
The yogurt dispenser in the kitchen was out of order.
There was no comfortable chair in my room (211).
No instructors for accessing Wi-Fi were available in my room.
No newspapers or pantry (other than snack dispensers) were available anywhere.
- Jim (6/5): - Everything was fine for the stay, Breakfast was limited, especially for those looking for diabetic-friendly options.
Staff was very friendly.
The biggest issue with this stay was loud banging in our walls of our room as maintenance was being done outside.
I'm surprised they checked out those rooms that would be affected to customers knowing this work would be done during the stay. Besides that it was fine.
- Jayson (2/5): - This is probably the worst place I have stayed at in a long time.. The A.C doesn’t work all that great. The tv service doesn’t work. The water pressure in the shower and sink sucks.. The breakfast they served sucks. Can’t call service desk from room phone because it doesn’t work.. I will never stay in a Days Inn again and will not be recommending anyone else to stay either. At least the one in Galveston Tx. 8712 Sewell blvd..
This is me being nice too… because I didn’t use words that I really wanted to use to describe my stay here
