- Jean Pierre (10/5): Holiday @ Sandy Beach -Aqqa - the Hotel got amazing spot on the Indian ocean, with small coral Infront of the beach which makes snorkeling nice experience. Romm's bit old but well maintained, and comfortable beds. Food is good, and the family atmospere all around is fantastic.

- Iuliia (10/5): Great place for beach holiday - The hotel has everything needed for perfect beach stay. The rooms are located in small houses on the beach. Rooms are simple but well maintained and have everything needed. Beach is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas, there’s a swimming pool. Snoopy island with beautiful sea life is easily accessible if you can swim. Make sure to take your snorkel mask with you.

- Verified traveler (10/5): A relaxing weekend away from Dubai - We come here regularly, we love the atmosphere. You have everything you could want from a beach resort without the crowds, concrete blocks, industrial-scale catering and long carpeted corridors. The setting is amazing, you are always outside, the food is great (the choices are expanding but the original dishes are still on the menu). The new and renovated rooms are very comfortable and clean and even the older ones are clean, they are just a bit dated.
- Laney (8/5): - Sandy Beach Resort was a good place to stay. The bath towels were absolutely amazing, so plush. The views of Snoopy Island from the pool and beach were gorgeous. I liked that the rooms were designed for sand and I didn’t need to worry too much about getting it dirty. It was easy cleanup with the design. But this hotel has opportunities for growth. When my room was cleaned before I checked in, the bathroom trash was never emptied. On the second day, I was not given more toilet paper and water. The pool bar sold out of draft beer within a few hours of me arriving, and then I was told that they wouldn’t get any more in because Ramadan was starting in 2 days. Outside my door, there was a huge pile of trash/junk sitting by the rocks. It’s a big eyesore. Please do something to clean this trash pit up. It really takes away from the gorgeous views and atmosphere.

Sandy beach is different from other competitors it doesn't feel too commercial like most of the places everywhere. However, Areas that needs improvement would be check the toilet smell before checking in people to the room. People BBQ but food attracts insects. Black oil spots on the beach leaves marks on the feet here and there. Prices of drinks and food items is very high. However, nothing is worth the fun you get and for sure will visit you place again with a bigger group.

Everyone from the front desk to the restaurant staff to the bartenders...they all made sure that we were taken care of. The beach, pool, and slides were great as well. For what I paid, I expected better accomodations (fancier room, more comfortable bed, better restaurant). However, you are really paying for the scenary. The restaurant overcooked most of the meals so I would recommend just ordering sandwiches.
- Amanda (10/5): Childhood memories - I used to spend my weekends at Sandy beach hotel with my family when I was a child. And I haven’t been there for almost 10 years. So being able to find time and someone to share with this staycation at this location was overwhelming for me ! I had the best memories before and once again as an adult now ! I recommend this place 100%, even if the rooms are not luxurious, I call it an adventure stay and I love it ! The pool is amazing and you can dive around snoopy island with so many fish and turtles and even sharks if you want! It’s the perfect place to stay at if you want to get your mind out of the city !

The resort is quite old but that adds to its basic charm. Good options of accommodation from hotel rooms to self catering bungalows all in very pleasant green gardens.

- Lauretn (8/5): - The main attraction to stay at Sandy Beach is access to Snoopy Island (100 meters off the coast) where there is good snorkeling to be had (especially at low tide). Mostly used by residents who bring their own food (those staying in chalet or bungalows equipped with small kitchenettes, BBQ, garden table and chairs). Restaurant food is not great, service laid back and not super attentive. Still it makes a good family week end destination for the snorkeling experience, away from the more usual five stars hotel in the UAE. If coming from Dubai, you can make a stop on the way to Wadi Shawka for example for a trail walk / run before heading to Sandy Beach hotel...

Would love to see dietary restrictions indicated on the menu, but there are good options for most people. Rooms are large and clean. This is a family/kids hotel, maybe not so suitable for couples. No need to book expensive snorkeling boat tours as Snoopy Island is right in front of the hotel beach and you can swim to the snorkeling area. But notice that there is not much else there to do than beachy things, and you need a car to move around. Breakfast was a very, very basic if you compare it to Dubai standards. Room was big enough for a family of 4, and it was really nice to sit on the terrace and enjoy the perfect view and in the evening listen to the waves just next to you. Hotel has a nice garden area, but the pool was very small. We found a perfect Afghani restaurant in the village nearby, food was really tasty and it was amazingly cheap as well.

- charie (6/5): Under construction - Yes it’s close to the beach but lot of the hotel area is under construction, no doubt for the new season. Personally I think it’s wild overpriced for the outdated facilities. The staff are all very nice and the food in the main restaurant is straightforward and very tasty with decent value in comparison to Dubai.

We had two hotel rooms that were adjoining and it worked well for us: 4 adults and 4 kids. Our rooms opened steps away from the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was beautiful...ocean on one side, mountains on the other. Dive center, lifeguards, snorkeling, pool, and beach were all fantastic for our family.

The rooms are big but the furniture is old and needs replacing. The mattress was hard and needs to be replaced as does the bedding. The staff were very good but the entire place needs to be updated

- AW (8/5): Confortable hotel by the beach - Date of visit: second half of June/2026, during Ramadan. It was in the 40oC's. Pros: located on a nice sandy beach in front of Snoopy Island, where one can swim to and have some great snorkeling. One can also see some fish closer to the beach. Good size and clean room with sea view and I could just walk out 10 m and be on the beach. Front desk and "bell boy" provided five star hotel service. Cons: breakfast services were very slow. During the week we had a la carte and took a while to get served after we had ordered (there were usually only another table with client). It was buffet service on our last day as it was weekend. We thought we'd not have problem with service. We had to ask six times to four different people for coffee until we were served!!! And this process happened twice! The buffet breakfast selection and quality was just average.
- vinayak (8/5): A natural Beauty. - Its a good place to take a break. Beach is clean and well maintained, can find lots of marine life near the shore itself, esp. in the morning. The sunrise was mesmerizing and we had all the calm and tranquility we needed to have a beautiful and romantic weekend.

- JJ (10/5): Great hotel, on pristine beach in magical location - This is my favorite place in the UAE, away from the cities. The best secluded beach resort I've been to (and I've been to many all over the world). Top notch snorkeling and diving, where turtle and friendly shark encounters are virtually guaranteed. It's the perfect antidote to hectic Dubai. Dont expect a 5 star lobby area, bustling nightlife or expensive Michelin starred resteraunts. This is the ideal get-away, with breathtaking views of the Hajir mountains and Arabian Sea. The staff are nice and helpful, the beds are very comfortable and the grounds are immaculately kept. I will come back again and again.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Location - The main advantage of the hotel is the beach and snorkelling at Snoopy Island. The rooms, the hotel and the service are manageable but not great. Food is ok but not great. The hotel advertises 'free wifi' but that only in selected places. The room was offered on Hotels.com for 4 people, but that was not matched by the hotel and did not have the additional beds to add for the kids. In the end it was solved, but not a great start.
- Mohammed (6/5): good place - I enjoyed my stay however the place is old and the room is so basic,the beach was nice and the price was good,in my opinion the location is the best thing about the place.
- Lewis (4/5): Its old and tired. - I went to Sandy Beach to do a bit of snorkeling and as it was summer I didn't want to camp as I had done before. So the logical choice was the Sandy Beach Resort. Unfortunately it was a bit of a let down. Its old and tired, very average service and poor food. In the morning the beach was covered in plastic bottles, cigarette butts and other rubbish left by patrons the night before and no one from the resort seemed to be making any attempt to clean it up. Its disappointing that people don't care about the beach but its one of those things the resort has to deal with and keeping the beach clean is in my opinion mandatory. Its a fantastic location, a beautiful beach (when its clean) and good snorkeling around the island, but don't expect too much from the resort.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Great place to relax - Great place to relax only concern is the life guard which told us to bring the sunbed/chair back to the umbrella side, the way he told us is not in a polite way and also during the breakfast the chef in the live cooking station "omelet" seems to be he don't like to cook "very arrogant", I've asked with cheese but he cooked without cheese. People in the receptions are all friendly and professional. Also to the waiter and waitress during the breakfast they are all great except for the chef in the live cooking station. Thanks for the service provided from the guard, receptionist and to the bell attendant who guided us towards our place.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice stay with snorkeling - Nice snorkeling spot. Clean rooms. Prices for breakfast were very high so we smacked on some fruits we had in our cooler. No cushions on beach chairs, but we didn't do much laying down. Pool is pretty small but ok I guess. Overall it was a nice stay.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Great place to escape and relax. - Loved our chalet with it's outlook across the gardens, the beach and Snoopy Island. A great place for chilling (we loved the fact that there's no wifi signal in the rooms!) Large, airy room, if a little dated with holes in the net curtains I'm afraid. We completely relaxed over the weekend; enjoying a drink and breakfast on our terrace with the great views; snorkelling and kayaking around the island; and cold drinks at the beach bar (which closed far too early in our view as we were hoping to watch the sunset from there.) This is not a hotel to visit if you are a 'foodie' - only white processed bread available for sandwiches and an evening buffet was disappointing and not very warm. We did enjoy the curry the night before though. However, we are planning to return when we need to escape again from the madness that is Dubai!
- Alain (8/5): Cool hotel near the beach - It was nice staying at this hotel, it's just near the beach. The rooms are cosy, and do the necessary, anyway you won't be using it a lot. Very good massage at the beach, a must do. Cool water sports.
- Chris (8/5): Great relaxing place away from busy dubai - A good retreat away from the hectic nature of dubai. Had a fantastic relaxing time on the beach followed by BBQ Dinner and then drinks in Snoopy's Lounge. Although its a little pricey as the standard room we had felt old (but clean) we shall return
- Nathalie (8/5): nice hotel close to the beach and Snoopy island - the hotel was exactly what we expected, we did not want some luxury place, we wanted a pleasant place next to Snoopy island and Sandy beach hotel corresponded to our expectations. The food was ok, the cleanliness of the appartement was ok, the staff was ok (some improvement regarding attitude towards customers at the beach bar and snack area would be appreciated thoug)). Very nice beach and nicely groomed gardens. Good choice of water sport equipments for rent. Nice getaway for the week end, only 2 hours away from Dubai
- Greg (4/5): Disappointed - Staff were quite unfriendly on check in. Water sports centre tried to rip us off. Do not recommend going in peak season as when we went earlier this year in quiet season it was very good.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is a bit of an old hotel, however, it has been kept up well. Ocean views are nice, beach is beautiful...Hotel staff were decently helpful when you needed something. It was great for a weekend visit.
