• Vacation05261643586 (2/5): Warning! Beach bar closes. No service!! - ⚠️ DAY PASS WARNING — Save your money and go elsewhere We paid 500,000 VND per person (1,000,000 VND total) for the so-called 'Lazy Lunch Day Pass', which promises beach loungers, towels, and F&B credit at the Beach Bar. Reality check: — The Beach Bar was CLOSED. No warning, no notice, nothing. — Want a drink? You have to walk all the way up to the On The Rock Restaurant yourself. In 35°C heat. With zero beach service. — A resort staff member was present on the beach but flat-out refused to help, simply pointing toward the restaurant. For 1,000,000 VND combined, you'd expect at least basic beach service. Instead you get sunbeds, a closed bar, and a shrug. Do yourself a favour: skip the Day Pass entirely. There are better beaches on Phu Quoc with actual service and no overpriced vouchers. Bai Sao and Ong Lang Beach itself both offer sunbeds and cold drinks without this nonsense.

• SONIA (10/5): Stunning resort. A calm oasis of rustic luxury. - Wow! What an incredible piece of paradise. Mango Bay is beautiful. We stayed 4 days and could not fault it. We stayed in the large bay view villa on our first night (room switches as the resort was fully booked) and a plantation with sea view room for the rest of the stay. Both accommodations were beautiful. I normally prefer a place with a pool, but honestly I’m so pleased we chose it. There were plenty of sun loungers with comfy cushions right on the beach outside our bungalow. The water was calm, shallow and warm. There were free kayaks and paddle boards, snorkels and fins to use whenever you wanted. I didn’t miss a swimming pool at all! The restaurant is outstanding (non-guests come to this place as the food is the best in the area) and breakfast is also delicious. There are free bicycles all in fabulous condition and you can cycle to the village centre outside the resort entrance in a couple of minutes. Plenty of shops, mini markets, other places to eat and spas. A much nicer and quieter vibe than the busy main town. The hotel has free yoga in the mornings and outdoor cinema screenings at night if you wish. There also a free shuttle bus into the big town centre. The resort is stunning. Rustic but in a glamorous way. Beautiful linens and ceramics, baskets and fluffy towels. There is a spa on site too. Finally the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly…….all the time! We loved our stay. Being close to nature, hearing the cicadas in the evening and walking through the flowered paths was so relaxing. Definitely book. It’s the nicest resort in Ong Lang, and Ong Lang itself is definitely a place to relax. Nothing

• Susanna (8/5): Beautiful bungalow and excellent personal service - I stayed in bungalow B11, a beautiful room with high ceilings and an outdoor shower and toilet. The staff were very helpful, and the reception team were friendly and easy to communicate with on WhatsApp. Security felt very good. Doi, the concierge, made a personal effort to look after the guests and make sure everyone was doing well. The beach was very rocky. Difficult to swim. Overall, a very good stay.
• Nga (9/5): - Mango Bay resort is situated in a quiet, serene, and natural surroundings. If you're looking for a tranquil, laid-back, and natural environment rather than one that was made by humans, you might want to think about staying here. Although the beach area is small and rocky, but the beach is quite, water is clean and clear that you could spend the entire day relaxing on the beach. The cuisine at the restaurants was good, and we had a great time there.

• Lorna (9/5): Idyllic beach resort - We really loved our stay at Mango Bay resort. Our little bungalow with its amazing outdoor bathroom was very comfortable with great air conditioning around the bed so we slept so well. The breakfasts were the best we had in Vietnam overlooking the sea every morning and cocktails at sunset at the beach bar were also fabulous. The prices in the restaurant are very high so we didn’t eat there and we thought happy hour could have been a bit more generous than just 15% off. Otherwise fabulous though!

Le fait que les bungalows ne soit pas isolés est un inconfort réel et pose problème : cela donne la possibilité d’être visités par des bébêtes dont on ne sait pas si elles sont dangereuses ou pas et surtout cela expose aux gens qui se croient seuls sur terre qui parlent (très) fort et / ou en laissent leurs enfants crier ou hurler.

• Derek (10/5): Fantastic resort to escape city life and get back to nature - Stunningly beautiful grounds and beaches. Cabins/bungalows are very clean and comfortable. Delicious meals in both restaurants. No "fresh" milk, only UHT box milk. In fact, real fresh milk is very hard to find on the island. UHT milk is everywhere. Pillows were a little too thick and firm for my liking, but I'm rather picky.

Спасибо за гостеприимство! - Персонал- огромная благодарность всему персоналу, особенно девушкам на ресепшене, которые помогали нам решить все возникающие вопросы.. Ресторан- В отеле ресторан и пляжный бар. Вся еда очень вкусная, но, я бы добавила больше шведского стола на завтраки. Пляж- Шикарный в нескольких местах. камни совершенно не мешали, лежаков хватало всем в любое время, пляжные полотенца меняли по любому желанию. В отеле есть СПА салон, йога, поле для волейбола, экран для фильмов под открытым небом, САПы, Каяки, маски для ныряния... В отеле есть бесплатный мини-бас, который ходит в город, аэропорт. Территория- шикарная, много тенистых деревьев. Вилла- потрясла все ожидания! Поражают все, продуманные до мелочей, детали: минибар, холодильник, бесплатный чай- кофе, фумигаторы, туалетная комната и душевая комната, находящиеся, практически, на природе. :) Не понравилось то, что, я думаю, не зависит от сотрудников отеля, это- цикады, которые кричали так, что нельзя было спокойно разговаривать с рядом стоящим человеком. Отсутствует телевизор.

• Karina (10/5): Ein Ort, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen! - Absolut traumhafter Ort! Auf meinem 2 wöchigen Vietnamtrip war das die schönste Unterkunft. Ich habe alles daran geliebt. Man kommt ganz bei sich an. Die Natur umgibt einen überall. Überall sind neue kleine Ecken und zauberhafte Örtchen zu entdecken. Auch die Beachbar und das Restaurant haben eine tolle Karte. Besonders tolle internationale Weine, welche man so in Vietnam sonst selten bekommt. Ich war danach noch im anliegenden Hotel Ocean Bay, welches im vergleich zum Mango Bay gar nicht mithalten kann. Mango Bay ist einfach eine Klasse für sich. Man sollte keine „Angst“ vor den 3 Sternen haben. Das Hotel sind solide 4-5 Sterne. Ich komme wieder! Alles super!

• Tatjana (10/5): Eine absolute Empfehlung! - Der Strandabschnitt ist sehr schön, es gibt zwar Felsen/Steine am Strand, aber auch Sandstrandbereich zum reinlaufen. Die Anlage ist sehr grün gestaltet und man fühlt sich wie im Dschungel, der Geräuschkulisse inklusive (z.B. Zikaden). Die Zimmer waren sauber, das Personal sehr freundlich. Außerhalb der Anlage kann man in der Nähe fußläufig einkaufen und Essen gehen. Das Frühstück war ein Traum, eine gute Auswahl und Qualität an Speisen.
• Espitia Castiblanco (10/5): Paradisíaco - La ubicación perfecta, es un hotel muy tranquilo con vistas al mar excepcionales, un lugar perfecto para descansar, el desayuno súper completo con las delicias de la cocina vietnamita. Tienen unos parlantes que simulan el canto de los pájaros de día y de noche. Un poco absurdo porque el hotel en sí es ta rodeado de naturaleza, no se necesita de este ruido artificial. En la noche es imposible dormir porque el sonido es muy fuerte más el ruido de las chicharras es demasiado.

• Maylis S. (9/5): Magnifique resort, idéalement placé, sobre et chic - L'établissement est superbement bien placé, tout est décoré avec beaucoup de chic tout en sobriété. Le personnel est attentionné. Plusieurs activités sont proposées chaque jour (yoga, vélo, snorkeling, concerts live). Des plats traditionnels et occidentaux, tous délicieux, sont proposés au petit-déjeuner à qui l'on met 5 étoiles pour la variété et la qualité. Le restaurant principal de l'hôtel a une terrasse avec une vue panoramique exceptionnelle, idéale pour y admirer le coucher de soleil. Il y a également la possibilité d'accéder à un second bar sur une plage privatisée. Les petits bungalows ont l'avantage de ne pas être collés les uns aux autres. Ils se situent dans un écrin de verdure avec un accès facile à la plage. Les chambres sont très confortables et spacieuses. La salle de bain est ouverte sur l'extérieur ce qui a été une belle expérience. Nous avons apprécié le protocole de répulsif anti-moustique appliqué par enfumage le soir par le personnel en plus de la belle moustiquaire qui entoure le lit. Nous avons eu la visite d'un ou de plusieurs petits geckos, ce que nous trouvions charmant au début et qui l'est devenu beaucoup moins lorsqu'ils se sont mis à semer des excréments partout dans notre chambre ou qu'ils nous réveillaient la nuit en venant farfouiller dans nos affaires. Notre chambre a été une véritable arche de Noé, visitée par de nombreux petits animaux tous inoffensifs (geckos, crapauds, mille pattes, cigales) et globalement plus charmants que gênants. La carte du restaurant est un peu chère. Nous avons préféré la plupart du temps prendre nos repas à l'extérieur, dans le village où l'on trouve de nombreux restaurants proposant du poisson frais et grillé, un délice !

• ERIC (10/5): Another day in Paradise - Petit coin de paradis au plein milieu de la verdure au bord de la mer. Parfait pour farniente. Buffet petit déjeuner exceptionnel, personnel au petit soin, notamment Yen , notre petit sourire du matin toujours bienveillante. Si on devait trouver quelques choses à redire : Je dirais le tarif de la carte à midi et le soir. Bon mais un peu cher, du coup on a très souvent manger ailleurs. Et la cerise, ce serait une piscine. Pour un tel établissement ça manque un peu.

They try to be very eco-friendly and you can see that in every detail. The staff is super nice. The morning yoga sessions are a nice touch. The eco-friendliness is a bit extreme, at least for us. The house is open to any and every creature that wants to get in. Maybe a net to keep some of the bigger animals out (squirrels, large geckos) wouldn’t hurt.

The staff are very friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, making the stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. You can really feel their genuine care for the guests. The food was amazing! Fresh ingredients, delicious dishes, and lovely presentation. Breakfasts were especially enjoyable — a perfect way to start the day. This is definitely a place you’d want to come back to. Ha Giang traveling south to this lovely Island. Mango Bay was a paradise, the villa we had was looking over the ocean and in a lovely forested surround. We even had monkeys visit up in our open room bathroom shower.. they got to know us over out short 5 days. The beach was beautiful, swimming out to dock in safe calm waters, lovely beach chairs and service for lunch drinks right there. Also lot of amenities kayaks snorkels all there. And for us just relaxing watching fisherman day and night. The restaurant down by the water was our go to. The main one for breakfast too as the waters lap by your table. Could not be better. The gals were fun and so caring from turning our bedrooms down at night to dining ... always a smile and interested in our day.. outings. The little village is just a short walk, among many restaurants, outings we did one tour but regret as would have just loved enjoying more of our surroundings. The Host was lovely, he would sit and chat with you to see if they could do more for you or suggest things, live music too was wonderful. We my daughter and I truly loved all the nature around us and the ocean.. and most our host.. all of them.. from cooks to gardeners.. lovely... thank you ever so much ... a definite return... longer next time... ps they even have a huge garden area growing food for your stay... food was amazing from breakfast to dinner.. and room are well equipped with all you need for an after dinner drink or a afternoon sip.. well equipped.. best I have ever seen..

• Stefan (9/5): Sehr schön und entspannend... - Wir hatten einen Bungalow mit Klimaanlage gebucht und dieser war klasse. Groß und schön eingerichtet, mit Open-Air Bad und etwas freistehend, sodass es sehr ruhig war. Das Frühstück am Wasser war einfach toll, und der Service und die Freundlichkeit des Personals war sehr gut. Wir haben häufig im Restaurant gegessen, obwohl die Preise für Vietnam recht hoch waren, dafür war das Essen ausgezeichnet und auch etwas Besonderes. Unsere fünf Tage waren extrem entspannend und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Eigentlich nichts.

Kleine private Strände und Buchten, teilweise felsig - auch gut zum Schorcheln, teilweise Sandstrand. Viele Angebote wie Yoga, Schnorcheln, Kanu/Stand UP, Volleyball, Badminton, sogar Filmabende für Kinder. Das Frühstück war sehr ausgiebig und lecker. Generell sehr gutes Essen zu etwas gehobenen Preisen. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit, wir hatten nach einem Mosquitonetz gefragt, was innerhalb von 10 min in unserem Zimmer installiert wurde!

• Donatas (7/5): Three sleepless nights :) - I liked the location of the hotel, few people. Very lush wild environment. It's nice to spend time on the terrace of the house. Helpful staff. Good service. Good breakfast. This hotel is not suitable for those who sleep sensitively, because there is no insulation from the outside, and in the early morning, when nature wakes up, there are a lot of sounds. The fans in the house or the cooling mechanism above the bed are also noisy. The bed is covered with an insect net. You can meet lizards in the room. The shower and toilet are under the open sky, so it is not comfortable to go there at night. There is no glass in the house, only wooden grilles. This will not be a disadvantage for nature fanatics :) The hotel could take better care of the small beach - sometimes rake the sand from larger branches and the like. After evaluating the experience, the price turned out to be a bit too high.

• Fiona (8/5): Lovely eco resort with a great natural vibe, though heat and close neighbours were small downsides. - I recently stayed at Mango Bay Hotel in Phu Quoc and had a lovely overall experience. The setting is beautiful and very eco-friendly, with the hotel designed to blend naturally into the surrounding environment. One of the highlights was the outdoor bathroom — a unique touch that added to the natural, open feel of the place. The room itself was charming and comfortable, but it didn’t have air conditioning. While I understand this is part of the eco-friendly concept, it was quite hot most of the time, especially during the night. Another small downside was that the neighboring rooms are quite close, so there isn’t a lot of privacy and you can sometimes hear nearby guests. That said, the atmosphere of the hotel is peaceful and relaxing, and the staff and overall environment make it a very pleasant place to stay. If you’re happy with a more natural, eco-style experience and can handle the heat, Mango Bay is a lovely spot in Phu Quoc Apart from lack of AC in my room, another small downside was the food offering. While the food quality was excellent at both restaurants, there wasn’t a lot of authentic Vietnamese food available outside of breakfast. It would have been nice to see more local Vietnamese dishes on the lunch and dinner menus to match the otherwise very local and natural feel of the resort. Lots of wildlife in my room, but that’s to be expected.

The breakfast was excellent, so many delicious things to choose from and a beautiful setting. The restaurant was very expensive. The price was about four times as much as just outside the resort.

The staff are utterly superb and could not have done enough to help us whenever we needed anything. The food is superb, all orchestrated by the brilliant Head Chef, Scotty. The topography is glorious with all its private beaches. The wooden bungalows, on stilts, are wonderfully stylish with an understated air. This place is suitable for all ages and lots form children to do. we would like to go back there every year.

The breakfast was amazing with a served breakfast choice of Western and Vietnamese options and the staff were all so lovely. The restaurant food was excellent and very well prepared and presented. There wasn't much at all. If I was to be very picky I would have preferred a slightly softer mattress .

• Mark (10/5): Wonderful rural retreat on a fine bay - Wonderfully peaceful eco bungalows in a fabulous unspoilt setting by the sea. Excellent breakfasts and impeccable service. Highly recommended for those who like quiet secluded comfortable simplicity by the sea. First class cuisine. Mango Bay is not cheap and the food and drinks are expensive for Vietnam, but there are plenty of good restaurants nearby if one doesn’t want to splash out.

• Berti03 (10/5): The Perfect Island Escape! - This is a real gem of a resort, so much so we changed our flights and opted to stay an extra night! You are completely immersed in nature here and the accommodations blend seamlessly into the surrounds. We had 2 different accommodation types, the first 4 nights in one of the Superior Garden View Rammed Earth Bungalows and the last in one of the Superior Sea View Veranda Rooms. Both sets of accommodations were amazing - particularly the outdoor bathrooms - and had the same in room amenities, but the bungalow was more private with it's own veranda, outdoor table & chairs and sun loungers. The outdoor bathroom area was also much larger. We really appreciated the conservation efforts of providing glass bottles for drinking water which you could take to be refilled. Also provided were beach bags and beach towels to be used during your stay. The only big negative in both rooms is the lack of shelving to put anything on and you essentially have to live out of your suitcase. The service from ALL THE STAFF here was second to none!! The manager also made a point greeting all guests during their stay which was appreciated. The breakfast was out of this world - so many continental options and a good selection of cooked breakfasts both western and local - and was so filling it kept us going until dinner. We ate here in the evening twice, once in the On the Rock Restaurant and once at the Beach Bar, and although both meals were excellent and beautifully presented, they were not the cheapest (it is a resort after all) so we are off site the remainder of our time there. There are 2 beaches, one quieter and rockier, the other near the Beach Bar restaurant which had a great swimming area and also then the option to get refreshments. Sun loungers were plentiful with both sunny and shady options. Other offerings that we didn't make use of but are available are the spa, activity centre (kyaks, snorkeling gear etc.), complimentary bicycles, and several times per day complimentary shuttle to the town should you wish to explore further. This is definitely more than a 3 star resort in my opinion and you will not be disappointed if you stay here!!

• slowtrav (10/5): Laid back resort - We stayed in a rammed earth room with a shared terrace. Our room was comfortably spacious - could have used some more shelves or drawers. The open air bathroom was a treat - large, airy, with a small enclosed green area. The property is large and paved walking paths are a bonus for walking/jogging. The location is quiet and tranquil. Both restaurants offer quite a variety of choices, including vegetarian. Locations for each restaurant offer different views. The live music at one of the restaurants is a special treat. Breakfast offers a lot of choices, including Asian and Western. Staff is attentive and very warm. I had two treatments at the spa and one of them, the signature massage was excellent - this of course depends wholly on the therapist. The spa space is serene, tranquil, beautifully done up. Restaurant food and spa treatments are somewhat high - perhaps the price of staying at a resort. The walls are thin - you can hear conversations in adjacent rooms. A full length mirror in the room would have been a big plus. Overall, it's an eco-friendly, somewhat rustic resort that offers a lot of privacy and laid-back charm.

• Linda (9/5): Fabulous - We were slightly worried that it might be too ‘rustic’ and only a 3* but we needn’t have worried! Definitely worthy of 4 * of course that will be because there is no swimming pool but why do you need a swimming pool when you can jump out of your bed onto a sun longer on a lovely sandy beach! Everything was wonderful…about the only place I didn’t get a mosquito bite…everything is planned to the finest detail including a complimentary mosquito spray. The breakfast was fabulous I have to eat gluten free and was presented with a plate of lovely gluten free bed, cakes and pastries each morning. Can highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere that is value for money, is relaxing and away from the bustle and where every need is catered for. Thank you! Nothing

J espère que nous aurons l’occasion d’y retourner. Pas aimé est un grand mot. Un après-shampoing et un sèche-cheveux auraient été un plus, mais l’hôtel était tellement agréable que cela n’enlève rien à l’expérience.

• Florence (10/5): Il reste un bout de paradis sur l’île, c’est ici…! - Alors moi tout m’a plu…!!! Sur une île en pleine destruction par frénésie immobilière avec des constructions en béton titanesques, il y a ce coin de paradis…! Des bungalows éparpillés dans une jungle maîtrisée, dont l’aération se fait comme dans les farés polynésiens par les toits qui ne sont pas clos et avec un système ingénieux de climatisation intégrée au lit à baldaquin (dont nous n’avons pas eu besoin), une salle de bain extérieure dans la verdure, un super petit déjeuner au son du ressac, un personnel aux petits soins, une plage propre, un bar de plage idyllique pour le coucher du soleil avec une chanteuse enchanteuse…et bien sûr puisqu’on parle nature, pas de bruits de véhicules mais celui des geckos, des crapauds, des oiseaux, de la mer… Profitez vite d’un endroit comme celui ci avant que les investisseurs ne viennent faire tourner les toupies….!!!

• Alice210869 (10/5): Beautiful eco-resort, exceptional in every way - Mango Bay is a superb eco-resort on the coast of Phu Qoc island, Vietnam. The location is stunning. There is no pool but the beaches are superb and safe for swimming, paddling, kayaking (kayaks provided). The resort is private and self contained, quiet, incredibly relaxing. There are hammocks and loungers. There are two superb restaurants on site. The rooms are simple but beautifully appointed. Every details is attended to. The beds are supremely comfortable. Air conditioning is provided over the beds. There is a massage centre on site. The massages are amazing. The staff are friendly, relaxed and attentive. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Der Strand ist wunderschön und ruhig, die Bungalows, die sich toll in die Landschaft einfügen, das Spa, das Restaurant… Alles echt ein Traum! Und das Personal: super aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Alles war perfekt!
