Guest Reviews
- Paramabhakta (6/5): - Room was well overpriced.Entrance not very inviting.can do with a better short.
- Sandra (4/5): - A warm welcome by lovely people. Shockingly old hotel in need of much work. Some really easy fixes would be a few new curtain hooks. Simply rip off the already peeling wall paper and paint the walls. The removal of ancient electric bar heater on the wall (not working) & filthy extension lead left by bed to plug in old fan heater.
On the up side clean sheets and kettle provided with Tea, coffee, hot choc, sugar n milk. We left without sampling breakfast.
- David (8/5): The Well Parc, Trevone. - My second time staying at the Well Parc, which in a good location.
The staff/owners are friendly and welcoming.
The room I had was fit for purpose and I slept very well.
The hotel has a bar and also serves food and the fish and chips I had were excellent.
In summary… the location, price and the option of wonderful food makes The Well Parc worthy of a stay.
- Marilyn (10/5): Ideal for a stopover along the south West Coast pa - Friendly family run hotel. Perhaps a little dated but the rooms were spotless and very comfortable. And a decent shower
Staff were very friendly and helpful .
The hotel is just a five minute walk across fields from Trevone beach and coast path so ideally located for what we wanted.
Padstow is walkable. We took the longer coastal route, 6 to 8 miles depending which path you take. Coming back, we took the shorter 2 mile-route across the fields.
We stayed in Trevone for the evening to eat at the Beachside Café and listen to some local live music.
A very enjoyable stay.
- Pauline (10/5): - Very friendly and laid back family run hotel. Food was very good and i felt very welcome as a solo traveller
- Isabella (10/5): - we had a great stay considering being on a budget, we were welcome by lovely staff that were very family orientated and included family members were possible, we came in before check in and our room was ready for us with no hassle, wifi provided was strong and front door key was provided as we were going to be out late. overall we felt very comfortable and safe here and would come again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A really nice stay at the Hotel would recommend it in the West country. The staff where really helpfull and attentive.
- Michael (6/5): - The property is in a very poor state of repair, inside & out. The communal areas are full of "stuff", the stair carpets are in a desperate need of a clean, the bedroom was ok, the bathroom needs ripping out completely.
The owner/staff were very pleasant, the breakfast was very good.
- Laura (8/5): - Its is far from the fanciest of places but is great for a few nights away. Fine as a solo traveller but as the showers are in the main room, may not be suitable for multiple guests. Amazing location though and proper pub grub which was fab.
- Paula (8/5): - The property is tired and does need updating, however would we stay again - absolutely yes, the quiet position, the views of the bay, the good food and most importantly the family and staff who will do their upmost for you and are so welcoming and lovely. We will definitely be back next year!
- Ron (8/5): - A litle cul-de-sac with fields beyond The field below a lovely sloping camping field. The beach a short walk below
So lovely and quiet, yet just over a mile from heaving Padstow
- Peter (2/5): - It was filthy dirty and unhygienic, in our room was broken furniture, human poo left in the toilet, shower had not been cleaned for a very long time. En suite door had the handle hanging off. Basin drain plug would not work or seal so would not hold water. in the reception area was a picnic bag full of mouldy food and flies.
- Kathleen (4/5): - Condition of the hotel was poor but staff were lovely.
- Andrew (6/5): But like a hostel - Mould and damp in the hall outside my room, poor parking and generally the reception area was very messy. Good location
- Stephen (10/5): - Perfect for the price. And the lasagne was delicious.
- Antony (2/5): - The hotel looked like a horders hovel . Having booked a sea view room we were shown to a small back bedroom with a view over the car park. In fairness our room was changed at request , our wardrobe appeared to be a store area for out of date tvs x 4 . We paid £130 for one night stay , room only , and couldn’t wait to check out the following morning.it was very scruffy , dilapidated , depressing serving cloudy beer from the bar.
- Sanjeev (4/5): - hospitable people , good food , dining options were good, but not good for staying in the hotel rooms were in terrible state.
- Adam (10/5): - Good value. Staff/ family are friendly. Great as a stop over if you are walking, beaching, staying over for work and are not looking for an experience stay.
Property could do with some rennovation and modernisatio n but perfectly ok.
- Steve (8/5): - Great location, family friendly, great food.
A bit dated but has all you need.
- Mark and Tracy (8/5): - Room was cold ..no radiator just a small electric fan heater ...location is good ..very good views of the coast ...breakfast was not included in the price either ...building in need of a lick of paint but otherwise enjoyed our stay...friendly staff too .
- poppy (10/5): - Lovely family run hotel with fantastic views across trevone bay. Plenty of parking, lovely garden area. We stayed in a basic double room, very clean and a comfy bed, perfect for our needs for the night. Thank you team well Parc for a the fantastic fireworks display, probably the best one we have seen in many years.
- veronique (10/5): Perfect . Nature. Beach. Walks - Perfect
- Kitty Kit (10/5): - The owners and all the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again without a second thought. We miss waffles the dog too.
Gary & Kitty from Vancouver.
- KATHERINE (10/5): - Everything was amazing, the staff are so friendly and I will certainly be recommending to friends
Thank you for a great stay
- Verified traveler (4/5): Run down room - I walked in and was greeted by a lady that walked right up to me (literally right up) and asked what i wanted. After saying i had a booking she replied to someone else saying ‘thats interesting’ and walked off. I was then asked if booked on that day which i hadnt. I had booked in advanced. I was then given a room which was clearly the most run down room judging by the images online. Curtain hanging which means i couldnt pull them closed so i had to repair them myself! Shower in the bedroom with a carpet? Not en-suite. Kettle needed to be plugged in… somewhere…
Dingy toilet room with enough space for a cat, if your lucky. Milk carton ls handed to you in a bowl… strange. No one around in the morning to drop key off.
- andrew (4/5): - Just needs some cleaning, painting and decorating
- Victoria (10/5): Thank you for a fabulous stay - Cheap and basic but clean. £130 for two nights. This hotel is a 2 minute drive for Padstow harbour so location was excellent and 10X cheaper than the rest of the hotels.
Well Parc hotel owners and staff were fantastic, friendly and very accommodating, I even borrowed the owner’s hair straighteners. There was real pub grub cooked and made by the own which was of great quality and taste.
I was a little angry and annoyed to read negative comment about paint coming off walls. If you are looking for a higher standard go a pay £300 a night in Padstow itself or if you behave nothing nice to say keep your opinions to yourself.
Thank you for a great stay.

- Alison (4/5): - Awful, the place was dated, needed a lot of work and refurbishment. The owners were lovely but the property needs a complete makeover
- Michael (2/5): - We drove 4 hours to stay at the original property to be told our booking had been cancelled , however no one had been in contact to advise us of this .
Expedia managed to find us this second booking which was the only place available so due to it getting late we accepted and drove over to find this dirty run down property , beds were unmade .. we ended up staying in our car all night and also lost our payment .
Disgusting hotel !Avoid at all cost !!
- Verified traveler (6/5): In need of tlc - Room was small but everything was clean. Shower was on the small side and accessing the toilet was really awkward. Staff really friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hotel has obviously seen better days, but the room was clean and very comfortable. So, no complaints.
- Cathryn (10/5): - Lovely property great views in perfect location
- Tomasz (8/5): - Good Nice looking garden around the hotel.
- patricia (10/5): - A wonderful family and friendly atmosphere. It may need some updating with the decor, but the beds and rooms were comfortable and clean.
The evening meal and breakfast were both excellent.
The views and outside areas were breathtaking.
I would definitely stay there again.
- terence (10/5): - if your looking for a glitzy ,shiney hotel then its not for you. however, if you like a family run country pub/hotel its perfect. . hotels been run by the same family for 42 years, so they know how to do it. rooms, bedding, towels ect perfectly clean. staff , super friendly and helpful, food lovely, beer same. but the lovely landlady/owner went beyond.....i dont drive and hotels away from padstow, it was rainy so twice she offered to drive me in to padstow, so i didnt have to wait in the rain for a bus. how many hotel owners would do that?
- Clive (2/5): - Scruffiest hotel I have ever stayed in
- Penny (10/5): - We'd come down to for a family event that I had organised and I was slightly stressed and the Well Parc was just the perfect place for us. Quiet, cosy, and such comfy beds! My daughter needed to join us at the last minute and the staff for so kind and fitted her in. The family atmosphere was relaxing, the breakfast and coffee v good and it was perfect.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Clean and comfortable nights sleep. Good location for Padstow and the surrounding area.
Check-in/out felt disorganised and some areas needed redecorating or repair. Somewhere to sit in the room other than the bed would be useful.
A budget option, but some small improvements would make a big difference to the guest experience.
- Christine (10/5): - The location was perfect and the staff were lovely and very friendly.
- Chris (10/5): - The family and their assistants make for a very happy family atmosphere while maintaining a good basic level of service while being willing to do iwhatever they can to assist guests in every way..
- Diane (6/5): Beautiful views close to the beach - The Location of the hotel was perfect for the beach and the views were amazing. The owners were very friendly. The rooms were clean and presentable but the hotel itself looked tired & could do with a lick of paint.
We stayed in the double budget room which was on the small side and only had a single wardrobe so not much hanging space for our clothes and very little drawer space. So not ideal for a weeks stay as we had to leave most of our clothes in the suitcase. Whilst we were there I did look at the other rooms in the hotel which were bigger and had double wardrobes and full sets of drawers some with a lovely sea view. So would definitely book one of these rooms next time. There was free parking on the hotel grounds. All in all we had a lovely comfortable stay.
- Raymonde (4/5): - This was a disappointing experience - shabby entrance - no reception ; not unwelcoming but not welcoming either.
Room was basic in the extreme - but that was fine but the shower was in the bedroom which was weird with perspex cubicle next to the bed !!
Toilet a struggle to get in and we are small people.
It did a job but we will not be returning
- Amy (6/5): - Great price for one night stop over.
- paula (6/5): - People were so lovely and helpful, food was great!
- Barry (4/5): - The hotel does not have facility to dry or Air beach wear, bathroom very dated bedroom was the same but bathroom was in major need of refurbishment
- Anthony (10/5): It ain’t the Ritz, but it is good value / friendly - Nice people and nice place
- Susan (10/5): - Great value for money in a quirky hotel.
- yoram (2/5): Shockingly dirty and neglected hotel - My husband and I arrived for the night at this hotel and were amazed by the dirt, the neglect, the atmosphere, everything was terrible and we didn't want to stay there another minute. Unfortunately it was late and we could not find an alternative hotel and we had to spend a night in the room and in the dirtiest and most neglected hotel we have ever seen in our lives, it was a shame. It is forbidden to go there and it is very embarrassing that the "Hotels" company has a hotel of this level in their database.
- linda (10/5): - Lovely clean room and very friendly welcome by Wayne.
- Jude (10/5): - Great location. Lovely people. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The pool is in a garden and feels secluded and clean. We will definitely be back.
- Mark (6/5): Cheap stopover venue - Quick overnight stay before work the next day. The hotel was easy to find and in a good location for Padstow and surrounding area.
Welcome was friendly and good bar and food options however the whole building is in need of decoration inside and out. Comfy in the rooms and the bed and bathroom facilities were all clean and tidy. It is the paint peeling in the bathroom and corridors and also around the room that lets it down. However for a quick over night at not extortionate rates it was ok.
- Philip (10/5): - Lovely stay, great food and restaurant w bar. Friendly staff- Id do it again if I find myself back in that area.
- Andrew (8/5): - The Well Parc is a family run hotel with a great history of service and hospitality. Beautifully located away from overly touristy areas and offers a safe and quite location. Staff were wonderful. Would definitely stay again.
- Jay (6/5): - The room was very small with most of the room occupied by the double bed.
The door to the en suite did not close properly amd rubbed on the floor and made a noise when using the door at night. The bathroom window was a clear glass pane...not very private.
No toileteries (shower gel etc). No towel or linen changes.
On the plus side, its in a good lacation. The staff were freindly as were the locals. The food was good...we had a pizza and fiah and chips. Its within walking distance to the coast via the coastal path.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A really nice place, amazing view and staff were great. Needs a bit of a refresh and quite old and dated.
- Frederick CRAIG (8/5): Hotel / Bar with a community hub - The Venue needs a refresh and fittings like the shower (very noisy though delivers) needs replacing. I hope this place survives, though I suspect it will be bought out and knocked down for another second home
- Jonathan (8/5): - The owners and staff were very friendly and made it feel more like a home than a hotel.
Excellent location, great breakfast and amazing views and garden space.
- Ben (8/5): Great value Cornish B&B - Had a lovely 2 night stay in one of the friendliest places I’ve been to.
Owners/management/staff couldn’t have been nicer.
Beautiful location 5 minutes walk from the beach.
This place isn’t the Ritz but for £55 a night (even during a sunny half term holiday!) it was incredible value, clean comfy bed, decent shower and a great pint of Guinness-what more do you really need from a hotel
- Cassandra (10/5): - Family owned and staff are brilliant, friendly and so nice. Room was great size and had everything I needed. Will be back
- DAVID (10/5): Great location for walking the coastal path . - Overall a nice friendly local pub and excellant value .An early continental breakfast was a bonus .The location was ideal for walking the coastal path .
- Andrew (10/5): - Really friendly staff, incredible location, and lovely room. Would recommend!
- Nicholas John (10/5): Great Place to Stay - Really convenient location for walking the coastal path. Clean room and comfy bed. Friendly staff and a fantastic atmosphere in the community pub and restaurant. I will definitely use it again.
- Miranda (8/5): Clean and comfortable - Lovely place, felt clean and comfortable. Service was great, and staff were super helpful. Views from our room and breakfast room were stunning. Would definitely come back!
- Roger (10/5): - Great family hotel
- Alexis (10/5): - Brilliant location and very friendly people running it. I will return soon.
- Martin (8/5): - Nice property and location, friendly staff. Sensor light in bathroom leaves you on dark if you don't move, soap dish in shower would be a plus.
- Julia (8/5): - Very pleasant sunny room and nice food for evening and breakfast meals.
- Mavoto (8/5): Good - Well located , very friendly staff, the room numer 7 floor and toilet need to get sorted but overall it was amazing no complaints.
- Dawn (10/5): Day trip to Padstow . - Fantastic location , great views, good food. Good service. Walking distance to Padstow.
- TImothy (10/5): - Great stay, nice hotel
- TJ (10/5): - Very good
- Wendy (6/5): - Near a lovely beach with a great coastal walk with fabulous views.
- Colin and Mary (10/5): - Friendly and welcoming and also a great location for the beach and surrounding areas. Perfect spot to stay!
- Chris (10/5): - It is family run and has that atmosphere of being welcomed into a family home
- Sue (10/5): - Stayed here as was having a helicopter flight @ st Ives. Very friendly owners, staff and locals. Great views, near beach, great walks, near Padstow.
- JENNIFER (10/5): - Fabulous food. Friendly staff. Beautiful sunsets from the terrace.
- JENNIFER (10/5): - A great find in a beautiful spot.
- Joy (4/5): - This could be a fabulous place but it is tired, outdated and the housekeeping and maintenance leave a lot to be desired. The room was large and had a fabulous view but the TV was the smallest I think I have ever seen and there was no tea or coffee provided, only hot chocolate. The bathroom was in a time warp from the 1970's with its turquoise suite which is not an issue if the room is clean and well kept but the radiator was rusty, the floor covering well stained and the window in need of some serious TLC. The curtains were hanging down because the hooks had come off the track and nobody had bothered to put them back on. You were requested to leave room keys when away from the hotel and hang them on a hook where anyone has access to them. No safe for valuables in the room either. Security didn't seem to be great. On the positive side it is only a short walk through the property garden and its campsite to get to a sandy beach or walk on the cliffs along the coastal path.
- Peter (10/5): - It ticked all the boxes I required. The evening meal was excellent as was the full English breakfast. I will be arranging another trip but with seven others naxt time
- Jacqueline (8/5): The WellParc Hotel - The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable.
- Lesley (8/5): Trevone stay - Family run hotel, everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to make my stay a good one. My room was clean, but could have done with a decorating touch up. En-suite lovely. Plenty of tea and coffee available. Food in the bar was really nice, can recommend the lasagna especially. Would have liked breakfast to be included in the price and available earlier than 8.30, I only had it on my last morning and it was lovely, but with nowhere else to go I had to wait until I got into Padstow. Overall I loved the friendly family atmosphere and would definitely book again.
- Steve (10/5): - Very friendly staff made you feel very welcome and food was excellent warm atmosphere would definitely stay here again
- Sarah (8/5): - Great location, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable rooms and really good value for money.
- Lynda (4/5): Needs closing and starting again!!!!! - View from hotel fantastic, people friendly and that is the end of the good points.
Basically it is basic! Awful, unmatched, shoddy, cheap furniture, bedside light with no bulb, ancient blue bathroom with rust everywhere ....corridors and public areas full of junk - from floor to ceiling in some parts, no toiletries and £110 for a night with no breakfast....will not be going again, nor recommending.
- Verified traveler (6/5): B&B not hotel - Bit conflicted about my review for this place. On the one hand, the family that owns/runs the place was very nice and I hate to say anything negative and risk damaging their business.
On the other hand, we did have a few small complaints. Firstly, the property was 100% a B&B, NOT a hotel. There's no mention of it in the description/name and the photos hide the fact, but you are staying in a large house in which a family also resides full-time. To that effect, there were kids there during our stay who had a tendency to slam doors and run around rather loudly across the wood floors downstairs--all of which could clearly be heard from our room upstairs. There were also family pets on site, which was also not mentioned on their hotel site or the Hotels.com listing. I am not allergic, but if someone were, this might be an issue, so I feel it should be clearly stated.
However, on the positive side, I do want to mention that the breakfast we had there was one of the best cooked breakfasts we had at any B&B during our trip of over 3 weeks!
- Mark (10/5): - Very friendly, food was fantastic and views were amazing. Would definitely stop again.
- Barry (10/5): Definately coming back! - First time I have stayed at the Parc Well and it wont be the last. Lovely place in lovely location, dead handy for Padstow, friendly staff, friendly cat and dog. I will be definately bookiong in here next year.
- Michael (10/5): A very pleasant experience. - I stayed at the Well Parc hotel 4 nights. The bed was very comfy, I could make tea or coffee in my room. Everything was clean the shower was good and the bathroom clean. There was a television which also gave you Netflix. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall I would go there again definitely.
- Wendy (6/5): Disappointed - WellParc is in a lovely location and our room looked out over the sea. We arrived and was greeted by a lady and her little daughter. We were given our key and told where to find our room. Booked as a couple, there were tea and coffe making facilities only one cup and glass so straight away i had to go and ask for more. The room was small but adequate, the bed comfortable. Disappointed with the cleanliness the carpets had not been vacuumed and rhe windows were dirty. The shower room was clean but again only one towel and no shower or shampoo products provided. Overall the hotel needs a good clean and updating it was very untidy, screeming children running around and cats on the table in the dining room. All in all a disappointment. This is a family run hotel and with some money spent on it to bring it up to date and a good clean and tidy up, with its location would be a lovely place to stay. In its present state i wouldnt recommed it. £110.00 per night for room only is over priced
- Charles (10/5): Only A Ten - I was tempted to give the Green Apple a 1. Why? To keep this gem all for myself...heh, heh, heh.
In reality, however, Adrian and the Green Apple deserve a 12!
Adrian was a delightful host; always available but never imposing. He's knowledgeable about the area and was able to provide directions as well as suggestions for places to eat and places to visit.
It goes without saying that everything one could want was provided; from a comfortable bed to a varied and substantial breakfast.
Your visit to Cornwall will be enriched should you choose to stay here.
- Terry (10/5): - Great stay
Family run hotel and e trembly friendly
Great staff
Great food.the fish and chips to die for
- Bonnie (8/5): Lovely little stay - The well park is a really nice little stay in Trevone, the car park is a little small but only having 7 rooms this is not a big issue. We were welcomed and given all the information we needed on arrival. Our room itself had a lovely big window with a wonderful view of the sunset, the bed was very comfy however creaked with your every move. The bathroom seems to have been done quite recently and is of great quality, however the sliding door was an interesting feature as it did not lock and there was no light switch as it was motion detected. This resulted in sometimes the light being on for a long time (which at night was not ideal) or in my experience, the light turning off several times while I tried to shower. The facilities provided in the room were excellent and a lovely clean kettle is always appreciated!
- Simon (10/5): - A place with a real sense of home, two large lounge areas and a bar, food was excellent and the room had all you need, with a comfy bed. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.
- Andrew (4/5): - Great view. Large room. Comfortable bed. Hot shower and quality towels.
Downstairs was untidy and shared with children running around. Room freezing cold. Windows wide open. Breakfast not included.
- Andrew (10/5): Nice Hotel, great place to see sunsets. - This is a nice hotel that needs a little touch up here and there. I stayed just the one night as I was making my way down the Cornwall coastline. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and fresh linen all around. The staff were very friendly too in the time I was there.
- Anthony (10/5): - Amazing view from the room. Lovely location. Nice clean room. Friendly and helpful stuff. Excellent food.
Superb value for money.
- Lara (8/5): - Just a lovely cornish old fashioned type place, away from all the chains. And a sea view room
- Mary (8/5): - The hotel was run down which was a pity.
- Christine (4/5): - The hotel is well run down and needs revamping. Damp on the walls leading to the rooms.furniture falling apart carpets dirty. But on the up side staff and food good.
- Chris (10/5): - The great thing about the Well Parc is the friendliness and atentiveness of the family running it and the staff. It has such an excellent situation and the relaxed atmosphere.
